EMPLOYEE INNOVATION PLAN 2
Microsoft is the house of innovation and a benchmark to which other organizations can look up to. Microsoft was able to achieve the current position in the industry through its continuous innovation and creativity. Behind the constant innovation are the employee's which are committed to creating new product and services which could serve customers more efficiently. Human capital is an asset but if the human capital is innovative along with skilled and learned then this is a golden asset. Among these skilled and innovative employees emerge intrapreneurs who changed the fate of the organizations.
Innovative practices
Organizations can promote innovation among their employees by building an open and flat organizational structure where employees are not bounded in bureaucratic and hierarchal levels. Study shows that creativity decreased in employees when they are too many restrictions. The human mind thinks openly when the atmosphere is free. Organizations like Microsoft has used their organizational structure and culture to promote innovation and creativity in their employees. Employees are appreciated and appraised for innovation and creativity and they are not restricted to a connectional thought process. In such an environment, employees have been able to think openly and communicate their ideas openly which has helped the organization reach its current position (Newlands, 2018).
Intrapreneurship competency
Intrapreneurship competency can be built among the workforce through strategizing the innovation-oriented approach. Employees should feel motivated for challenging the status-quo in thinking and break free from conventional methods and processes. They can get this motivation from their work environment. Organizations can build intrapreneurial competency by conducting training and development programs that help the employee to think out of the box and keep them motivated. Furthermore, the organizational environment should be supportive of intrapreneurs. They should feel motivated and inspired. There should be a proper recognition and reward system for innovative employees and especially the intrapreneurs so that they do not feel the need to leave their organization and start implementing their ideas on their own.
Identification of intrapreneurs
It is crucial for companies to find the most brilliant minds of the workforce and then invest in them more to help them reach their full potential. The organization can identify the intrapreneurs by keeping a check on which employee has submitted the most unique ideas and check the performance of its employees through training ad developments. In training, employees are assigned to test tasks where are checked in the simulated environment. The performance can point to the intrapreneurs which can be further groomed for their talent (Somers, 2018).

long term business benefits of integrated dataStrategic thinking .pdfanandinternational01
long term business benefits of integrated data:
Strategic thinking is a powerful leadership tool that gives organizations the foresight and insight
needed to succeed in the long term, especially when applied throughout the organization.
The Power of Strategic Thinking
There is power in strategic thinking and it is available to everyone. When organizations begin to
think strategically, they gain:
* Insight, or problem solving skills, that help them intuitively make sense of chaos in their
environment.
* The ability to see emerging conditions that could potentially provide long-term competitive
advantage.
* The skill of visualizing, interpreting and scanning the environment for information about the
organization’s present and future.
* The ability to identify new market opportunities and create real solutions that advance
business.
* The ability to understand the importance of relationship building and its interconnectedness
with business goals.
Insight and Foresight
In their article, Managing strategic planning paradigms in China, Liu and Roos (2006) explain
what happened in 2005 when the Chinese government became the third largest trading nation in
the world. Foreign investors who wanted to trade in the Chinese market had to give up partial
ownership of their companies. They also had to give up the right to offer insight or foresight
about the future of their companies. Many companies agreed to do this because they realized that
they did not know their new environment and needed to depend on others to build the necessary
relationships to achieve success in China. Now that these investors are familiar with the Chinese
markets and culture, they are causing what Andrew Grove calls “a strategic inflection point” or a
fundamentally big change in their business environment. Having regained their freedom, it will
be those companies who exercise their strategic thinking muscles that will succeed in the long
run.
Everyone can be a Strategic Thinker
Many organizations do not involve all levels of employees in strategic thinking. They believe
that regular employees are not capable of strategic thinking and that only executives can
visualize, interpret and scan the environment for information about the organization’s present
and future. How wrong they are!
Another reason why organizations don’t employ strategic thinking is that company hiring
processes are often flawed. People are hired because of who they know and the agenda they are
bringing to the table. This means that valuable strategic thinking skills such as insight and
foresight are overlooked and replaced with nepotism and government control.
Finding New Opportunities
What does your organization stand to gain from teaching everyone to become a strategic thinker?
Another example of insight came from the mind of William Coleman. Coleman, a 58 year old
billionaire and former co-founder of BEA Systems, has created a new company called Cassatt
(Lyons, 2006). He came up with the simple concept of the .

In the current age of revolutionary change, an organization is as healthy as its sustainability prowess. Today’s company’s unlike past generations, operate in complicated and fast-paced regulated environment. There is an increased need to satisfy current stakeholders, safeguard future generations, and optimally use natural resources. It is in this breadth the Purple Cloud Company thirsts to speed up their product development, widen its market share, and seize new opportunities. The company’s sustainability strategy is acquisition and expansion as they aim to increase value above $100 million and increase the organizations stock price above $71.
Acquisition is a strategic measure implemented by the Purple Cloud Company as a corporate sustainability resolution. The company purchased ABC-Tech, and the acquisition allowed the parent company to intertwine its services with the acquired developed organization. The purchase yielded goodwill for the company’s stakeholders, provided a competitive edge, and reflected positively on the organizations financial bottom line. By acquiring ABC-Tech, which is a company that offers a simple technology platform, allows the organization to reduce customer support costs from $7,000 to $6,000, increase ABC-Tech revenue from $24 million to $48 million, increase revenue from $70 million to $100 million, and increases the profitability index from 17.2% to 18.7% market share, this will attract talent, and drive innovation. (Spears, 2012).
Additionally, the Purple Cloud organization should deploy an expansion strategy. This step will expand their market share, especially if the home market is saturated by their products. This is an inevitable venture given the prospect of it promoting access to new territories that will boost sales volume, allow diversification thus reducing risk exposure, facilitate access to better talent pools, build strong public relations, bring forth a competitive advantage, and most importantly provide opportunities for direct foreign investment.
Management Theories
Today’s organizations are comprised of individuals who manage the employee pool based on the science of humanistic approaches, which has evolved from the authoritarian mindset of the past generation. Purple Cloud has benefited from various visionary methods of operating sustainable companies commonly referred to as, management theories. A primary management theory is classical theory. The use of data and measurements allows the Purple Cloud management team to observe and evaluate business functions in numerical terms. The quantitative focus on the operations, and the production of services allows the company to achieve informed decision-making, and effective profitability.
Domestically, the company has a larger market share, and this motivates the organization to locate emerg.
Give your employees freedom within a frameworkAlex Clapson
Imagine starting your first day of work at a new company. During your on boarding, someone called the Chief Culture Officer (CCO), tells you the usual things such as: employees live our company values and purpose; the company wants people to take risks and be responsible for the outcomes; it’s okay to fail, just learn from the mistake; blah, blah, blah. At the end of thirty minutes, with semi-glazed over eyes, you stand up to leave the meeting room. Just as you are about to go out the door, the CCO stops you and says, “Oh, I also forgot to mention that we have no dress code or vacation policy. Just wear clothes and take the time you need to re-energize.”

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
