India In 2020 Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "India in 2020" presents a unique set of challenges, as it requires a
delicate balance between historical analysis, current events, and the projection of future trends.
This particular timeframe involves capturing the essence of a nation during a pivotal year,
encapsulating its multifaceted dimensions.
One immediate challenge lies in the vastness and diversity of India itself. Attempting to
encapsulate the myriad aspects of its culture, economy, politics, and societal dynamics within the
confines of an essay demands a judicious selection of themes and a keen understanding of their
interconnectedness. Juggling between the historical context, recent developments, and potential
trajectories requires a comprehensive knowledge base and analytical prowess.
Furthermore, the dynamic nature of India's socio-political landscape makes it challenging to
provide a static portrayal. The essay must be a nuanced exploration of the changes that occurred
in 2020 while acknowledging the inherent uncertainties and complexities that shape the nation's
future. Striking the right balance between optimism and realism is a tightrope walk, demanding
a thorough understanding of the subject matter.
Additionally, the essay on "India in 2020" requires meticulous research to stay abreast of the
latest developments and to avoid outdated information. It necessitates access to a diverse range
of sources, including academic journals, news articles, and expert opinions. The writer must
critically assess these sources, ensuring the credibility and relevance of the information
incorporated into the essay.
Moreover, the essay must be tailored to its intended audience, whether it be a general readership
or a scholarly audience. This necessitates the writer to fine-tune their language, tone, and
approach to effectively communicate the complexity of India's situation in 2020 without
overwhelming or oversimplifying.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "India in 2020" demands a multifaceted skill set, including
research proficiency, analytical acumen, and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. It is
not a task for the faint of heart, as it involves navigating the intricate tapestry of a nation at a
pivotal moment in its history.

Correlation between Violent Video Game Playing and

In 2005, Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a law into effect for the state of California
that would prohibit anyone under the age of 18 from playing Mature (M) rated
violent video games. If there were any violators of this law, a hefty fine of $1,000
would have been issued. However on July 23rd, 2011, the Supreme Court did not
have enough evidence and revoked this law claiming that it is unconstitutional and
violates the 1st amendment (Mears). Even though video gamemakers scored a huge
victory, the problem still exists. Research confirms that children are spending an
increasing amount of time playing top rated violent video games. On average,
boys are playing 13 hours a night, while girls are playing only 5 hours a night (
Children and Videos ). In comparison, 97% of children between the ages of 12 and
17 reported playing video games, while 2/3 of them played video games that
contained violent content ( Violent ). As the number of children playing video games
continues to increase, the amount of violenceseen in the real world is increasing as
well. The horrific acts of violence (killings, intense violence, strong language, and
sexual context) that are situated in these games are becoming more common in the
real world because children are imitating these fierce actions. Moreover, violent video
games are influencing violence among children by influencing aggressive behavior,
lowering the amount of time spent towards education, and incorporating dangerous
content into these video

Abstract: This article examines measles as a VPD in Australia and reports on
epidemiology, risk factors and current media debate. Information provided contains
evidence from sources such as data retrieved from government documentation for
accurate national figures. Journal articles and media sources used (i.e. the
Conversation and Facebook) provide insight into different views on vaccinationalong
with factual evidence. Research was narrowed down to relevant data that would be
easy for everyone to understand but also be able to portray the right statistics needed
to get the message across. Keywords: measles, vaccination, immunisation,

Statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)(2008) revealed that in
2006, 41% of adults aged 15 74 scored a Level 3 or above in adequate or better
health literacy with one quarter of three million migrants having adequate or
better health literacy This highlights that media platforms that use sophisticated
language may cause individual with poor health literacy to misinterpret
information and form a misconception on vaccination. Media platforms include
Facebook which have dedicated pages to the vaccine debate such as the Stop the
Australian (Anti) Vaccination Network page which aims to promote and share
information on vaccination. For example, it reminded people to keep up to date
with their vaccination as stated I m glad I read this one. I ll be following up on the
second vaccination as it s probably unlikely I had mine (Brooks, 2017). Facebook
can impact decision making when a majority believes in a certain idea because
people who are doubtful may unconsciously steer towards the same idea as
everyone else, which are not always the best ones. Moreover, online news is a
source for current discussions on vaccination. For example, a debate that was about
vaccine hesitancy in parents whom are unsure of vaccines and are not getting the
answers to their concerns. It suggested that the no jab, no pay policy is not a way to

Plot Summary Of The Movie The Castle
Introduction: The Castle, directed by Robert Sitch and produced in 1997, is
arguably one of the greatest Australian movies ever created. It is a peculiar, boorish
and above all, humorous film, that is loved by most Australians. With great use of
trademark Aussie humour, amateur camera work and Australian stereotyping, the
movie can be very relatable to Australian viewers, typically those of the blue collar
working class level. Even with light hearted humour that could be taken offensively,
and seen as a dig at Australian culture, in my opinion, the Castle portrays the typical
Australian working class family and has an underlying message of being resilient
and never giving up! Plot Summary: Set in Melbourne, The Castle is a movie... Show

Typical Australian traits of standing up for your rights, no matter how rich or poor
you are and never giving up are used to represent common Australian ideologies
and values, which most Australians can relate to. His home is his Castle that he is
proud of and has worked hard for and won t give up. Acting and Characterisations:
Darryl Kerrigan (Michael Caton), the actor who plays the role of the father in the
Kerrigan family fantastically, contributing to the high degree the film s success. His
role incorporates the appearance, behaviors, and traits, that most Aussies can relate
to. Darryl is the illustrious face of the Kerrigan family in the movie, possessing the
usual Australian attributes of being devoted, diligent and very family orientated.
M.C s character is acted out greatly, enabling the worldwide audience to relate to the
obstacles the family faces and the battling journey they endure to keep their Castle.
Darryl shows courage and bravery that is the basis of the morals, most Australians

this movie, different filmic techniques are used, however, in my opinion, they are not
very effective and thus it fails to improve or contribute to the success of the movie,
which I believe it should. The filming techniques used in
Clarification In Nursing Essay
When developing the process of clarification of values should take into account not
only the aforementioned aspects. Material, spiritual and moral values are also of
great importance. The materials obviously have to do with our basic needs as
human beings and are important as far as they are needed. They are inevitably the
result of the relationship between personal, family and socio cultural values so
when they are given too much importance they contradict the spiritual. The latter
refer to the importance we give to the non material aspects of our lives and are
equally part of our human needs. Finally, moral values are defined as the behavior
that a given society considers indispensable for coexistence, order and the general
good. Taking into account the above, we could define the main objectives of the
model when applying it with individuals or family groups. Firstly, they try to resolve
personal or family conflicts regarding values, as well as facilitating the clarification of
the content of the same. In the same way, the model contributes to the creation of
criteria for determining their values, thus helping people to build their moral identity.
For this, the interviewer must ask questions that guide clarification, specify questions

The application of this model unquestionably elevates self concept and self esteem,

Executive Branch Essay
The comparison of a state with great plains and a state with mighty mountains seems
unimaginable but very possible, at least on governmental standpoint. The great state
of Illinois and one of the original state, North Carolina, have set up a state
government very similar to the federal government and similar to each other. Their
comparisons and contrasts are most noticeable in the legislative and executive
branches.
There are three main parts of an executive branch; The president, the vice president,
and the cabinet. The president is the head of the U.S. executive branch, but in state
executive branches the governor is the head honcho. Every State in America has a

legislative branch typically is a bicameral system. The only exception to this is the
state of Nebraska which only has a senate and not a house of representatives. The
legislative power of the state of Illinois is vested in the General Assembly, which is
composed of a 59 member Senate and a 118 member House of Representatives. North
Carolina s Senate has 50 members and their House of Representatives has 120
members. After those blaring differences Illinois and North Carolina s Legislature
branches are quite similar. Their regular activities are enacting, amending or repealing
laws, passing resolutions, adopting appropriation bills and conducting inquiries on
proposed legislation. Both states legislation acts on amendments to the U.S.
Constitution when they are submitted by Congress, and proposes and submits
amendments to the Illinois Constitution for consideration by voter. During the
scenario of an impeachment, both states House of Representatives has the sole power
of impeachment, while the Senate serves as adjudicator. If a majority of the members
of the House vote to impeach, the case proceeds to the Senate for trial. The Senate
cannot impose any punishment on an impeached and convicted office holder other
than removal from office. These two states show multiple similarities in the
legislative branch and very few differences.
As anyone can tell the two great states of Illinois and North Carolina have many
similarities and differences in their legislative and executive branches of state
government. Overall, one thing is sure these two states contribute the magnificents of
the greatest nation on earth; The United States of

Problems Within Education Today s Education Essay
Problems Within Education Today
For my extra credit assignment I would like to research, and write about the
problems in education today. According to chapter eight in the book, worldwide one
in five adults can not read or write, two thirds of them being women. The problems
we are facing in education can be linked to other social problems such as poverty or
unemployment, seeing that those who graduate college make up twenty percent of
the unemployment rate, compared to the forty percent of the unemployment rate in
people with less than a high school degree. Another issue facing education is the
inequality of schools and school districts. School districts with a lower
socioeconomic status must spend more money on things like maintaining the school.
Thus, leaving less money to spend on bettering the education of the children, which
in turn leads to higher rates of drop outs, and lower rates of college attendance.
Therefore, leaving them more likely to be unemployed or live in poverty. Finally,
another major problem facing the American education system is the lack of financial
support. One survey revealed that the most common thing to happen due to budget
cuts is to increase the class size, which has been directly correlated with poorer
academic achievement. The problems facing education are plentiful, most of which
are grounded in financial woes. These effects can be devastating to the lives of the
children it affects or society as a whole, due to the statistics correlating

Bisphenol A is the famous chemical used in plastic food and beverage containers,
composites and sealants in dentistry, and lacquers in lining of aluminum food and
beverage cans. The toxification process of BPA commences with the migration of
BPA from the plastic, composites, and other storage containers to its outside
environment. It occurs when BPA is heated or exposed to acidic or alkali solutions
which cause polymer degradation of BPA. However, according to the Endocrine
Society s Second Scientific Statement on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, BPA may
leach into food or water through physical manipulation, or repetitive use. Studies have
demonstrated that BPA can cause major health effects when consumed, especially in
high doses.
Like most other chemicals consumed daily, BPA poses great consequences if
consumed in high doses. However, renown geneticist Patricia Hunt depicts that
even the consumption of low doses of BPA is equally alarming. To explain, just at
a low dose, BPA has the capacity to alter hormone balance. BPA s close affinity with
estrogen poses significant risk to our mental and emotional well being. Most
importantly, estrogen plays an important role in basic necessities such as bone
growth, ovulation, and heart functions. (7) Elevated estrogen levels increase a

Interpretation Of The Brief. Graded Unit Requires Two
Solos
INTERPRETATION OF THE BRIEF
Graded unit requires two solos of contrasting styles lasting 2 3 minutes. Both must be
relevant to the current dance industry and must be challenging. The solos must
challenge the dancers technique as well as their performance ability. These dances
both must be influenced by a dance practitioner, although no choreographic work
may be directly copied. Solo work is very important for a dancer in the current age
because often choreographers prefer to work with smaller groups of dancers,
meaning the dancer must be comfortable dancing alone. It is also very important for
dancers to be versatile today, and must be able to perform contrasting styles of
choreography with ease.

Sometimes, this choreography can also be deemed to be particularly vulgar.
Contemporary dance was developed from ballet, hence the strong technique and link
between the two genres of dance. Contemporary also has influences of jazz and
modern dance. Contemporary began in the 1900s, with many practitioners coming
from a strong ballet background. During this time, ballet was the main style of
dance, but Isadora Duncan believed that dance should be natural. She believed dance
was a sacred art and showed this in her work. She did not believe in structured ballet
classes like most others at the time, often teaching any choreography that she thought
up at the time. Isadora Duncan was the real pioneer of contemporary dance, making
it easier for others like Merce Cunningham and Martha Graham to follow in her
footsteps. Both Cunningham and Graham have their own contemporary schools of
technique, meaning both play a large part in the history of contemporary dance.
Some key practitioners of contemporary dance in the present day would be Richard
Alston, Phoenix Dance Theatre, or Rambert. Commercial dance evolved from the hip
hop movement with its origins in the streets with many believing true hip hop dance
could only be performed in the streets. Eventually in the late 1980s/early 1990s hip
hop became more commercialized, with music videos featuring commercial dance all
over the television. Many would say that

But at a critical level of analysis, it can be said that there have been many
distributional ‎impacts which means that competition levels in the market rose
and businesses experienced more ‎rivalry. As the years have passed since the
1940s, the pressure of migration has increased and the ‎impact of immigration on
the UK local communities have also been obvious especially at a time ‎of rapid
change that Britain is going through continually from time to time. This is why
countries ‎need to maintain the laws and policies for migration and control the
negative effects (Ham, 2010, ‎p. 152).‎
Migration has taken place in a number of countries which had opportunities in the
labour ‎market. However, due to this migration, the prominent labour markets
such as that of the UK ‎have been overcrowded which has resulted in the
reduction of wages. The impact of immigration ‎on the labour market is rather a
challenging task which is dependent on a number of factors. ‎Some of the
important factors are the characteristics of the migrants including skill level, family
‎composition, age distribution, health status, temporary or permanent
immigration, and fertility ‎patterns. From these characteristics, the skill level is
one of the main factors which determine the ‎impact on the labour markets.
Immigrants that are highly skilled tend to work in highly paid jobs ‎and thus

Ignorance And Happiness In Fahrenheit 451 And
Pleasantville
The world we have, where we live, comprises a vast amount of knowledge.
Knowledge refers to awareness or familiarity, obtained through learning,
discoveries, or education. When you born, your brain is a blank sheet of paper. As
you develop, your mind becomes conscious of facts and fills the clear piece of paper.
The writing on the paper is precious; thus the knowledgeis invaluable. Everyone
knows knowledge is precious, but have you ever thought: can knowledge make
people unhappy, distracted or suspicious? Ignorance is bliss plays a crucial character,
contemplating the above question. Ignorance is happiness; a phrase that is strongly
interpreted in the book Giver and the supporting films: Fahrenheit 451and
Pleasantville.
Ignorance is bliss is well explained in the book Giver due to the subsequent
explanations. The book Giver illustrates that everybody in the society is peaceful,
except Jonas and the Giver. The reason Jonas and Giver are depressed is that they
are mindful of all the unpleasant memories that have been given on for years. An
additional example that supports the phrase Unawareness is pleasure, is, when
Jonas s father goes for the releasing of a child, Jonas uncovers that releasing is
death. Before Jonas realized that releasing is death, he agreed on the concept of
releasing, but as he determines that releasing means death, that instant he says he
killed him, my father killed him, showing a shock, and sadness. The statement,
Illiteracy is happiness is correct because the examples illustrate that everyone in the
community is fortunate because they are innocent of everything, even colors. They
don t even know what is outside the town, so they claim it elsewhere. If people wish
to live a pleasant life, they should not be informed of everything
The movie Fahrenheit 451 provides a highly circumstantial evidence, for the phrase
Ignorance is bliss. The famous quote from the film Fahrenheit 451; If you do not
wish a house to set up, hide the nails and woods, meaning no one can build a house
without nails and woods. How does this quote justify Ignorance is bliss? The quote
states that if societies do not require people to have the intelligence, then all the
wisdom bearing materials
Hate Speech Hate Monuments
America has always housed a preference for the negative freedoms and liberties.
There s a proclivity for the government to be free of restraints and intrusion from their
pockets, property and personal life. Our first amendment is what grants and protects
our rights to free speech, expression and press. But what are the limits on the first
amendments? How far does it protect hate speech, hate monuments? Not to my
surprise, the United Statessince the civil war the
United States has allowed the people to honor and commemorate Confederate
generals across the nation. With the heavy aggrandizement of the Confederacy, you
would think that they won the Civil War on an honorable cause instead of the
Union. In no way is there an expectation for America to conduct everything in a
perfect manner and be an all around great nation, America has a very flawed history
like every other nation. Germany, for example, does not allow any circulation Nazi
or Neo Nazi paraphernalia because Nazism is not something that needs to be
commemorated or celebrated. The Nazism that took place in Germany mirrors the
Confederacy in America; these moments in time, symbols and martyrs for racism,
terrorism and hate are not aspects of history that should be glorified. With this, all
Confederate monuments and more importantly monuments, needed to be stripped
from the normal discourse of our culture so that we can begin to take progressive
strides towards a more tolerant country. As the Gainesville Mayor

Main Aspects of Pest Analysis
In analyzing the macro environment, it is important to identify the factors that might
in turn affect a number of vital variables that are likely to influence the organization s
supply and demand levels and its costs (Kotter and Schlesinger, 1991; Johnson and
Scholes, 1993). The radical and ongoing changes occurring in society create an
uncertain environment and have an impact on the function of the whole organization
(Tsiakkiros, 2002). A number of checklists have been developed as ways of
cataloguing the vast number of possible issues that might affect an industry. A PEST

The rate of interest charged for loans will be affected by inflation and by
international economics and, although the determining rate may be fixed by a
central bank, as it is the case with the Bank of England, that will also be influenced
by stated government priorities. According to Thompson (2002), government
spending can increase the money supply and make capital markets more buoyant .
The expectations of shareholders with regard to company performance, their
willingness to provide more equity funding or their willingness to sell their shares
will also be affected. The labour market reflects the availability of particular skills at
national and regional levels; this is affected by training, which is influenced by
government and other regional agencies. Labour costs will be influenced by inflation
and by general trends in other industries, and by the role ad power of trade unions.
The sociocultural environment encapsulates demand and tastes, which vary with
fashion and disposable income, and general changes can again provide both
opportunities and threats for particular companies (Thompson, 2002; Pearce and
Robinson, 2005). Over time most products change from being a novelty to a situation
of market saturation, and as this happens pricing and promotion strategies have to
change. Similarly, some products and services will sell around the world with little

Understanding A Problem And Defining The Real Problem
Understanding a problem and defining the real problem is a skill that can be applied
to many facets of life. In the workplace it is common place to have management not
understand their employees and in turn create a negative work environment. For
example, a labor crew may have years of combined experience, but it is
understandable that an inexperienced educated person might be placed in a
managementrole above the laborers. Without truly understandingthe environmentthe
laborers deal with, the inexperienced manager might see labor practices that are not
fully understood and find fault with those practices despite the years of experience
that went into the particular practice. (Modic, 1988) presents five tenets management
can use to better manage people. The relationship between management and
employee was studied to determine these five tenets and how they can resolve the
root of work evil.
The first tenet of people management according to (Modic, 1988) is, Focus on
performance, not personality. Modic goes on to explain, This provides a dialog that
can address performance improvement. (p. 1). The second tenet ties into the first
tenet of focusing on performance by providing a way to measure the performance.
Modic says, Provide a base line against which to measure later results, a key element
in the change process. (p. 1). The first two tenets are being used to focus on a
measureable component of an employee s performance rather than intangibles such
as personality. By

correctly? For many years people have used flame resistant material. Fires around the
world are a constant threat to human life and property. There is a big difference
between flame resistant and flame retardant materials. There are both advantages and
disadvantages with using flame resistant materials. Controversy exists on whether
flame resistant material is safe for human use. When choosing flame resistant

Napanee Beer s keg beer at sports stadiums.
However, the production department had not been notified of the marketing

It also had to brew some of the lower priced keg beer in vats that would have been

As the trainers predicted, the team s actions would almost always result in
unexpected consequences. Explain how this simulation relates to the open systems
perspective of organizational behaviour. The production simulation teaches teams that
organizations are complex systems with many interdependent parts. As such, complex
systems tend to produce unintended consequences when one part of the system is
altered. The lesson here is to recognize the repercussions of subsystem actions on
other parts of the organization.

WindTunnel Ltd, a manufacturer of commercial vacuum cleaner systems, has heard
about new computer based technologies that help vacuum cleaner systems to work
more efficiently and provide additional features to users. So far, only one British
vacuum cleaner company has apparently moved to integrate this technology into its
products, but more firms will soon follow. Senior executives at
WindTunnel are also aware of a small engineering firm that has applied similar
computer technology to military suction like products. No one at WindTunnel has
much experience or knowledge with this computer technology, yet the company
needs such expertise quickly. Explain which knowledge acquisition strategy would
best help WindTunnel to gain the necessary intellectual capital.
Students should begin by defining knowledge acquisition as the
Financial Markets
A.In finance, the financial system is the system that allows the transfer of money
between savers (and investors) and borrowers.[1] A financial system can operate on a
global, regional or firm specific level. Gurusamy, writing in Financial Services and
Systems has described it as comprising a set of complex and closely interconnected
financial institutions, markets, instruments, services, practices, and transactions.

With primary issuances of securities or financial instruments, or the primary market,
investors purchase these securities directly from issuers such as corporationsissuing
shares in an IPO or private placement, or directly from the federal government in the
case of treasuries. After the initial issuance, investors can purchase from other
investors in the secondary market.
The secondary market for a variety of assets can vary from loans to stocks, from
fragmented to centralized, and from illiquid to very liquid. The major stock
exchanges are the most visible example of liquid secondary markets in this case, for
stocks of publicly traded companies. Exchanges such as the New York Stock
Exchange, London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq provide a centralized, liquid
secondary market for the investors who own stocks that trade on those exchanges.
Most bonds and structured products trade over the counter, or by phoning the bond
desk of one s broker dealer. Loans sometimes trade online using a Loan Exchange.

In the secondary market, securities are sold by and transferred from one investor or
speculator to another. It is therefore important that the secondary market be highly

Knowing Your Audience Paper and Communication Release
When you are trying to portray a message, it is important to remember who your
audience is. The way you deliver a message will depend on your audience and if
you are delivering the message informally, formally, personally, or on behalf of a
company. The way you deliver a message after an accident or disaster is important,
as you are people with a fragile situation and fragile people involved. If a company
portrays, through their messages, that the situation is not under control or that they
do not care there will be consequences for that company and anybody affiliated ...

These include, inadequate accident prevention systems, information unadapted to

The representative of the company who will be communicating with the family
members needs to make sure that every family needs would have been met. Financial
assistance would be the number one need, spiritual, and counseling to help them cope
with the accident. The company must keep the families updated with the progression
of the rescue mission. The representative must make sure the information that will be
communicated to the families is current and correct. However, the President,
SebastiГ n PiГ±era took the initiative to use his communication skills to inform and to
keep the miners families, and the community at peace.
In this unfortunate event, the San Esteban Mining Company needed to tread
carefully in how they would communicate to the world about the incident. If the
company does not properly communicate what has happened, it would be viewed as
careless, and heartless to the world, employees, and the families. The San Esteban
Mining Company needed to release information in three ways. First, the families
would have priority concerning communicating to different parties involved in this
incident. The person(s) that will be updating the family s needs to be competent and

Kennedy And The Placebo Effect
This is strong, clear and very persuasive evidence that Kennedy was speaking of an
outcome that had been totally generated by a subject s negative expectation of a drug
or ritual s administration, which was the exact counterpart of a placebo response that
would have been generated by a subject s positive expectation.
Finally, and most definitely, Kennedy was not speaking of an active drug s unwanted
but pharmacologically predictable negative side effects (something for which the
term nocebo is being increasingly used in current literature). For example, verbal
suggestions of pain induced anxiety, which in turn causes the release of
cholecystokinin, which facilitates pain transmission.

One way to think about is thru this interesting quote from Ted Kaptchuk Medicine
comprises two things: the moral care of a patient ... and effective therapy, . You
can t lie to patients. Doctors need to think of clinical interventions designed to
elicit placebo effects without deceptions. This could include research into how a
doctor s touch, gaze or capacity for listening can have positive effects on a patient,
or how stern warnings about drug side effects could actually induce those side
effects in the patient. Or, when a placebo could be ethical in situations when no
cure or relief is otherwise available. For centuries, physicians have debated the
proper role of placebos in patient care. Some have considered placebos completely
harmless, while others have claimed they re damaging tools of charlatans and
quacks. A steady flow of medical advances in the early 20th century relegated the
placebo effect to the backwoods of clinical care. Nevertheless, there are many critics
of using placebos in medical care. In a 2011 article in The Atlantic, in reaction to a
study that was conducted on asthma, retired family physician Harriet Hall said,
Asthma can be fatal. If the patient s lung function is getting worse, but a placebo
makes them feel better, they might delay treatment until it is too late. But critics
argue that placebo effects tend to be small, temporary and inconsistent, and that they
have little proven positive effect on disease outcome, which should be the ultimate
goal. Some scientists conceded that placebo effects are modest in comparison to
lifesaving surgery and powerful medications. But they noted that a placebo can

THESIS: Bigger Thomas represents the black man s condition and his revolt against
the injustices of the white caste society.
When one looks at the contribution of blacks in the world of American literature,
Richard Wright is considered one of the great contributors. Truly one of his books
which highlights the black s view of American society has to be Native Son. In
Native Son, Richard Wright creates the characterization of native sons who are

In Native Son, fear and hate are determining factors in Bigger s life. The root of all of
Bigger s fears is realization of what he, as a black man, has to endure and will
become (Margolies Art 2). Bigger attacks his friends because he thinks that they
can see his fear. By attacking them, he gives himself a false sense of courage

her mother will accuse him of sexually assaulting Mary. He also shows fear by
burning her body so that no one will find it (Smith 392).

Legacy Of Slavery
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness are essential ideals that form the bedrock
of the American identity. Upon our founding decisions were made that cast a shadow
on the sanctity of freedom as it was expressed. Taking this point into consideration
we know that we began our endeavor of democracy on unsure footing. It is my
intention to demonstrate that we have not yet found our feet as a nation and clearly
demonstrated our commitment to the idea that all men are created equal. This serves
as an anchor to our fractured historical founding and continues to define us as a
nation today. Although we have broken the bonds of slaveryas an institution and put
down the physical whip of coercion, the shadow of this disgrace still looms over
our nation and affects our potential for unity of effort to this day. As a nation we
have been defined by our struggle to heal the wounds of slavery and live up to the
statements of our original declaration. We continue to struggle along our lines of
division as a result of this and at times have attempted to ignore their impact on our
nation and move ahead without acknowledging a need to heal.
The Declaration of independence carved out a space for men to create their own
destiny free from oppression, unless they were black. The writers of the founding

With regards to continuous restructuring of the company. This issue is a big factor
that even stimulates the first problem. With the re evaluation of the organizational
structure the employees tend to lose confidence and trust in those in charge and
therefore their performance is hindered because of this. Concerning the hiring skills
of the company it is very inefficient such as recruiting college kids, newspaper
advertisements, employment agencies and job notices on job search websites. These
hiring skills are very costly and time consuming. The high expectations of
management to meet high quotas is unreasonable and thus puts pressure on the
salesmen causing them to perform unethical actions such as posting incorrect sales
figures just to please their managers. Options that can assist the firm in these issues
are by management evaluating the company and making a consistent and permanent
organizational structure. To make the hiring process more efficient it needs to be
shorter in length, be specific in the characteristics of the potential employee to avoid
the many steps and narrow the amount of hiring methods to reduce costs. Not
stretching quotas is another factor that needs to be considered by management. This
can be done through lowering their expectations of sales in the same time frame that
currently exists making them realistic, give incentives if they need to be stretched,
employ feedback from sales persons so as to assign comfortable quotas around each
The Experience Of Missing Someone For S3 s Protocol

Types Of Database For Flat File Database
Types of Database
1.Flat File Database
A flat file database is an excellent way of storing a pretty small amount of records.
Flat file can be a plain text file. Flat file are generally not a structural relationships
between the records. For example a spread sheet application such as Excel can be
used as a flat file database. Each row in a worksheet can be a record and each column
and a field. Flat file database can also be stored in a dedicated database application
such as Access.
Installing database in flat file database has the following advantages:
All record are storing in one place
Easy to set up using a number of standard office applications
Easy to understand
Simple siting of records can be carried out
Record can be viewed or extracted on the basis of criteria
Flat file database has a few disadvantages:
One of the most important ones is the data often repeated many times
There is no referential integrity
Harder to update
Almost no security
Harder to change data format
A flat file database looks something like this:
2.Relational Database
Relational Databases is a structural collection of records in a computer system.
Relational Databases has more than one table and the tables are connected using a
unique identifier for a database record. For example a library database could have
three tables such as customer, books and landing.

pollution. It is estimated that air pollution each day kills three people in the city of
Hong Kong. Air pollution also contributes to soil and water pollution. More than

There is considerable interest in electric and hybrid cars because of environmental
and climate change concerns, tougher fuel efficiency standards, and increasing
dependence on imported oil (Deal). Hybrid and electric cars are a way to reduce
our carbon footprint. Many vehicle manufacturers are beginning to jump into the
hybrid car craze. Some of the most popular hybrid cars are the Toyota Prius, Honda
Insight and Ford Fusion. There is also the electric car that relies solely on
electricity to get from point A to point B. the downside to these cars however is
that they only get about 100 miles before needing to be recharged. Hybrids are
different because they rely on a mixture of two sources, electricity and gasoline.
Hybrids can get further than electric cars because of this reason. Electric and hybrid
cars have a special braking system called regenerative braking. Regenerative braking
causes the car to recharge the battery whenever the car is coasting or completely
stopped. this helps maintain the car s battery life. Charging these batteries can take a
while, some even take more than eight hours!
While the popularity of hybrids and electric vehicles are on the rise, many people still
drive a good old fashioned gasoline car. Whereas driving a normal car will not be as
environmentally friendly as the hybrid of electrics,
Lady With An Ermine Essay
Lady with an Ermine is a painting by Italian Leonardo da Vinci from around 1489
1490. During this time on rebirth for the arts some artist decided to take a more
natural and abstract view on art while others (like da Vinci) still typically followed
the realism route. With that being said his Lady with the Ermine is a very interesting
portrait painting. This beautiful woman is dressed in fine red and green garb the
contours of her clothing is soft and smooth and almost blends into her pale
complexion. Her face is deep and three dimensional, his use of shading and shadow

if it wasn t there then the artwork wouldn t have any meaning since its called Lady

For this artwork there is no middle ground included. The reason is that I don t think
he wanted anything to appear far in the distance, because I think he just wants it to
be a simple portrait without anything appearing in the background to make it more

often where the main action takes place, and in

The turning point during the Pacific War of World War II (WWII) can be attributed
to not just one single event but a gradual turning of the tide in which the strategic

It is the belief that the world is around ten thousand years old. The idea or belief is
far from the findings of science which calculate the age of the earth to be around
five billion years old. The data considered solid by scientists such as the
astronomical measurements on stars, dating of rocks, and the reconstructions of the
history of life on the planet are based on the calculation that the earth is five billion
years old. Almost all of the things that science has researched and discovered are
based on the calculation that the earth is around five billion years old, but scientific
creationism argues against all of the proof and claims that the earth is young.
The age of the earth, in the eyes of scientific creationism, is calculated first by
creating a genealogical table. Starting with Adam, the man considered to be the first
human, the genealogy should be studied until the birth of Christ. This will give you
the approximate age of the earth. However, there is another controversial topic: the
length of the day. Scientific creationism believes that the length of the day in Genesis

might be longer and may not even be confined within the human realm.
The belief that the world is roughly ten thousand years old became widespread mostly

Increasing trend in Non albicans Cutaneous Candidiasis: Implications in treatment
strategies
Introduction:
Cutaneous candidiasis is a secondary infection of the skin (body folds) and nails in
predisposed patients.1 The disease involvement may be localised or generalised to
the skin or nails.2
The clinical manifestations of Candidiasis are of three types: mucocutaneous,
cutaneous, and systemic.3 The spectrum of Cutaneous candidiasis (CC): includes
intertrigo, diaper candidiasis, paronychia, and onychomycosis.4 Infections thrush,
intertrigo, enterogastritis and others have long been known to be due to abnormal
proliferation of Candida cells.5
Candida species other than C.albicans have become a significant cause of infection in
humans.6 Several of these species are less susceptible to commonly used azole
antifungal drugs.6
Hence, the identification of the Candida isolates upto species level along with their
antifungal susceptibility patterns can greatly influence the treatment options for the
clinicians and may have an impact on the patient care.7 Hence this study was done.
Aims and objectives:
1.To isolate Candida species from suspected cases of Cutaneous Candidiasis.
2.To speciate the isolated Candida.
3.To find the antifungal susceptibility for voriconazole and fluconazole among the
isolates.
Materials Methods:
A total of 200 patients presenting with the symptoms of Cutaneous
Problem Oriented Policing Paper
Problem oriented policing is geared toward solving problems. The first step in
problem oriented policing is the identification and selection of a problem. One
method of identifying, analyzing and selecting a problem is known as SARA. The
acronym SARA stands for scanning, analysis, response, and assessment (Cronkhite,
2013). The Center for Problem Oriented Policing has several problem specific guides
for different problems that policeand a community may face. The guides cover a
variety of subjects ranging from burglary to gas drive offs. Each guide discusses the
problem and factors involved and offers suggestions derived from police report and
research of the problem (Center for Problem Oriented Policing, n.d.).
The guide that was examined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
CompStat allows police agencies to examine individual neighborhoods, or police
precincts, and determine what problems need to be solved. CompStat involves the
public by seeing them as the stakeholders (Cronkhite, 2013). The stakeholders, or
public, are then involved in determining what the problems are in their area.
CompStat then holds the commanding officer accountable for what is occurring in
the areas under his command. CompStat also helps decentralize police command
by empowering precinct commanders the freedom to solve the problems. This
leads to new ideas and innovations that was not possible when decisions were
made by a centralized command structure. Park and Barthe (2015) see CompStat as
part of the SARA process being an integral part of identifying problems. CompStat
has made police aware that statistics do have a place in policing and used correctly
can lead to a reduction in crime and client satisfaction. Police officers in departments
using concepts of problem oriented policing were found to be able to solve
problems in their area by giving them the freedom to analyze problems and develop
solutions (Park Bathe,
Persuasive Essay On Litters
Cat lovers know that cats make adorable, low maintenance pets. They do not
demand as much attention as other pets do. They pretty much keep to themselves,
unless they are in the mood to explore or to be a little bit affectionate with you.
They are also basically clean animals. They groom themselves a lot, they mostly
keep away from dirt, and they instinctively keep their own feces out of sight. If they
are outdoor cats, that is.
The litter box is the number one need for indoor cats. Your beloved feline and you,
as owner of the household and the person who has to live with the stench, need a
proper feces disposal system. In other words, you need a litter box. And some litter
training for little kitty.
o How many litter boxes should you have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You have endless options to choose from. There are scoop litters and litters that do
the scooping for you. Some even come with mechanical attachments that will help
you keep it clean. Just make sure it is in the right size for your cat.
o Where should you put the litter box? A cat may avoid using a litter box because
of its location. Litter training a cat will not work if you place the box in a high
traffic area where there is a lot of noise. Defecation is a private affair, even for
kitty. Place the litter box in a clean, quiet and secluded area. Just make sure that it is
easy to reach. If you have more than one cat, you need to put the litter boxes in
separate areas. Remember that cats are also territorial animals.
o What kind of litter should you use? By nature, cats dig in soft soil to bury their
waste. The litter uses soil substitutes, and there are many to choose from. There are
clay type litters, and litters made from plant materials. The thing to consider is that
your cat may actually have a preference and sometimes different preferences for
defecation and urination! On top of that, as the person who must clean the litter box,
you may also have some of your own
Summary Of The Great Bird Poop
In the articles The Great Bird Poop Disaster and How to Solve the Problem of Bird
Poop both by Anna Starecheski. It talks about how there is a huge problem with
birds coating our cities and streets is gooey, slippery piles of white and black poop,
but is there a solution of some of the maney problems caused by this epidemic. In the
article The Great BirdPoop Disaster it talks about how there are a lot of problems
that are caused by bird poop, one is that it has acid in it so it is corrosive. In the
article, it says At the center of a bird dropping is a black substance; that is poop. The
white, gloppy stuff is the urine, which consists mainly of uric acid. Uric acid is
corrosive. That means it can eat away at the surfaces of buildings and bridges. Bird
poop can also ruin everything from the paint on your mom s car to your favorite T
shirt. In the U.S., pigeons cause about $1.1 billion in damages every year.
(Starecheski 18). This shows that this isn t just a little inconveniences, no it s a
big deal that if it is not fixed soon the U.S will be deeper in debt than bird poop. This
is why squinted across the world are trying to find a solution to this problem that
spreads across the world. In the article How to Solve the Problem of Bird Poop It
talks about some of the solutions that we have tried and some that we still use to
try to get some of the birds to leave. In the article, it says Placing spikes on window
ledges, bridges, fences, and other areas where birds
Pros And Cons Of Niccolo Machiavelli
There is one name that is synonyms with diabolical, cunning, scheming and
unscrupulous politics, Machiavelli. Niccolo Machiavelli was a brilliant intellect of
the Italian Renaissance. He was a Diplomat and Soldier contrasted with a historian,
poet, and dramatist, which are reflected in his writing. He was a patriotic person that
wanted secure Italy, especially Florence, against all enemies and he understood that
many decisions need to make that will produce the best results. Born to Florentine
nobility in 1400; His early career was as a conducting diplomatic mission for
Florence to other Italian cities, France, and Germany. As a diplomat and soldiers,
he was privy to may atrocities and actions that had both positive and negative
results depending on the situation and how they were implemented. Niccolo
Machiavelli aimed The Prince to show how to build up a principality capable of
expelling foreign interest and restoring the independence of Italy. It was a vivid
portrayal of politics in that day and age. It was originally released in 1513 but was
not widely published and distributed until 1532, five years after Niccolo
Machiavelli death. It has both been praised and criticized at various points in
history on the pros and cons of this thesis of political tactics. William Shakespeare
even used Machiavel to emphasize in Henry VI, how evil GLOUCESTER was:
I can add colors to the chameleon, Change spaces with Proteus for advantages, And
set the murderous Machiavel to school
Many counter views have been published over the years. One of the most
comprehensive was the Anti Machiavelli. An 18th century essay by Frederick the
Great, King of Prussia and patron of Voltaire, stated: Machiavel s advice if
followed uncritically be a prince, may lead to real tragedies in the real world .
Richard Christie and Florence L Geis even developed and named a psychological
test to reflect an aspect of a person s character, the Machiavelli test ( MACH IV:
Machiavellianism Test ). This is to test for one of the Dark Triad Personality , the
others being narcissism and psychopathy. The Oxford English Dictionary described
Machiavellian as duplicitous interpersonal style, a cynical disregard for morality, and

Organizational Data And Management System Essay
Abstract
Organizational data is increasingly prevalent due to the ease of collecting data from
several sources. Because so much data is now available and gathered, organizations
must set a data management system to clean then consolidate the data to give users
clear insight into the organization s behavior. To implement such a system requires
the collaboration of both the business manager and the business s IT organization.
The IT organization must have a clear understanding of the data standards and data
model that the manager requests to correctly implement it. Furthermore, the IT
organization must determine how the system should be designed to match the data
needs of the organization. Alongside the IT team, the business manager must address
several issues concerning the system, including how the data should be organized,
collected, and distributed. The business manager is also responsible for ensuring the
quality of the data gathered and how to address any technical issues that arise, as
well as oversee the support for any transitions to updated software, so that data is not
lost. Keywords: data management, data model, data management design, database

leather good market is expected to grow between 2012 and 2016.The chart below
shows the estimated growth and decline of the market between 2007 and 2016.
Market sector Clothing accessories are generally used for functional use. However
many items are purchased for fashion and style purposes. This fact, according to
Keynote Clothing Retailing Market report (2013), has brought a great development in
the sector. The value of accessories sector touched ВЈ2.86bn in 2012. Furthermore,
the important increase of the sector that has been evident in 2010 at 26.1% is
believed to be a result of the consumers buying items in this sector as low priced
treats. With consumers remaining cautious with regard to spending after the
recession, this sector provided consumers with opportunities to treat themselves with
generally cheap items; rather than buying new garments, accessories could be bought
to bring an existing outfit up to date. Fashion trends have also started to focus on
accessories much more than has previously been seen, with more items bought for
fashion purposes rather than functionality. (Keynote, 2013) Opportunities According
to Keynote, androgyny is becoming a key fashion trend and the rise of the male
handbag is generating an extensive consumer base for the handbags sector and brands
can build new collections for this sector. Along with development of new technology
products, like smarphones
Keep Blaming Canada Essay
Keep Blaming Canada
In 1999, Shawn Fanning and his little program called Napster created quite a stir in
society. Napster s software allows music listeners to open pieces of their personal
hard drives to everyone using Napster, sharing whatever MP3 songs they have
already downloaded or stored. At any time, thousands of people are online, sharing
hundreds of thousands of songs, many of which are technically illegal to download
without the permission of the copyright holders. [1] This led to a lawsuit filed by the
Recording Industry Association of America, with the rock group Metallica as its
frontman. In this case, several issues were brought up, one of which was the right of
the creator of the music to control what happens with ... Show more content on

This is the permission of people to make private copies of music for themselves.
But realizing that people would make copies for friends and family, the government
decided to try and compensate the artists. They added in a provision for the
imposition of a levy on blank audio recording media. The money from this tax would
go to the artists and authors of the music.
But with the effects of Napster and pressures from recording artists and other
organizations being felt, Canada had to address the issue of peer to peer transfers
of electronically stored music. On December 12, 2003, the Copyright Board of
Canada decided that peer to peer uploading was illegal, but downloading would
remain legal. The peer to peer component of the decision was prompted by
questions from consumer and entertainment groups about ambiguous elements of
Canadian law. Previously, most analysts had said uploading was illegal but that
downloading for personal use might be allowed. As far as computer hard drives are
concerned, we say that for the time being, it is still legal, said Claude Majeau,
secretary general of the Copyright Board. [3] The boards decision was based on the
interpretation of the fact that the country s copyright law does allow making a copy
for personal use, but does not address the source of that copy or whether the
Fractal Time
FRACTAL TIME (ESSAY) Introduction In his book, first published in 2009,
Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age , Gregg Braden gave
wonderful clues into what we would expect to occur in our world and universe by
the year 2012. Though years have passed since the first publication of the book,
the information in the book remains relevant to us today. Gregg labours to
elaborate how it is possible to read the past in order to discover what the future
holds for us in our world and universe, and amazingly, even in our personal lives
and relationships. This paper is written in order to analyse the Fractal Time book to
find out what practical lessons we can pick from it. Personal views on how to apply
the concepts presented in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He begins by stating that even if the conditions of the past can keep on repeating,
the events do not have to repeat, except we choose. He makes it clear that we have
a choice to make, either to take a step for better or for worse. He solidifies this
point by providing us with important discoveries, like the Quantum Energy theory,
the power of positive emotions and our Heart s Magnetic field influence on our
environment all of which depend on the power of our choice. Gregg clarifies that a
growing number of scientists have arrived at an inescapable conclusion that there
s a place called The Realm of Quantum Energy. These scientists have concluded that
it is at this place where all things begin, and where all things are possible and the
kind of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs we choose to have at this point is
what will influence the results of our circumstances regardless of the conditions
we may be faced with. In this place it is believed, the atoms of matter are
influenced by thought, feeling, emotion, and belief to become the reality of our
world. This quantum energy place is created at the start of every cycle. Lessons
Realized from the Book I have deduced quite a number of lessons from the book,
nevertheless I will choose to talk about what I think are the most important ones to
me. Firstly, I have learnt that it is vital to reflect on our past, because in it we find the
evident cycles of the future which
Chinese Exclusion Act Dbq
According to the documents, describing the cruel actions of wicked men who
intended nothing but hate towards the Chinese and racist comments that targeted
specifically the Chinese depicts the idea that the Chinese Exclusion Act should have
not been implemented in the United States in the year of 1882. The Chinese were
strongly discriminated just like the African American people. To start on with
(Document A) about a play divided in four parts called The Chinese Must Go by
Henry Grimm in 1879, shows of the stereotypes about the Chinese. This document is
nothing else but mimicking or impersonating how the Chinese tend to speak English
in America. Their English maybe be taken as broken English, another way to
describe someone s struggle to speak
Food Web And Its Effects On The Environment
There are three major intertidal zones including Upper Mid littoral Zone, Lower
Mid littoral Zone, and the Lower Littoral Zone. These zones allow for different
organisms to survive in their preferred tide levels. For example, the upper zone
includes organisms that survive in a niche with high tide; where as the lower zone
contains organisms with niches in low tidal zones. Within the ecology of intertidal
ecosystems lies a food web varying from humans and to microscopic plants such as
phytoplankton. Every level of this food web is both directly and indirectly affected
by climate change leading to other factors also contributing to the condition of
intertidal zones and the organisms within. The temperature of seawater has been on a
slow but steady increase over the years, affecting the organisms below the sea level.
This then directly affects the organisms above sea level, being either humans or birds.
While humans remain in terrestrial environments and the large majority of the rest of
the food web lies in aquatic environments, birds are able to act as the link between the
two environments. When looking at intertidal species it has been found that mid to
high intertidal species, such as crabs, sea stars, anemones, are more susceptible and
defenseless to the change in climate than species with a lower intolerance to heat. The
warming of the intertidal zones effects not only survival but also reproduction.
Phytoplankton has been caused to reproduce sooner than expected
The Power Of Patronage Or The Spoils System
In the nineteenth century the United States government was corrupt with politicians
promising special favors and positions to those persons that helped them to get
elected. Most of the US Presidents of this time wanted to protect this system of
patronage because without it, most of them would not have been elected. Patronage,
or The Spoils System, is the system in which government positions are handed out to
supporters that helped the candidate get elected. According to the Oxford Dictionary
of English, Patronage is the power to control appointments to office or the right to
privileges. Most of the Presidents that were elected in the late 1800s should not have
been elected because they didn t win the popular vote. Instead, they were put

  • 2. Correlation between Violent Video Game Playing and Violent... In 2005, Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a law into effect for the state of California that would prohibit anyone under the age of 18 from playing Mature (M) rated violent video games. If there were any violators of this law, a hefty fine of $1,000 would have been issued. However on July 23rd, 2011, the Supreme Court did not have enough evidence and revoked this law claiming that it is unconstitutional and violates the 1st amendment (Mears). Even though video gamemakers scored a huge victory, the problem still exists. Research confirms that children are spending an increasing amount of time playing top rated violent video games. On average, boys are playing 13 hours a night, while girls are playing only 5 hours a night ( Children and Videos ). In comparison, 97% of children between the ages of 12 and 17 reported playing video games, while 2/3 of them played video games that contained violent content ( Violent ). As the number of children playing video games continues to increase, the amount of violenceseen in the real world is increasing as well. The horrific acts of violence (killings, intense violence, strong language, and sexual context) that are situated in these games are becoming more common in the real world because children are imitating these fierce actions. Moreover, violent video games are influencing violence among children by influencing aggressive behavior, lowering the amount of time spent towards education, and incorporating dangerous content into these video

It is a peculiar, boorish and above all, humorous film, that is loved by most Australians. With great use of trademark Aussie humour, amateur camera work and Australian stereotyping, the movie can be very relatable to Australian viewers, typically those of the blue collar working class level. Even with light hearted humour that could be taken offensively, and seen as a dig at Australian culture, in my opinion, the Castle portrays the typical Australian working class family and has an underlying message of being resilient and never giving up! • 5. Clarification In Nursing Essay When developing the process of clarification of values should take into account not only the aforementioned aspects. Material, spiritual and moral values are also of great importance. The materials obviously have to do with our basic needs as human beings and are important as far as they are needed. They are inevitably the result of the relationship between personal, family and socio cultural values so when they are given too much importance they contradict the spiritual. The latter refer to the importance we give to the non material aspects of our lives and are equally part of our human needs. Finally, moral values are defined as the behavior that a given society considers indispensable for coexistence, order and the general good. According to chapter eight in the book, worldwide one in five adults can not read or write, two thirds of them being women. The problems we are facing in education can be linked to other social problems such as poverty or unemployment, seeing that those who graduate college make up twenty percent of the unemployment rate, compared to the forty percent of the unemployment rate in people with less than a high school degree. Another issue facing education is the inequality of schools and school districts. School districts with a lower socioeconomic status must spend more money on things like maintaining the school. Thus, leaving less money to spend on bettering the education of the children, which in turn leads to higher rates of drop outs, and lower rates of college attendance. Therefore, leaving them more likely to be unemployed or live in poverty. Finally, another major problem facing the American education system is the lack of financial support. One survey revealed that the most common thing to happen due to budget cuts is to increase the class size, which has been directly correlated with poorer academic achievement. The problems facing education are plentiful, most of which are grounded in financial woes. These dances both must be influenced by a dance practitioner, although no choreographic work may be directly copied. During this time, ballet was the main style of dance, but Isadora Duncan believed that dance should be natural. She believed dance was a sacred art and showed this in her work. She did not believe in structured ballet classes like most others at the time, often teaching any choreography that she thought up at the time. Isadora Duncan was the real pioneer of contemporary dance, making it easier for others like Merce Cunningham and Martha Graham to follow in her footsteps. Both Cunningham and Graham have their own contemporary schools of technique, meaning both play a large part in the history of contemporary dance. Some key practitioners of contemporary dance in the present day would be Richard Alston, Phoenix Dance Theatre, or Rambert. Commercial dance evolved from the hip hop movement with its origins in the streets with many believing true hip hop dance could only be performed in the streets. Eventually in the late 1980s/early 1990s hip hop became more commercialized, with music videos featuring commercial dance all over the television. Many would say that

  • 14. Ignorance And Happiness In Fahrenheit 451 And Pleasantville The world we have, where we live, comprises a vast amount of knowledge. Knowledge refers to awareness or familiarity, obtained through learning, discoveries, or education. When you born, your brain is a blank sheet of paper. As you develop, your mind becomes conscious of facts and fills the clear piece of paper. The writing on the paper is precious; thus the knowledgeis invaluable. Everyone knows knowledge is precious, but have you ever thought: can knowledge make people unhappy, distracted or suspicious? Ignorance is bliss plays a crucial character, contemplating the above question. Ignorance is happiness; a phrase that is strongly interpreted in the book Giver and the supporting films: Fahrenheit 451and Pleasantville. Ignorance is bliss is well explained in the book Giver due to the subsequent explanations. The book Giver illustrates that everybody in the society is peaceful, except Jonas and the Giver. The reason Jonas and Giver are depressed is that they are mindful of all the unpleasant memories that have been given on for years. An additional example that supports the phrase Unawareness is pleasure, is, when Jonas s father goes for the releasing of a child, Jonas uncovers that releasing is death. Before Jonas realized that releasing is death, he agreed on the concept of releasing, but as he determines that releasing means death, that instant he says he killed him, my father killed him, showing a shock, and sadness. The statement, Illiteracy is happiness is correct because the examples illustrate that everyone in the community is fortunate because they are innocent of everything, even colors. They don t even know what is outside the town, so they claim it elsewhere. If people wish to live a pleasant life, they should not be informed of everything The movie Fahrenheit 451 provides a highly circumstantial evidence, for the phrase Ignorance is bliss. The famous quote from the film Fahrenheit 451; If you do not wish a house to set up, hide the nails and woods, meaning no one can build a house without nails and woods. How does this quote justify Ignorance is bliss? The quote states that if societies do not require people to have the intelligence, then all the wisdom bearing materials

Not to my surprise, the United Statessince the civil war the United States has allowed the people to honor and commemorate Confederate generals across the nation. With the heavy aggrandizement of the Confederacy, you would think that they won the Civil War on an honorable cause instead of the Union. The relationship between management and employee was studied to determine these five tenets and how they can resolve the root of work evil. The first tenet of people management according to (Modic, 1988) is, Focus on performance, not personality. Modic goes on to explain, This provides a dialog that can address performance improvement. (p. 1). The second tenet ties into the first tenet of focusing on performance by providing a way to measure the performance. Modic says, Provide a base line against which to measure later results, a key element in the change process. (p. 1). The first two tenets are being used to focus on a measureable component of an employee s performance rather than intangibles such as personality. By

Finally, and most definitely, Kennedy was not speaking of an active drug s unwanted but pharmacologically predictable negative side effects (something for which the term nocebo is being increasingly used in current literature). For example, verbal suggestions of pain induced anxiety, which in turn causes the release of cholecystokinin, which facilitates pain transmission. This could include research into how a doctor s touch, gaze or capacity for listening can have positive effects on a patient, or how stern warnings about drug side effects could actually induce those side effects in the patient. Or, when a placebo could be ethical in situations when no cure or relief is otherwise available. For centuries, physicians have debated the proper role of placebos in patient care. Some have considered placebos completely harmless, while others have claimed they re damaging tools of charlatans and quacks. A steady flow of medical advances in the early 20th century relegated the placebo effect to the backwoods of clinical care. Nevertheless, there are many critics of using placebos in medical care. If the patient s lung function is getting worse, but a placebo makes them feel better, they might delay treatment until it is too late. But critics argue that placebo effects tend to be small, temporary and inconsistent, and that they have little proven positive effect on disease outcome, which should be the ultimate goal. Because so much data is now available and gathered, organizations must set a data management system to clean then consolidate the data to give users clear insight into the organization s behavior. To implement such a system requires the collaboration of both the business manager and the business s IT organization. The IT organization must have a clear understanding of the data standards and data model that the manager requests to correctly implement it. Furthermore, the IT organization must determine how the system should be designed to match the data needs of the organization. Alongside the IT team, the business manager must address several issues concerning the system, including how the data should be organized, collected, and distributed. The business manager is also responsible for ensuring the quality of the data gathered and how to address any technical issues that arise, as well as oversee the support for any transitions to updated software, so that data is not lost. • 46. Keep Blaming Canada Essay Keep Blaming Canada In 1999, Shawn Fanning and his little program called Napster created quite a stir in society. Napster s software allows music listeners to open pieces of their personal hard drives to everyone using Napster, sharing whatever MP3 songs they have already downloaded or stored. At any time, thousands of people are online, sharing hundreds of thousands of songs, many of which are technically illegal to download without the permission of the copyright holders. [1] This led to a lawsuit filed by the Recording Industry Association of America, with the rock group Metallica as its frontman. In this case, several issues were brought up, one of which was the right of the creator of the music to control what happens with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is the permission of people to make private copies of music for themselves. But realizing that people would make copies for friends and family, the government decided to try and compensate the artists. They added in a provision for the imposition of a levy on blank audio recording media. The money from this tax would go to the artists and authors of the music. But with the effects of Napster and pressures from recording artists and other organizations being felt, Canada had to address the issue of peer to peer transfers of electronically stored music. On December 12, 2003, the Copyright Board of Canada decided that peer to peer uploading was illegal, but downloading would remain legal. The peer to peer component of the decision was prompted by questions from consumer and entertainment groups about ambiguous elements of Canadian law. Previously, most analysts had said uploading was illegal but that downloading for personal use might be allowed. As far as computer hard drives are concerned, we say that for the time being, it is still legal, said Claude Majeau, secretary general of the Copyright Board. [3] The boards decision was based on the interpretation of the fact that the country s copyright law does allow making a copy for personal use, but does not address the source of that copy or whether the

Fractal Time FRACTAL TIME (ESSAY) Introduction In his book, first published in 2009, Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age , Gregg Braden gave wonderful clues into what we would expect to occur in our world and universe by the year 2012. Though years have passed since the first publication of the book, the information in the book remains relevant to us today. Gregg labours to elaborate how it is possible to read the past in order to discover what the future holds for us in our world and universe, and amazingly, even in our personal lives and relationships. This paper is written in order to analyse the Fractal Time book to find out what practical lessons we can pick from it. Personal views on how to apply the concepts presented in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He begins by stating that even if the conditions of the past can keep on repeating, the events do not have to repeat, except we choose. He makes it clear that we have a choice to make, either to take a step for better or for worse. He solidifies this point by providing us with important discoveries, like the Quantum Energy theory, the power of positive emotions and our Heart s Magnetic field influence on our environment all of which depend on the power of our choice. Gregg clarifies that a growing number of scientists have arrived at an inescapable conclusion that there s a place called The Realm of Quantum Energy. These scientists have concluded that it is at this place where all things begin, and where all things are possible and the kind of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs we choose to have at this point is what will influence the results of our circumstances regardless of the conditions we may be faced with. In this place it is believed, the atoms of matter are influenced by thought, feeling, emotion, and belief to become the reality of our world. This quantum energy place is created at the start of every cycle. Lessons Realized from the Book I have deduced quite a number of lessons from the book, nevertheless I will choose to talk about what I think are the most important ones to me. Firstly, I have learnt that it is vital to reflect on our past, because in it we find the evident cycles of the future which

  • 49. Food Web And Its Effects On The Environment There are three major intertidal zones including Upper Mid littoral Zone, Lower Mid littoral Zone, and the Lower Littoral Zone. These zones allow for different organisms to survive in their preferred tide levels. For example, the upper zone includes organisms that survive in a niche with high tide; where as the lower zone contains organisms with niches in low tidal zones. Within the ecology of intertidal ecosystems lies a food web varying from humans and to microscopic plants such as phytoplankton. Every level of this food web is both directly and indirectly affected by climate change leading to other factors also contributing to the condition of intertidal zones and the organisms within. The temperature of seawater has been on a slow but steady increase over the years, affecting the organisms below the sea level. This then directly affects the organisms above sea level, being either humans or birds. While humans remain in terrestrial environments and the large majority of the rest of the food web lies in aquatic environments, birds are able to act as the link between the two environments. When looking at intertidal species it has been found that mid to high intertidal species, such as crabs, sea stars, anemones, are more susceptible and defenseless to the change in climate than species with a lower intolerance to heat. The warming of the intertidal zones effects not only survival but also reproduction. Phytoplankton has been caused to reproduce sooner than expected
