Across communities, government schools generally had better teaching quality while infrastructure and facilities varied between school types by community. Most students understood the importance of education but some did not know their reasons for studying.

I.Sri Nithiesh Raj, a 6th standard student, collected old clothes from friends and relatives. He washed and folded the clothes and had an iron man help iron them without charge. He also collected donations to buy a bat, ball, comb, pencils, and hair oil. He then discussed giving the collected items to the manager of an AIDS-affected children's home that houses 96 children. Nithiesh Raj and his friends donated all the collected items to the home. He thanked his class teacher, DFC, friends, and parents for their support.

A group of students from Navy Children School in Goa adopted the nearby Zuari Nagar Secondary School to help improve its infrastructure. They visited the school and identified areas for assistance. As a first step, they donated a television set for educational programs. Over the course of a week-long project, the group developed a plan, visited the school multiple times, presented the TV, and conducted the enrichment sessions for around 300 students total. They received positive feedback and aim to continue assisting the school going forward.
