Psychosocial care has been highlighted as a critical aspect of providing comprehensive patient-focused care. Specifically, one of the goals of The NSW Cancer Plan 2011-2015 is to improve the quality of life of people with cancer and their carers. This project was initiated to improve the current psychosocial model of care at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre (TKCC), to better reflect an integrated, holistic and comprehensive model of patient-centred care.
