- 1. Casting details Cast – I will use my mum for the role of the pet owner (Kelly) and my sister for the protagonist(Sam). This is because I can usethem for free, rather than add to my total cost by paying professionalactors. In addition to this they will be able to coordinate their schedule around the film schedule more easily. They will likely be more willing to film for me too. My sister is 17 so fits the casting call of a young female. I envisioned Sam to be young and blonde so my sister suits this appearance to make it morebelievable. She has some acting ability which suits the role of Sam as she has many speaking lines and lots of non- verbal communication. I didn’t wantSam to appear too young however as she is 17-18 so my sister will be appropriatefor this. She is slightly taller with a more mature body language and voice so it fits well. My mum also fits the role for the role of Kelly, as an older adult. Her acting ability while not professional, willdo for standard acting. She looks how I envisioned Kelly to look (shortdark hair, casually dressed etc.). She won’t feature a massivepartin the film as she only comes in at the end so her body languageand voice isn’t really shown long enough to be established, however shefits the idea of a mature older woman, and shows affection towards the dog which is exactly what I wanted from the character. Kelly Tops – M Bottoms – L Shoes – 7 Sam Tops – M Bottoms – M Shoes – 7 Crew – I will be the main crew member to set up and put away the equipment, and will be the main mode of transportfor myself. This is because this is the cheapest and most convenient option for my timescale and budget
