Strategies for Supporting Rural Entrepreneurshipnado-web
What makes entrepreneurship different in rural places than in larger cities? What resources are needed to support rural
entrepreneurs with the guidance and expertise that they need to succeed? How do entrepreneurs contribute to the community, and what barriers do they commonly face? And what does culture, leadership, and local history have to do with it all? This session will highlight strategies for creating and sustaining effective entrepreneurial ecosystems in rural communities and regions through real-world examples, case studies, and interactive small group discussions.
This accelerates the employment generation and economic development. Entrepreneurship Development focuses on the individual who wishes to initiate or expand a business. SME development, on the other hand, it focuses on developing the enterprise, whether or not it employs or it is led by the individuals who can be considered entrepreneurial. Moreover, Entrepreneurship Development concentrates more on growth potential and innovation than the SME development does. However, many of the lessons learned from the experiences in both types of development are similar(Ojea, 2015).

A conceptual study of social entrepreneurshipdeshwal852
Social entrepreneurship is a unique entrepreneurship which is totally driven by the societal problems. Business entrepreneurship focuses on wealth creation and is of interest because of its potential to fuel economic development whereas social entrepreneurship focuses on ‘making the world a better place’ and creating social capital. Social entrepreneurs are driven by an ethical obligation and desire to improve their communities and societies. In this back drop an attempt is made to highlight the importance, ethics and preparation of young social entrepreneurs. All the relevant data was collected
through review of available literature.
Understanding the youth for embracing rural entrepreneurship as a careerdeshwal852
Entrepreneurship stands as a vehicle to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities and to sustain a healthy economy and environment. The majority of the rural population depends directly on agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship can play an important role for the growth of a
country. The present study is an exploratory research work that was focused on finding the difference between urban and rural male and female students for rural entrepreneurship. A sample of 240 students was considered for study. 120 students were male and rest 120 students were female. Random convenient sampling was used to collect the data. Chi-square test was used to interpret the data. Results
revealed that there was no significant difference between the urban and rural male students for taking rural entrepreneurship as a career. But there is significant difference between urban and rural female students for taking rural entrepreneurship as a career.

In the era of globalization, entrepreneurship development in the rural context is a challenge. According to 2011 Census 68.84% people are living in rural areas of India. People in rural areas suffer with unemployment, poor infrastructure facilities which may be solved with the development of the rural entrepreneurs. “Rural Entrepreneurship can be defined as entrepreneurship emerging at village level which can take place in a variety of fields of endeavor such as business, industry, agriculture and acts as a potent factor for economic development”. But, these rural entrepreneurs are suffering with various problems like fear of risk, lack of finance, illiteracy, and competition from the urban entrepreneurs. Opportunities and challenges for rural entrepreneurship in indiaSelladurai Muthusamy
Rural entrepreneurship has an imperative role to play in the
development of Indian economy. Taking into account the fact that
nearly 70 percent of the Indian population calls rural India it's home,
adequate funding and support can provide a prosperous entrepreneur
atmosphere in these communities. So far as it is known that rural India
as compared to the majority population is economically poor, younger,
more secluded geographically, secluded from the main markets, racially
imbedded in tradition, less dynamic economically and experiencing
depopulation. It is to be noticed that most of the entrepreneur
development policies are adapted to meet the needs of the urban India.
Such policies will have to be changed by establishing such centers
which exclusively deal with the rural communities and provide
consulting and research facilities.
