Importance of Reading to Young Children
Language skills.
The language used by the parents to the children tend to be repetitive and limited to vocabularies which are employed daily in addressing them. Thus, when the parents or the instructors read for the children, they enable them to have access to new vocabularies different from topics which comprise of more words and phrases which they do not hear on a daily basis. It also allows to learn new languages and develop the fluency when speaking.
Children lack the reading skills and therefore, it necessary to guide them. By that, the children will be able to achieve the following skills.

Memory/Long-Term- enables a child to access stored information
Visual Processing- allows children to think in visual images
Improves concentration
Attention/Sustained- helps children stay focused

1. Reading exposes the child to various brain exercises. These activities provoke their brains and thus making them start thinking and understanding things from a broad point of view and develop their way of reasoning (Kalb, 2014).
2. Reading to young children on a daily basis enables them to sit still for long periods, and this will be beneficial as they join school. Usually a child is distracted easily by their surrounding.

It develops the child’s imagination and creativity
Helping your child to become creative opens their minds up for great possibilities
Reading is a form of entertainment.
Have one or two nights a week for reading then make up games to go along with the story
It builds strong relationship between the parent and the child.
When parent spends time by his/her child bedside reading a book, this creates a bond between the them. Building a bond can help children grow emotionally.
1. When the parents read to their children, they provoke their mind to think about the characters, the setting to understand the flow of the story. Through that, the children are able to improve the way they choose ideas and think or imagine.
2. For instance, when reading comic books they present funny events which make the children enjoy the story and even respond to questions.
3. Sitting down with you child at the end of the day to read, helps both the parent and the child unwind and relax.

Introduction • Cartoons have been part of all social cultures and civilizations • Cartoons are the most continuous and effective open source of amusement which we give to our kids • Different types of cartoons have emerged and are further classified into five main groups as illustrative, comics strip, gag strip, animated and political • These cartoons are often expressive, comedic, political, cultural, religious, scientific and etc.

Research • Due to absence of Pakistani cartoon channel children have no option but to watch Indian cartoon channels • Lack of curricular activities allows children spend more time watching cartoons • More then 80% children watch Indian cartoon • Children have got influenced by Indian cartoons and this is the reason they lose their language and religion value and choose Hindi words while speaking • Children spend more time watching cartoons which cause them to ran out of physical activities

Abstract • Children mind is very fast in acquiring and imitating to anything they are exposed • Research shows how intercultural cartoons effects on children mind • Intercultural cartoons deflect children moral, social, lingual and religious value, after all cartoons are the most favorite entertainment for children • Some major impact are children’s violent behavior, adoption of Hindi words and leads to poor academic performance

Research Objective • To investigate the impact of Indian cartoons on Pakistani children • How Indian cartoons are promoting Indian culture and Hinduism in Pakistani society • Create awareness for parents to monitor the nature and timing of the television show they allow their children to watch • Resist the damage to children mind caused by intercultural cartoons • To bring them towards educational programs where their moral, lingual, social, religious value will be secure
- 7. Question The basic question is how Indian cartoons are effecting Pakistani children mind. Children are not just fantasizing their favorite cartoon character but also try to act like it whether it is a negative character or positive which leads towards corruption of children’s social, lingual and religious values. So what stand should be taken to prevent the corruption of young generation.
- 8. Hypothesis • There is a simple relationship between cartoons and adoption of the cartoon character by children • If children are watching Indian cartoons then the character they will adopt will be same as the cartoon which promotes Hindi language and Hinduism • This is the reason that young generation choose Hindi words while speaking and their religious views had diminished • This also makes children behave ill manner if they are not able to watch their favorite cartoons

Literature Reviews Children do adapt things faster, at such innocent age child mind is not able to judge difference between positive or negative thinking or character Cartoons have a great power of influence and a grasping quality of children interest as current generation children are more exposed to the electronic media especially television Children are highly impressed of the cartoons that even the try to adopt the character of their favorite cartoon character That is how Indian cartoons have also greatly affected the behavior of Pakistani children like for instance Chota bheem and Keymon Ache
- 10. Theoretical Framework Children keenly observe what cartoons actions describe. Children watch cartoons for entertainment therefore they prefer those cartoons which are understandable in terms of language, that is why Pakistani children prefer to watch Hindi version cartoons and while watching Hindi version they adapt Hindi as their language and due to Hindu concept in the cartoon child loses his religious value as well Following picture shows some of the Indian and Hindi dubbed cartoons on air in Pakistan
- 11. These are those cartoons which consist Hindi language and Hindu ideology and have been corrupting the moral, social, lingual and religious value of our young generation
