3. TARGET AUDIENCE
• As my music magazine isn't for a specific gender, I think
‘INDEX’ would be targeted at people in the age range
of 16-21; this target audience are in the age range
where festivals/tours are very popular so it appeals to
the audience because this age range tends to be
interested in popular indie artists. As this audience are
interested in indie music then this is the music genre
which my magazine based on. So the artists within the
magazine will be included on the presumption that the
audience will have knowledge of some indie artist out
there. The product also contains album reviews,
upcoming tours, festivals which will enhance the appeal
to the audience as they will want a product which
would keep them up to date with all the festival dates
and tour dates for the year.
