Essay On Native American Culture
Does everyone comprehend enough of their own culture identity? Every culture has their own identity.
We all have the same human race. However, for me, even though USA is one of the biggest countries
in the world, it s hard to believe USA is a multicultural country, which has many people who came
from overseas to the US to represent their own culture in there. There are Native American culture,
Mexican culture, Chinese culture, Korean culture etc. and there is no way to count all the cultures
which exist in the US because there are just a lot of them. As an international student who study in the
US came from overseas, there are a lot to see and learn in here. Native American culture is the culture
that I heard before but knows nothing about it until I started learning that in English class this year. I
know nothing about Native American and their culture. I never know what do they look like, I thought
they just look like the white American because Native American Indian is also American ? After I get
in touch a little bit with Native American, they look kind, friendly, willing to help each other, they are
not what I thought who is scary and creepy. Furthermore, I understand that this is the differences
between cultures identity. Even though we are not look alike, speak alike, all people in the world have
the same human race. I feel excited to know about Native American Indian s lifestyle because it is
always interesting to know about others culture. Even though some argue

Compare And Contrast Two Cave Paintings
In my I chose to compare two cave paintings from the paleolithic period, The first cave in called
Lascaux, and the second cave called Altamira. As we know that the Paleolithic time period is from
30,000 BC to 10,000 BC. The most common theme in cave painting during that time period was like a
bunch of a large animals such as bison, horses, cows, deers, lions, birds, and aurochs. In those two
pieces of cave painting I found alots of common stuff like the animals and the story of the painting as
well but their are some differences like the purpose of the paintings, so in the first cave painting which
is the Lascaux Their was a story behind this painting which is telling us about the wars during that
time period; in the second cave painting which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lascaux is a complex cave with several areas (Hall of the Bulls, Passage gallery), it had been opened
for the public after the world war two, and it closed to the public in 1963, it contains about 600
paintings and 1,500 engravings (ART HISTORY, VOLUME 1, PAGE 10). Lascaux became too
popular in France because the visitors brought heat, humidity, exhaled carbon dioxide , and some
other contaminants. The Lascaux painters had been drawn cows, bulls, horses, and deers. Along the
rock one scene was discovered in a remote settings on a wall at the bottom on a stone lamp and spears.
This scene is actually weird because it is telling a story which is the human who is suppose to be the
hunter, was greatly simplified in form but recongnizably male with a head of bird or wearing a mask of
a bird s head had been lying on the ground, and the painting was also showing that there were a big
bison appears above him. The bison has been emboweled and dead. As well as on the left side there
was a rhinoceros running off (ART HISTORY, VOLUME 1, PAGE

Deserving to Die Essay
Robert Lee makes many arguments to argue justification of capital punishment in his article,
Deserving to Die. Some of the stronger ones involve the deterrent effect of the use of the death
penalty, why the cost of execution is so high, and how the use of the death penalty increases overall
public safety. In Lee s first argument, he argues that the use of capital punishment helps reduce overall
crime by acting as a deterrent to crime. In at least one respect, capital punishment is unquestionably a
deterrent, as Lee puts it, It simply cannot be contested that a killer, once executed, is forever deterred
from killing again (142). Of course, a deceased killer can never kill again, but the effect that death
penalty has on others, potential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second argument Lee makes involves not whether the cost of capital punishment is actually really
huge, more than it costs to sentence someone to life without the possibility of parole, but as to why the
cost is so high and what should be done about it. Abolitionists of capital punishment always cited as a
reason to abolish it all together. But Lee notes that, They prefer to ignore, however, the extent to
which they themselves are responsible for the interminable legal maneuvers that run up the costs...
(144). Lee argues that the major causes of the high cost are the redundant, endless appeals, time
consuming delays, bizarre court rulings, and legal histrionics by defense attorneys, after the trial and
conviction of the criminal (i.e. post conviction proceedings). Lee provided several examples of cases
that were delayed again and again for various reasons, many with the convicted on death row years
before finally being executed. Willie Darden had already survived three death warrants, and had been
scheduled to be electrocuted by the state of Florida in September of 1985 for a murder he was
convicted of committing back in 1973. Darden s defense attorney attempted to get the Supreme Court
to stay his execution until a formal appeal could be filed, with a last minute emergency appeal. The
court voted against the stay, so his lawyer, attempted to get the court to technically transform his
emergency appeal into a formal appeal.

Compare And Contrast Donald Trump And Hillary Clinton
Compare and Contrast of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton
This years Presidential election is one of a kind with the outspoken Republican candidate Donald
Trump and the experienced Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The paper will talk about these two
presidential candidates very different background stories, which have helped shape their views on how
the United States should be ran. Next, the paper will compare and contrast the important concerns that
the presidential candidates have and their views on how to run the United States. These two
presidential candidates differ on many important topics, for example; plan on education, immigration,
and tax plans. Finally, the paper will discuss the views of the presidential election from the upcoming

carried interest tax, and opposing the Trans Pacific Partnership. Every other part of their plans are
extremely different. Trump would like to reduce taxes especially to working and middle income
americans. He will make certain that the wealthy americans are paying their fair share. He will make
child care more affordable by reducing the cost and allowing families to withdraw the cost of
childcare from their taxes. Trump wants to eliminate special interests loopholes, manufacture a more
competitive business tax rate, and rejuvenate our economy. Hillary would like to reestablish fairness
to our tax codes by ensuring that the wealthiest americans do not pay a lower tax rate than
hardworking middle class citizens. She will abolish loopholes such as the ones that create a private tax
system, conversions that reward companies for moving overseas, and loopholes that allow Wall Street
money supervisors to pay lower rates than some middle class families. Hilary would like to see
smaller businesses grow by cutting the taxes on small businesses to allow them to grow and hire more

Business Plan Proposal
Business Plan Proposal
Introduction
The development of start ups is an important business activity that requires effort, time, and financial
resources. It is important to correctly establish the resources that are required by opening a business in
order to be able to successfully reach the objectives established for businesses in each situation. In this
case, the business plan refers to developing a restaurant that focuses on providing meals that are based
on organic foods.
The benefits of organic foods are well known. There are numerous studies in the field that have
identified the benefits that organic foods have on individuals health. There are also numerous studies
that reveal the effects that fast food has on people. Certain governments in different companies
develop campaigns intended to increase awareness on such issues, and to modify the eating habits of
people in these countries. However, it is difficult to reach this objective when customers have
numerous fast food restaurants to choose from. These restaurants provide fast service at smaller prices,
and this is what most customers want.
Therefore, it is important that food providers participate in campaigns developed by governments in
their attempt to improve eating habits. Restaurants that provide healthy food have a better image on
the market in comparison with fast food restaurants. But health food is considered to be more
expensive. This refers to higher production costs, increased costs of

Grant Proposal Requirements
Applying the strategies for writing proposals studied this week, I will be comparing the grant proposal
requirements for three separate foundations. The organizations being investigated are the W.K.
Kellogg, the Sherman, and Mellon Foundation. Furthermore, I will proceed by reviewing the specific
needs for each proposal distinguishing which elements remained the same across each foundation.
Moreover, I continue by noting any changes that must be made to the strategy used to produce a
proposal. Finally, I present any challenges that may arise from utilizing an online proposal process
versus a paper based process.
Foundations and Requirements
WKKF
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation was established in 1930 by the cereal pioneer Will Keith Kellogg

Each organization held different proposal requirements, but there were several similarities. While the
elements varied, the standard ones were projected goals, project summary, budget plan, qualifications,
past accomplishments, and background information. Two of the foundations expected grant seekers to
fill out an application; only then would they be invited to submit a proposal. There were no significant
changes I found to be necessary when applying for a proposal online. In regards to strategy, I stated
that proposal writers should first make sure they are a good fit for the grant. Secondly, I suggested the
proposal be planned out by a team to make sure no topics are missed as well as for editing purposes. I
liked that the foundations required an application before the proposal, as it helps the grant writer
prepare for the real

Is Batman A Hero
Batman was created by Bob Kane and is regarded as one of the best comic book characters. Over the
years he has been known for taking on impossible odds for any human to face, often winning each
time, but can he really beat anyone?
As much as I love Batman comics, movies, and TV series, too many fans have this absurd notion that
he can beat anyone if given prep time. Granted, Batman is one of those type of heroes who has the
ability to outsmart a multitude of villains or other heroes using strategy, detective skills, martial arts,
and technology, but even with all this in his favor there are many characters he will never be able to
beat who are either superior to him in these areas or have way too much power for him to compensate
for. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In reality, Batman only beat the man of steel because he had access to some thing he knew would
diminish his natural power, making him weak in the process. (also a result of the pain) So, technically
his win doesn t count. Not much strategy was needed for what he did in this fight. Depending on how
you play it, anyone could beat Superman when he s like that. If Superman did not have Kryptonite as a
weakness, the dark knight would have been killed or would be left with no choice but to escape. In a
similar scenario, if we were to replace the man of steel with another such as Galactus, or Thanos,
Batman would easily lose this fight because they simply have no exploitable weakness he could use to
beat them. No amount of preparation, technology, or human physicality can compete with a being who
is light years beyond average or Olympic levels of power, specifically godlike entities. Another point
worth noting is Bats track record against foes smarter and more skilled then him. He has been beaten
many times by Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke, Lady Shiva, and a few others throughout his career
which he has never outsmarted or beaten in a fight.
As he stands, Batman is a symbol, he embodies many of the good qualities as well as physical and
even mental abilities we can all strive to achieve in reality, but with good

What are derivatives?
Derivatives, such as futures or options, are financial contracts which derive their value from a spot
price, which is called the
underlying . For example, wheat farmers may wish to enter into a contract to sell their harvest at a
future date to eliminate the risk of a change in prices by that date. Such a transaction would take place
through a forward or futures market. This market is the

All the futures contracts are settled in cash at NSE.
Options : An Option is a contract which gives the right, but not an obligation, to buy or sell the
underlying at a stated date and at a stated price. While a buyer of an option pays the premium and
buys the right to exercise his option, the writer of an option is the one who receives the option
premium and therefore obliged to sell/buy the asset if the buyer exercises it on him.
Options are of two types Calls and Puts options :
Calls give the buyer the right but not the obligation to buy a given quantity of the underlying asset, at
a given price on or before a given future date.
Puts give the buyer the right, but not the obligation to sell a given quantity of underlying asset at a
given price on or before a given future date. All the options contracts are settled in cash.
Further the Options are classified based on type of exercise. At present the Exercise style can be
European or American.
American Option American options are options contracts that can be exercised at any time upto the
expiration date. Options on individual securities available at NSE are American type of options.
European Options European options are options that can be exercised only on the expiration

Capital Punishment And Deterrence In The Criminal Justice...
Imagine being sentenced to death by your government; the institution that is supposed to protect your
rights, and then waiting years for the killing blow to land. Imagine the constant fear and anxiety you
would endure; nobody deserves that torment. The death penalty is still legal in many parts of America
and dozens of people are killed every year. In Canada, the death penalty has been abolished since 1976
and there is little support for reinstatement. This is not the case in America, while many states have
stopped using capital punishment there are still thirty one that continue to follow the practice. These
states claim that it is cheaper than imprisoning someone for life, that it acts as a deterrent, and is a just
punishment for atrocious ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Capital punishment is not a fair or equal penalty, depending on who you are or where you live will
dramatically affect the outcome of a sentence. First, race is a huge factor and capital punishment is
fraught with racism. A 1998 study found that African Americans were 38% more likely to receive the
death penalty in Philadelphia than other races. (Rust Tierney) Not only are African Americans more
likely to receive the death penalty but 83% of cases that do receive it involve white victims. This is
true despite the fact that only 50% of murder victims are white. (Rust Tierney) These statistics do not
indicate a fair and unbiased system, people are equipped with their own prejudices and consciously or
not these leanings have created a disparity in the justice structure. The system is also biased against
the poor. Individuals with little to no wealth can not access the high cost, well equipped representation
the rich can. Over 99% of people sentenced to capital punishment are indigent and are often poorly
represented. There is a plethora of other issues that arise with the death penalty, the sentencing is
inconsistent, dependent on the prosecutors and judges in the specific case, and the mentally ill are
condemned despite laws implemented to prevent this. This leads to the next point, errors. The most
dismaying aspect of the death penalty

Correlation Between Motivation And Achievement
Brown and Wahlberg designed a study in which they intended to demonstrate an independent causal
relationship between motivation and achievement (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). They purported to have
devised a study with a randomized assignment of students to conditions eliciting different degrees of
motivation (Brown Wahlberg, 1993, p. 134). The question for the researchers remained what is the
effect of experimentally manipulated motivational conditions on elementary math scores (Brown
Wahlberg, 1993, p. 133). The study remains a randomized quantitative mixed methods quasi
experimental study of 406 heterogeneously grouped students in third, fourth and sixth through eighth
grades in Chicago Public Schools (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). Three schools were selected to participate
in the study. The student populations in each school were described as lower middle working class and
predominantly Hispanic and African American (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). Respective of each school,
two classes were randomly selected out of each grade level and randomly assigned to experimental
groups. The participant groups were administered the Mathematics Concept subtest of the Iowa Basic
Skills (ITBS) 1978, Levels 9 14. The ITBS was selected for its high reliability rating of 0.85 and its
correlation with school curriculum (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). One group received standard testing
instructions while the other group received an additional set of motivational instructions read from a
script.

Ambiguity In Shakespeare s Rosencrantz And Guildenstern...
Hamlet, perhaps the most famous Shakespearean play, is one that has been performed and interpreted
in many ways. Shakespeare often wrote using multiple meanings to add ambiguity to an already stellar
plot. This caused modern culture to make many versions of Hamlet. The most interesting spin off is
the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard. He created an intriguing story
while addressing important philosophical questions. The biggest question in presented in both Hamlet
and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is the meaning of life and death. Without a purpose,
minor characters are purposed to carry out the plans of the royalty in the play. These minor characters
and royalty all died. Shakespeare uses the royalty in Denmark to symbolize death. The royal family
represents power in the play and the king represents the peak of power in Denmark. But the King was
the first character in Hamlet to die. Murdered by his own brother, the King showed himself to Hamlet
in ghost form. From the beginning of the play, death is already introduced as a major theme.
Shakespeare purposefully introduces death into the book using the king. He uses this to link Denmark
s most elite family with death, specifically murder. To Shakespeare, royalty is filled with certain
characteristics that make death imminent. Claudius killed his brother out of envy for his power. This
murder is the reason Hamlet seeks vengeance upon Claudius. While Hamlet seeks vengeance,
Shakespeare uses

Case Of 1928-Olmstead V. United States
1928 Olmstead v.United States Supreme court rules federal investigators can wiretap into suspects
phones legally, and use those conversations as evidence. Roy Olmstead, a suspected bootlegger, was
bugged in the basement of his office, and also in the streets surrounding his home. He was later
convicted based on that evidence. An appeal was raised on the grounds that the wiretapped data
violated the defendant s Fourth and Fifth Amendment. It was decided that the wiretapped data did not
violate the Fifth Amendment, because he was not forced to say anything incriminating, and did not
violate the Fourth Amendment because wiretapping is not considered search and seizure (which would
require a physical search of a person s belongings or possessions.) This event is important because it
decided that wiretapping was legal and did not infringe on the Fourth or Fifth Amendment rights of
criminals, effectively allowing wiretapping to be used in investigation and trial as evidence. In
addition, it defined your Fourth Amendment rights to only apply to physical materials or properties of
yours, not conversations or other non tangible things, and said that since wiretapped individuals were
not forced to discuss incriminating information, the Fifth Amendment protection against self
incrimination did not apply. It set a major precedent that would stand for nearly forty years, when it
was overturned in Katz v. United States. 1945 The predecessor to the NSA receives copies of every

Analyzing Old Spice Essay
Analyzing Old Spice Advertisements these days use many different techniques in order to sell a
product. The Old Spice Company uses several methods to convey a message and sell their product.
Old Spice commercials are well known for using the famous Isaiah Mustafa, wrapped in just a towel,
to talk about the company s product. While Mustafa walks and talks, the background and setting of the
commercial changes and the actor never loses eye contact. The product is always shown throughout
the entire commercial. By combining all the elements of gender stereotyping, sexual imagery, and
racial innuendoes, Old Spice is able to convey a message to sell their hygienic products. When it

The sexual appeal in the Old Spice commercials is very evident. Throughout the entire ad, the central
character does not have any clothing on except for a towel. Also, the undying eye contact, never
ending perfect posture and the same central location of the bathroom also has an equal sexual appeal.
Isaiah Mustafa is very buff, tall, and has the ultimate sexy voice. His eyes, stance, lack of clothing and
voice draw you in like a moth to a light. The overall appeal to the character is unquestionable, you
cannot help but stare. If you cannot help but pay attention to a commercial, then you will also pay
attention to the product being addressed (citation 2). In this way, the company is able to grab your
attention and keep it long enough to get their product out there.
The racial innuendo in the Old Spice commercial is probably the least evident technique used to draw
potential customers in. There is no denying that the main character is African American. Without the
use of this particular actor and his race, the commercial just would not be the same. Usually in any
voice over or previously recorded advertisement, there is a black man speaking. They know how to
enunciate the right words and have the voice to go along with it (citation 1). This might be a racial
stereotype but it works for this particular commercial really well. His voice draws you in, captivates
you and makes you want to listen. Plus, with his dark skin, his eyes pop out even

Examples Of Apitalism In Charles Dickens Great Expectations
apitalism in Charles Dickens s Great Expectations: A Critique Isam Shihada
Introduction: In England, the years spanning 1780 1840 witnessed rapid economic changes, which
propelled English society decisively towards industrialization. (Lloyd Jones Lewis, 2014) The
Industrial Revolution (1) transformed England from an agricultural to an industrial society where the
machine had replaced manual labor. This may have led to the rise of mass unemployment and the
exodus of workers from villages to cities in search of economic opportunities to survive. This also
accounts for the increasing number of slums along the Thames River and the exploitation of women
and children at the factories for extremely low wages. (Calmon, 1994) The Industrial ... Show more

. . all of one piece and consistently truthful as none of his other books are. (1937,p.xii) That period
witnessed the growth of capitalism accompanied by cycles of booms and drawbacks. Dickens Great
Expectations refers to the manipulation of the bourgeois employers, assisted by the government,
against the working class. They were not only used as machines by their employers, but were also
victimized by them. The working class s exploitation stemmed solely from materialistic purposes,
which resulted in a series of destructions such as the transformation of innocent characters into evil
ones. Within this context, Peter Childs and Nicolas Tredell argue that Dickens s Great Expectations
renders a world in which the individual human freedom and fulfillment is frustrated by what are
usually promulgated as society s great expectations, and those values usually associated with progress,
civilization and modernity. (2006,p.167) Charles Dickens harshly reviles the capitalist system that
would create and transform human beings into greedy creatures.(Houston,1992) He sheds light on the
impact of the Industrial Revolution and its capitalist system in transforming characters into pitiless,
selfish people devoid of emotions and on how it destroys all ties of affection and love and nourishes
feelings of snobbishness, selfishness, and

Andy Pope of Pop Warhol
The American artist, Andy Warhol, was one of the major influential artists in the late 20th century,
during the pop art movement. One of his art pieces is called Details of Renaissance Paintings (Sandro
Botticelli, Birth of Venus, 1482) made in 1984 and currently located at The Andy Warhol Museum in
his hometown. For all of his art works (printmaking, painting, cinema, photography), Warhol gives a
whole new different perspective and meaning to society, by giving a personality to his work. The
cultural icon once said, In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.
(QuotationsPage.com, 1994). I believe this is true, because no matter the object or celebrity icon,
Warhol gave that chance to everyone and anything that was popular.
His birth name was Andrew Warhola Jr., later changing it to Andy Warhol shortly after moving to New
York. He was born on August 6, 1928 and raised in his hometown of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He
passed away at 58 years old, from post surgery in New York. His parents were Julia and Ondrej
Warhola, who immigrated to the United States in 1914, from Slovakia after their parents deceased.
Being the youngest of three siblings, he grew up in a different lifestyle than his siblings. At six years
old, Andy was diagnosed with Sydenham s chorea, where he was restricted to his bed for several
months, however he was entertained with his mom artistic skills, teaching him how to draw, trace, and

Family And Family Analysis
The institution of a family can be viewed as the backbone of society by having a major role in the
functioning of society. It is considered to have many essential functions like reproduction, socializing
children, providing care and support, regulating sexual relationships, etc. Creating an infant is the
beginning of how a family is significant in the functioning of society. The family then provides safety
and economic stability for the child. The social norms, behaviors, and culture are then taught and
learned by the child through exposure from peers and the environment. As the child continues to grow,
the family is constantly giving the child love and support while the child learns his or her self identity.
The cycle of socialization, passing along culture, and providing guidance of self purpose then
continues from generation to generation. Families were essentially the main economic unit of society,
however, that was before industrialization. Depending on the society and culture, the roles within the
family can vary based on gender, class, and race. After industrialization, it was believed that men were
the ones that should earn the money away from the household while the women took care of their
children and house. Margaret L. Andersen and Taylor F. Howard explains, Many men are now more
engaged in housework and child care than was trust in the past, although women still provide the vast
majority of this labor (Andersen Howard, 2014, p.279). However, women that were

Confessionalist Characteristics Of Allen Ginsberg And The...
Beat Generation Research Paper During the 1950s, many different literary movements came to the
spotlight. Two such movements were Confessionalism and Beat poetry. There are many
commonalities between these movements, and often, authors and works from the Beat movement
incorporate various Confessionalist characteristics. Allen Ginsberg, one such author, combined both
Confessionalism and Beat poetry in a variety of his works, including Howl and Kaddish. The
Confessionalist aspects of Allen Ginsberg and his works, such as Howl, were heavily outweighed by
the Beat aspects in his work. The Beat poetry movement began in the 1950s due to the tense political
climate and heavily conformative society. During this time, America was a policing ... Show more

In addition to adopting peaceful religions, such as Buddhism, Beat poets attempted to connect with
their spiritual state of being by engaging in drug usage and meditating.
To distinguish themselves in literature, they picked at the flaws they perceived in romanticism,
modernist poetry, and the New Criticism. They abandoned the typical form and structure of formalist
poetry. Instead, they commonly followed the footsteps of Walt Whitman and his free verse. The free
verse allowed them to sync their words with a musical flow, especially that of jazz. In addition to free
verse, the Beat poetry contained unregulated self expression. The Beats believed that true emotions
were expressed in the moment, and often would not edit their works. They also openly discussed
sexual experimentation, specifically that directed to the gay culture. Beats also wrote about their usage
of drugs, and its ability to help perceive the truth. Their work portrayed a belief that the arts
transcended mortality.
Allen Ginsberg was born on June 3, 1926 to a schizophrenic mother. His experience with his mother
heavily affected him, as evident in his portrayal of mental illness in much of his work. Considered one
of the founders of Beat poetry, Ginsberg brought attention to the movement with his performance of
his poem Howl. Howl reflected the free verse and jazz components common to the movement. It also
reflected Jack Kerouac and the Old

Reflection Paper On Lacrosse
I wake up, grab my lacrosse stick, ball, and grab the net and started to shoot. I play of my state
lacrosse team we have our first tournament this weekend and I don t wanna be the reason that we lose.
I was originally a D pole for my city team but my coach for state thought otherwise. I could run the
field in 20 seconds flat. At least that is what my coach said. I started out the day with a couple fakes
and spin moves nothing hard just the kind of stuff you need to know when you want to start. My sister
decides to come and play me in a 1v1 (me and my sister are competitive) I accept so we go to the
plains across the street I bring the net along with us. I just school her badly 10:0 she challenged me at
my own game 1st mistake.
We head back every day I have lacrosse practice at 3:30 until 5:30 that is the best practice ever
because all we do is get in the middle and get on top both 1v1 games against your own teammate. I
used to play D pole like I said but now it is easier to use a short pole. I go through my day of 3 hours
in the morning of practice at the plains across the street and hanging with friends doing more lacrosse.
Then it becomes 3 and I have to leave for lacrosse so I grab my gear bag and longer leaving my long
pole there.
We reach the area of where I practice I m usually the first one there but everyone is ready and geared
up and warming up I was late for the first time in my life my dad is so mad. Get out there Jax you re
late I forgot that practice was early today it started at 2. My heart sank I was late so I wind sprint out
of the car and all I hear is there s Jax. Coach is saying I m late so as quick as I can I strap up my
helmet chest and shoulder pads and gloves and ran faster than I ever have before out there. Today is
the day the first day of the tournament all these teams look like the would be tough but who knows
except for the team itself. The thing about state tournaments is that the teams that you played and beat
could have gotten a whole lot better so with a lacrosse state tournament you have to stay of your game
and get better no matter if you re a starter and always will be a starter. As we head to our group of

Neandertal? Neandertal, the scientific name of which is Homo Neandertalensis, existed roughly
between 200,000 and 30,000 years ago. They lived in Europe eastward to Central Asia. In fact, in the
past, scientists always thought that Neandertals were more likely brutal and stupid apes. However,

He also knows that the Neandertal s name is Charlie. Gradually, Shepherd finds that Charlie wants to
call back his family and tribe through the Beedha: a mythical bird. Shephard decides to help Charlie to
escape because other group members want to re freeze Charlie to do more research. In an ice shelf,
Charlie grabs one land ski of an aircraft because he thinks that the aircraft is Beedha. Eventually, he
loosens his hand and falls from the sky to seek the redemption. First, in this movie, the Neandertal
dresses in animal skins, has a stone necklace and carries a little bag with bones and a charm that is
made by flax and rock. Also, Charlie makes a new charm and some wood spears by using obsidian
knife when he sits beside the bonfire. All those information means that the Neandertal could make
stone tools and use it to hunt or make other different material tools. In Clark Spencer Larsen s book
Our Origins: Discovering Physical Anthropology, he states, Late Neandertals...produce stone tools that
were modern in many respects and certainly as complex as those produced by early modern humans.

Final Rough Draft
The Meaning of Life
In the world we live money, interest and pleasure are words more powerful than happiness. Not that
they are not providing happiness but seems to be the only way to find a happy life. By happiness
people these day mean success, joy in success. When asking people what they want in their life to be
happy the majority respond a lot of money . The fact that those words take such important place in our
lives makes a massive change in our society and our civilization around the world. Money is now the
most important factor in our lives in many aspects. But does money really provide happiness?
Since we are living in a society we create social contract to divide and share task, responsibilities and
live in cohesion all together. To value this form of labor division, we create money, first it was only
exchange of production between laborers and later it became the dollars we all know. For this
evolution and perpetuation, we can see the impact of money on the population, The first form of
money was shared food, which for many centuries preceded the evolution of coinage . (Needleman
152) Many of our habits and our everyday materials have somehow a connection with the holy
religion, for example the first coin were printed on one side a sacred religious symbol and one the
other side a more regular symbol or an authority symbol. As Needleman say money at first was
symbolized the loving giving and taking

As a result they are resistant to change, with the fear of not being educated on new skills and
behaviors (Barotol,2007). Self Interest are employees resistant to change when the realization of levels
of power, money, prestige, job security, and personal convenience are on the line. Resistance can also
be based on simply not understanding why a change has become necessary. An example could be
when an employee who does not use social media does not understand why a Facebook page would be
a good idea for a company. At times the employees really do not understand what the managers
motives are so they tend to question why these changes are taking place (Baack,2012). Kotter s Eight
Step Plan. John kotter invented a second approach builds on Lewin s three step model and adds detail
(Kotter, 1996). According to Kotter, change involves 1.Establishing a sense of urgency and a
compelling reason to make the change involves Forming a power coalition to lead the change,
Creating a new vision with supporting strategies, Communicating the vision to all employees,
Empowering others to act on the vision, including encouraging risk taking and creativity, Planning for
and rewarding short term wins that move toward the new vision, Consolidating improvements,
reassessing changes, and making adjustments and Reinforcing the changes by showing the
relationship to organization success. Whichever approach is used, managers should remember that
change is often an unsettling process. Expect

Analysis Of The Virgin Suicides
The Virgin Suicides narrates the story of the Lisbon family and the multiple crises they face,
particularly acute suicidal risk of all five daughters. The family consists of the father, Ronald, the
mother, and five sisters, Cecilia, Lux, Bonnie, Mary, and Therese. The family experiences both major
and minor crisis event throughout the film, ultimately ending with all five daughters completing
suicide. While there were numerous individuals experiencing crisis, the neighborhood boys, the entire
Lisbon family, and several other minor characters, this review will focus specifically on crisis
incidents that surround the mother and two daughters, Cecilia and Lux. This analysis will utilize the
Double ABC X model.
Cecilia
Cecilia is the youngest of the Lisbon daughters, being only thirteen. She is slight, thin and plain. She
is quirky, as evident by her wearing the same wedding style dress throughout her entire appearance in
the film, as well as precocious and introverted. She is an environmentalist, as evident by her reaction
to the condemning of tree in her front yard, her grief about the fact that a species of frog was added to
the endangered species list, and her overall fascination with nature discussed in her diary. Cecilia
appears alienated from her family, perhaps misunderstood. In regards to Cecilia s initial crisis that led
to her suicide attempt, by means of exsanguination through wrist cutting, it is unclear as to what the
stressor event may have been or what her

A Day At 07.45 Using A Code
On 30th December 2015 I was on duty. I reported to the reception at 07.45 using a code at the device
from the entrance as I am working in a Care Home where the residents suffer from Dementia and due
to their condition related with memory loss, they need to be protected so that they can not leave and
not be able to remember the way back in accordance with SOVA legislation. I used my fog to clock in
and also signed the staff book so that in case of fire the place would need to be evacuated.
Then I changed my clothes and put on my uniform and my black shoes, put all my belongings into my
locker including my phone, tied my hair up and checked for my uniform to look nice and to have my
badge with my name on it; all in accordance with company Policies and Procedures.
I washed my hands and at 7.55 I went to the floor ready for work. I have checked the board to see
which unit I was allocated to. I was working on Thames Unit and my team was made up of 5 care
assistants and one nurse. The nurse did the hand over regarding all changes and concerns from night
staff and then she allocated each of us 3 residents. My residents were MR J, MR B and MRS M (
obviously these are pseudonyms in order to maintain confidentiality in accordance with Nursing and
Midwifery Council NMC 2015 Code of Conduct).
Next step was to read the care plans of the residents allocated to me, although I am key worker for two

William B. Willcox s The Age of Aristocracy Essay
William B. Willcox s The Age of Aristocracy
This compact little book is Volume III of a series entitled A History of England, edited by Lacey
Baldwin Smith, and its inclusion in this series reveals much about its scope and intent. Smith writes in
the Preface to the series that their authors have tried by artistry to step beyond the usual confines of a
textbook and conjure up something of the drama of politics, of the wealth of personalities, and even of
the pettiness, as well as the greatness, of human motivation. Some of this can be found in The Age of
Aristocracy; some of it cannot. William B. Willcox s device for covering the significant people and

Willcox does discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the individual monarchs, but for the most part
these kings and queens are spectators; Willcox s real interest is in the politicians, and his book works
best when he manages to draw concise and important connections between such men as Marlborough,
Chesterfield, Walpole, and North, and the social forces that they harnessed to get their jobs done. Lord
Chesterfield, for example, is presented as the epitome of the eighteenth century Gentleman; his letters
of advice to his son Philip provide a standard by which Willcox introduces the world of manners and
form that provide the background for the rest of the book. What Chesterfield saw was there, says
Willcox, the love of form and style and the surface of life (51). Most of these miniature portraits are
very effective: Robert Walpole has an entire chapter devoted to his era, and he provides a stable center
through which to understand the dizzying political problems of dealing with Hanoverian succession,
the creation of British financial empires such as the Bank of England and the South Sea Company, and
the intricate relationships between peace, foreign diplomacy, and their effect on British business
interests. Two different William Pitts are also well served, and the Younger is particularly interesting

The Major Elements and Dimensions of Culture in Italy Essay
The Major Elements and Dimensions of Culture in Italy
Introduction
The world is made up of over one hundred countries. Those countries are what make the world a
melting pot of diversity, creativity, productivity, and fun. Of all the countries a person could explore,
one would like to present an introduction of Italy. This paper is intended to give the reader insight on
the culture, business, and international relations of Italy. Those International relations are specifically
in comparison to the United States. Both countries rely on one another. For instance, it is common to
see Italians sporting their American made clothing, and it is common to see Americans admiring their

153). Those rates are partially because children who are between the ages of 6 and 18 are required to
attend school (Croce et al, 2009, p. 153).
Religion
Another important, demographical element to discuss is religion. The predominant religion in Italy is
Catholicism (Garelli, 2007). The Roman Catholic headquarters are in Rome, Italy, also known as the
Vatican City. The church is directed by bishops. Almost 70% of the people who practice Catholicism
live in European countries (Saenz, 2005). It is interesting because Garelli stated that even though a
majority of Italians identify with Catholicism, they do not practice it regularly (2007). He stated that
the practice of Catholicism is becoming a minority in Italy (Garelli, 2007). Religion and government.
In terms of how business and the government are affected by religions in Italy, the country allows for
the freedom of worship to all people. Italy, unlike America, does not have a strict adherence to the
separation of church and state. The government financially supports the Catholic Church at the request
of the elected government representatives (Merriman, 2009). Even the students are allowed to attend
voluntary religion classes (Merriman, 2009). One factor that assists the country with their religious
relations is the agreement made between many religions and the state (Merriman, 2009). One religious
group excluded from such agreement is Muslims because

More than 4000 toy manufacturers had to close down their units and lay off workers. Part of this was
also attributable to the financial crisis of 2008.It is also estimated that more than 100,000 people were
affected, directly or indirectly, due to this ban.
Nearly half of China s toy factories closed last year. The country started the year with 8,610 factories
producing and exporting 70 per cent of all the world s toys. By the end of 2008, only 4,388 remained a
decline of 49 per cent, figures from the customs office showed.Among the biggest closures was that of
Smart Union, a Hong Kong listed maker of toys for companies such as Mattel and Disney in the
United States. It closed last October with the loss of 7,000 jobs.
Alternative Sources of Import in case of Ban: THAILAND
Toy manufacturing in Thailand has developed from a low quality, low price industry producing goods
for primarily the domestic market, to one that turns out quality products and plays an important role in
the country s export sector. The toy industry in Thailand has been dominated by foreign investments,
which poured into the country during the 1980 s. Asian toy makers quickly set up production facilities,
benefiting from low labor costs in Thailand and GSP privileges available for Thai based toy exporters
to the leading markets in the U.S. and Europe. Over 450 factories are currently

The Case Of Ludviga Pukas
What makes someone want to make a change in the world? For some, it is a deep desire to be a part of
something bigger or better than themselves. Yet for others, it is a family connection or interest that
sparks their conscience. For example, when people are moved to do things like adopt children,
something in their heart tells them that she should be a part of something bigger in the world. That is
exactly the case for Ludviga Pukas, a domestic maid from Ukraine. It was her own morals and
faithfulness to her employer that left her to be remembered as one of the hundreds of thousands of
holocaust rescuers (Women of Valor).
In the later 1930s, Ludviga (Nina) Pukas found a job in a town then called Proskurov as a maid with a
mother, Frima Sternik, and her two children, ages four and one. She formed such a bond with a family
that even after she started her own family, she continued to stay with and work for them. She lived
with the family for a few years before the bulk of the war began. Then, on July 7, 1941, the Sternik s

They put their own lives on the line to help others being persecuted. Although there is no shortage of

courage. This courage can inspire others to do things like adopt foster children or send money to
children with limited resources in third world countries. Her example can inspire girls like myself for
generations to come as well. Her compassion for children makes me yearn for a time when I will be
able kids. I always knew I wanted to have my own children as well as adopt some children, much like
Pukas. Reading her story only solidified this thought. She will forever be remembered as a woman
with a heart big enough to take on children as her own in times of extreme need and

Gandhi and the Journey of Independence
Intorduction
In History, we have always learned about heroes, leaders, and people who made accomplishments that
in a way have changed the world. We live for what others have done. Any courageous step taken by an
individual in order to achieve a goal, a belief, and seek for a right, comes only from a person with
leadership, huge spirit, and greatness. We have always looked back at leaders in our history that have
made life easier for us. For that, I would like to write about an extraordinary personality that has
achieved a big, difficult step for the good of Indians. Mohandas Gandhi is considered for many people

He started thinking and planning based on his thoughts and ideas that he mostly had learned from
several thinkers, and this is where he planned his first Satyagraha. Influenced by a variety of writers
and thinkers, including Tolstoy, Thoreau and Jesus Christ, Gandhi developed the Satyagraha (
devotion to truth ), a new non violent way to redress wrongs. (BBC.co, 2006)
Success of Satyagraha
He was interested in religions and ethics early in his childhood, but he started studying them later in
life. In his first year in South Africa he read quite eighty books , most of them on religion. (BBC.com,
2006) Thoreau was among his favorite writers, as he remarked the idea of civil disobedience into
Gandhi s thoughts. Tolstoy as well had a big influence on Gandhi. Tolstoy s bold idealism and fearless
candour gripped him, his Christian anarchism dissipated the spell of institutional religion. Tolstoy s
emphasis on the necessity of an accord between moral principles and daily life confirmed his own
strivings for self improvement. (BBC.com, 2006) Gandhi started teaching Indians about the civil
disobedience, as they started to disobey and challenge the humiliating laws in a meant that the Indians
would disobey the fair laws in a peacefully, quite, and nonviolence way. If they were attacked,
punished or imprisoned, they would allow it

Benefits Of A Qualified And Nonqualified Retirement Plan...
This discourse will attempt to discuss the concepts of what an executive is, what the difference
between a qualified and nonqualified retirement plan is, the three objectives of a nonqualified plan:
ERISA, funding status, and mandatory retirement age, as well as, nonqualified retirement plans of
supplemental executive retirement plans (SERPs) and excess benefit plans
Who Are Executives? From a tax regulation perspective, the Internal Revenue Services (IRS)
recognizes two groups of employees who play a major role in a company s policy decisions: highly
compensated employees and key employees (Martocchio, 2014, pg. 294). Highly compensated
employees refer to the nondiscrimination rules in the employer sponsored health insurance benefits.
According to Investopedia (2010), a highly compensated employee is an employee who is a five
percent owner of the company or an employee who has received more than 110,000 in compensations.
However, a highly compensated employee can also be defined as an employee whose pay is at the top
twenty percent of the company. When a company contributes to a defined benefit or defined
contribution plan for its employees and those contributions are based on the employee s compensation,
the IRS wants the company to minimize the discrepancy between the retirement benefits received by
highly compensated and lower compensated employees (Investopedia, 2010, pg. 1). This is how the
breakdown of compensation of allotted to highly compensated employees. On

bulletin boards seen in classrooms at the schools Raymond F Brandes and Creston that included clip

Comparing The Banning Of John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
Of Mice and Men, A Debate Within the Classroom Of Mice and Men has been the topic of many
debates on whether it should or shouldn t be banned on high school curriculums. Of Mice and Men by
John Steinbeck is about two men named George and Lennie and their life during the Great

Stated in the website of Teen Ink about the profanity We would not be learning the true history if
certain pieces of it and little details were ignored or left behind. In order to understand history to its
most, we must learn from our mistakes and realize what we have done wrong. All language is
beautiful in the right context ( Should Of Mice ). With the use of profanity, young audiences can gain
the knowledge and understand the history behind the words and why those words were used
frequently at the time. This is significant for the young audiences to learn and to know that they must
learn from the mistakes of using profanity and learning from it so that those words can t be repeated.
This is also supported through the knowledge of racial slurs and offensive language in Teen Ink as the
site states If people do not read, learn, and understand how African Americans were treated in the past,
then history will most likely repeat itself. We must learn and understand our mistakes, in order to
prevent them in the future ( Should Of Mice ). With audiences exposed to offensive language and

Mitchell s Motivation Theory
Motivation
Introduction
Mitchell (1982, p.82) describes motivation as the degree to which an individual wants and chooses to
engage in certain specified behaviours . Hence, in general, behaviour is determined by certain
motives, thus, Vroom and Deci (1992, p.33) considered motivation as the causes of our behaviour .
Moreover, according to Mullins (2013, p.245) motivation is concerned with question why do people
do what they do? , because motivation is an inner driving force which leads to particular action to
achieve some aim and fulfil some need. In other words, Chartered Management Institute (cited in
Mullins, 2013, p.246) observes that, the aim of management is to give people what they really want
most from work .
Motivation is a complex subject and traditionally has been cast as an individual phenomenon, because,
the uniqueness of each individual is a reflection of different needs, values, attitudes and goals. In that
case, Mitchell (1982, p.81) assumes that all of the main motivational theories allow in one way or
another for uniqueness to be demonstrated. Furthermore, different theories of motivation purpose
different reasons but almost all of them emphasise an individual and intentional choice of behaviour
analysis. As a consequence, Handy (1999, p.29) stresses that if individual behaviour could be analysed
and understood, then the individual motives could be predicted and could be influenced. However, no
certain formula exists. On the other hand, even the

Elvis Presley s Influence On African American Culture
In the 1950 s and 1960 s, Rock N Roll made a steady influential climb into the blossoming generations
norm. Elvis Presley, The King of Rock, debuted his first number one hit song Heartbreak Hotel and it
climbed steadily to the top of the charts as the number one song in February of 1956. When Elvis
popularity first grew, it sparked outrage through the previous generations in fears that his music would
intertwine cultures. In the 1950s and 1960s, Rock N Roll was classified as African American music
and those listeners who do not fit that class, would be frowned upon. Mr. Presley was a Nashville
native, who sang hard driving rockabilly, Rock N Roll dance songs and ballads, and laid a foundation
for other rock musicians to follow.
Elvis unique fashion sense influenced younger generations through the years to dress their snazziest,

hit and a miss in many people s eyes as they all voice their opinion of this radical school. Some say
that Pitbull has no place in academics and should remain in the areas that he is successful in. However,
the evidence points to benefits of this school. Nearly three thousand students applied for the limited
spots in this school and all are excited to attend a school that will have classes that focus on the sport
that they love. The creation of this school may land Pitbull a place in history if it proves to be
successful because music changes over time, but everyone must learn and

Rise Of Athens Essay
In the 5th century BC the city of Athens is growing rapidly. The city of Goddess Athena will succeed
under the leadership of the famous Pericles, to experience the greatest glory that a city would ever
know. Pericles will be the one who will sign it and through his politics Athens will enter the so called
Golden Age .
He was the one who actually transformed Athens from a city state to a metropolis and gradually to an
empire. (Pericles, 2009)
All started with the Delian League which rendered Athens a dominant in the Hellenic area. As soon as
the treasury of the League was located in Athens there was a sudden development in many areas
including, constructions, trade, arts and culture. He had also made many social reformations allowing

Spartans were terrified of Athens evolution and were looking for a cause to interfere.
That cause will eventually come by the Corfiots.
The naval battle in Sivota in 433 BC will mark the beginning of the Peloponnesian War that lasted for
27 years. (Ancient Warfare, 2008) At the beginning of the war the Athenians had managed to keep
Spartans away, but a sudden plague resulted in the death of a major number of Athenians, including
Pericles himself. Soon enough his strategies were abandoned and as none of his processes had the
ability to lead the army.
The next day found Athens under the Spartan Sovereignty. The Peloponnesian War managed to
radically change the flow of history. It was probably the most destructive and those who took part in it
didn t remain unaffected. At the same it signed the end of democracy and the Golden Age.
Although the Peloponnesian War was the reason for the end of the Athenian Golden Age it would be
unfair to blame only the Spartans. Warfare was a usual thing in the ancient times as there was much
competition between city states. If we take into account the rule of rise and fall, the end of the Golden
Age would be inevitable and that was proved by the fact that when the Peloponnesian War was over
the new force in the Hellenic area, the Macedonians conquered the whole Greece, establishing a new
form of government, the

The World Of Global Warming
The eighth Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki moon once said, The clear and present
danger of climate change means we cannot burn our way to prosperity. We already rely too heavily on
fossil fuels. We need to find a new, sustainable path to the future we want. We need a clean industrial
revolution ( Ban Ki moon ). Collectively, we burn fossil fuels without recognition of the repercussions
it has on the environment and our well being. Air pollution causes climate change, shown through the
increase in greenhouse gases, and environmental and health effects. Although global warming is a
relatively newly found epidemic, it has the support of science and should no longer be a topic of
debate.
Svante Arrhenius warned the world of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Keeling s research was conducted on carbon dioxide levels, other greenhouse gases have
seen a large increase since the industrial revolution. Water vapor is the most copious greenhouse gas.
Water vapor is only termed as a greenhouse gas for its strong correlation with the average worldwide
temperature. Similar to Earth s temperature, water vapor levels have gradually been increasing,
leading to an increase in precipitation. Another greenhouse gas is methane, a hydrocarbon gas.
Methane levels are heavily influenced by human activities, such as rice cultivation and manure
management. Methane is a deadlier gas to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide is, but carbon dioxide
is more abundant in the atmosphere ( Global Climate Change ). As these greenhouse gases continue to
permeate the atmosphere, they absorb heat normally radiated back toward space and release this heat
to the surface of the Earth.
Air pollution creates a variety of different effects on the environment. Many of air pollution s effects
are visible: the loss of ice on ice caps and the premature flowering of plants and trees. Air pollution
has a great effect on the weather forecast. As stated earlier, the warmer the Earth s surface becomes
the more water vapor is released into the atmosphere, this causes a variation of extreme weather
changes. Climate change affects every region

Common Law And Equity Law
COMMON LAW AND EQUITY
Introduction
During the 12th and 13th century, a survey was conducted on tradition, custom and law under the
common law system of England. This survey originally developed as court decisions. In England, the
equity laws are developed after the creation of the common law. The analysis based on development
of justice and is now used in the royal courts. This gives us the story of the 1066 when the England
was attacked and concluded that there is no common law system, but the local court system. It is
called the power of traditional dishes such as Shires and counties. The foundations of the common law
have known in public as customary law. In this assignment, me the author will describe the
development of the UK system of common Law and Equity. Arguments about judge s role in the
development of legal principles will be made.
The Common Law
During the conquest in 1066, William applied old legal customs in generalizing to the entire kingdom.
It was the origin of the Common Law; the essential characteristic was that it was rooted deeply in
Roman law to be based on the customs and practices from medieval traditions. These customs are still
mainly oral; procedures are carried out by royal courts who judge case leaving significant room for
interpretation. Gradually, the common law is insufficient and ineffective for a number of disputes.
The Equity
Individuals appeal directly to the king, arguing the fairness of their problems. This procedure, called

Cloud Computing And The Cloud Essay
INTRODUCTION The definition of the Cloud Computing is broad enough to cover everything such
as web search and photo sharing to social networking etc. Perhaps the key point is simply that cloud
computing resources should be accessible by the customers/end users anytime, anywhere, and from
any platform over internet on pay for use basis. Broadly, the cloud can be described as on demand
computing, fix anyone with a network connection. Access to applications and data anywhere, anytime
from any device is the potential outcome. The cloud refers to wide area networks, generally the intent
from which remote computing resources are shared as shown in the Fig 1.1. The cloud reduces costs
and complexity and provides scalability. The biggest advantage that the cloud brings is to reduce costs
and improve efficiency. An institution can rely on the pay as you go characteristic of the three pillars
of cloud: PaaS and Saas. Ease of maintenance increase efficiency as the pain of maintaining the
software is now shifted to the cloud service provider. Cloud computing customers do not need to own
the physical infrastructure; rather they use the resources from a third party provider on rental basis.
This helps them to avoid huge effort for the setup of the infrastructure. The End user consumes the
resources as a service and pay only for resources that they consume. Most cloud computing
infrastructure consists of

Summary Of On Going Home By Joan Didion
For the first time in 130 years, more young adults are living with parents until their mid thirties. Part
of this could be an emotional attachment keeping them from leaving home because after they leave,
everything will change. However, many are losing their real sense of home and are just using it as a
place where they can avoid paying bills and many other responsibilities. Many young adults now do
not understand the extensive sacrifice it is to leave their one and only home. In On Going Home, Joan
Didion expounds on her struggle to connect with her current house, in a nostalgic and resigned tone,
and vivid imagery, symbolism, and comparison Didion expresses the regret she feels every time she
remembers she left her home . The essay it s based on the time Didion visited her parents home to
celebrate her daughter s 1 year old birthday. Throughout the visit Didion couldn t help but feel
resentment to leave her home . Didion stated that she came to dread my husband s evening call
because she didn t want to go back to Los Angeles or even be reminded of it (2). Didion wishes she
could stay in her home where she is completely happy. We find her desperately looking around the
house for her past around every corner, inside every cupboard she aimlessly goes from room to room
looking for something she once lost and will never get back (2). Didion feels the need to reconnect
with her family and, although not stated, Didion longs to go back in time and prevent

Adoption Of Ideas
In the modern corporate landscape continued adoption of new ideas and methodologies is vital to
success, however there are certain barriers which prevent the adoption of novel ideas. It is of
paramount importance to organisations to demystify the factors which hold back the implementation
of new ideas. Ideas include but are not limited to innovative concepts regarding new products, new
processes and new approaches to management. In this essay, I will explore the main barriers facing
idea adoption namely risk aversion of organisations to radical new ideas, unhealthy working
relationships between supervisors and subordinates, poor organisational culture and adoption of
disruptive new technologies.
One explanation for the failure of adoption ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This suggests that another barrier to implementation of new ideas is the loyalty an employee feels
towards the organisation and how secure he/she feels in their position. There is strong indication in
research conducted by Burris et.al (2008) that both loyalty and openness of employees to new ideas
are affected negatively if there is a breakdown in the relationship between the employee and the
supervisor. This observation is far more advantageous to organisations from a practical standpoint as
encouraging strong working relationships between their employees and promoting loyalty to the firm
can lead to positive outcomes in the field of innovation.
Poor organisational culture with a lack of emphasis on innovation may deter the process of idea
adoption. Research conducted by McDonald (2007) suggests that the mission of an organisation is
pivotal in focusing employees to work to develop and adopt new ideas which further the mission of
the organisation. He states that dedication towards a mission statement will create a more innovative
work culture where employees are more likely to be open to accepting failure of some of the
prototypes and work towards improving these models until they can be implemented across the firm.
It must be noted how this viewpoint appears to be a remedy for the rejection of ideas due to risk
aversion observed by Baer (2012). This theory provides a broader sense

Advanced Placement European History
#3 Affinity. This concept can be visually represented by water and its ability to take the shape of any
container. So when my father introduced me to this concept, my intellectual arrogance dismissed it,
seeing no value in creating a connection with others. However, seeking solace in cold logic and
thinking made me a callous individual on the outside. Thereby depriving me of being able to
communicate all of my ideas to others. Despite being around so many people, I might as well have
been drifting through the desert, always feeling alone. It got to the point to which I had a change of
heart and decide to understand affinity. Initially, I failed to see how I could create a connection with
others through resemblance in structure and finally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In high school, I felt that a vital part of my education was missing my freshman year since we did not
have to take any social studies class. This made me feel like we had been cheated in some way. So,
when I had the choice of taking college prep World History or Advanced Placement European History
the following year, I chose to take AP because I felt like history should be something challenging that
forces one to think and question information. I knew it would be rigorous, but if history doesn t make
you think critically, it carries no meaning. However, the first semester didn t go well and I failed.
Frustrated by this failure and feeling powerless, I dug in my heels the second semester and began to
study more and yet still wasn t getting the answers right. On the night before the AP European Test, I
made one final attempt to atone for my lackluster study skills earlier in the year by reading my
textbook cover to cover. It worked because I passed with a three on the AP exam and felt motivated to
do better come eleventh grade. I no longer stayed up all night or had to read the textbooks cover to
cover for AP US History class or AP English Language and Composition class. Although not my first
language, I had an adequate command of the English language and crafting my words in a unique way.
I had been studying U.S. History and so I giggled with glee when I saw the essay topics, confident I
would excel. When I received my test results this past July, I thought to myself, It s bizarre to have
learned so much about a place that isn t your own

Disney Pixar Released Pete Docter s Movie, Inside Out
Introduction In 2015, Disney Pixar released Pete Docter s movie, Inside Out. The initial release of the
movie was a hit in the box office and made a lot of young children and even their parents, thrilled to
see. I went to see this movie with my family and I was actually excited about it because the previews
were very entertaining. I am not one that typically wastes money to go see an animated film in the
movie theater, but this one the one exception. The movie is about an 11 year old girl, Riley, who
moves to San Francisco with her parents from Minnesota, due to her father s job. The main characters
of the movie, however, are not Riley and her parents, but Riley s primary emotions Happiness (Joy),
Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. These emotions give us a glimpse into the mindset of a young
adolescent girl who is having trouble adjusting to her new surroundings and faking her happiness for
her parents. This movie appealed to me because it was so relatable and it had such a deeper messages
that takes knowledge and life experience to understand. The emotions that Riley is feeling throughout
the movie really made the audience feel connected to her character. The movie exceeded my
expectations and made it completely worth going to see. The emotions in the movie were more than
just characters; they were a part of the person watching. This movie had the potential to make viewers
think about their actions and reactions towards situations in their everyday life. Riley s

  • 2. Essay On Native American Culture Does everyone comprehend enough of their own culture identity? Every culture has their own identity. We all have the same human race. However, for me, even though USA is one of the biggest countries in the world, it s hard to believe USA is a multicultural country, which has many people who came from overseas to the US to represent their own culture in there. There are Native American culture, Mexican culture, Chinese culture, Korean culture etc. and there is no way to count all the cultures which exist in the US because there are just a lot of them. As an international student who study in the US came from overseas, there are a lot to see and learn in here. Native American culture is the culture that I heard before but knows nothing about it until I started learning that in English class this year. I know nothing about Native American and their culture. I never know what do they look like, I thought they just look like the white American because Native American Indian is also American ? After I get in touch a little bit with Native American, they look kind, friendly, willing to help each other, they are not what I thought who is scary and creepy. Furthermore, I understand that this is the differences between cultures identity. Even though we are not look alike, speak alike, all people in the world have the same human race. I feel excited to know about Native American Indian s lifestyle because it is always interesting to know about others culture. Even though some argue ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Compare And Contrast Two Cave Paintings In my I chose to compare two cave paintings from the paleolithic period, The first cave in called Lascaux, and the second cave called Altamira. As we know that the Paleolithic time period is from 30,000 BC to 10,000 BC. The most common theme in cave painting during that time period was like a bunch of a large animals such as bison, horses, cows, deers, lions, birds, and aurochs. In those two pieces of cave painting I found alots of common stuff like the animals and the story of the painting as well but their are some differences like the purpose of the paintings, so in the first cave painting which is the Lascaux Their was a story behind this painting which is telling us about the wars during that time period; in the second cave painting which ... Lascaux is a complex cave with several areas (Hall of the Bulls, Passage gallery), it had been opened for the public after the world war two, and it closed to the public in 1963, it contains about 600 paintings and 1,500 engravings (ART HISTORY, VOLUME 1, PAGE 10). Lascaux became too popular in France because the visitors brought heat, humidity, exhaled carbon dioxide , and some other contaminants. The Lascaux painters had been drawn cows, bulls, horses, and deers. Along the rock one scene was discovered in a remote settings on a wall at the bottom on a stone lamp and spears. This scene is actually weird because it is telling a story which is the human who is suppose to be the hunter, was greatly simplified in form but recongnizably male with a head of bird or wearing a mask of a bird s head had been lying on the ground, and the painting was also showing that there were a big bison appears above him. • 4. Deserving to Die Essay Robert Lee makes many arguments to argue justification of capital punishment in his article, Deserving to Die. Some of the stronger ones involve the deterrent effect of the use of the death penalty, why the cost of execution is so high, and how the use of the death penalty increases overall public safety. In Lee s first argument, he argues that the use of capital punishment helps reduce overall crime by acting as a deterrent to crime. In at least one respect, capital punishment is unquestionably a deterrent, as Lee puts it, It simply cannot be contested that a killer, once executed, is forever deterred from killing again (142). Of course, a deceased killer can never kill again, but the effect that death penalty has on others, potential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second argument Lee makes involves not whether the cost of capital punishment is actually really huge, more than it costs to sentence someone to life without the possibility of parole, but as to why the cost is so high and what should be done about it. Abolitionists of capital punishment always cited as a reason to abolish it all together. But Lee notes that, They prefer to ignore, however, the extent to which they themselves are responsible for the interminable legal maneuvers that run up the costs... (144). Lee argues that the major causes of the high cost are the redundant, endless appeals, time consuming delays, bizarre court rulings, and legal histrionics by defense attorneys, after the trial and conviction of the criminal (i.e. post conviction proceedings). Lee provided several examples of cases that were delayed again and again for various reasons, many with the convicted on death row years before finally being executed. Willie Darden had already survived three death warrants, and had been scheduled to be electrocuted by the state of Florida in September of 1985 for a murder he was convicted of committing back in 1973. Darden s defense attorney attempted to get the Supreme Court to stay his execution until a formal appeal could be filed, with a last minute emergency appeal. The court voted against the stay, so his lawyer, attempted to get the court to technically transform his emergency appeal into a formal appeal. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is important to correctly establish the resources that are required by opening a business in order to be able to successfully reach the objectives established for businesses in each situation. In this case, the business plan refers to developing a restaurant that focuses on providing meals that are based on organic foods. The benefits of organic foods are well known. There are numerous studies in the field that have identified the benefits that organic foods have on individuals health. There are also numerous studies that reveal the effects that fast food has on people. Certain governments in different companies develop campaigns intended to increase awareness on such issues, and to modify the eating habits of people in these countries. However, it is difficult to reach this objective when customers have numerous fast food restaurants to choose from. These restaurants provide fast service at smaller prices, and this is what most customers want. Therefore, it is important that food providers participate in campaigns developed by governments in their attempt to improve eating habits. Restaurants that provide healthy food have a better image on the market in comparison with fast food restaurants. But health food is considered to be more expensive. The organizations being investigated are the W.K. Kellogg, the Sherman, and Mellon Foundation. Furthermore, I will proceed by reviewing the specific needs for each proposal distinguishing which elements remained the same across each foundation. Moreover, I continue by noting any changes that must be made to the strategy used to produce a proposal. There were no significant changes I found to be necessary when applying for a proposal online. In regards to strategy, I stated that proposal writers should first make sure they are a good fit for the grant. • 8. Is Batman A Hero Batman was created by Bob Kane and is regarded as one of the best comic book characters. Over the years he has been known for taking on impossible odds for any human to face, often winning each time, but can he really beat anyone? As much as I love Batman comics, movies, and TV series, too many fans have this absurd notion that he can beat anyone if given prep time. Granted, Batman is one of those type of heroes who has the ability to outsmart a multitude of villains or other heroes using strategy, detective skills, martial arts, and technology, but even with all this in his favor there are many characters he will never be able to beat who are either superior to him in these areas or have way too much power for him to compensate for. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In reality, Batman only beat the man of steel because he had access to some thing he knew would diminish his natural power, making him weak in the process. (also a result of the pain) So, technically his win doesn t count. Not much strategy was needed for what he did in this fight. Depending on how you play it, anyone could beat Superman when he s like that. If Superman did not have Kryptonite as a weakness, the dark knight would have been killed or would be left with no choice but to escape. In a similar scenario, if we were to replace the man of steel with another such as Galactus, or Thanos, Batman would easily lose this fight because they simply have no exploitable weakness he could use to beat them. No amount of preparation, technology, or human physicality can compete with a being who is light years beyond average or Olympic levels of power, specifically godlike entities. Another point worth noting is Bats track record against foes smarter and more skilled then him. He has been beaten many times by Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke, Lady Shiva, and a few others throughout his career which he has never outsmarted or beaten in a fight. As he stands, Batman is a symbol, he embodies many of the good qualities as well as physical and even mental abilities we can all strive to achieve in reality, but with good ... Imagine being sentenced to death by your government; the institution that is supposed to protect your rights, and then waiting years for the killing blow to land. Imagine the constant fear and anxiety you would endure; nobody deserves that torment. The death penalty is still legal in many parts of America and dozens of people are killed every year. In Canada, the death penalty has been abolished since 1976 and there is little support for reinstatement. This is not the case in America, while many states have stopped using capital punishment there are still thirty one that continue to follow the practice. Capital punishment is not a fair or equal penalty, depending on who you are or where you live will dramatically affect the outcome of a sentence. First, race is a huge factor and capital punishment is fraught with racism. A 1998 study found that African Americans were 38% more likely to receive the death penalty in Philadelphia than other races. (Rust Tierney) Not only are African Americans more likely to receive the death penalty but 83% of cases that do receive it involve white victims. This is true despite the fact that only 50% of murder victims are white. (Rust Tierney) These statistics do not indicate a fair and unbiased system, people are equipped with their own prejudices and consciously or not these leanings have created a disparity in the justice structure. The system is also biased against the poor. Individuals with little to no wealth can not access the high cost, well equipped representation the rich can. Over 99% of people sentenced to capital punishment are indigent and are often poorly represented. There is a plethora of other issues that arise with the death penalty, the sentencing is inconsistent, dependent on the prosecutors and judges in the specific case, and the mentally ill are condemned despite laws implemented to prevent this. This leads to the next point, errors. The most dismaying aspect of the death penalty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Correlation Between Motivation And Achievement Brown and Wahlberg designed a study in which they intended to demonstrate an independent causal relationship between motivation and achievement (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). They purported to have devised a study with a randomized assignment of students to conditions eliciting different degrees of motivation (Brown Wahlberg, 1993, p. 134). The question for the researchers remained what is the effect of experimentally manipulated motivational conditions on elementary math scores (Brown Wahlberg, 1993, p. 133). The study remains a randomized quantitative mixed methods quasi experimental study of 406 heterogeneously grouped students in third, fourth and sixth through eighth grades in Chicago Public Schools (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). Three schools were selected to participate in the study. The student populations in each school were described as lower middle working class and predominantly Hispanic and African American (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). Respective of each school, two classes were randomly selected out of each grade level and randomly assigned to experimental groups. The participant groups were administered the Mathematics Concept subtest of the Iowa Basic Skills (ITBS) 1978, Levels 9 14. The ITBS was selected for its high reliability rating of 0.85 and its correlation with school curriculum (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). • 12. Ambiguity In Shakespeare s Rosencrantz And Guildenstern... Hamlet, perhaps the most famous Shakespearean play, is one that has been performed and interpreted in many ways. Shakespeare often wrote using multiple meanings to add ambiguity to an already stellar plot. This caused modern culture to make many versions of Hamlet. The most interesting spin off is the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard. He created an intriguing story while addressing important philosophical questions. The biggest question in presented in both Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is the meaning of life and death. Without a purpose, minor characters are purposed to carry out the plans of the royalty in the play. These minor characters and royalty all died. Shakespeare uses the royalty in Denmark to symbolize death. The royal family represents power in the play and the king represents the peak of power in Denmark. But the King was the first character in Hamlet to die. Murdered by his own brother, the King showed himself to Hamlet in ghost form. From the beginning of the play, death is already introduced as a major theme. Shakespeare purposefully introduces death into the book using the king. He uses this to link Denmark s most elite family with death, specifically murder. To Shakespeare, royalty is filled with certain characteristics that make death imminent. Claudius killed his brother out of envy for his power. This murder is the reason Hamlet seeks vengeance upon Claudius. While Hamlet seeks vengeance, Shakespeare uses ... • 13. Case Of 1928-Olmstead V. United States 1928 Olmstead v.United States Supreme court rules federal investigators can wiretap into suspects phones legally, and use those conversations as evidence. Roy Olmstead, a suspected bootlegger, was bugged in the basement of his office, and also in the streets surrounding his home. He was later convicted based on that evidence. An appeal was raised on the grounds that the wiretapped data violated the defendant s Fourth and Fifth Amendment. It was decided that the wiretapped data did not violate the Fifth Amendment, because he was not forced to say anything incriminating, and did not violate the Fourth Amendment because wiretapping is not considered search and seizure (which would require a physical search of a person s belongings or possessions.) This event is important because it decided that wiretapping was legal and did not infringe on the Fourth or Fifth Amendment rights of criminals, effectively allowing wiretapping to be used in investigation and trial as evidence. In addition, it defined your Fourth Amendment rights to only apply to physical materials or properties of yours, not conversations or other non tangible things, and said that since wiretapped individuals were not forced to discuss incriminating information, the Fifth Amendment protection against self incrimination did not apply. It set a major precedent that would stand for nearly forty years, when it was overturned in Katz v. United States. 1945 The predecessor to the NSA receives copies of every ... The Old Spice Company uses several methods to convey a message and sell their product. Old Spice commercials are well known for using the famous Isaiah Mustafa, wrapped in just a towel, to talk about the company s product. While Mustafa walks and talks, the background and setting of the commercial changes and the actor never loses eye contact. The product is always shown throughout the entire commercial. Throughout the entire ad, the central character does not have any clothing on except for a towel. Also, the undying eye contact, never ending perfect posture and the same central location of the bathroom also has an equal sexual appeal. Isaiah Mustafa is very buff, tall, and has the ultimate sexy voice. His eyes, stance, lack of clothing and voice draw you in like a moth to a light. The overall appeal to the character is unquestionable, you cannot help but stare. If you cannot help but pay attention to a commercial, then you will also pay attention to the product being addressed (citation 2). In this way, the company is able to grab your attention and keep it long enough to get their product out there. The racial innuendo in the Old Spice commercial is probably the least evident technique used to draw potential customers in. There is no denying that the main character is African American. Without the use of this particular actor and his race, the commercial just would not be the same. Usually in any voice over or previously recorded advertisement, there is a black man speaking. They know how to enunciate the right words and have the voice to go along with it (citation 1). This might be a racial stereotype but it works for this particular commercial really well. Examples Of Apitalism In Charles Dickens Great Expectations apitalism in Charles Dickens s Great Expectations: A Critique Isam Shihada Introduction: In England, the years spanning 1780 1840 witnessed rapid economic changes, which propelled English society decisively towards industrialization. (Lloyd Jones Lewis, 2014) The Industrial Revolution (1) transformed England from an agricultural to an industrial society where the machine had replaced manual labor. This may have led to the rise of mass unemployment and the exodus of workers from villages to cities in search of economic opportunities to survive. Dickens Great Expectations refers to the manipulation of the bourgeois employers, assisted by the government, against the working class. They were not only used as machines by their employers, but were also victimized by them. The working class s exploitation stemmed solely from materialistic purposes, which resulted in a series of destructions such as the transformation of innocent characters into evil ones. Within this context, Peter Childs and Nicolas Tredell argue that Dickens s Great Expectations renders a world in which the individual human freedom and fulfillment is frustrated by what are usually promulgated as society s great expectations, and those values usually associated with progress, civilization and modernity. • 16. Andy Pope of Pop Warhol The American artist, Andy Warhol, was one of the major influential artists in the late 20th century, during the pop art movement. One of his art pieces is called Details of Renaissance Paintings (Sandro Botticelli, Birth of Venus, 1482) made in 1984 and currently located at The Andy Warhol Museum in his hometown. For all of his art works (printmaking, painting, cinema, photography), Warhol gives a whole new different perspective and meaning to society, by giving a personality to his work. The cultural icon once said, In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes. (QuotationsPage.com, 1994). I believe this is true, because no matter the object or celebrity icon, Warhol gave that chance to everyone and anything that was popular. His birth name was Andrew Warhola Jr., later changing it to Andy Warhol shortly after moving to New York. He was born on August 6, 1928 and raised in his hometown of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He passed away at 58 years old, from post surgery in New York. His parents were Julia and Ondrej Warhola, who immigrated to the United States in 1914, from Slovakia after their parents deceased. Being the youngest of three siblings, he grew up in a different lifestyle than his siblings. At six years old, Andy was diagnosed with Sydenham s chorea, where he was restricted to his bed for several months, however he was entertained with his mom artistic skills, teaching him how to draw, trace, and print images. • 17. Family And Family Analysis The institution of a family can be viewed as the backbone of society by having a major role in the functioning of society. It is considered to have many essential functions like reproduction, socializing children, providing care and support, regulating sexual relationships, etc. Creating an infant is the beginning of how a family is significant in the functioning of society. The family then provides safety and economic stability for the child. The social norms, behaviors, and culture are then taught and learned by the child through exposure from peers and the environment. As the child continues to grow, the family is constantly giving the child love and support while the child learns his or her self identity. The cycle of socialization, passing along culture, and providing guidance of self purpose then continues from generation to generation. Families were essentially the main economic unit of society, however, that was before industrialization. Depending on the society and culture, the roles within the family can vary based on gender, class, and race. After industrialization, it was believed that men were the ones that should earn the money away from the household while the women took care of their children and house. Margaret L. Andersen and Taylor F. Howard explains, Many men are now more engaged in housework and child care than was trust in the past, although women still provide the vast majority of this labor (Andersen Howard, 2014, p.279). Two such movements were Confessionalism and Beat poetry. There are many commonalities between these movements, and often, authors and works from the Beat movement incorporate various Confessionalist characteristics. Allen Ginsberg, one such author, combined both Confessionalism and Beat poetry in a variety of his works, including Howl and Kaddish. The Confessionalist aspects of Allen Ginsberg and his works, such as Howl, were heavily outweighed by the Beat aspects in his work. In addition to adopting peaceful religions, such as Buddhism, Beat poets attempted to connect with their spiritual state of being by engaging in drug usage and meditating. To distinguish themselves in literature, they picked at the flaws they perceived in romanticism, modernist poetry, and the New Criticism. They abandoned the typical form and structure of formalist poetry. Instead, they commonly followed the footsteps of Walt Whitman and his free verse. The free verse allowed them to sync their words with a musical flow, especially that of jazz. In addition to free verse, the Beat poetry contained unregulated self expression. The Beats believed that true emotions were expressed in the moment, and often would not edit their works. They also openly discussed sexual experimentation, specifically that directed to the gay culture. Beats also wrote about their usage of drugs, and its ability to help perceive the truth. Their work portrayed a belief that the arts transcended mortality. Allen Ginsberg was born on June 3, 1926 to a schizophrenic mother. His experience with his mother heavily affected him, as evident in his portrayal of mental illness in much of his work. Considered one of the founders of Beat poetry, Ginsberg brought attention to the movement with his performance of his poem Howl. I play of my state lacrosse team we have our first tournament this weekend and I don t wanna be the reason that we lose. I was originally a D pole for my city team but my coach for state thought otherwise. I could run the field in 20 seconds flat. At least that is what my coach said. I started out the day with a couple fakes and spin moves nothing hard just the kind of stuff you need to know when you want to start. My sister decides to come and play me in a 1v1 (me and my sister are competitive) I accept so we go to the plains across the street I bring the net along with us. I just school her badly 10:0 she challenged me at my own game 1st mistake. We head back every day I have lacrosse practice at 3:30 until 5:30 that is the best practice ever because all we do is get in the middle and get on top both 1v1 games against your own teammate. I used to play D pole like I said but now it is easier to use a short pole. I go through my day of 3 hours in the morning of practice at the plains across the street and hanging with friends doing more lacrosse. Then it becomes 3 and I have to leave for lacrosse so I grab my gear bag and longer leaving my long pole there. We reach the area of where I practice I m usually the first one there but everyone is ready and geared up and warming up I was late for the first time in my life my dad is so mad. Get out there Jax you re late I forgot that practice was early today it started at 2. My heart sank I was late so I wind sprint out of the car and all I hear is there s Jax. Coach is saying I m late so as quick as I can I strap up my helmet chest and shoulder pads and gloves and ran faster than I ever have before out there. Today is the day the first day of the tournament all these teams look like the would be tough but who knows except for the team itself. The thing about state tournaments is that the teams that you played and beat could have gotten a whole lot better so with a lacrosse state tournament you have to stay of your game and get better no matter if you re a starter and always will be a starter. The fact that those words take such important place in our lives makes a massive change in our society and our civilization around the world. Money is now the most important factor in our lives in many aspects. But does money really provide happiness? Since we are living in a society we create social contract to divide and share task, responsibilities and live in cohesion all together. To value this form of labor division, we create money, first it was only exchange of production between laborers and later it became the dollars we all know. For this evolution and perpetuation, we can see the impact of money on the population, The first form of money was shared food, which for many centuries preceded the evolution of coinage . Lord Chesterfield, for example, is presented as the epitome of the eighteenth century Gentleman; his letters of advice to his son Philip provide a standard by which Willcox introduces the world of manners and form that provide the background for the rest of the book. What Chesterfield saw was there, says Willcox, the love of form and style and the surface of life (51). The Roman Catholic headquarters are in Rome, Italy, also known as the Vatican City. The church is directed by bishops. Almost 70% of the people who practice Catholicism live in European countries (Saenz, 2005). He stated that the practice of Catholicism is becoming a minority in Italy (Garelli, 2007). Religion and government. In terms of how business and the government are affected by religions in Italy, the country allows for the freedom of worship to all people. Italy, unlike America, does not have a strict adherence to the separation of church and state. The government financially supports the Catholic Church at the request of the elected government representatives (Merriman, 2009). Even the students are allowed to attend voluntary religion classes (Merriman, 2009). With the use of profanity, young audiences can gain the knowledge and understand the history behind the words and why those words were used frequently at the time. This is significant for the young audiences to learn and to know that they must learn from the mistakes of using profanity and learning from it so that those words can t be repeated. This is also supported through the knowledge of racial slurs and offensive language in Teen Ink as the site states If people do not read, learn, and understand how African Americans were treated in the past, then history will most likely repeat itself. • 35. Mitchell s Motivation Theory Motivation Introduction Mitchell (1982, p.82) describes motivation as the degree to which an individual wants and chooses to engage in certain specified behaviours . Hence, in general, behaviour is determined by certain motives, thus, Vroom and Deci (1992, p.33) considered motivation as the causes of our behaviour . Moreover, according to Mullins (2013, p.245) motivation is concerned with question why do people do what they do? , because motivation is an inner driving force which leads to particular action to achieve some aim and fulfil some need. In other words, Chartered Management Institute (cited in Mullins, 2013, p.246) observes that, the aim of management is to give people what they really want most from work . Motivation is a complex subject and traditionally has been cast as an individual phenomenon, because, the uniqueness of each individual is a reflection of different needs, values, attitudes and goals. In that case, Mitchell (1982, p.81) assumes that all of the main motivational theories allow in one way or another for uniqueness to be demonstrated. Furthermore, different theories of motivation purpose different reasons but almost all of them emphasise an individual and intentional choice of behaviour analysis. As a consequence, Handy (1999, p.29) stresses that if individual behaviour could be analysed and understood, then the individual motives could be predicted and could be influenced. However, no certain formula exists. On the other hand, even the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Elvis Presley, The King of Rock, debuted his first number one hit song Heartbreak Hotel and it climbed steadily to the top of the charts as the number one song in February of 1956. When Elvis popularity first grew, it sparked outrage through the previous generations in fears that his music would intertwine cultures. In the 1950s and 1960s, Rock N Roll was classified as African American music and those listeners who do not fit that class, would be frowned upon. Mr. Presley was a Nashville native, who sang hard driving rockabilly, Rock N Roll dance songs and ballads, and laid a foundation for other rock musicians to follow. Warfare was a usual thing in the ancient times as there was much competition between city states. Water vapor is the most copious greenhouse gas. Water vapor is only termed as a greenhouse gas for its strong correlation with the average worldwide temperature. Similar to Earth s temperature, water vapor levels have gradually been increasing, leading to an increase in precipitation. Another greenhouse gas is methane, a hydrocarbon gas. Methane levels are heavily influenced by human activities, such as rice cultivation and manure management. Methane is a deadlier gas to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide is, but carbon dioxide is more abundant in the atmosphere ( Global Climate Change ). As these greenhouse gases continue to permeate the atmosphere, they absorb heat normally radiated back toward space and release this heat to the surface of the Earth. Air pollution creates a variety of different effects on the environment. Many of air pollution s effects are visible: the loss of ice on ice caps and the premature flowering of plants and trees. Many young adults now do not understand the extensive sacrifice it is to leave their one and only home. Ideas include but are not limited to innovative concepts regarding new products, new processes and new approaches to management. This suggests that another barrier to implementation of new ideas is the loyalty an employee feels towards the organisation and how secure he/she feels in their position. There is strong indication in research conducted by Burris et.al (2008) that both loyalty and openness of employees to new ideas are affected negatively if there is a breakdown in the relationship between the employee and the supervisor. This observation is far more advantageous to organisations from a practical standpoint as encouraging strong working relationships between their employees and promoting loyalty to the firm can lead to positive outcomes in the field of innovation. Poor organisational culture with a lack of emphasis on innovation may deter the process of idea adoption. Research conducted by McDonald (2007) suggests that the mission of an organisation is pivotal in focusing employees to work to develop and adopt new ideas which further the mission of the organisation. He states that dedication towards a mission statement will create a more innovative work culture where employees are more likely to be open to accepting failure of some of the prototypes and work towards improving these models until they can be implemented across the firm. It must be noted how this viewpoint appears to be a remedy for the rejection of ideas due to risk aversion observed by Baer (2012). This theory provides a broader sense ...
