Ensuring the governance of Agile projects
In projects based on the Agile methodology, the scope is a variable element, which is defined as
the project progresses.
However, management still needs to have reliable and homogeneous indicators of project
performance.
Concept: to provide management with useful information on the progress of projects based on
Agile methodology, being able to govern through a single tool, projects in which both
methodologies converge.
Innovation: through the definition of parametric indicators, we have developed a logic for
measuring the activities of the teams operating in Agile.The collected data are conveyed,
through a specific connector, inside Cardinis. The information related to the project,
summarized in the classic Cardinis Dashboard, allows the Management to obtain a clear and
immediate view of the progress of the project.

Classic Project, simplifying its management, through automatisms that reduce
operations.
The objective is to ensure that the Management has the information necessary for the
government of the projects, without complicating their operation.
Support simple projects: make the definition and management of a project fast, simple
and efficient.
This allows even less structured organizations to manage small projects, or to
progressively approach the logic of Project Management

We have developed integration logics with the most popular Issue Traking applications,
to govern micro-activities (for example, software maintenance, small evolutionary and bug
fixing on Digital solutions) and lead them back to an overall development or maintenance
project.
In this way, while decreasing the level of complexity, it is possible to provide the
Management with the information necessary for the government of the projects.
Allow the user to create, save and edit project templates from which to start defining a
subsequent project.
Development of wizard functionalities that allow to follow the user step by step in the
creation and definition of a new project, in a simple and intuitive way, so as to speed up
the definition process.

Digital Assistant for Project Manager

Project management involves the collection of large amounts of data, related to activities,
time, resources.
This volume of data is undoubtedly valuable but not easily interpreted and reusable by the
Project Manager. Data analysis requires resources and skills that are not always immediately
available to the Project Manager.
It is therefore necessary to identify a technique for analysing project data, in order to obtain
all the information that can be reused for the management of subsequent projects.
Given the volume of data, it was considered that this analysis should be managed not by the
human Project Manager, but by the specially trained machine.

Digital Assistant for Project Manager

IA applied to Project Management
Concept: provide a Digital Assistant for the PM, able to analyze large volumes of
historical data and and support the PM in the decision-making process.
The PM will then be able to make an informed decision, based on information that he
would not be able to retrieve easily independently and with a greater degree of accuracy.
Innovation: we have developed machine learning techniques applied to estimation
processes, analysing historical data present in the system.
In addition to the data analysis algorithm, we have developed techniques that allow the
machine to read the descriptions of the activities through the nodes of the WBS
The application is able to make the necessary correlations, in order to recover the
information useful to be processed and provide the hypothesis of estimation.

The accuracy of the forecasts obtained from the predictive model (measured by
the coefficient of determination R2) measures 0.5 against a 0.448 obtained from
the forecasts proposed by the human project manager.

However, management still needs to have reliable and homogeneous indicators of project performance. Concept: to provide management with useful information on the progress of projects based on Agile methodology, being able to govern through a single tool, projects in which both methodologies converge. Innovation: through the definition of parametric indicators, we have developed a logic for measuring the activities of the teams operating in Agile.The collected data are conveyed, through a specific connector, inside Cardinis. The information related to the project, summarized in the classic Cardinis Dashboard, allows the Management to obtain a clear and immediate view of the progress of the project. In this way, while decreasing the level of complexity, it is possible to provide the Management with the information necessary for the government of the projects. Allow the user to create, save and edit project templates from which to start defining a subsequent project. Development of wizard functionalities that allow to follow the user step by step in the creation and definition of a new project, in a simple and intuitive way, so as to speed up the definition process. This volume of data is undoubtedly valuable but not easily interpreted and reusable by the Project Manager. Data analysis requires resources and skills that are not always immediately available to the Project Manager. It is therefore necessary to identify a technique for analysing project data, in order to obtain all the information that can be reused for the management of subsequent projects. Given the volume of data, it was considered that this analysis should be managed not by the human Project Manager, but by the specially trained machine. IT Efficency Project & Portfolio Management
  • 22. 22CONFIDENTIALGFT GROUP Shaping the future of digital business Digital Assistant for Project Manager 19/10/2018 IA applied to Project Management Concept: provide a Digital Assistant for the PM, able to analyze large volumes of historical data and and support the PM in the decision-making process. The PM will then be able to make an informed decision, based on information that he would not be able to retrieve easily independently and with a greater degree of accuracy. Innovation: we have developed machine learning techniques applied to estimation processes, analysing historical data present in the system. In addition to the data analysis algorithm, we have developed techniques that allow the machine to read the descriptions of the activities through the nodes of the WBS The application is able to make the necessary correlations, in order to recover the information useful to be processed and provide the hypothesis of estimation. 0,448% Human 0,500% Machine The accuracy of the forecasts obtained from the predictive model (measured by the coefficient of determination R2) measures 0.5 against a 0.448 obtained from the forecasts proposed by the human project manager.
