Production Of Hair Care Products For African Americans
In today s society, natural hair is popular for many women which have chosen this over relaxed hair.
More and more, African American women are leaving behind chemicals used to straighten hair and
accepting their natural curls (P., 2016). The market for relaxers has fallen for several years now. Sales
of hair care products for African Americans reaches $774 million in 2014, representing a 12 percent
increase since 2009, according to Mintel (H., 2015). SheaMoisture is a company that is tailored to the
African American community. It provides various products relating to natural hair care products,
beauty, such as cosmetics, and hygiene. Tony Roberts, a multicultural analyst for the intelligence firm
Mintel stated, We can see that sales [of relaxers] start to decline as far back as the 1990s. We forecast
that the decline [from 2014] will reach 45 percent by 2019 (H., 2015).
SheaMoisture was founded by Sofi Tucker. Sofi Tucker started selling Shea Nuts at the village market

Exegesis on the Story of the Good Samaritan
Anonymous
October 26, 2012
Mr.
Luke 10:25 36 The passage of Luke 10:25 36 is an essential story because it applies to every Christian
today the same way, but in order for us to follow the example Jesus made, we must first understand
what the story would have meant to the Jews in Jesus time. The first step in understanding the story of
the Good Samaritan is to understand the relationship between the Jews and the Samaritans of the time.
The Samaritans were considered unclean by the Jews, because they saw the Samaritans as a corruption
of God s chosen people, therefore the Jews were not supposed to make contact with the Samaritans
whatsoever. Not only were the Samaritans considered unclean, the Jews would have seen them as ...

Jesus was instructing the Jews to be an example to the nations by loving all people the way Christ did,
which is why he changed the Jews understood meaning of neighbor, from someone who was
righteous, to all men. The two religious people were unable to do what God wanted from them in the
parable, because they were unable to look past the law for the greater good, unlike the Samaritan, who
was up and ready to help because he was not blinded by obligations that would cause him a slight
disadvantage, because what was important to him was helping the broken man on the road. This
parable is a great example of Christ s love for us, since we are all corrupted with sin, yet he loves us
and is merciful to each of us, although it is not deserved.

WASHING DETERGENTS Summary of Module 1 INDUSTRY OVERVIEW Washing powders and
detergents are considered to be an important part of personal and home care product lines. The local
detergent industry in Pakistan has flourished significantly over time and is still on the path
diversification and development. During the periods of 1980s till the end of 90s, detergent bars had

market share. It is superior in quality compared to competitors such as Bright and Ariel. Surf Excel is
not just focusing on the middle income category; they have extensive socio economic footprint
between consumer goods competitors. Surf Excel is also looking at lower income bracket with diverse
range of products. Its main target market is the urban population but in order to cater to the needs of
the lower income groups the product is being launched in different quantities which is convenient and

Aquinas Legality Of War
Among some of the subjects that Aquinas tackles in On Law, Morality, and Politics is the dilemma of
War and Killing. Aquinas sums up the legality of war through three criteria: that the war waged is
done by a legitimate authority, that the war is just because the enemy has done something grossly
wrong, and the intention of the war is to solely right the wrong. Also we see Aquinas say that the
killing of an innocent person is justified if God will s it. Aquinas argues that one of the objectives in
order to make a war justified is when a legitimate authority declares it. Typical it is usually a country s
top leadership that would count as legitimate authority, however in the United States it is not the
President who can legally declare ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If this was the policy that was to be followed, the United States would not be a country since it was
private citizens, who according to Aquinas are certainly not legitimate authority, who armed
themselves and rebelled against the British. The former colonies who revolted and rebelled against
their Imperial European countries would not be awarded their own countries because the people who
are ruled are not in authority and thus, according to Aquinas, cannot wage war. The second criterion
for waging war because the enemy has done something wrong against the first country I can agree
with Aquinas is just. When a country has repeatedly harassed another country, made consistent threats
and provokes another country to war by building up their military and does represent a threat to the
country and/or the surrounding countries, then I believe it is just for the first country to act and to
ensure stability by eliminating the threat. A country who constantly causes trouble within its own
borders and/or nearby countries cannot be left about if diplomacy and negotiating for peace goes
nowhere, waiting will only stir more trouble and peace will become more threatened if it hasn t
already been removed. The third is somewhat unrealistic in my opinion. Throughout mankind, wars
have been waged never solely to right a wrong . Lives are lost, land and property are damaged and
destroyed, life is hell during war. It

Sandwich Bikes
In the world of home exercise equipment, few pieces have been around as long as the exercise bike.
Although exercise bikes (fitness bikes, studio bikes) received a bad rap for a number of years, being
used as clothes hangers, etc., the new versions are sleek, silent, and easy to use.
There are two basic types of bikes, the upright and the recumbent. An upright is what most people
think of when they think of fitness bikes. The upright is closest to a regular bike, narrow saddle,
pedals below the rider, handle bars out front. On the other hand, a recumbent exercise bike has a wider
seat with a small back support. The pedals are out front, and the rider is in a reclined position. Both
bikes have good and bad points as we shall see.
The traditional setup of an upright bike allows the rider to more closely simulate an actual bike ride
than possible with a recumbent. The rider is able to stand, assume a race crouch, or a neutral position.
Trouble is, if the rider has any sort of back problems, especially lower back, an upright can irritate the
condition leading to worse problems. An upright is more difficult to get on and off of because of a
higher proximity to the ground. This can be problematic for older or overweight people. An upright
takes up less room than a recumbent. You may want to keep this in mind if your exercise area is on the
small side. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Digital Evidence In The Courtroom
The concept I will take from this class that I thought was important, is the concept of admissibility.
Admissibility defines how safe is the evidence collected for trial and presented in front of a jury, and
would the evidence be sound enough when making a decision in a case ( Casey, 2011, p.56). How
evidence is collected and analyze and stored are some of the factors that can have an influence on the
evidence in a case. The course Book Digital Evidence and Computer Crime, Chapter 3, Digital
Evidence in the Courtroom by Eugene Casey provides an example of a case that was presented in
Maryland. In 2007. The Magistrate was conveying over a case about the legitimacy of email. The
Judge did not allow the emails because in his view these are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Bayesian network modeling is used to calculate the analysts judgment on the certainty of evidence
(Changwei, Singhal, Wijesekera, 2014).
Bayesian probabilities ranks the submission of evidence from the highest to lowest degree of
certainty;
(1) Beyond any doubt (100%)
(2) Beyond a reasonable doubt ( 99%),
(3) Clear and convincing evidence (90 99%)
(4) Clear showing (80 90%)
(5) Substantial and credible evidence (67 80%)
(6) Preponderance of the evidence (50 67%)
(7) Clear indication (33 50%) (8) Probable cause: reasonable grounds for belief (10 33%) (9)
Reasonable, articulable grounds for suspicious (1 10%)
(10) No reasonable grounds for suspicion ( 1%)
This second method is a scientific or systematic approach method in analyzing evidence. However,
this method is not use in a civil hearing or a court of law. In conclusion, the course provided many
concepts that can be used or introduce in a case by case analysis. The one point that is common
throughout the course readings is the extraction of fact from hearsay when determining the integrity of
evidence presented in court or civil

Consequences Of Winning The Lottery
Imagine winning the lottery right now, smiling while holding a big check for five hundred million
dollars. Now imagine all of the things you could do with that money like buy a giraffe or a
lamborghini. You could even open up an orphanage for kids. Now think of all the bad that could come
out like becoming broke from lack of responsibility (financially) or losing all of your friends. When
people win the lottery, people like to focus on the positive elements, but no one chooses to look at the
negative elements. Although there are many risks involved in winning the lottery, I would still love to
win. Because I would have many more opportunities,I could help many people in need, and I would
have the freedom to do whatever I please.

Like Tupac Shakur once said I m not saying I m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will
spark the brain that will change the world (brainyquotes). With winning the lottery, I could open good
schools in communities where the schooling is either poor or it s not free. I could give clean water to
people in places where they don t have water. I could give food and shelter to those who don t have it.
A couple weeks ago, my family and I went on a trip to Dallas,Texas for a family reunion and we
stopped on this bridge and there was a homeless man standing with a sign. I saw the man and I gave
him $20 which was all the money in my purse because I felt that the man needed it more than me. I
realize that going to Clayton instead of some poor city school and living in middle class America and
having both my parents in my life that I have it better than many of people, not only in Saint Louis,
but in the world. I could be going to work everyday as a 15 year old rather than school, living in some
small house. The fact that 1 in 6 americans struggles to get enough to eat alone is enough to make me
want to give back. I think the first thing i would do with my money would be to open a foundation to
find the cure of different types of cancer. More specifically stomach and breast cancers, because those
are the cancers that affect me and my family the most. So I think

Discipline And Punish By Michel Foucault
In the article, Discipline and Punish by Michel Foucault, he describes a social theory called
panopticism. In Foucault s panopticism he talks about the panopticon, an architectural plan that was
created by Jeremy Bentham. The Prison structure of the twenty first century uses that same building
design as the panopticon. We see how the plague town in the Panopticism shows a chain of authority.
Prisons in the twenty first century use the same style of chain of authority in their correctional
institutes. The panopticon brings out a lot of mental effect to the prisoners when they are sent into the
cell. Prisoners in today s society society go through the same mental effects of inmates in the
Panopticon. The ideas of panopticism are relevant to the development of the twenty first century
through building structure, a chain of authority command, guard surveillance, and mental effects that
prisoners go through.
Foucault uses Bentham s panopticon, a design for a model prison, as a symbol for disciple methods
that operates through a variety of ideas. The Panopticon was architectural design that has cells in a
circular structure with a central watchtower that was above the cells. In the article Foucault and the
Architecture of Surveillance: Creating Regimes of Power in Schools, Shrines, and Society by Joseph
Piro he states , The Panopticon is a prison that is built radially, so that one guard positioned in its
center can view all prisoners. Foucault mapped out the origins of the

Maybe Dorothy develops feelings for another man. Maybe when Ed left she was pregnant.
In addition, when Ed returns home, the audience feels cheated out of seeing the moment that Ed and
Dorothy are finally reunited. This is what the audience has been anticipating, but then suddenly on
page 89 they are together. Once they reunite, the story needs to end pretty quickly.
The story currently goes on for another 22 or so pages without any real goal or focus. It focuses too
much on Ed and Hel. The audience doesn t see Dorothy get sick or die.
There s no doubt that the characters are likable and potentially intriguing. It s easy to root for Ed and
for Dorothy. Unfortunately because there are too many characters and shifting timelines, the main
characters, like Ed and Dorothy, don t get as much focus as they should. Once the non essential
scenes, subplots, and characters are streamlined, these characters will stand out more.
Overall, the dialogue is consistent with the personalities of each of the characters and reveals
information about them. However, avoid sounding overly melodramatic, like when Lloyd sees the ring
and says Oh my God!

The Effects Of Mass Media And Communication On The Society
Media Message
Introduction
Behavioral sciences play a central role in figuring out the likely effect of mass media and
communication in the society. Different theories and approaches are used to figure this out. This study
refers to the Uses and Gratifications, and Cultivation theories to consider the effect of the media
article below on individuals. The uses and gratification theory argues that consumers of a given media
uses this media to satisfy and fulfill specific desires and needs. On the other hand, cultivation theory
holds that heavy exposure to a certain media can cause an individual to have an illusory perception of
the life reality based on the most consistent and repetitive message that is given in this media (Fourie,

Animal Companionship
Animal companionship is a widespread phenomenon throughout the world. Humans search for
companionship in animals; they view animals as confidents that will never betray them. Animals
provide many benefits such as reducing stress, helping lower blood pressure, help fight depression,
and improving ones emotional and mental health. The emotional ties that owners have towards their
pets may at times depend on what type of animal is involved. The types of relationships that dogs have
with their owners at times depend on how the owner perceives the relationship. Many owners view
their relationship with their pets as a strong bond similar to a best friend. Dogs occupy a significant
role in their owner s lives.
In the article Dogs Attention to Human Perception: Influence of Breed Groups and Life Experiences
written by Heberlein, Manser, and Turner (2017) tested whether dogs of different breeds differed in
their ability to their owner s perception. They tested their perception by two different factors, through
genetic relatedness between dog breeds and by their working style differences. The study examined
how dogs are attentive to human communication, perception, and attention.
The goal of the study was to further investigate dog s attention to human perception, by focusing on
the differences between breeds. It was expected that dogs that were bred specifically for helping
humans, such as herding dogs. Were more likely to pay more attention to their owner s perception than

Winesburg Ohio Essay On Light And Dark Imagery
The presence of light and dark imagery is a significant motif in the novel Winesburg, Ohio, vital to the
understanding of characters suppressed identities and the hidden beauty found within all of their
seemingly grotesque personas. Throughout the book, darkness is prevalent whenever a character
reveals a secret about themselves to George Willard or the reader, and characters regularly walk
around at night. Many of the most important experiences occur in the dark, and within these moments,
the characters appear their most extraordinary. The juxtaposition of light and dark portrays the contrast
between the characters authentic identities and the pretenses they express to society. First of all,
darkness is present throughout almost all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, color imagery is used to describe the character Belle Carpenter in the story An
Awakening . Not only is she explained as having dark skin, but her thoughts are also black. Anderson
is implying that Belle has lost her innocence, and this idea is reflected when Belle uses George to
make [Ed Handby] suffer (Anderson 186). She does not care about George and is simply using the boy
to get what she wants, her lover, Ed Handby. She is also repeatedly described as a woman throughout
the story, suggesting that she is mature. With maturity comes a loss of innocence, which is reflected in
the description of Belle. Through Anderson s portrayal of the woman, the reader gains a better
understanding of who she is as a character, and what her intentions may be throughout the entire story.
Dark and light symbolism is important because the reader learns more about the characters and their
hidden thoughts, identities, and intentions based on the colors Anderson uses to describe them.
Lastly, the juxtaposition of light and dark is crucial in understanding the difference between the
characters false identities shaped by society and their genuine ones. In Nobody Knows , for example,
dark and light play a large role in George and his secret. While in the dark, he decides to act on his

The Butterfly Effect Essay
Some would say that life is based upon the decisions one makes. Each decision made, each choice
selected, can have great consequences on their future. Like a student choosing to procrastinate on a
report due the next day, resulting in a full letter grade down, causing parental disapproval and life long
regrets, then causing mistakes that lead to more regrets and ultimate failure. Or, imagine, two young
people rushing to their jobs and internships, one precariously balancing two coffees in one hand and
files in the other, and the other person walking fast whilst speaking on the phone. They crash into each
other, boiling hot coffee seeping into pristine white clothing; an incident which led to several

The story goes that young Romeo meets the fair and lovely Juliet, and they fall in love with each
other, but both are the heirs to feuding families. Due to said feud, they end up dying for each other in
the end, ultimately ending the aforementioned feud. So what truly caused their deaths? After all,
Shakespeare wrote his play to be strongly implicative of fate being the culprit; from the beginning, he
notes the couple to be a pair of star crossed lovers (The Prologue. Line 6.), doomed to die because it
was their destiny to do so. If these two met, it was writ in the stars they d also meet death. So was fate
at fault here? If it were, it d definitely make the story more emphatic. Fate is perceived as unchanging,
final. It is definite, and people love circumstances where the odds are stacked against characters.
Viewers and readers are likelier to pity the young couple, to become more emotionally inclined to the
storyline. In other words, fate would make it more romantic romantic as in suggestive of an idealized
reality. In the play, there s certainly a strong element of coincidence, and coincidence is really just fate
dressed up fancy, isn t it? However, there s plenty of room for choice as well. Fate is definite, but not
quite realistic. To be more detailed about the storyline, the play begins with establishing who the
Montagues and Capulets are that is, two of

An Insight Into Contemporary British And Indian Societies
With reference to contemporary Britain and one other society, explain ways in which the societies are
held together through common cultures but are also unequal and divided. This essay will demonstrate
some key concepts in sociology by providing an insight into how contemporary British and Indian
societies have held together through common cultures but are unequal and divided. It will explain how
shared culture, social organisation, values and norms between the two societies may help produce
stability and conformity within themselves. It will also highlight that there are systematic differences
between societies in relation to key sociological concepts. The text will demonstrate this by into
different aspects of their cultures featuring its norms and values, marriage and families, stratification
and Inequalities whilst attempting to link these to two key sociological theories. Norms are considered
to be standard, especially of social behaviour that is expected, whereas values are the Principles or
standards of behaviour of what is important in life.(OFORD: Online) Contemporary Britain has many
norms and values in contrast to Indian culture. The United Kingdom is a crowded country. People
cope with this situation by being reserved and apprehensive in public, politely ignoring strangers,

Narrative Conceptual Analysis of Annie Hall Annie Hall is a critically acclaimed romantic comedy
made in the seventies starring Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. It is directed by Woody Allen himself,
and it is the story of a man who falls in love with women too easily, particularly, Annie Hall. He is
trying to grasp why his relationship with her ended a year ago and goes through several recollections
to come to his conclusion. The way the story is presented shows clear examples of depth of
information, which looks into mental subjectivity and perpetual subjectivity. Overall, the film shows

Woody Allen shows this in two different ways in his film through mental subjectivity and perpetual
subjectivity. Overall the movie is mentally subjective. Alvy s Singer is the main character in the film
and they hear his point of view as viewers observe the movie. His flashbacks, and inner thoughts that
he allows us to hear are an example of mental subjectivity. The audience starts off by listening to the
monologue of Alvy talking about how he feels about life through old jokes. All the while he is looking
directly at the camera like he is talking directly to the audience, and he is. Even though the audience is
looking at Alvy speaking to them, they are still inside his internal monologue. The watchers learn here
that Alvy feels that life is full of loneliness, misery, suffering, and unhappiness and that it is all over
much too quickly. The audience quickly learns that Alvy is a pessimistic person right at the beginning
of the story. Another example of this concept is when Alvy literally revisits his past. He goes into his
flashbacks and is a part in the story there in his current form. In one of the first scenes of the movie he
is in his elementary classroom when younger Alvy is being scolded for kissing girls. He is there
defending his younger self and is fully communicating with himself and others in the flashback. This
is the first occurrence in the film showing his impulse for loving women and sets up the story to show

Raising Minimum Wage
The minimum wage for workers should be increased. First of all, raising the minimum wage would
reduce the amount of people who are in poverty. Moreover, raising the minimum wage would lead to
less premature deaths and allow many people to live healthier lives. Finally, raising the minimum
wage would reduce the amount of crime the occurs. Let s take a look at some proof.
If the minimum wage is increased for workers then there would be a decrease in the amount of people
who are in poverty and allow them to afford their basic essentials for their everyday life.. According to
the article Should the Minimum Wage be Increased? it says According to a 2014 Government related
Budget Office report, increasing the minimum wage to $9 would lift 300,000 people out of poorness,
and an increase to $10.10 would lift 900,000 people out of poorness. To begin, by increasing workers
pay it would lift an amount of people out of poverty, allowing them to provide for their families and

Causes Of Women s Suffrage
Women s suffrage took a long time due to many reasons. Some of the reasons are gender roles and
society. During that time, a woman s job was to take of the home and children and her role was limited
in many ways. Since women s rights and role were so limited, many people did not want women to
vote or get involved in politics. In addition, some people felt that women were not educated or
biologically men were more capable than women. Therefore, women were not seen as worthy enough
to politically participate and vote, so they were denied the right to vote. This ties into society because
it was seen socially unacceptable for women to want to vote so the suffragists were seen in a very
unflattering and negative light by most of society during the 19th and 20th century. Many political
cartoons showed the Suffragettes in a bad light and also warned men that their wives would forgo their
roles at home, become controlling and more masculine because they want to get the right to vote.
Therefore, these cartoons further reinforced many fears in society that women would abandon their
families and husband because they wanted to vote. As a result, most of society did not understand why
a woman would want to vote if her role was in the home and they felt that women did not belong in
politics. This attitude and view by society is why I think it took such long time for women to get the
right to vote. Many women rallied for the right to vote such as Alice Paul, Lucy Burns, Emily
Leighton,

How Nelson Mandela Encouraged His Country to Move On
C. S. Lewis once said, Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have
to let go at some point in order to move forward. Nelson Mandela helped his country cross the
monkey bars from apartheid to democracy, from Once a left wing extremist, Mandela s 27 years in
prison taught him that the only way his country would survive and thrive was if his people learned to
forgive and move on. A willingness to forgive can be all it takes to unite a fiercely divided country.
The new South African government, led by President Mandela, addressed the need for understanding
but not for vengeance, a need for reparation but not for retaliation, a need for ubuntu but not for
victimisation (Volmink 191). Ubuntu, a Bantu word meaning, I am because you are, expresses the
concept that our humanity is inherently bound up with one another. Volmink, argues that we can never
be complete as human beings as long as we are alienated from one another (191).
As part of the beginning of the post apartheid era, Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress
(ANC) established the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), which promoted reconciliation
as an ideal, not only for nation building, but also for individual healing (Muiu 137). This idea for a
safe environment in which both victims and perpetrators could vent and share their stories without
judgement gave the commission it s power. All participants were guided toward reconciliation and

Disobedience In The 1967 Film Cool Hand Luke
Mahatmas Ghandi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the South Africans all have used disobedience in
order to change an unjust norm or law(s). The most common form of disobedience which have been
used in history is to simply not obey the officials of higher authority and protest in order to get the
point across. These protests have been successful because of the mass numbers of supporters but also
because they set out to change an unjust rule or norms. In the 1967 film Cool Hand Luke featuring
Paul Newman, Lucas (Luke) has been sent to jail for beheading parking meters while intoxicated.

Analysis Of Blue Poles
Russian painter and pioneer of abstract modern art, Kandinsky s art and ideas impacted and inspired
many generations of artists, from his students at Bauhaus, to the Abstract Expressionists post World
War 2. Kandinsky contested the boundaries of conventional art making practice through his rare
artistic style that departs from the strict conventions of realism and naturalism formed by the
Academie, and seeks to convey inner spiritual experience by challenging intentions and emotive
capacities. He sought to convey a universal, visual and spiritual language of abstract forms and
colours, along with interpreting his synesthetic experience of music, to create artworks that
transcended cultural and physical boundaries.

Modernist critic, Clement Greenberg coined the term of Abstract Expressionism, and was largely

neglectful ways in which he treats (and does not treat) his family, (but with a measure of trying to

Compare and Contrast the Influence and Consequence of...
Compare and contrast the influence and consequence of European Imperialism on Africa and China
during the 19th century.
Imperialism is when one country dominates the cultural, economic, and political life of a nation
weaker than itself. In the 19th century, Europe was the nation that was dominating both China and
Africa. There were quite a few similarities in the way that European imperialism was changing these
nations. One important similarity was that both the nations had resisted against British imperialism at
one point. However, despite the fact that both these events occurred at the same time, by the same
nations, there were quite a few differences as well. One of the main differences due to the impact of
Imperialism in China ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason there was resistance faced from both these nations was simply because both were
independent nations. One of the major differences in between China and Africa during the period of
their Imperialism was that the Chinese people had a revolution while the Africans did not. In China
Sun Yat Sen wanted to end the dynasty system in China and he did this by starting a revolution. Soon,
the government had learned about his plans and he went to the west to gather support to overthrow the
Manchu Dynasty. He wanted to do this because he believed that China should be a republic otherwise
they would fall behind all the other nations. Sun Yat Sen had created the three principles and
eventually these three principles became very well known and soon another uprising which was
successful ended the Manchu dynasty. China finally became a Republic. Another major difference
between the Imperialism in Africa and China was that China was harder to conquer than Africa
because for one, China had a centralized government. This meant that the Chinese would most
probably have one large military, which it did. Another reason it was harder to conquer was that it was
much farther than Africa was for the British. This led to more difficulties in travelling to get to China.
Also, in China there was one unified language whereas in Africa there were multiple languages. One
more difficulty was that the people were also more unified

mean nothing to them. Certain employees will resume back to the negative feeling regarding their
jobs.
These solutions provide a positive working atmosphere for the nurses and boost morale. The staff
nurses will feel appreciated and it will reflect in their care. Patients care safety will increase and loss
of patients will decrease. Negative impact equals no change in quality of patient care.
New solutions to nurse retention is the use of humanoid robots to work alongside nurses, perform on
command and will be programmed to perform certain duties that a live nurse would do. Of course, we
are still in the developmental stages of full robotic use, ones that can be programmed to perform
certain duties of that as nurse but will work alongside nurses. Robots introduce a new age of
technology that will eliminate some human interaction but will fill in for the lack of human nurses.
Hiring nurses from other countries that have comparable education and experience is the answer to
recruiting nurses that are needed. There is the possibility that these nurses may stay with the
organizations longer than nurses groomed in the country.

John Keats Accomplishments
Many famous writers have careers spanning over decades, though one English Romantic poet was
able to achieve fame in his short career of only five years. John Keats was a poet with a remarkable
ability to perceive the world around him; an ability that resonated throughout his works. Although
John Keats lived an unfortunately short life, he is considered one of the most important figures of the
English Romantic movement because of his use of Romantic literary devices and themes of love and
loss in poems such as La Belle Dame sans Merci and When I Have Fears that I May Cease to Be. On
the outskirts of London on Halloween in 1795, famous Romantic poet John Keats was born. Entering
school at the age of 8, Keats was known for his fierce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regardless of finally achieving success from his poetry, Keats received the news of the good reviews
with mixed emotions ( John Keats: Love, Life, and Death ). Advised to do so by his doctors, Keats left
England and his love, Fanny Brawne, in September to spend his final months in the warmer climate of
Italy ( John Keats: Love, Life, and Death ). By this time Keats had abandoned any ideas of continuing
to write poetry, and lived his final months feeling as if he were already dead ( John Keats: Love, Life,
and Death ). Keats said that he was leading a posthumous existence ( John Keats: Love, Life, and
Death ). After fighting off the disease for almost six more months, Keats died in Rome on February
23rd, 1621 at the young age of 25. One can only imagine the heights to which Keats would have
soared had he lived longer. Despite his short career in poetry, Keats became one of the most popular
and acclaimed English Romantic poets ( John Keats: Biography ). Keats brief career as a poet did not
prevent him from becoming a primary leader of the English Romantic movement. His works, along
with those of Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelly are most frequently connected with Romantic
poetry. The Romantic movement places harmony with nature in high regard and stresses the
development of the individual (The Academy of American Poets). Romantic poetry often focuses on
one idea which eventually morphs into a contrasting idea by the end of the poem (Melani).

My Mother s Resilience Inspired Me Day By Day
Steam filled the dense cubicle apartment as my mother cooked, cleaned, showered and dressed.
Despite her exhaustion and swollen ankles from hours spent on white floors of the hospital, she d
stand erect as a building, asking me to recite the words learned that day and review my homework. I
knew daren t turn on the TV during the weekday. When managing me and work became too much, she
d take me to work. During the commutes she whispered little words of wisdom, one was to be still,
listen and be vigilant .
Soon I had two siblings, and I became the second mother of the family. Our father was a lost cause,
constantly belittling my mother my family and myself for no valid reason; he said to me You ll never
succeed . My mother s resilience inspired me day by day. Susie, my loving aunt and reflection of my
mother also stood by our family side and served as a protector against my father. She told me to keep
going, to never look back, I am important, my grades matter, and that I was beautiful.
My mother and I were with my aunt during her grim diagnosis of ovarian cancer; we sat
apprehensively for hours in the waiting room. We were please at the sound of remission, but for long.
Her last bittersweet moments were spent with us in her apartment. We braided her hair and cooked her
dinner. We wiped the salty mixture of sweat and tears off our faces. When she passed my mother
sobbed and told me she had died of a broken heart. Her husband was akin to my father, so her strength

The War of Bavarian Succession
The War of Bavarian Succession, or sometimes called the Potato War , was a cultural and country
wide conflict between Bavaria, Prussia, and Austria, as well as its allies. During this conflict, were two
conflicting ideals surrounding the people s rights to territory, food, and country wide patriotism. In
addition, these two cultures conflicted politically, economically, and through supplies. Furthermore,

Charles II August was a bavarian electorate and was the Duke of Zweibrücken, as well as a Duke of
surrounding territories and an electorate in Bavaria or in other terms, an heir to Bavaria. Furthermore,
Charles II August and Charles Theodore also had very different ideals for how to run the war. While
Charles Theodore wanted to share resources with Austria and share commercial wealth, Charles
August very much disagreed with his prepositions and statutes. An example of this was when Charles
Theodore tried to give Southern Bavaria away in exchange for the Austrian Netherlands. As a result,
not only did this make Charles Theodore mad, but it made other countries made as well, thus
deepening the divide, some of these people include Maria Sophina of Saxony (one of Bavaria s allies
in the war), the widow of Maximilian Joseph, as well as prussia and neighboring minor german states.

what did they decided to do? They Invaded Bavaria. The War of Bavarian Succession first began when

Exegesis on the Story of the Good Samaritan Anonymous October 26, 2012 Mr. Luke 10:25 36 The passage of Luke 10:25 36 is an essential story because it applies to every Christian today the same way, but in order for us to follow the example Jesus made, we must first understand what the story would have meant to the Jews in Jesus time. The first step in understanding the story of the Good Samaritan is to understand the relationship between the Jews and the Samaritans of the time. The Samaritans were considered unclean by the Jews, because they saw the Samaritans as a corruption of God s chosen people, therefore the Jews were not supposed to make contact with the Samaritans whatsoever. Jesus was instructing the Jews to be an example to the nations by loving all people the way Christ did, which is why he changed the Jews understood meaning of neighbor, from someone who was righteous, to all men. The two religious people were unable to do what God wanted from them in the parable, because they were unable to look past the law for the greater good, unlike the Samaritan, who was up and ready to help because he was not blinded by obligations that would cause him a slight disadvantage, because what was important to him was helping the broken man on the road. This parable is a great example of Christ s love for us, since we are all corrupted with sin, yet he loves us and is merciful to each of us, although it is not deserved. Bibliography 1. • 6. Aquinas Legality Of War Among some of the subjects that Aquinas tackles in On Law, Morality, and Politics is the dilemma of War and Killing. Aquinas sums up the legality of war through three criteria: that the war waged is done by a legitimate authority, that the war is just because the enemy has done something grossly wrong, and the intention of the war is to solely right the wrong. Also we see Aquinas say that the killing of an innocent person is justified if God will s it. Aquinas argues that one of the objectives in order to make a war justified is when a legitimate authority declares it. Typical it is usually a country s top leadership that would count as legitimate authority, however in the United States it is not the President who can legally declare ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If this was the policy that was to be followed, the United States would not be a country since it was private citizens, who according to Aquinas are certainly not legitimate authority, who armed themselves and rebelled against the British. The former colonies who revolted and rebelled against their Imperial European countries would not be awarded their own countries because the people who are ruled are not in authority and thus, according to Aquinas, cannot wage war. The second criterion for waging war because the enemy has done something wrong against the first country I can agree with Aquinas is just. When a country has repeatedly harassed another country, made consistent threats and provokes another country to war by building up their military and does represent a threat to the country and/or the surrounding countries, then I believe it is just for the first country to act and to ensure stability by eliminating the threat. A country who constantly causes trouble within its own borders and/or nearby countries cannot be left about if diplomacy and negotiating for peace goes nowhere, waiting will only stir more trouble and peace will become more threatened if it hasn t already been removed. The third is somewhat unrealistic in my opinion. Throughout mankind, wars have been waged never solely to right a wrong . Lives are lost, land and property are damaged and destroyed, life is hell during war. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although exercise bikes (fitness bikes, studio bikes) received a bad rap for a number of years, being used as clothes hangers, etc., the new versions are sleek, silent, and easy to use. There are two basic types of bikes, the upright and the recumbent. An upright is what most people think of when they think of fitness bikes. The upright is closest to a regular bike, narrow saddle, pedals below the rider, handle bars out front. On the other hand, a recumbent exercise bike has a wider seat with a small back support. The pedals are out front, and the rider is in a reclined position. Both bikes have good and bad points as we shall see. The traditional setup of an upright bike allows the rider to more closely simulate an actual bike ride than possible with a recumbent. The rider is able to stand, assume a race crouch, or a neutral position. Trouble is, if the rider has any sort of back problems, especially lower back, an upright can irritate the condition leading to worse problems. An upright is more difficult to get on and off of because of a higher proximity to the ground. This can be problematic for older or overweight people. An upright takes up less room than a recumbent. You may want to keep this in mind if your exercise area is on the small side. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Admissibility defines how safe is the evidence collected for trial and presented in front of a jury, and would the evidence be sound enough when making a decision in a case ( Casey, 2011, p.56). How evidence is collected and analyze and stored are some of the factors that can have an influence on the evidence in a case. • 11. Discipline And Punish By Michel Foucault In the article, Discipline and Punish by Michel Foucault, he describes a social theory called panopticism. In Foucault s panopticism he talks about the panopticon, an architectural plan that was created by Jeremy Bentham. The Prison structure of the twenty first century uses that same building design as the panopticon. We see how the plague town in the Panopticism shows a chain of authority. During that time, a woman s job was to take of the home and children and her role was limited in many ways. Since women s rights and role were so limited, many people did not want women to vote or get involved in politics. In addition, some people felt that women were not educated or biologically men were more capable than women. Therefore, women were not seen as worthy enough to politically participate and vote, so they were denied the right to vote. This ties into society because it was seen socially unacceptable for women to want to vote so the suffragists were seen in a very unflattering and negative light by most of society during the 19th and 20th century. Many political cartoons showed the Suffragettes in a bad light and also warned men that their wives would forgo their roles at home, become controlling and more masculine because they want to get the right to vote. Therefore, these cartoons further reinforced many fears in society that women would abandon their families and husband because they wanted to vote. As a result, most of society did not understand why a woman would want to vote if her role was in the home and they felt that women did not belong in politics. This attitude and view by society is why I think it took such long time for women to get the right to vote. Many women rallied for the right to vote such as Alice Paul, Lucy Burns, Emily Leighton, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You have to let go at some point in order to move forward. Nelson Mandela helped his country cross the monkey bars from apartheid to democracy, from Once a left wing extremist, Mandela s 27 years in prison taught him that the only way his country would survive and thrive was if his people learned to forgive and move on. A willingness to forgive can be all it takes to unite a fiercely divided country. The new South African government, led by President Mandela, addressed the need for understanding but not for vengeance, a need for reparation but not for retaliation, a need for ubuntu but not for victimisation (Volmink 191). Ubuntu, a Bantu word meaning, I am because you are, expresses the concept that our humanity is inherently bound up with one another. Volmink, argues that we can never be complete as human beings as long as we are alienated from one another (191). As part of the beginning of the post apartheid era, Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress (ANC) established the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), which promoted reconciliation as an ideal, not only for nation building, but also for individual healing (Muiu 137). This idea for a safe environment in which both victims and perpetrators could vent and share their stories without judgement gave the commission it s power. The most common form of disobedience which have been used in history is to simply not obey the officials of higher authority and protest in order to get the point across. These protests have been successful because of the mass numbers of supporters but also because they set out to change an unjust rule or norms. In the 1967 film Cool Hand Luke featuring Paul Newman, Lucas (Luke) has been sent to jail for beheading parking meters while intoxicated. Analysis Of Blue Poles Russian painter and pioneer of abstract modern art, Kandinsky s art and ideas impacted and inspired many generations of artists, from his students at Bauhaus, to the Abstract Expressionists post World War 2. Kandinsky contested the boundaries of conventional art making practice through his rare artistic style that departs from the strict conventions of realism and naturalism formed by the Academie, and seeks to convey inner spiritual experience by challenging intentions and emotive capacities. She realizes, through interior monologues, that she has been held back, that her station in life cannot and will not afford her the kind of freedom to explore freely and openly the emotions that are as much a part of her as they are not a part of Leonce. Imperialism is when one country dominates the cultural, economic, and political life of a nation weaker than itself. In the 19th century, Europe was the nation that was dominating both China and Africa. There were quite a few similarities in the way that European imperialism was changing these nations. One important similarity was that both the nations had resisted against British imperialism at one point. However, despite the fact that both these events occurred at the same time, by the same nations, there were quite a few differences as well. The reason there was resistance faced from both these nations was simply because both were independent nations. One of the major differences in between China and Africa during the period of their Imperialism was that the Chinese people had a revolution while the Africans did not. In China Sun Yat Sen wanted to end the dynasty system in China and he did this by starting a revolution. Soon, the government had learned about his plans and he went to the west to gather support to overthrow the Manchu Dynasty. He wanted to do this because he believed that China should be a republic otherwise they would fall behind all the other nations. Sun Yat Sen had created the three principles and eventually these three principles became very well known and soon another uprising which was successful ended the Manchu dynasty. China finally became a Republic. Another major difference between the Imperialism in Africa and China was that China was harder to conquer than Africa because for one, China had a centralized government. This meant that the Chinese would most probably have one large military, which it did. Another reason it was harder to conquer was that it was much farther than Africa was for the British. This led to more difficulties in travelling to get to China. Also, in China there was one unified language whereas in Africa there were multiple languages.
