  4. 4. SOCIAL MEDIA City and Colour is highly active in the social media world. They are on instagram, all over facebook, very active on twitter, posting their lastest tour shows and important events. You can find them on myspace, and soundcloud. They are a very popular band that expresses their music style through the social media world as well. Just by looking at their instagram feed, you can visualize the type of music genre they are. A mellow chill out band that just enjoys the happiness of life.
  5. 5. COMMUNITY The community around City and Colour is filled with all ages and all gender. Anyone can relate to their music. Their fans are very engaged in there content such as tweeting, following and liking pictures they have posted. On instagram they have over 70,000 followers with pictures containing over 7,000 likes on over 300 pictures
  6. 6. FIND YOUR AUDIENCE? City and Colour has definitely found their audience. They have been around since 2004 to present. They have reached their audience by exposing their music all around the world. Fans have fallen in love with their music just like I have. They started locally in St. Catharines and grew by expanding all over the world. As the social content has adapted, Dallas Green and his crew has done a fantastic job of keep up with the generation.
  7. 7. POST MEANINGFUL, SHARABLE CONTENT Here is a picture that @cityandcolour posted on their twitter feed that engages their followers and allows them to experience the things that the band gets to see. It is a way to interact with your audience to show help them feel closer to you.

It is a way of showing the fans that they can purchase the latest products along with photos of recent tour updates, interactive photos to share with the world. The world can see that they re normal Canadians just watching Team Canada.
  9. 9. ENGAGE YOUR CURRENT FANS . Like stated in the previous two slides, City and Colour interactivly post pictures and engages their audience. Along with that they also Tweet out and ask the audience “what are you doing?” which gives them a chance to tweet something back at them. They also spread the word about other people such as #thelonelylife and encourages the fans to watch as well.
  10. 10. CONTINUE THE SOCIAL PUSH IRL. HAND OUT SWAG . PUT UP FLYERS . Dallas Green does a great job of posting the spots he is playing at. What I find cool about this band is the fact that they use a site called bandsintown which they tweet out constantly which allows for you too see where and when they play. You can “track” the artist as well as state whether you were at that venue or not.
  11. 11. POST CONSISTENTLY City and Colour is constantly keeping up to date with tour dates, venue spots, the latest city they were at followed by pictures. City and colour does a great job of interacting with their fans. They ask questions, show fans what they do through pictures on a day they are not playing a show, and keep things fun and energetic.
