• 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the
railway infrastructure segment has opened up
opportunities for participation in infrastructure
projects such as high-speed railways, railway
lines to and from coal mines and ports, projects
relating to electrification, high-speed tracks and
suburban corridors.
• Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor of 1856 km
length and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor
of 1504 km length is under construction. By
2020-21, it is projected that 92 million tons of
