This document contains notes from a presentation given by Shivananda R Koteshwar to high school students in February 2015. The presentation discusses the relationship between science and technology, defining science as knowledge derived from study and observation, while defining technology as the application of scientific knowledge to solve problems or improve existing solutions through tools, machines, techniques and systems. It also notes that technology can be viewed as "applied science".
