Here you can see that this group represents the stereotypical image of UK
grime/hip hop/ rnb artists for many reasons, the most evident when observing
the image is their outfits, because of their specific style it is easy to distinguish
their target audience. First of all, all members of the group are wearing a tracksuit
top which are frequently used in the majority of grime and hip hop videos. As
well as one of the artists is wearing a bandana which is mostly recognised as
representing a particular gang, this is well known feature in UK grime videos and
therefore would attract people who either aspire to be involved within the gang
culture or are in fact already involved. Although the genres of grime and hip hop
is mostly male dominated, the female in the group is seen integrating both the
genres in addition to femininity and glamour, this is accomplished by using skinny
jeans and high heels this also incorporates the genre of rnb as these types of
clothing are used regularly in female rnb artists for example, Beyonce and
Rihanna this widens the audience N-Dubz would appeal to.
The long shot of the group is also important when establishing the genre and
audience, because the long shot is used we are able to see the body language of
the group which shows that they are all using hand gestures, this is typical in

and grime with rnb and dance, this is shown as Jodie is wearing
an adidas tracksuit top as well as trainers which is typically a
style considered to be grime. On the other hand the black
leather outfit she is whether fits the characteristics of what a
female rnb artist would wear because it is tight fitting and
revealing.
