Lesson plan on unit revision
The activities are for students around 10 years old with a beginner’s level of
English, in a public school. There will be one computer for every two or three children. The
aim of the activities is to revise the grammatical structures in the unit with vocabulary on
“toys”. These structures are: there is/there are, have/has got.
The class will be lead by the teacher and the use of the index, where students will
find all the activities and the order in which they have to proceed.
Communicative goal: describing different pictures and toys. Giving information
about different people’s possessions.
• I have got a lot of toys! The aim of this activity is for students to reinforce their
knowledge on the structure “have/ has got”. Students will find different sentences
in which the order of the words will differ and they will have to rearrange the
words to form a correct sentence.
• Playing in the garden! In this exercise, students have to complete the sentences
with “is” or “are”, according to “there is” or “there are”. This is for them to
practice when to use each and differentiate singular from plural.
• Toy matching! This exercise is to revise the vocabulary seen on “toys”. They have
to match the name of the toy to the corresponding picture.
• Toys in my bedroom! This is a reading comprehension. The text includes all the
topics seen in the unit (structures and vocabulary). Students have to provide the

2. • Crosstoys. This is an exercise for students to guess what toy we are talking about
according to the description given. In case they don’t understand well, we use
mimicry to explain what characterizes each toy or make some concepts clearer.
