- 1. I’M FINDING IT HARDERTO BE A GENTLEMEN Lyric Annotations
- 2. Opens with a black screen accompanied with the title “I’m Finding it Harder to be a Gentlemen”. It opens to a man saying “well I’m finding it harder to be a gentlemen everyday then it fades to black and opens up to the main protagonist running with a guitar towards the car. You see someone who is running towards a car which seems to be waiting for him. The camera follows him steadily into the car (when the line “bit if I held the door open for you”) and joins him in the back seat of the car. (inspiration taken from here for this shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDv2OYKICoc) We are now sat in the car with the main protagonist, the person in front seems to be ignorant towards his presence. The main protagonist at the back of the car seems to have a pleasant expression on his face. At the “It wouldn't make your day” the camera shows the inside of the car where the main protagonist and someone with a symbol are in the backseat and then they play the instrumental bit. During the instrumental bit the camera goes from inside the car to outside of the window to watching the car drive off. Well I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman every day all the manner that I've been taught have slowly died away but if I held the door open for you It wouldn't make your day

The beginning of this verse a car comes from around the corner and passes the previous, however it is the same car and has the same people in it. “You think that I care about me and only me” this line is uttered by the passenger when it shows his face in the midst of their conversation. The camera is filming in one fluid motion. I will hopefully achieve this by having one person in the front of the car and another person in the back of the car so that I can pass the camera rig in- between two people. The time has gone forward and the same driver and the same passenger come back around. However their clothes have changed and they are still exchanging conversation between themselves and they look like they are in the middle of a heated argument. At the end of this verse the guy throws something in a rage and strides out of the car and carries on walking and then stops and plays the guitar, every step he takes his there is a jump cut, match change his outfit when the symbol hits. Then another car pulls up. (cuts to the end gig throughout) You think that I care about me and only me when every single girl needs help climbing up a tree well I know it don't take much to satisfy me

The man is still playing his air guitar (then it keeps cutting to him and the band on stage as this must be parallel to the man on the road) and when the line “maybe it’s whatever’s in my head that’s distracting me” CU on his forehead. He then runs to the in the car in the end of this verse as the instrumental bit is playing. Maybe it's whatever's in my head that's distracting me but if I could find emotion to stimulate devotion well then you'd see

They then are in the car driving to the gig that they are going to do.The line “I feel comfortable so baby why don’t you feel the same” is said then the people say that in the car whilst talking to each other. At the drum beat near the end of this verse have jump cuts that shows all of their equipment. In the instrumental at the end of this verse everyone gets out of the car and walks to where their gig is Well I'm finding it hard to say that I need you twenty times a day I feel comfortable so baby why don't you feel the same? have a doctor come and visit us and tell us which one is sane
- 6. In this last verse they are just going to be playing their performance at their gig.At the end of the verse have the camera turn to a pov shot and there is an empty crowd.
