My Idea
 For this project, my initial idea is to make two fashion adverts
for a spring/summer collections including a male and female
range.
 My two auxiliary tasks will be a web pop-up and a television
program sponsorship sequence.
+
Target Audience
 My target audience for my fashion advert will be teenagers and
young adults (14-24 year olds).
 I would make the brand appeal to this audience by making it
edgy and fun therefore the audience will be able to relate to the
brand and clothing range.

Example of high street clothing
adverts
 River Island Presents: Spring Summer 2013

 Festival | TV advert | boohoo.com

 boohoo Spring / Summer 2013 TV advert | Update your
summer wardrobe with boohoo.com

I have found from looking
at these adverts that they
all come across as fun and
energetic. They often:
• Show prices of clothing
items
• Have promotional offers
• Brand logo at the end of
the advert
• Bright, vibrant colours
• Fun and happy
atmosphere
• Use models
• Models have power and
status due to the
clothing they are
wearing.

My advert
 The genre of my advert will be fashion
 It will be an advert which is shown on the television when
programs of a similar genre are on or when they audience of the
program would be the same as the audience of my advert
 The key target for the advert is to persuade the target audience
to want to buy the clothing from the brand
 When thinking about who I would assign to be advert, it would
have to be ThumbsUps Productions as they have worked with the
same genre programs therefore they would be familiar with the
convention. Also they are based in London therefore lowering the
cost of production.
 When looking at marketing, my key points of focus would have to
be the product itself, models and the music.
