The 2009 GET-IT Conference focused on sharing best practices in education technology. Over 80 participants from 30 countries attended. HP has numerous education projects around the world, including connecting every student in Northern Ireland and partnering with organizations like UNESCO. New technologies like distance learning, web 2.0 apps, and online services are making education more accessible and opportunities more equal. The GET-IT program aims to provide relevant, immersive, and open education and training to students globally.
Irene MacBain CV0 2016
Irene MacBain has experience in live video streaming, internet radio research, and IT/network support for small companies and charities. She has a BSc in Computer Networks and an MSc in Smart Networks from the University of the West of Scotland. She is currently working as a volunteer web designer, IT technician, and network/media manager for a church, where she oversees live video broadcasts and an internet radio station. Youth Theatre Arts Scotland: Make:IT:Happen fund report
In line with a new strategic plan, YTAS wanted to widen our appeal and reach by developing our digital capacity. We wanted to make the youth theatre sector more accessible and provide thought leadership for the individuals and organisations working within it. A key part of this aim was to create a more dynamic website.
Youth Theatre Arts Scotland: our AmbITion case study
The Youth Theatre Arts Scotland aimed to develop a new digital strategy and website to better serve their membership and become a leading online resource for professionals working with youth theatre. They conducted user research, developed requirements with a consultant, selected a developer and launched a new mobile-friendly website with directories, events, news and other improved features. While the project scope expanded, they prioritized based on budget and gained valuable insights into managing such projects.

This document describes a competition to crowdsource ideas for using technology to improve neighborhoods. It seeks sponsors and partners to fund prizes and activities. The competition will involve submitting and rating ideas online, workshops to refine top ideas, entrepreneurs submitting prototypes to develop top ideas, and a hackday for prototyping.
