Ebob Reflection
The past couple of months I have devoted so much of my time asking everyone what is wrong, how do we fix it, how long has this been
happening, that I completely lost sight of recognizing how great St. Peter's is and all of the great things that are going on. Over the past couple of
months we have had a Robotics Team surpass their expectations; Science Olympiad teams do the same both of them being led by outstanding
teachers and parents. Basketball teams that excelled against both public and private schools which were comprised of over ninety of our students
and now soccer and baseball are beginning and are showing the same promise. These sports teams again being led by wonderful teachers, parents,
and volunteers donating countless hours to these programs. Yesterday our EBOB (Elementary Battle of the Books) team took first place which was

To become a self–actualized person, people must first meet certain needs. Abraham Maslow, founder of humanistic psychology had focused on the

In other eerie stories like "The Tell Tale Heart" and "The Monkey's Paw," the reader is expecting something terrible to occur. In "The Tell Tale
Heart," the reader knows for a fact that the narrator is mentally crazy. What one does not know is what kind of insane thing the narrator will do.

If I said the term "musical ear" to you, you might think I was referring to the ability to appreciate music or the talent to distinguish when someone was
singing off–key. You would be wrong.
There is actually a medical condition referred to as Musical Ear Syndrome (MES). A state found mostly in senior women suffering hearing loss.
MES seems to be brought on through sensory deprivation due to the hearing loss. It happens when a seniors brain is trying to fill the gap, the silence
or void, by fabricating information, and in MES cases, the brain is trying to fill the gap with a piece or pieces of familiar music from their past.

I Am A Great Writer
I'm a great writer. Writing is something that comes naturally to me. I don't even have to think about it most of the time. Being able to communicate
through writing is important with any career, especially management. I am very creative as well. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been into

Zig Ziglar once said, "Try to look at your weakness and convert it into your strength. That's success." This means that even though there may be traits
about yourself that are slowing you down, everything depends on the way you handle them. Although most heroes seem superhuman, they often have

This shows that Odysseus does not take into consideration other people and the risks that he is putting them in. This information shows that Odysseus

Odysseus shows terrible leadership skills through his words and actions. One way Odysseus lacks leadership is when he did not tell his crew what
was in the sack, so they took matters into their own hands and "loosed the sack and all the winds burst out and a sudden squall struck and swept
[them] back to sea" (Book X, 53–54). This means that since Odysseus was keeping secrets from his crew, they felt the need to open the sack and see
what was really inside of it. This could have all been avoided if he told them the truth to begin with and earn a role as a trustworthy leader. Another
way he lacks leadership is when they were on the island waiting for the giant and one of his shipmates said "'Let's make away with the cheeses, then
come back– hurry, drive the lambs and kids from the pens to our swift ship, put out to sea at once!' But [Odysseus] would not give way–" (Book IX,
255–258). This shows that the crew doesn't want to confront the giant because of the risks involved, but Odysseus is not concerned about the risks
and does what he pleases. A good leader would let other people share their opinions, take the risks into consideration, and then decide what to do, and

When one writes a goal down, he or she is 42 times more likely to accomplish it (Morrissey, 2016, p. 1). Not all goals are scored and tallied on a
scoreboard, but important goals come from life–long struggle and perseverance ending with ultimate triumph. Zig Ziglar reveals, "What you get by
achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals." I chose this quote because it made me realize I have
overlooked who I have become in pursuit of my goals. I have learned to value the process to truly become a better person from reaching my goals. As

Zig Ziglar once said, "When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal, you do not change your decision to get there." Any
journey has the potential to be a challenge, and perseverance is essential to overcome obstacles. In "Searching for Summer" by Joan Aiken, Tom

A few years back, on a sunny Sunday morning, I visited Palolem beach along with my cousins. The moment we reached the beach, we could see a

He helped me throughout the years in various ways. Often, I put myself in situations I would get in trouble from my parents. For example, I

As a junior in high school, I have recently become interested in psychology. While studying psychology/sociology this previous year, I have become
drawn to the topic of human potential. After gathering what I have learned, it turns out most people want to live their life to the fullest by becoming all
they can be. To reach this fulfillment of a higher/better self is known as self–actualization. A major problem for many people today is reaching their
full potential, although the potential already lies within them. Everyone has the power to succeed and to become self–actualized. All it takes is to
become an optimistic, realistic, and problem centered individual. So what is stealing people's happiness and the ability to reach their full potential?
The answer is fear. Due to doubts, fears, and temptations people are holding back from all they can be. As a result, many people are not reaching this
achievement of a greater life. Abraham Maslow stated, "Most people remain unaware of the nature, variety and extent of what lies within" (Young,
"What is Self–actualization?"). This is a common obstacle among people today, yet there is a solution. It will take many processes and life changes to
become a self–actualizing individual, but I believe that people, including myself are capable of achieving this gratification. Just like Zig Ziglar
