Texting And Driving While Driving
Summary
Texting in cars and trucks causes over 3,000 deaths and 330,000 injuries per year, according to a
Harvard Centre for Risk Analysis study.
Texting while driving a vehicle has now replaced drinking while driving as the leading cause of
accidents and deaths of teenage drivers. Texting in traffic isn t simply a problem among teens and 47%
of adults admit that they text while driving. Texting drivers are 23 times more likely to be involved in
a crash than non texting drivers (Driving while Texting Six Times More Dangerous than Driving while
Drunk, 2014).
A mobile phone while driving is not only physically distracting, but visually distracting as well. A
driver is physically distracted as their hand is moved from the steering wheel to pick up the phone,
answer or end the call, or type a message. A mobile phone visually distracts the driver as their eyes are
taken off the road to look at the phone, when typing a message or reading (Service, 2013).
As a vehicle s speed increases, so does the distance travelled during the driver s reaction time and the
distance needed to stop. Also, the higher the speed, the greater the amount of kinetic energy that must
be absorbed by the impact in a crash. Therefore, as well as being identified as a causal factor in around
40 % of fatal crashes, speed is an aggravating factor in the severity of all crashes.
As speed increases so does the distance travel while brain is processing information and reacting to it
and so does the distance

The Quaternary Period and Other Periods
Cambrian:
This period started 540 million years ago and ended 500 million years ago.
There was a very mild climate. The supercontinent Rodinia began to break into smaller parts, or
continents. Lots of glaciation occurred so many animal families went extinct.
All phyla develop during this time period. Many marine animals, shell fish, echinoderms, and some of
the earliest fish appear.
Lots of glaciation occurred wiping out many animal families marking the end of the Cambrian period.
Ordovician:
This period started 505 million years ago and ended 438 million years ago.
Many primitive plants appeared on land and some of the first corals. Primitive fish and fungi also
make an appearance. High sea levels occur at fist but lower as global cooling, glaciation and
volcanism increase.
Plants, fungi and primitive fish are on land during this time period.
Glaciation marked the end of the Ordovician period.
Silurian:
This period started 438 million years ago and ended 408 million years ago.
The first vascular plants appear on land (plants with water conducting tissue). High seas spread
worldwide, brachiopods, crinoids and corals also make an appearance.
The first fish with jaws appeared during this time period along with insects, centipedes and millipedes.
Glaciation marked the end of the Silurian period.
Devonian:
This period started 410 million years ago and ended 360 million years ago.

The Existence of Absence in Keats On Seeing the Elgin...
In his sonnet On Seeing the Elgin Marbles for the First Time, John Keats presents a series of various
forms of conflict and tension. Most prominent is the poet s sense of his own fleeting existence
juxtaposed with the eternity of the Greek marble sculptures and, perhaps, with the timelessness of art
in general. However, there is another, more subtle tension between what is in existence, and what is
not, an absence which paradoxically manifests as a form of existence in itself. The presence of this
conflict within the sonnet shows Keats s self coined Negative Capability, the ability to be in
uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason (Keats 863).
Furthermore, the Negative Capability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The image plays heavily both on what was, the eagle soaring through the skies, and what remains, a
gaping absence: an eagle less sky and a lacking eagle. Hence, a fundamental element of the image is
the existence of an absence. Two lines later, the speaker describes the cloudy winds (7) which he does
not have. The unusual description of the winds as cloudy implies a fraught and stormy sky, and
stimulates both visual and tactile senses; yet, these same cloudy winds are absent to the speaker. Thus,
here too is an instance of the existence of absence; the vivid and sensuous imagery creates something
substantial and tangible, and, as such, the negation of the image s existence, becomes all the more
palpable; its absence becomes distinct and almost like an entity in its own right. The oxymoron dim
conceived glories (9) produces a similar tension. On a superficial level, the oxymoron is interesting in
that it combines dim, connoting darkness, with glories, which often connotes radiance or light.
Furthermore, there is a tension between the dim and conceived, the latter implying creation and thus
existence, while the first paradoxically suggests something barely or non existent. Implying the
creation of that which does not exist embodies the tension between existence and the

Language Development in Preschool Children
Language Development In Preschool Children
Jamie Lisowski
ECE 315
Professor Radkowski
January 30, 2012
Language development and literacy is at the forefront of early childhood education. Parents are being
encouraged to read more to their children now more than ever. Early experiences with language are
the foundation for success in later school years. This is why it is important to infuse language in every
way in the classroom. The infant, toddler, and preschool years are viewed as the point where children
take their first critical steps toward learning to read and write (National Association for the Education
of Young Children [NAEYC], 1998, p. 32) The following is a look into language development of three
and four year old ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This theory states that children s understanding of the environment comes through immediate direct
(sensory) experiences and motor activities (Otto, 2010, p. 30). It supports the idea of active, hands on
learning. Piaget also placed emphasis on the concept of object permanence (the awareness that an
object remains even though it is removed from sight) and believed it was a precursor to language
development (Otto, 2010).
There are four strategies that encourage language development: questioning, linguistic scaffolding,
mediation, and conflict resolution. These strategies are especially useful in the three to four year old
age range because language is just beginning to develop in complexity. Children of this age require
teacher modeling in order to appropriately learn to interact with their environment and to be socially
successful.
Questioning is a strategy that seems rather easy. In reality, it can be more complicated than it seems.
Questioning can occur in many situations and can be formal or informal. When reading a story, it is
important to have questions ready on hand so that focus remains on the lesson being taught. It is easy
to stray from the main idea. For this age range, it is important to ask questions during the story as well
as at the end. This keeps children actively involved in the process and also allows the teacher to gauge
children s comprehension.
Types of questions are also important. For this age group the focus

Of Selfishness In Lord Of The FliesAndJulius Ceaser
Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative
altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. In this quote, Martin Luther King, Jr., expresses
how a person has a decision between selflessness and selfishness, and that their decision predicts the
way they live. The choice of walking in, the light of creative altruism, allows a person to live a life
with little harm due to their selfless ways. However, a person s choice of walking in, the darkness of
destructive selfishness, will bring them many struggles and devastations throughout their lifetime.
Therefore, based on the person s actions, they will follow either a path of hardship or ease. Similarly,
in William Golding s, Lord of the Flies, and Shakespeare s, Julius Ceaser, the characters choose
between a selfless or selfish lifestyle. This decision is made through their intentions of killing to help
themselves or to benefit the lives of their group. In both the book, the character, Jack Merridew, and in
the play, the characters, Brutus and Cassius, all choose to kill with the goal of helping their groups.
Although the character s notions are right, there are hidden feelings of jealousy resulting in crimes that
are for their own good.
To further illustrate, in William Shakespeare s, Julius Ceaser, his character, Marcus Brutus, believes
that his choice to kill Ceaser is for the good of Rome. In the play, Cassius convinces Brutus that

Civil Rights And Social Integration Of African Americans
During the 20th century there were numerous riots, protests, and boycotts fighting for the equality and
social integration of African Americans. Some of the stories of individuals endeavoring for their
freedom have gone down in history resulting in laws being altered, regulations being revised, and
unimaginable boundaries being broken. Sadly, in order to establish justice in this world, violence and
death usually occur due to conflicting ideals. In Southern Los Angeles, even after African Americans
were issued their Civil Rights, underlying racism constructed barriers such as racial restrictive
covenants that ensured that blacks were still not welcome there. The two biggest social disturbances
that have taken place in the West have taken place in Los Angeles where unemployment,
overcrowding, poverty, and segregation have become increasingly prevalent. The first of these social
disturbances is the Rodney King riot of 1992 and the second is the Watts riot of 1965. The racial
bigotry, which was backed by the racial restrictive covenants and racial discrimination of LAPD
throughout Southern Los Angeles; as well as the events that sparked the Rodney King riot and the
Watts riot; clearly illustrate the racial segregation and the overall struggle that African Americans
faced during the 20th century. Between 1910 and 1920 in what is commonly known as the Great
Migration among 300,000 and 1,000,000 African Americans made their way toward northern cities to

The recent Fairy Tail Chapter 504 spoilers revealed that two of the Team Natsu members Gray and
Natsu will involve in a big altercation incident, while they are fighting against their enemy the Zeref

he has to confront Natsu Dragneel in the middle of their fight against Zeref. Natsu, in response to
Gray s actions, told him to set aside and let him finish slaying their enemy. But, Gray refused to listen

Demon race born from Books of Zeref or what they simply call the E.N.D., the only active Etherious
left until this time. On the other hand, Irene Belserion, who is known for her strength and peerless
magnitude of power, told Mavis Vermillion, the first Guild Master and the co founder of the Fairy Tail

The Master Of The Leopard Hunt Analysis
1. I think Gus Caseley Hayford would respond to Julian Bell s discussion on the bronze panel from the
Kingdom of Benin by the Master of the Leopard Hunt (illustrated on p. 207), short on the technic and
how the Benin civilization has done. Compare to Bell s description on the Master of the Leopard
Hunt, Hayford s discussion is more elaborate on the technic, tradition and evolution of Beni artworks.
A short paragraph could not explain all those details. Bell explores more the influence of European on
the artwork. Versus Hayford explains that for the British, it was difficult to believe that these artworks
were from Africa. A population they thought was primitive was able to achieve such bronze relief
panel as the same stander as the European.

Literary Scholarship And Criticism Of Shakespeare s The...
Shakespeare critic and Harvard literature professor, Harold Bloom, asserts that Shakespeare is the
metaphorical inventor of man. Bloom writes:
The plays remain the outward limit of human achievement: aesthetically, cognitively, in certain ways
morally, even spiritually. They abide beyond the end of the mind s reach, we cannot catch up to them.
Shakespeare will go on explaining us, in part because, he invented us (pp. 19 20).
Bloom s audacious evaluation of Shakespeare has been echoed throughout the canon of literary
scholarship and criticism. In fact, Bloom s invention thesis, found in Shakespeare: The Invention of
the Human, represents a culmination of centuries of teaching and reflection upon the famous English
poet s craft. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet: The Prince of Denmark is a hallmark example of Shakespeare s contemplation of social
tolerance and equity in the exploration of human sociology. In this play, we see the malignant
ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude, and
the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost, construct the
grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially distilled and literally
embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at the onset of this play, sets
the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the figurative stage for a study of human
character and action, or alternatively, ego and power. Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime
against his father: a murder committed by Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led
him down a the path of a usurper. Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not
morally equivalent between these two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth
that his father was murder. His ego is that of a wounded sense of self created out of the anguish he
feels in his inability to take deliberate action against Claudius, driven out of the lack of evidence to

The Contemporary Art of Atomic Vacation by Todd Schorr
Description Atomic Vacation is an outstanding example of contemporary art. The painting was created
with acrylic paints on a 6 x 7 foot canvas. Todd Schorr (American artist) painted Atomic Vacation in
2008 but, did not release it till the art show Designed for Extinction where he showcased his last
decade of work. This painting caused a huge controversy with religious groups from the area around
the Otis College of Art and Design in L.A. Todd Schorr is known as one of the best acrylic painters of
our time. The way he blends colors, yet making each one stand out shows in great detail how he has
mastered the art of acrylic painting. The color template used for this work was very wide, and that
only further shows how great of an artist Schorr is. He also uses thin, fat, swirly, straight, and curved
lines showing his skills of using the lines in a flowing way when it comes to the family and their
camper; however, he also uses jagged lines in the horseman and demons to show a little intimidation.
If you look closely at the ring around the mushroom cloud, you will notice that using a great detail of
shadowing, there are demons and monsters swirling in chaos. This alone shows how Todd Schorr has
mastered the art of acrylic painting with great detail. II. Analysis The subject of this painting is quite
obvious. The four horsemen come straight from the New Testament of the Bible when it is depicting
what will happen during the apocalypse after the rapture, and the innocent

Compare And Contrast All In The Family
1.) How is this TV show different from shows of today? How is it similar?
All in the Family differs from show of today in many ways. The many derogatory and racist terms,
used primarily by Archie Bunker, would not be able to said in a script for a modern day television
show. Words and terms used to describe people of any non American race or people in general would
be seen as non politically correct. The common racism theme throughout the show would degrade the
idea of American equality, which is a vital necessity in our growing nation. The show also mocked
religion, referring to a burning cross and roasting marshmallows over it. This kind of comment would
create a national eruption of offended individuals. Today s television shows are reviewed to portray a
politically correct message, or a decline in reputation will occur for anyone involved with the show.
While All in the Family greatly differs from modern American television shows, it also contains some
similarities. The show portrayed an overall theme of how people talked and acted in their daily lives
compared to a fictional or dramatized movie or television show. In the 1971 show premier, racial
inequality was a common theme in American society. The way Archie talked about others, and even
the disrespect to his son in law and mocking of his wife, was common. This slang was honest and
normal to the Bunkers, which showed real world issues with racism and family interaction. Many real
world issues are also

experience. This paper will also cover a type of human development this writer identifies with and
how they to relate to the field of mental health counseling. These topics will assist one in connecting

Self Assessment were not unexpected to me. Nine of the answers were four (4), which is not expected
to me due to being taught by my mother and grandmother to not to talk too much and listen to other
people. I was also taught to not judge Others based on who they are, what they have, or what they say.
I avoided judging other people because I did not want to be judged in the same manner. The five
questions I answered with a five (5) were not ones I had to think hard about. I do not assume anything
in any situation to avoid looking like a donkey. I go out the majority of time to watch people interact
with each other and find humor in what is taking place. I like to hear all sides of an issue in order to

My Vocation After High School
Serena Tim English 12 CP Mrs. Mennuti March 1, 2016 Obstetrics Nurse During the past four years
people have asked me what I wanted to do for a vocation after high school. I always had an answer,
but I always transmuted my vocation path. I kenned that I wanted to go into health care, but I was
never genuinely certain on what field I wanted to go into. I am still skeptical on what I optate to do
with the rest of my life, but I cerebrate this research has availed me to decide. There is one vocation in
which I find intriguing which is obstetric nursing. An Obstetrics nurse avails medicos with the care of
enceinte mothers afore and after birth. OB nurses customarily avail with preparing the distribution
room, prepping the patients, preparing instruments, caring for a baby immediately after birth,
expounding after birth care to incipient parents, and keeping track of family members and partners
who are present afore and after the birth. Trained obstetric professionals are typically the ones that
women turn to afore, during, and after their nine month journeys. Albeit obstetricians play an integral
and incontrovertibly paramount role during this time in a woman s life, obstetric nurses are dedicated
professionals that should not be overlooked. Due to the long and erratic hours along with the
infrequent tragedy, obstetric nursing as a vocation is sometimes as stressful and challenging as it is
rewarding. When it comes to taking care of a mother and child an OB nurse has many

I have always felt a very strong connection to the bible itself and its teachings, and Israel is an
imperative part of the book. While certain decisions that have been made in that area are questionable,
it is one sided to boycott the entire country when a great deal of people have done nothing wrong and
are attempting to make a living for themselves. It is evident that I have always been very interested in
the financials of our church and recently they have bothered me. It seems we have been frivolously
spending money lately, and while it may appear like small amounts at the time, it all adds up. When
financials are as tight as they currently are we must first worry about keeping the lights on. This was
especially evident to me when we decided to spend money for Pride in the Park combined with the
add we purchased. Finally, the recent decision to have our Saturday worship on the same day as an
already existing church activity has really rubbed me the wrong way. For nearly a decade members of
our church have made the evening meal at Churches United For the Homeless, and I feel it was a poor
decision to have our bimonthly Saturday worships overlap directly with that ministry. It not only takes
volunteers away from Churches but also takes people away from

A Brief Introduction to Methods of Word Formation in English
A Brief Introduction to Methods of Word Formation in English
I. Introduction Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. Linguistics can be broadly
broken into three categories or subfields of study: language form, language meaning, and language in
context. The earliest known activities in descriptive linguistics have been attributed to Panini around
500 BCE, with his analysis of Sanskrit in Ashtadhyayi. The first subfield of linguistics is the study of
language structure, or grammar. This focuses on the system of ruled followed by the users of a
language. It includes the study of morphology (the formation and composition of words), syntax (the
formation and composition of phrases and sentences from these words), and ... Show more content on

3. Acronym An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial components in a phrase or a word.
These components may be individual letters (as in CEO) or parts of words (as in Benelux and
Ameslan). There is no universal agreement on the precise definition of various names for such
abbreviations nor on written usage. In English and most other languages, such abbreviations
historically had limited use, but they became much more common in the 20th century. Acronyms are a
type of word formation process, and they are viewed as a subtype of blending. There are many
different types of the word formation process acronym. Here are several pairs of them.

Managing Employee Retention and Turnover Essay
Managing Employee Retention and Turnover
Employee retention has always been an important focus for human resource managers. Once a
company has invested time and money to recruit and train a good employee, it is in their own best
interest to retain that employee, to further develop and motivate him so that he continues to provide
value to the organization. But, employers must also recognize and tend to what is in the best interest
of their employees, if they intend to keep them. When a company overlooks the needs of its
employees and focuses only on the needs of the organization, turnover often results. Excessive
turnover in an organization is a prime indicator that something is not right in the employee
environment. We will look at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

gives them a sense of job security. In today s workplace, the more training employees get, the more

Interim Services and Louis Harris and Associates: Among employees who say their company offers
poor training, 41 percent plan to leave within a year, versus only 12 percent of those who rate training

Population Growth On Environment And Development
According to Ray (1998), every four days there is a net population increase of over one million
people, and this exponential increase is greatly associated as being one of the main drivers of poverty
and environmental degradation worldwide (Dasgupta, 1995), resulting in extreme stress on ecosystem
services (ES), as well as human development. However, the extent to which future population growth
will be a problem for both the environment and development is disputed amongst academics around
four main models which link population, environment, and development together. In this essay, I will
begin by exploring the vicious circle and Malthusian models and their views of population growth on
environment and development, and contrast these with the Boserup and Cornucopian models using
examples, before concluding.
The exponential growth of global population has seen the per annum population increase go from
taking 100 years between the 1st billion and 2nd billion to just 16 years between the 6th and 7th
billion (Ray, 1998). The Malthusian (/ neo Malthusian) model developed by Thomas Malthus in 1798,
as well as the Vicious Circle Model (VCM) both regard population growth as an extreme problem for
both the environment and for the development of nations. The Malthusian theories links how as global
population increases exponentially and food production remains linear, a critical point comes whereby
shortages of food will result in large scale famine and death until population values

A Rhetorical Analysis Of Concrete Angel
Martina McBride s song titled Concrete Angel is a powerful and emotional ballet that projects a
powerful message about child abuse to the viewers through many rhetorical strategies. The music
video along with the song itself includes a lot of pathos rhetorical strategies as well as logos and ethos
in an odd and faintly manner. The content presented in the video correlates with the lyrics of the song
and combined create a powerful piece of art. Logos, ethos, and pathos are incorporated in this
heavenly compelling artwork in a odd manner in order to convey a story dealing with child abuse and
its effect. The example that represent pathos in the beginning of the music video informs the readers
on what the situation may be. The begining scene is of a mother sitting in her bedroom smoking while
her daughter, Angela who appears to be the age of 6 or 7, is walking off to school by herself. As she
walks alone, she observes another mother hugging her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The chorus goes as following, Through the wind and the rain/She stands hard as a stone/In a world
that she can t rise above/But her dreams give her wings/And she flies to a place where she s
loved/Concrete angel . The first two lines are a simile and represent logos because wind is normally
interpreted as something sad that moves things. Rain is also interpreted as sad and depressing because
when it rains it is normally gloomy and the sky is grey and simply makes people feel down. The
simile is saying that Angela is acting like a hard stone, one that doesn t move and is up fighting against
the harsh wind and rain that is pouring down on her. Also, the last four lines demonstrate that in the
abusive situation that Angela is in and can t seem to get out, affects her want of receiving love and
admiration by someone and causes her to rise above and go to heaven where she will receive the love
that she

Budgeting and Compliance Issues in Healthcare
Budgeting and Compliance Budgeting and compliance issues are very important to healthcare.
Budgeting ensures the quality of care given to patients, what technologies the hospital has available,
and how staff gets paid, determining raises and benefits. Waste of time and supplies are damaging to
the budget. Compliance issues are what determine the standards of care given to patients. They also
set standards for safety of both patients and staff. Non compliance can cause fines for the facility and
loss of accreditation, which in turn causes losses of reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid, and
insurance. Safety issues can cause people to get hurt and, in turn, cause lawsuits for individuals and
the organization. The cost of lawsuits and employee injuries can be very damaging to a budget.
Healthcare workers also stand the chance of consequences in noncompliance issues. Fines, legal
consequences, termination, and lose of professional licenses can occur. Both operational and capital
budgets are made up by the CFO, Chief Financial Officer, and approved by the CEO, Chief Executive
Officer, and the Board of Directors. (Operational Review of the Health Care Corporation of St Johns,
2002) The operational budget is based on projected costs, such as staff, supplies, administration, and
technology costs, and projected revenue from patient services and investments. They are usually made
up for the organization s fiscal year. The capital budget is a long term budget that is based on

The Importance Of The Monster In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
In Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, the Monster might be incorrectly named when most people think of
monsters, they think of creatures that are inherently bad. The Monster, however, experienced emotions
like any human did and was even repulsed at thoughts of death and destruction; events throughout the
story shaped the Monster into the murder he became. The Monster also encountered books that
developed his pessimistic worldview and hatred of humanity, including Ruins of Empires, Paradise
Lost, The Sorrows of Young Werther, and Plutarch s Lives. The characters and events in these books
were partially responsible for the Monster s belief that he would never be accepted by any human. If
he had read some more optimistic works with characters he could relate to, perhaps he would have
developed into a different character.
Ruins of Empires is the first book that the Monster is exposed to; he listens as Felix reads and explains
the book to Safie, who is visiting the cottage. Written by C.F. Volney, Ruins of Empires is a general
history book that discusses the rise and fall of ancient empires as well as their numerous conflicts, and
it gives the Monster his first impression of not only history, but humanity. The Monster states that he
initially wondered why a human would ever kill its fellow; after listening to Ruins of Empires, he has
a much better understanding of the true nature of humanity. As he listens, he wonders if humans are at
once so powerful, so virtuous and magnificent,

Research Paper On Aspartame
There has been many debates on whether aspartame is good for us or not. In the 1960s James
Schlatter, a chemist working for the G.D Searle company, was working on creating a cure for stomach
ulcers and accidently tasted it off of his fingers (Evangelista, n.d.). Little did he know that his cure
would become a popular artificial sweetner in America. The chemical additive consists of,
phenylalaine and aspartic acid, two amino acids, as well as methanol (Wells, 2011). Aspartame is
popular for people who want to lose or maintain a healthy weight. Since it is 200 times more sweet
than actual sugar a lot less calories are needed in order to have the same sweet taste (International
Food Information Council Foundation, 2011). Aspartame is found ... Show more content on

After it was studied three times by independant scientists, it was determined to have a high chance of
inducing brain tumors (Evangelista, n.d.). 74 out of 166 investigations regarding aspartame are
sponsored by aspartame industries. All of the 74 studies claimed aspartame was safe and most of the
ones who weren t supported financially mentioned issues with the safety of this additive (Zimmer
Chiropractic, 2016). It shows how although many organizations support the chemical additive and
many researches have been conducted and support aspartame, we should also consider analysises
which prove aspartame is not safe. Aspartame is a type of excitotoxine, which excites the brain cells
so much they quickly die. This chemical plays a major role in degenerative nervous system diseases
such as Parkinson s and alzeihmer s (Lant, 2015). An experiment has also been conducted on seven
infant monkeys. They injested milk and aspartame only. After 300 days, one of the seven monkeys
died, five of the same seven monkeys had grad mal seizures. The results of this experiment were
hidden from the FDA when G.D Searle submitted the inital applications (Evangelista, n.d.). Many
medical effects have been known to be caused by aspartame such as; dizziness, seizures, headaches,
certain cancers and birth defects (The Healthline Editorial Team, 2015). In short, people have cheated
the system into accepting a chemical that is not healthy. That is morally

Seven Years War Causes
The Seven Years War, or The French and Indian War as it has been called in North America, was
fought from 1756 1763 between the French and the British. The primary underlying cause of the war
was control of land used in the lucrative fur trade. Both the French and English wanted to profit from
selling the popular pelts of the American beaver and otter. French and British settlers gradually
expanded until there were many lines of friction that caused disputes. One of the immediate causes of
the war was the Battle of Fort Necessity in 1754. Days before the battle, George Washington was sent
by the British to insist that the French vacate an area around modern day Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
and to use military force if necessary. They refused,

The Mohammed And The Prophet
Also, in a longer hadith, the Prophet (pbuh) said that the salah (prayer) is a light, and charity is a
proof, and patience is illumination. In one hadith from al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, it is reported that
the Prophet (pbuh) said, None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves
for himself. In another hadith, the Prophet said Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day speak
good, or keep silent; and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour;
and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest. In another hadith, a man
asked the Prophet (pbuh) for counsel and the Messenger (pbuh) answered several times by saying Do
not become angry. From 40 Hadith Nawawi 24, the Prophet is reported saying that God said, O My
servants! I have forbidden dhulm (oppression) for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you,
so do not oppress one another. In another from Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) said, Do not envy
one another, and do not inflate prices for one another, and do not hate one another, and do not turn
away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade, but [rather] be slaves of Allah and
brothers [amongst yourselves]. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not oppress him, nor
does he fail him, nor does he lie to him, nor does he hold him in contempt. Taqwa (piety) is right here

Euripides Support of Women’s Rights Essay
Euripides Support of Women s Rights
One can hardly deny that in Euripides plays women are often portrayed as weak, uncertain, and torn
between what they must do and what they can bring themselves to do. Other women appear to be the
root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of characters and
plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be very much against
women. However, when looking back with current understanding of what Euripides was doing at the
time, armed with knowledge of plot devices and Socratic philosophy, this argument simply does not
hold up. In fact, a very strong argument can be made to the opposite, that Euripides was in fact ...

To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is necessary.
Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination of the two
classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art deities
(Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure, the
molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the more
plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the conception. The
Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps induced by a god or sleep,
while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated
before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art influences. The Apollonian influence is
seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance.
The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by the exclusive nature of each performance
(Nietzsche 2).
The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and
Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way it
had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with

Dns, A Domain Name System
2.1.2 DNS SPOOFING: DNS is a Domain Name System. DNS contains all IP addresses and name of
the websites in its database in the form of records called resource records and are placed in the
hierarchal manner. DNS spoofing is a similar type of MITMA when compared to ARP cache
poisoning. DNS spoofing is a technique used by hackers to provide false DNS information to the host
while accessing a website. When users try to gain access to a particular website, a request will be first
sent out the local DNS server for the IP address of the website which the user wants to access. Once it
receives the request the DNS server does a search in the database to find the particular IP address of
the website, once if identifies the ip address of the website it immediately send a response to the user
browser regarding the IP information.
FIGURE 2: DNS Request Query If the requested IP address is not found in the database of the DNS
server, it will then forward the request to a higher level DNS server in the hierarchy. It is due the
hierarchical nature of the DNS structure of the internet, DNS server need the ability to communicate
with each other in order to find the ip addresses of the websites requested by the users. It is reasonable
to expect the local DNS server to know the name mapping to the local intranet server. It is termed as

Thus, in describing the trade in African slaves and the institution of New World slavery as the largest
crime in human history, Nehusi speaks of the Maafa, or the African Holocaust, as a terror that has
been hushed up: one part of that crime has been the attempt to forget, to pretend that it did not happen
and to present a history ethnically cleansed of all traces of this genocide ... (Nehusi 2000, 8). Very
much in line with the thinking of Smart and Nehusi, Paquet views slavery as a crime and speaks of the
depravity of the slave owner (p. 42) as she applauds the efforts of Mary Prince to expose the horrors of
the system: Prince lays bare for public scrutiny the criminality of slave owners and the legal system

Slobodan Miloševićs role in the destruction of Yugoslavia
Slobodan Milošević was an instrumental part of the Yugoslav Wars, his actions were the greatest
factors in the ethnic tensions sparking into an all out war. He used the Serbian media to great effect as
he was able to change the Serbian people s option of the conflict to benefit his actions. Also his
influence over the Serbian people gave him unchecked authority with his internal actions.
Everything spiralled down after the Leader of Yugoslavia Marciall Tito died on the 4th of May 1980
and his iron grip on the peoples of Yugoslavia disintegrated.
Slobodan Milošević was assigned to handle some ethnic troubles in the Autonomous Region of
Kosovo between the Albanians and the Serbs. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goverents of the autonoums regions stepped down and were replaced with close allies of
Milošević giving him almost half of Yugoslavia. Miloševićs use of crowds was another of his methods
for forcing his will and this was demonstrated ater that year Milošević attempted to use his Kosovoan
Serbs to perform mass protests in Slovenia against Slovenia s changes to its constitution. Around
30,000 40,000 protestors were planded to swarm the city of Ljubliana but were prevented from
entering Slovenia by the Croats. This act also strengthened Croatia s involvement in the issue.
Milošević effectively used propaganda during the Yugoslav Wars to manipulate the Serbian people
into supporting his actions. One such case was this image claiming to show a Serbian boy morning his
family whom had been killed by Bosnian Muslims. In reality this is a 19th Century painting depicting
an orphan at his mother s grave. This control of the Serbian media ensured all of his activates were
supported because of the mindset of hatred and fear instated towards the Croats and Bosnaks thus

Coca Cola Vs. Pepsico
Coca Cola vs. PepsiCo
Coca Cola is a leading beverage industry in the United States and many other countries in the world.
PepsiCo is also a leading worldwide beverage company, but they are also the parent company of the
Frito Lay and Quaker Oats Companies. This makes PepsiCo a leader in the beverage, snack and cereal
industries. As consumers, we have indulged in their products for many years. My personal preference
has always been Pepsi over Coke, which is why I was very interested in conducting this analysis.
Regardless of the results, I will always seek out a Diet Pepsi over a Diet Coke and so will many of my
physician friends at Children s Hospital who start their mornings with a Diet Pepsi. These personal
preferences are what contributes to a company s profits through net sales. However, the key
performance measurement tools used are not based on sales alone. Calculating liquidity, solvency, and
profitability ratios on a regular basis give us a better insight on the performance and overall health of a
company. Coca Cola vs. PepsiCo Liquidity
Liquidity ratios measure the short term ability of a company to pay its obligations and meet their
needs for maintaining cash. According to Cagle, Campbell Jones (2013), A good assessment of a
company s liquidity is important because a decline in liquidity leads to a greater risk of bankruptcy (p.
44). Creditors, investors and analysts alike are all interested in a company s liquidity. After computing

Effects Of Martial Law In The Philippines
On September 21, 1972, President Ferdinand Marcos issued Proclamation 1081, declaring martial law
over the Philippines. It has been 44 years since that dreadful day, but the scars still remain in the heart
of every Filipino citizen. Martial Law proclaims that an area is placed under the control of the Armed
Forces of the Philippines. It is usually imposed when the government or civilian authorities fail to
function effectively. The reason behind the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines was to
suppress a series of bombings, threat of a communist takeover, and an assassination attempt on
Secretary of Defense Juan Ponce Enrile in Mandaluyong. This was also imposed to save the republic
and to improve the social, economic, and political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, these good gains did not last long. Basic human rights were not attained during the Martial
Law. People at that time did not practice being disciplined at that time, but instead, they followed
orders because they feared the authorities who had the power to arrest civilians who would disobey
the rules. With power given to the military to save democracy, they committed a number of human
rights violations. An estimate of 7,000 victims of torture, 2,000 people salvaged, and 1,000 people
disappeared. (Malanes, 1999) Statistics are not just numbers. This was a serious case of human rights
violation wherein thousands of lives were lost and thousands of families destroyed. Thus, the Martial
Law is considered as the darkest days of democracy. Human rights violations is the best evidence that
there was no democracy in the Philippines during Ferdinand Marcos regime. Additionally, the
economic crisis and debt crisis caused by the Martial Law made the country suffer. Unemployment
rates were high and poverty in the Philippines only grew larger. A lot of people remember fondly the
peace and order brought by the Martial Law, but the brutal side of the Marcos regime brought us
Filipinos into hardships, sufferings, and

movement. His father, Alec, was a schoolteacher. (1) From a very young age Golding has known he
wanted to be a writer. His first published work was when he was twenty three. William Golding s
father had the most influence on him. Up until he attended college he was at the school his father
taught at. He went to Brasenose College at Oxford in 1930 to study natural science in order to become

I began to see what people were capable of doing. Anyone who moved through those years without
understanding that man produces evil as a bee produces honey, must have been blind or wrong in the
head. In Lord of the Flies, which was published in 1954, Golding combined that perception of
humanity with his years of experience with schoolboys. (1) His writing mostly depicted his
experiences with the army, war, brutality of the human nature and a will to survive. (2) William
Golding knew we all had evil in us and it is a matter of time before we can t hold it back anymore and
we become not so innocent people no more. Lord of the Flies is a literary phenomenon; the title is
instantly recognisable as a synonym for societal breakdown. (3) The main idea is a man s struggle to
avoid becoming captive of savagery when the rules of civilization have been removed. We are taught
to follow rules and commands and value the good in others. This is a hassle because our evil side
wants to fulfill our own selfish desires and gain power and do whatever it takes it achieve that no
matter the consequences. Lord of the Flies is a great example of evil and civilization failing because it
shows that people need rules and laws to keep the evil from escaping our bodys. Maybe there is a

  • 2. Texting And Driving While Driving Summary Texting in cars and trucks causes over 3,000 deaths and 330,000 injuries per year, according to a Harvard Centre for Risk Analysis study. Texting while driving a vehicle has now replaced drinking while driving as the leading cause of accidents and deaths of teenage drivers. Texting in traffic isn t simply a problem among teens and 47% of adults admit that they text while driving. Texting drivers are 23 times more likely to be involved in a crash than non texting drivers (Driving while Texting Six Times More Dangerous than Driving while Drunk, 2014). A mobile phone while driving is not only physically distracting, but visually distracting as well. A driver is physically distracted as their hand is moved from the steering wheel to pick up the phone, answer or end the call, or type a message. A mobile phone visually distracts the driver as their eyes are taken off the road to look at the phone, when typing a message or reading (Service, 2013). As a vehicle s speed increases, so does the distance travelled during the driver s reaction time and the distance needed to stop. Also, the higher the speed, the greater the amount of kinetic energy that must be absorbed by the impact in a crash. Therefore, as well as being identified as a causal factor in around 40 % of fatal crashes, speed is an aggravating factor in the severity of all crashes. As speed increases so does the distance travel while brain is processing information and reacting to it and so does the distance ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. The Existence of Absence in Keats On Seeing the Elgin... In his sonnet On Seeing the Elgin Marbles for the First Time, John Keats presents a series of various forms of conflict and tension. Most prominent is the poet s sense of his own fleeting existence juxtaposed with the eternity of the Greek marble sculptures and, perhaps, with the timelessness of art in general. However, there is another, more subtle tension between what is in existence, and what is not, an absence which paradoxically manifests as a form of existence in itself. The presence of this conflict within the sonnet shows Keats s self coined Negative Capability, the ability to be in uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason (Keats 863). Furthermore, the Negative Capability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The image plays heavily both on what was, the eagle soaring through the skies, and what remains, a gaping absence: an eagle less sky and a lacking eagle. Hence, a fundamental element of the image is the existence of an absence. Two lines later, the speaker describes the cloudy winds (7) which he does not have. The unusual description of the winds as cloudy implies a fraught and stormy sky, and stimulates both visual and tactile senses; yet, these same cloudy winds are absent to the speaker. Thus, here too is an instance of the existence of absence; the vivid and sensuous imagery creates something substantial and tangible, and, as such, the negation of the image s existence, becomes all the more palpable; its absence becomes distinct and almost like an entity in its own right. The oxymoron dim conceived glories (9) produces a similar tension. On a superficial level, the oxymoron is interesting in that it combines dim, connoting darkness, with glories, which often connotes radiance or light. Furthermore, there is a tension between the dim and conceived, the latter implying creation and thus existence, while the first paradoxically suggests something barely or non existent. Implying the creation of that which does not exist embodies the tension between existence and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Language Development in Preschool Children Language Development In Preschool Children Jamie Lisowski ECE 315 Professor Radkowski January 30, 2012 Language development and literacy is at the forefront of early childhood education. Parents are being encouraged to read more to their children now more than ever. Early experiences with language are the foundation for success in later school years. This is why it is important to infuse language in every way in the classroom. The infant, toddler, and preschool years are viewed as the point where children take their first critical steps toward learning to read and write (National Association for the Education of Young Children [NAEYC], 1998, p. 32) The following is a look into language development of three and four year old ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This theory states that children s understanding of the environment comes through immediate direct (sensory) experiences and motor activities (Otto, 2010, p. 30). It supports the idea of active, hands on learning. Piaget also placed emphasis on the concept of object permanence (the awareness that an object remains even though it is removed from sight) and believed it was a precursor to language development (Otto, 2010). There are four strategies that encourage language development: questioning, linguistic scaffolding, mediation, and conflict resolution. These strategies are especially useful in the three to four year old age range because language is just beginning to develop in complexity. Children of this age require teacher modeling in order to appropriately learn to interact with their environment and to be socially successful. Questioning is a strategy that seems rather easy. In reality, it can be more complicated than it seems. Questioning can occur in many situations and can be formal or informal. When reading a story, it is important to have questions ready on hand so that focus remains on the lesson being taught. It is easy to stray from the main idea. For this age range, it is important to ask questions during the story as well as at the end. This keeps children actively involved in the process and also allows the teacher to gauge children s comprehension. Types of questions are also important. For this age group the focus ... • 6. Of Selfishness In Lord Of The FliesAndJulius Ceaser Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. In this quote, Martin Luther King, Jr., expresses how a person has a decision between selflessness and selfishness, and that their decision predicts the way they live. The choice of walking in, the light of creative altruism, allows a person to live a life with little harm due to their selfless ways. However, a person s choice of walking in, the darkness of destructive selfishness, will bring them many struggles and devastations throughout their lifetime. Therefore, based on the person s actions, they will follow either a path of hardship or ease. Similarly, in William Golding s, Lord of the Flies, and Shakespeare s, Julius Ceaser, the characters choose between a selfless or selfish lifestyle. This decision is made through their intentions of killing to help themselves or to benefit the lives of their group. In both the book, the character, Jack Merridew, and in the play, the characters, Brutus and Cassius, all choose to kill with the goal of helping their groups. Although the character s notions are right, there are hidden feelings of jealousy resulting in crimes that are for their own good. To further illustrate, in William Shakespeare s, Julius Ceaser, his character, Marcus Brutus, believes that his choice to kill Ceaser is for the good of Rome. In the play, Cassius convinces Brutus that Ceaser is not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Civil Rights And Social Integration Of African Americans During the 20th century there were numerous riots, protests, and boycotts fighting for the equality and social integration of African Americans. Some of the stories of individuals endeavoring for their freedom have gone down in history resulting in laws being altered, regulations being revised, and unimaginable boundaries being broken. Sadly, in order to establish justice in this world, violence and death usually occur due to conflicting ideals. In Southern Los Angeles, even after African Americans were issued their Civil Rights, underlying racism constructed barriers such as racial restrictive covenants that ensured that blacks were still not welcome there. The two biggest social disturbances that have taken place in the West have taken place in Los Angeles where unemployment, overcrowding, poverty, and segregation have become increasingly prevalent. The first of these social disturbances is the Rodney King riot of 1992 and the second is the Watts riot of 1965. The racial bigotry, which was backed by the racial restrictive covenants and racial discrimination of LAPD throughout Southern Los Angeles; as well as the events that sparked the Rodney King riot and the Watts riot; clearly illustrate the racial segregation and the overall struggle that African Americans faced during the 20th century. Between 1910 and 1920 in what is commonly known as the Great Migration among 300,000 and 1,000,000 African Americans made their way toward northern cities to try and escape the ... I think Gus Caseley Hayford would respond to Julian Bell s discussion on the bronze panel from the Kingdom of Benin by the Master of the Leopard Hunt (illustrated on p. 207), short on the technic and how the Benin civilization has done. Compare to Bell s description on the Master of the Leopard Hunt, Hayford s discussion is more elaborate on the technic, tradition and evolution of Beni artworks. A short paragraph could not explain all those details. Bell explores more the influence of European on the artwork. • 11. Literary Scholarship And Criticism Of Shakespeare s The... Shakespeare critic and Harvard literature professor, Harold Bloom, asserts that Shakespeare is the metaphorical inventor of man. Bloom writes: The plays remain the outward limit of human achievement: aesthetically, cognitively, in certain ways morally, even spiritually. They abide beyond the end of the mind s reach, we cannot catch up to them. Shakespeare will go on explaining us, in part because, he invented us (pp. 19 20). In fact, Bloom s invention thesis, found in Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human, represents a culmination of centuries of teaching and reflection upon the famous English poet s craft. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hamlet: The Prince of Denmark is a hallmark example of Shakespeare s contemplation of social tolerance and equity in the exploration of human sociology. In this play, we see the malignant ambition of newly throned King Claudius, the questionable decision making of Queen Gertrude, and the emotionally preying and encompassing force of murdered King Hamlet s ghost, construct the grounds for contemplation of human drama; this contemplation is essentially distilled and literally embodied by the character of Prince Hamlet. Moreover, the truth, hidden at the onset of this play, sets the internal and external conflict for Prince Hamlet as well as the figurative stage for a study of human character and action, or alternatively, ego and power. Prince Hamlet s own ego is festered by the crime against his father: a murder committed by Hamlet s ambitious uncle, Claudius, whose own ego has led him down a the path of a usurper. Yet, Shakespeare exposes that the pains of human ego are not morally equivalent between these two. Hamlet s pain and feelings of slight come at the potential truth that his father was murder. His ego is that of a wounded sense of self created out of the anguish he feels in his inability to take deliberate action against Claudius, driven out of the lack of evidence to truly ... • 12. The Contemporary Art of Atomic Vacation by Todd Schorr Description Atomic Vacation is an outstanding example of contemporary art. The painting was created with acrylic paints on a 6 x 7 foot canvas. Todd Schorr (American artist) painted Atomic Vacation in 2008 but, did not release it till the art show Designed for Extinction where he showcased his last decade of work. This painting caused a huge controversy with religious groups from the area around the Otis College of Art and Design in L.A. Todd Schorr is known as one of the best acrylic painters of our time. The way he blends colors, yet making each one stand out shows in great detail how he has mastered the art of acrylic painting. The color template used for this work was very wide, and that only further shows how great of an artist Schorr is. He also uses thin, fat, swirly, straight, and curved lines showing his skills of using the lines in a flowing way when it comes to the family and their camper; however, he also uses jagged lines in the horseman and demons to show a little intimidation. If you look closely at the ring around the mushroom cloud, you will notice that using a great detail of shadowing, there are demons and monsters swirling in chaos. This alone shows how Todd Schorr has mastered the art of acrylic painting with great detail. II. Analysis The subject of this painting is quite obvious. • 13. Compare And Contrast All In The Family 1.) How is this TV show different from shows of today? How is it similar? All in the Family differs from show of today in many ways. The many derogatory and racist terms, used primarily by Archie Bunker, would not be able to said in a script for a modern day television show. Words and terms used to describe people of any non American race or people in general would be seen as non politically correct. The common racism theme throughout the show would degrade the idea of American equality, which is a vital necessity in our growing nation. The show also mocked religion, referring to a burning cross and roasting marshmallows over it. This kind of comment would create a national eruption of offended individuals. Today s television shows are reviewed to portray a politically correct message, or a decline in reputation will occur for anyone involved with the show. While All in the Family greatly differs from modern American television shows, it also contains some similarities. The show portrayed an overall theme of how people talked and acted in their daily lives compared to a fictional or dramatized movie or television show. In the 1971 show premier, racial inequality was a common theme in American society. The way Archie talked about others, and even the disrespect to his son in law and mocking of his wife, was common. My Vocation After High School Serena Tim English 12 CP Mrs. Mennuti March 1, 2016 Obstetrics Nurse During the past four years people have asked me what I wanted to do for a vocation after high school. I always had an answer, but I always transmuted my vocation path. I kenned that I wanted to go into health care, but I was never genuinely certain on what field I wanted to go into. I am still skeptical on what I optate to do with the rest of my life, but I cerebrate this research has availed me to decide. There is one vocation in which I find intriguing which is obstetric nursing. An Obstetrics nurse avails medicos with the care of enceinte mothers afore and after birth. OB nurses customarily avail with preparing the distribution room, prepping the patients, preparing instruments, caring for a baby immediately after birth, expounding after birth care to incipient parents, and keeping track of family members and partners who are present afore and after the birth. Trained obstetric professionals are typically the ones that women turn to afore, during, and after their nine month journeys. Albeit obstetricians play an integral and incontrovertibly paramount role during this time in a woman s life, obstetric nurses are dedicated professionals that should not be overlooked. It is evident that I have always been very interested in the financials of our church and recently they have bothered me. It seems we have been frivolously spending money lately, and while it may appear like small amounts at the time, it all adds up. When financials are as tight as they currently are we must first worry about keeping the lights on. This was especially evident to me when we decided to spend money for Pride in the Park combined with the add we purchased. Finally, the recent decision to have our Saturday worship on the same day as an already existing church activity has really rubbed me the wrong way. Introduction Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. Linguistics can be broadly broken into three categories or subfields of study: language form, language meaning, and language in context. The earliest known activities in descriptive linguistics have been attributed to Panini around 500 BCE, with his analysis of Sanskrit in Ashtadhyayi. The first subfield of linguistics is the study of language structure, or grammar. This focuses on the system of ruled followed by the users of a language. In English and most other languages, such abbreviations historically had limited use, but they became much more common in the 20th century. Once a company has invested time and money to recruit and train a good employee, it is in their own best interest to retain that employee, to further develop and motivate him so that he continues to provide value to the organization. But, employers must also recognize and tend to what is in the best interest of their employees, if they intend to keep them. Population Growth On Environment And Development According to Ray (1998), every four days there is a net population increase of over one million people, and this exponential increase is greatly associated as being one of the main drivers of poverty and environmental degradation worldwide (Dasgupta, 1995), resulting in extreme stress on ecosystem services (ES), as well as human development. However, the extent to which future population growth will be a problem for both the environment and development is disputed amongst academics around four main models which link population, environment, and development together. In this essay, I will begin by exploring the vicious circle and Malthusian models and their views of population growth on environment and development, and contrast these with the Boserup and Cornucopian models using examples, before concluding. The exponential growth of global population has seen the per annum population increase go from taking 100 years between the 1st billion and 2nd billion to just 16 years between the 6th and 7th billion (Ray, 1998). The Malthusian (/ neo Malthusian) model developed by Thomas Malthus in 1798, as well as the Vicious Circle Model (VCM) both regard population growth as an extreme problem for both the environment and for the development of nations. The Malthusian theories links how as global population increases exponentially and food production remains linear, a critical point comes whereby shortages of food will result in large scale famine and death until population values ... Budgeting ensures the quality of care given to patients, what technologies the hospital has available, and how staff gets paid, determining raises and benefits. Waste of time and supplies are damaging to the budget. Compliance issues are what determine the standards of care given to patients. They also set standards for safety of both patients and staff. Non compliance can cause fines for the facility and loss of accreditation, which in turn causes losses of reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance. Safety issues can cause people to get hurt and, in turn, cause lawsuits for individuals and the organization. The cost of lawsuits and employee injuries can be very damaging to a budget. Healthcare workers also stand the chance of consequences in noncompliance issues. Fines, legal consequences, termination, and lose of professional licenses can occur. Both operational and capital budgets are made up by the CFO, Chief Financial Officer, and approved by the CEO, Chief Executive Officer, and the Board of Directors. • 24. The Importance Of The Monster In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein In Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, the Monster might be incorrectly named when most people think of monsters, they think of creatures that are inherently bad. The Monster, however, experienced emotions like any human did and was even repulsed at thoughts of death and destruction; events throughout the story shaped the Monster into the murder he became. The Monster also encountered books that developed his pessimistic worldview and hatred of humanity, including Ruins of Empires, Paradise Lost, The Sorrows of Young Werther, and Plutarch s Lives. The characters and events in these books were partially responsible for the Monster s belief that he would never be accepted by any human. If he had read some more optimistic works with characters he could relate to, perhaps he would have developed into a different character. Ruins of Empires is the first book that the Monster is exposed to; he listens as Felix reads and explains the book to Safie, who is visiting the cottage. Written by C.F. Volney, Ruins of Empires is a general history book that discusses the rise and fall of ancient empires as well as their numerous conflicts, and it gives the Monster his first impression of not only history, but humanity. The Monster states that he initially wondered why a human would ever kill its fellow; after listening to Ruins of Empires, he has a much better understanding of the true nature of humanity. As he listens, he wonders if humans are at once so powerful, so virtuous and magnificent, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the 1960s James Schlatter, a chemist working for the G.D Searle company, was working on creating a cure for stomach ulcers and accidently tasted it off of his fingers (Evangelista, n.d.). Little did he know that his cure would become a popular artificial sweetner in America. The chemical additive consists of, phenylalaine and aspartic acid, two amino acids, as well as methanol (Wells, 2011). Aspartame is popular for people who want to lose or maintain a healthy weight. All of the 74 studies claimed aspartame was safe and most of the ones who weren t supported financially mentioned issues with the safety of this additive (Zimmer Chiropractic, 2016). It shows how although many organizations support the chemical additive and many researches have been conducted and support aspartame, we should also consider analysises which prove aspartame is not safe. Aspartame is a type of excitotoxine, which excites the brain cells so much they quickly die. This chemical plays a major role in degenerative nervous system diseases such as Parkinson s and alzeihmer s (Lant, 2015). An experiment has also been conducted on seven infant monkeys. They injested milk and aspartame only. After 300 days, one of the seven monkeys died, five of the same seven monkeys had grad mal seizures. The results of this experiment were hidden from the FDA when G.D Searle submitted the inital applications (Evangelista, n.d.). Euripides Support of Women’s Rights Essay Euripides Support of Women s Rights One can hardly deny that in Euripides plays women are often portrayed as weak, uncertain, and torn between what they must do and what they can bring themselves to do. Other women appear to be the root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of characters and plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be very much against women. However, when looking back with current understanding of what Euripides was doing at the time, armed with knowledge of plot devices and Socratic philosophy, this argument simply does not hold up. To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is necessary. Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination of the two classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art deities (Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure, the molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the more plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the conception. The Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps induced by a god or sleep, while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art influences. The Apollonian influence is seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance. The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by the exclusive nature of each performance (Nietzsche 2). The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way it had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

DNS contains all IP addresses and name of the websites in its database in the form of records called resource records and are placed in the hierarchal manner. DNS spoofing is a similar type of MITMA when compared to ARP cache poisoning. DNS spoofing is a technique used by hackers to provide false DNS information to the host while accessing a website. When users try to gain access to a particular website, a request will be first sent out the local DNS server for the IP address of the website which the user wants to access. Once it receives the request the DNS server does a search in the database to find the particular IP address of the website, once if identifies the ip address of the website it immediately send a response to the user browser regarding the IP information.
