The Role of the CTO in a Growing OrganizationRoger Smith
The position of Chief Technology Officer is relatively new to corporate leadership and very little has been published on the role, responsibilities, and relationships of this position. Like many of the traditional leadership positions, the skills necessary to execute this position vary depending on the growth stage that the company is entering. In this paper we discuss the manner in which the role of the CTO changes as a company grows from a start-up to an industry dominating position.
A brief overview of where Key Performance Indicators really come from and how startup CTOs can effectively build analytics capacity in their companies.

The document discusses the importance of assessing networks from both the perspective of network architecture and how applications actually utilize the network from the packet level. It recommends using tools like packet sniffers to identify all delays from any source and quantify network performance data down to the microsecond. Taking a two-pronged approach of analyzing both the network design and how applications perform on the network provides a clear understanding of problems and their causes to guide resolution. The methodology is neutral and does not assume faults lie in either the network or applications before assessing both.
Transform customer and agent experienceDinesh Boomi
CRM systems typically present a large number of customer interaction records and events across multiple pages, making it difficult for agents to quickly understand disruptions in a customer's journey. Agents struggle to identify interactions related to a specific disruption and connect different actions that led to it. To address this, intelligence needs to be built into CRM systems to connect related interactions and events and present them in an easy way for agents to understand the root cause of issues. Drawing an analogy to how Google Maps simplifies presenting complex journeys, a transformed CRM could similarly make it easy for agents to identify and understand low-level details in a customer's journey.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
