The study addresses influence of Education and Family Size on the Effectiveness of NULM National Urban Livelihood Mission Project in Mysore city. The study is based on primary data collected through interview methods by using structured questionnaire. 200 sample respondents are selected randomly from SHGs members under NULM Project in Mysore city. It was found from the study that majority of the respondents have done their secondary education level with mean value of 76.1728 s.d. 7.46557 , However, their awareness about various things has been increased after joining SHGs. It is suggested that creating awareness about the more government Programmes under NULM and bank procedures is necessary. The tribal people are relatively isolates, encysted, tradition bound, inward looking and less enterprising. During the post independence period, they have been experiencing induced social change through planned development and interventions. But in spite of such endeavor, the rate of progress and development are not commensurate with the expectations. Majority of cultivators use land in only in kharif season and migrated to other places for alternative occupation like brickwork, construction work and industrial purposes in lean period. Even if they do not hesitate to leave their house including all other resources and migrated to other districts and continue to work as labourer for the rest period of their life. Due to lack of sufficient scope for livelihood and deterioration of natural resources on which the tribal people depend much for their hereditary occupation, they migrate to other occupation or other places in search of job. Pitrim Sorokin (1927) defined social mobility as “any transition of an individual or social object or value, anything that has been created or modified by human activity, from one social position to another”. The mobility of the tribal people mainly depends on the availability of work/job, job satisfaction, relative economic advantage etc. The present study has been carried out with the objectives of to study the modalities of the occupational mobility from the agriculture to non-agricultural activities along with the factors responsible for such mobility.The study was conducted in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha purposefully in which the tribals occupy 58.72 % of the total population. Four blocks were selected randomly each one from four sub divisions. Fifteen tribal people were selected from each village as respondents randomly from twelve villages three from each block totaling to sample size of 180. The finding from the study implies that 86.11 percent respondents were going outside their locality for their occupation. The table indicates that majority of the respondents (63.88 %) were moving within their own locality regularly whereas 40% of the respondents were moving within their block. It was observed that majority of respondents (84.44 percent) were always moving for other occupation during the period of April to June. It was observed that 48.88 percent respondents regularly visited outside after harvest of own crop. It was also observed that mobility of the respondents according to their occupation was highest in case of agricultural labourer (53.88 %) followed by labour in construction work. In the study majority of the respondents opined that to get more income was the main factor responsible for change in occupation followed by skill developed, government developmental schemes, communication facility, infrastructural development, change in life style, educational support, social status, change in climate, extension/technical support, marketability, input support, credit support and political influence.

The study was undertaken to determine the status of rural women in terms of their social, economic and financial access to decision making and livelihood. It was conduct on January to February 2016. The data was collected by using an interview schedule from 60 women of Chinirpotol village of Saghata Upazila under Gaibandha District of Bangladesh in January to February 2017. It revealed that majority (51.67%) women can only sign but constituted economically active. It was found that they were actively participated in the household activities and their agricultural farming activities. It was also found that women played a significant role in the management of family affairs but a little participation in decision making because the male member was the head of a family and responsible for taking major decisions of the household. This study observed that a mentionable portion (88.33%) of the women was involved with non-government organizations (NGOs). The findings suggest that freedom for decision making, opportunities for active contribution and accessibility to income generating activities along with social awareness about their rights are necessary for improvement of the status of women.

Main concerns of women’s movement in India have been:
• Men outnumber women in India, unlike in most countries where the reverse is the case.
• Majority of women go through life in a state of nutritional stress - they are anaemic and malnourished. Girls and women face nutritional discrimination within the family, eating last and least.
• The average Indian woman has little control over her own fertility and reproductive health.
• Literacy rate is lower in women as compared to men and far fewer girls than boys go to school. Even when girls are enrolled, many of them drop out of school.
• Women’s work is undervalued and unrecognized. Women work longer hours than men and carry the major share of household and community work, which is unpaid and invisible.
• Once ‘women’s work’ is professionalized, there is practically a monopoly on it by men. For example, the professional chefs are still largely men. The Sexual Division of Labour ensures that women will always end up as having to prioritize unpaid domestic work over paid work. It is not a ‘natural’ biological difference that lies behind the sexual division of labour, but certain ideological assumptions.
• Women generally earn a far lower wage than men doing the same work, despite the Equal Remuneration Act of 1976. In no State do women and men earn equal wages in agriculture.
• Women are under-represented in various bodies of governance as well as decision-making positions in both public and private sectors.
• Women are legally discriminated against in land and property rights. Most women do not own property in their own names and do not get a share of parental property.
• Women face violence inside and outside the family throughout their lives.

Economic Contribution of Women in Self Help Groups: Village Level Evidence fr...iosrjce
Women in Self Help Groups (SHGs) have made their mark in the rural economy in a quite nontraditional
way. This paper examines the economic contribution of SHG women drawing on a field survey
conducted in 20 villages by canvassing a structured schedule among 150 sample respondents of two blocks of
Balasore district in Odisha, India. The findings show that women in SHG’s have made a significantly positive
contribution to employment, income, expenditure and saving at the household level. An increase in the demand
for SHG products is required for improving productivity of women and enhancing their economic contribution
in a sustainable way. A reorientation in policy is suggested for generating awareness, upgrading skills and
expanding markets in order to augment their contribution and raise their empowerment level for the benefit of
the households as well as for transforming the rural economy in a big way.

A woman’s lack of education also has a negative impact on the health and wellbeing of her children. For instance, a recent survey in India found that infant mortality was inversely related to mother’s educational level
Poverty in India is widespread, and a variety of methods have been proposed to measure it. The official measure of Indian government, before 2005, was based on food security and it was defined from per capita expenditure for a person to consume enough calories and be able to pay for associated essentials to survive. Since 2005, Indian government adopted the Tendulkar methodology which moved away from calorie anchor to a basket of goods and used rural, urban and regional minimum expenditure per capita necessary to survive.
The World Bank has similarly revised its definition and benchmarks to measure poverty since 1990, with $2.25 per day income on purchasing power parity basis as the definition in use from 2005 to 2013. Some semi-economic and non-economic indices have also been proposed to measure poverty in India; for example, the Multi-dimensional Poverty Index placed 33% weight on number of years spent in school and education and 6.25% weight on financial condition of a person, in order to determine if that person is poor.
Contribution of women empowerment towards the development in Rwanda: Case of ...Premier Publishers
The main objective of this study was to examine the contribution of women empowerment towards development in Rwanda, using Duhaguruke/Kora cooperative as a case study. The following were the specific objectives; investigate how economic activities contribute to women empowerment, explore challenges to the effective women empowerment and propose the solutions to those challenges. Data were collected from 93 respondents using questionnaires, group discussions and interviews. The cluster sampling method and simple random sampling methods were used. Findings revealed that economic activities empower women in community and they can contribute to the socio-economic development by educating their children, establishing businesses and paying taxes, paying health insurance for the family members, influence the family welfare, participation in decision making at local level through incomes from their jobs and employment. High fertility rate and gender inequalities within households were revealed as the most challenges to the effective women empowerment, other challenges observed were low education level and lack of professionalism, irresponsibility of men which affect negatively the loans management for women. Solutions suggested by participants were low fertility rate and gender equality within the family, women's education and participation in women's associations, legal marriage and greater access to credits.

Abstract : The aim of this paper was to find out the association between socio economic status and health of
the individuals residing in Delhi. A descriptive cross sectional study was conducted in the month of May 2014 in
five areas namely Trilokpuri, Sultanpuri, Seelampur, Seemapuri and Mangolpuri of Delhi. A total sample of 85
participants was conveniently selected from Medical mobile unit (MMU) of HelpAge India A semi structured
questionnaire was developed and pilot study was conducted to validate the tool. A written consent from the
respondents was taken. Kuppuswamy scale was used to calculate the socio economic status. Then the data was
analyzed using SPSS and MS excel. Results are represented as frequency, percentage and Chi-square test. The
study concluded that socio economic status and health as well as socio economic status and education has a
statistically significant association (p<0.05).

questionnaire was developed and pilot study was conducted to validate the tool. A written consent from the
respondents was taken. Kuppuswamy scale was used to calculate the socio economic status. Then the data was
analyzed using SPSS and MS excel. Results are represented as frequency, percentage and Chi-square test. The
study concluded that socio economic status and health as well as socio economic status and education has a
statistically significant association (p<0.05).

education is the biggest therapeutic power and the rise in the levels of education which nourishes progressive
stance and the beginning of industrialization and modernization have effected a sea change in the attitudes and
thinking prototype of the citizens. The empowerment is not fundamentally political single-handedly in fact;
political empowerment will not be successful in the deficiency of economic, socio-cultural and environmental
empowerment. Women empowerment is a progression in which women confront the presented norms and
culture, to efficiently encourage their well being. The involvement of women in Self Help Groups (SHGs) made a
momentous impact on their empowerment both in social and economical aspects. This study addresses women
empowerment as well as rural development through self help groups of Khejuri CD Blocks in Purba Medinipur
district of West Bengal. The information requisite for the study has been collected from both the primary and
secondary sources. A multistage random sampling method has been followed. Average and percentage analysis
was accepted out to draw significant interpretation of the results. Factor analysis was used to measure the
relationship between the observed variables. The outcome of the study revealed that the SHGs have had greater
impact on both economic and social aspects of the beneficiaries.

The study investigated women led income generating projects in Mafutseni and Dvokodvweni both constituencies in the Kingdom of ESwatini. The aim was to gain some understanding on ways in which women transform their livelihoods taking into consideration household income, skills training, and access to finance and empowerment. The objectives of the study were to determine development intervention’s influence on rural women’s livelihoods, determining the extent to which these development interventions influence rural women’s livelihoods and how education and training impact their livelihood strategies. The study established that there are an increasing number of women entrepreneurs who are becoming active players in sustainable development. Rural women in these constituencies were found to be playing an important role in economic development and poverty alleviation in their communities. Most income generating activitieshowever, did not increase household’s welfare for women who lack education and training, access to credit and management skills. It was concluded that there is a greater need to empower women for sustainable development if the country is to meet its vision 2022 developmental agenda.
Education has been considered as an important tool for all sorts of issues. This
paper intends to study the relationship between educational level, PMJDY awareness
and financial inclusion in the district of Puri, Odisha. Data were collected with the
help of a survey technique from 348 respondents in both rural and urban areas of Puri
district. Multistage purposive sampling method was used. Descriptive statistics of the
data collected reveals that financial awareness/ financial inclusion increases with
education level. It is seen that respondents with primary education and below
secondary education have more financial inclusion and PMJDY awareness due to the
reason that most of the respondents belong to that category. It is also evident that
households with graduation and above are also more likely to be financially aware
and financially included. However, to have a complete understanding of the inter
district position of Odisha there is a need for subsequent study.

Micro finance programmes targeting women empowerment have been a welcome initiative. It is recognized and accepted as one of the new development paradigms for alleviating poverty through social and economic empowerment of poor, with special emphasis on empowering women. Providing micro credit to rural women through an organized setup will make them enterprising. SHGs are a viable organized set up to disburse micro credits to rural women for the purpose of encouraging them to enter into entrepreneurial activities.
Poverty of the person is a frustrating hurdle for the household to acquire goods and services. Because of restricted access to resources, a poor person also falls short of his welfare targets. The determination of root causes of poverty must be the primary focus for the underdeveloped and developing economies. This study has used the labour force survey 2010 of Pakistan and extracted 21 indicators which are expected to affect the poverty profile of individuals. Principle factor analysis is used to find important indicators and logit model is used to analyse the effect of important indicators on $1.25 a day poverty status of individual. The result shows that it is the education levels, household size, and job characteristics which define the person being poor.

The study investigated life skills among college students. The respondents of the survey were 300 young adults aged 18 to 28 years from six colleges in Coimbatore. Life skills Development Inventory College Form was used to measure life skills in four domains interpersonal communication, decision making, health maintenance and identity development. Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. This study investigated the impact of educational background and professional training on human rights awareness among secondary school teachers in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. The key findings reveal that higher levels of education, particularly a master’s degree, and fields of study related to education, humanities, or social sciences are associated with greater human rights awareness among teachers. Additionally, both pre service teacher training and in service professional development programs focused on human rights education significantly enhance teacher’s knowledge, skills, and competencies in promoting human rights principles in their classrooms. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. Design Simulation and Hardware Construction of an Arduino Microcontroller Bas...ijtsrd
This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. METHODOLOGY
The study is based on primary and secondary data.
The primary data were collected from 200 SHGs
women entrepreneurs under NULM project. The
researcher used a structures interview schedule in the
areas of Mysore city through random sampling
methods. The secondary data were collected from
government documents prepared by Mysore City
Corporations(MCC), books, journals, newspapers and
websites to support the findings of the study.

Economic empowerment: The mean percent economic empowerment of the respondents based on educational
qualification is 70.06, 67.36, 69.33, 70.75, 74.13 and 73.75of Illiterate, Primary, Secondary, PUC/Diploma,
Graduation and Post Graduation respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non - significant mean difference
between these scores (F=0.691; p=.631), indicating that all the means are statistically similar. In other words,
educational qualification of the respondents did not significantly influence over economic empowerment.
Political empowerment: The mean percent Political empowerments of the respondents based on educational
qualification are 81.01, 80.17, 78.00, 82.90, 76.41and 84.37 of Illiterate, Primary, Secondary, PUC/Diploma,
Graduation and Post Graduation respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non - significant mean difference
between these scores (F=2.855; p=0.016), indicating that all the means are statistically similar. In other words,
educational qualification of the respondents did not significantly influence over economic empowerment.
Educational empowerment: The mean percent economic empowerments of the respondents based on
educational qualification are 84.61, 86.67, 78.35, 78.80, 78.65 and 81.67of Illiterate, Primary, Secondary,
PUC/Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a significant mean
difference between these scores (F=6.214; p=.000).Further, Scheffe’s post hoc test revealed that those who were
married had lesser educational empowerment compared to respondents of Widow and Spinster.
Social empowerment: The mean percent Social empowerment of the respondents based on educational
qualification is 80.74, 83.76, 82.34, 85.00, 82.31, and 91.66 of Illiterate, Primary, Secondary, PUC/Diploma,
Graduation and Post Graduation respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non - significant mean difference
between these scores (F=0.962; p=0.442), indicating that all the means are statistically similar. In other words,
educational qualification of the respondents did not significantly influence over economic empowerment.

Psychological empowerment: The mean percent Psychological empowerments of the respondents based on
educational qualification are 86.77, 89.52, 84.12, 84.97, 88.57 and 85.00of Illiterate, Primary, Secondary,
PUC/Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non - significant
mean difference between these scores (F=1.795; p=0.116), indicating that all the means are statistically similar.
In other words, educational qualification of the respondents did not significantly influence over economic
empowerment.

Political empowerment: The mean percent Political
empowerment of the respondents belonging to 1-2, 3-
5 and >5 member in the family is 80.60, 80.03and
79.51 respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non
- significant mean difference between these scores
(F=0.134; p=0.875), indicating that all the means are
statistically similar. In other words, number of
members in the family of respondents did not
significantly influence over economic empowerment.
Educational empowerment: The mean percent
Educational empowerment of the respondents
belonging to 1-2, 3-5 and >5 member in the family is
80.26, 81.52 and 80.61 respectively. One-way
ANOVA revealed a non - significant mean difference
between these scores (F=0.303; p=0.739), indicating
that all the means are statistically similar. In other
words, number of members in the family of
respondents did not significantly influence over
economic empowerment.
Social empowerment: The mean percent Social
empowerment of the respondents belonging to 1-2, 3-
5 and >5 member in the family is 86.56, 82.51 and
83.00 respectively. One-way ANOVA revealed a non
- significant mean difference between these scores
(F=1.543; p=0.216), indicating that all the means are
statistically similar. In other words, number of
members in the family of respondents did not
significantly influence over economic empowerment.

Psychological empowerment of the respondents
belonging to 1-2, 3-5 and >5 member in the family is
88.48, 86.17, 85.07 respectively. One-way ANOVA
revealed a non - significant mean difference between
these scores (F=1.028; p=0.360), indicating that all
the means are statistically similar. In other words,
number of members in the family of respondents did
not significantly influence over economic
empowerment.
SUMMERY
Government of India, launched NULM with the aim
of reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor
households and resting on the foundation that the
mobilization of urban poor households into SHGs and
their federations at the area and city levels, is an
important investment for an effective and sustainable
poverty reduction programme. Under NULM, to
catalyse the formation of SHGs and their federations
and promote the financial inclusion of SHG members.
It is found from the study that majority of the
respondents have completed secondary education
level. However, their awareness about various
programmes was increased after joining SHGs. It is
suggested that creating awareness about the more
government Programmes under NULM and bank
procedures is necessary. NULM programme should
Encourage the SHGs Women in participation in the
all the awareness programme in Urban Development.
