Do Hard Things Book Report
Do Hard Things, by Alex and Brett Harris, is a book about teenagers exceeding society s low
expectations for them. In chapter one, the brothers lead off with how this book is not your average
teen book, and how our youth generation is in need of a change. The brothers started their own blog in
the summer of 2005. The boy s blog was called The Rebelution which is revolution and rebellion
combined, and is defined as, A teenage rebellion against low expectations. The boys first posted on
their blog about The Myth of Adolescence, and how they felt that teenage years had turned into a
vacation from responsibility. The blog instantly had other teenagers asking, Why weren t teens rising
against our culture s low expectations? Alex and Brett focus solely on how we have to go out of our ...

Another important point the brothers focus on is the power of collaboration, and how there is strength
in numbers. They give an example on how a girl named Kelsey posted on their blog about dressing
modestly, and guys point of view on girls dressing modestly. Alex, Brett, Kelsey, and David produced
an online modesty survey. The survey was a huge success, and the boys state on how they would ve
never been able to do this project alone. Small hard things are discussed in the book and why it can be
so hard to do these small tasks. Overall the main reasons are they don t go away after you do them.
These small things do not seem important and do not make a difference because nobody is watching.
The final step Alex and Brett mentioned was taking a stand, and mentioned how to do hard things
even if that meant standing alone. Eva, a girl that lives in Germany talked about how kids in her
village drank did drugs, and partied every weekend. Eva felt that she should start living for God. In
result, Eva ended up distancing herself from her peers. Eva s friends stopped speaking to her making
her feel like an outcast. This choice was very hard for Eva to make all she wanted to do was

The Design Argument
a. Outline the Key Concepts of the Design Argument [21 marks]
The design argument is also referred to at the Teleological Argument stemmed from the Greek work
Telos meaning end or purpose. It is an A posterior argument (from experience) based on our empirical
senses and it is synthetic meaning that it is from observation. The argument is also inductive meaning
there a number of possible conclusions. The main basis of the Teleological argument is based on a
designer commonly known as the classical God of theism (hereafter referred to as God)
The outline of the design argument is that the universe has order and purpose and is regular, the
complexities of the universe demonstrate some form of design, a design requires a ... Show more

It is obvious that both are not there by chance. Another analogy for this is the eye is designed so well
for the purpose of seeing. A designer gave each part of the universe a special purpose. Paley makes the
inductive leap to say that this designer is God.
The Anthropic principle is a key feature of the Design argument and suits the theory of Design qua
Regularity proposed by F.R. Tennant showing that science and religion are one in the same. He argues
that human life flourishes on earth, therefore there must have been a supreme designer, that designer
being God. Tennant accepts the scientific reasoning of evolution as a fine balance of fine tuning and
God s chosen way to support life. Tennant also argues that the world could so easily have been chaotic
and that the universe is not chaotic, nature is the outcome of intelligent design. Others argue that the
earth runs so smoothly and everything works together therefore The world is compatible with a single
throw of a dice and common sense is not foolish in suspecting the dice has been loaded cited by Vardy.
James Lovelock of the 20th century furthered the anthropic principle in ways of the Gaia Hypothesis,
engineering on a planetary scale cited by Vardy. He suggests that the oxygen content in the air, the salt
content in the sea and the temperature of the earth are all precise in order for human life to flourish. If

Points to Consider When Giving a Speech Essay
Now that I have delivered my first speech, I feel fortunate to only be held accountable for what I
know. Yes, the introduction and conclusion of a speech are very important, however, the body of the
speech needs to be given adequate consideration during the preparation of a speech. Once the
introduction is completed
I believe the audience subconsciously demands that the body of the speech is well organized and
informative. This is important to ensure that the audience stays engaged in the presentation. Although
I believe I did a decent job in my introduction speech, I now know which areas I need to work on in
the body to make the presentation more complete. After reading Chapter 8 of The Art of Public
Speaking, by Steven Lucas, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My first point was very short. It was so short that it probably should have been included in my second
point. I do feel, however, if I had been afforded more time to speak, I would have balanced my points
out more effectively. As I gain more experience in the public speaking arena, I believe I will be able to
condense the main points effectively in the time I am allotted.
We all want our listeners to stay interested in what we have to say; in formal public speaking, and
everyday conversation. It seems far easier to keep the audience interested in everyday conversation
because the setting is generally more informal. However, in a formal setting, connectives are vital to
keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. I now realize that simply pausing between main points
are not good connectives,in most cases. Pausing, in my opinion, gives the audience an opportunity to
mentally drift away from the speech, depending on the length of the pause. Pausing may be acceptable
if the speaker is using signposts, but when signposts are used, the audience is made aware of what s
coming after the pause, which makes them more likely to keep listening. In my opinion, connectives
are extremely important in certain situations where the audience is only attending out of necessity
such as in a business meeting. In these situations, many members of audience aren t very interested to
begin with. A speaker needs to use effective connectives or risk losing the

The F. L. Q Crisis
The first source clearly illustrates the support for liberalism principles. The war measures act was a
legislation planted by the canadian government, in order to protect the individuals of canada through a
time of warfare or major crisis. In the picture the photographer shows two men protesting the war
measures act during the canadian F.L.Q crisis. The F.L.Q was Quebec nationalist group that became
famous after Quebec declared they wanted to break away from the rest of Canada. The group became
violent and aggressive, by kidnapping the provincial cabinet minister Pierre Laporte and the British
diplomat James Cross. Pierre Trudeau, the prime minister of the time, used the war measure act at a

safety, this would have let the whole family know how they feel about the situation and what they can
do to improve it. Every member of the family at one point in the movie went into silence for violence

The play An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestley is about a wealthy family in pre war England. At this

wealthy manufactory owner and his wife Mrs. Birling is an aristocratic woman who sees herself as the
most powerful, because of her social position. The family is celebrating the engagement of their

Finding Emergency Housing After A Fight Essay
From trying to find a place to get her mother in law s hair permed to having to find emergency
housing after a fight erupted between two seniors (sisters, no less) over dentures to spending
Christmas in the emergency room instead of the living room, Gail s firsthand experience shows how
sticky it can get when you are in charge of your parents.
The book is divided into 60 vignettes followed by questions, including Surviving the Annual Family
Reunion, To Tube or Not to Tube, That Is the Question, and When I Will Means I Won t.
Gail, who also speaks and holds workshops on aging, says the questions get people thinking about
their own situations.
One problem is most people think they are going to just up and die. That s like 10 percent of people
now, she says. This means that most of us will end up needing care provided by others at some point,
like it or not. It s the best of all worlds when you are willing to broach it before the crisis, Gail says.
What it brings up if you wait is more fear. Death is undergirding everything to talk about.
Like Amy, Gail says a meeting is best. The first thing is to bring family together after a letter or a
phone call to tell them it s time to talk about end of life issues. She also suggests using a facilitator,
like a geriatric care manager, nurse or social worker who will cover the basics because, sometimes,
parents will refuse to talk.
And siblings may not be on the same page. During these emotional times, Having ground

Piaget Cognitive Theory And Social Learning Theory
Piaget s Cognitive Theory and Social Learning Theory Defined Theories of cognition assumes that
conscious thinking is the basis for almost all behavior and emotions (Hutchinson, 2015). A central
concept in Piaget s theory is that a schema (a person s own interpretation of the world) is developed
through one of two things; social learning, which is when one watches and absorbs the experience of
others or through direct learning, which is when one watches and absorbs from their own experiences
(Hutchinson, 2015). Individuals are expected to develop schemata as a means of maintain a
psychological equilibrium. An experience that one cannot assimilate creates anxiety, and their
schemata are adjusted to create new experiences and restore oneself back to a state of equilibrium.
Another one of Piaget s theory to reduce the cognitive development of egocentricity, which is self
centeredness (Hutchinson, 2015). Jean Piaget discovered that our capacity for reasoning is developed
in four stages: sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operations, and formal operations stage
(Hutchinson, 2015). Sensorimotor (birth to 2 years) is when and infant gradually learns to coordinate
sensory and motor activities, and develops a beginning sense of objects existing apart from self.
Preoperational stage (2 to 7 years) is when a child starts to discover rules that they can apply to new
information, sometimes they can over complicate the rules which leads to them making mistakes.
Concrete operations

The business of ecommerce is rapidly increasing, minute by minute. Companies are finding ways to
deliver their products to their customers quicker and easier. With this demand in progress, gaining an
advantage is an essential key element to the companies success. To distinguish these viable
advantages, Michael Porter created value chain analysis, which views a firm as a series of business
processes that each add value to the product or service (Baltzan). The value chain analysis is a
valuable source for regulating the greatest possible value for consumers. This topic will be further
discussed with two major leading companies, Amazon and EBay. The increase in ecommerce will
have an impact on the economy as well.
Section2: Industry and Competitors The industry of ecommerce is a look into the future. Many believe
that Time is Currency and one day shipping will change the business of ecommerce as a whole. One
day shipping is not easy and feasible for all companies because the cost is so high. The major leading
companies of this industry are Amazon, Google, EBay, and Wal Mart, as stated in the assignment.
There are many retail companies and department stores who offer one day shipping such as Neiman

Physics Of A Firefighter
The art of reading fire is a very important skill that anyone should know how to do. Firefighters are
the best at knowing when and where they need to attack the fire first. One can learn a lot about what a
fire is going to do before it happens based on the smoke alone. When the first truck rolls up on scene
and there is smoke billowing out of every nook and cranny of a burning structure, the majority of the
time somebody on that truck is going to know exactly where that fire is located before any regular
civilian would.
The first and foremost thing on any fireman s mind is there safety. If the area or task is not safe they
will move their thing to somewhere that is or they will not run into a burning building. According to

It is quite unfortunate that most companies management only deals with the administrative, marketing
and sales, and the production part of the company business, but felt the IT operations should be left
solely to the IT personnel. In the long run, according to this chapter, the information security aspect of
the company will suffer and remain underdeveloped because of lack of attention. However, if there is
any security breach or attack, the top management will be the first point of contact. The top
management will be held accountable and responsible for not adhering to the business practices.
This chapter emphasizes on the need for management to assign responsibilities and also to make sure
that adequate funds are available for the kick off of security programs and its implementation.
Management role and support cannot be overemphasized when it comes to the issue of security
management.
This chapter also addresses the way decisions on security issue should be channeled. This chapter
advised that security program should be driven in a top down approach. In this case, the top
management will drive, , support and give directions for the security program, which will then be
passed over to the middle management staff and then to member staffs.
Also, this chapter illustrates how the control measure should be designed to make sure that access are
well managed and monitored. With this, the chapter went further explaining the three types of

Factors That Affect Business Such As A Labour Market,...
There are many factors that affect business such as: labour market, capital and target market. Ever
since international trading has become more liberalised and popular, the changes of international
economy has also impacted on development of companies, especially effect of foreign exchange rate.
A foreign exchange rate can be defined as the price of one currency compared to another currency.
This essay will focus on some different issues related to the foreign exchange rate, which include a
tendency of losing the value of currency or inflation risk, the difficulty of making future plans, facing
increasing cost and profit reduction. It will then move on to evaluate the solutions for these
aforementioned problems.

Relationship between exchange rate and inflation rate is inversely proportional. It is described in a
report of applied mathematical sciences below (Sek, Ooi and Ismail 2012, P. 1577)

Consequently, using relevant monetary policy is an important role to control influence of exchange
rate on inflation. There are many different monetary policy in each country such as: fix exchange rate,
floating exchange rate. Some countries would choose fix exchange rate policy to reduce inflation, it
means central bank will prevent the home currency supply from increasing too quickly. In this case,
central bank will purchase the supply of own currency from private investors to balance supply and
demand at the fix exchange rate. So domestic currency supply will reduce and inflation is controlled.

Seventh Grade Probability Carnival
The seventh grade probability carnival was one of the highlights of my fall term. Throughout the

Maria Montessori Education Essay
Maria Montessori was born on August 31,1870 in Chiaravalle, Marche, Italy to a financial manager
father and an educated mother who highly valued education. Due to this, Montessori was a properly
educated woman with a talent and passion for higher education which was extremely unusual for an
Italian woman during her time. In the 19th century there was much controversy on whether children
belonged in the work field or in the classroom. Based on their families social class a child would
either go work at factories to help their family make money, or go to school to get a basic education.
In the mid 19th century some European countries outlawed sending young children to work in

This also suggests that teachers should facilitate this process by knowing the best time to teach
children certain things. The third premises of this learning theory is sensitive time which is the right
time to introduce children to different learning concepts. Each child develops at a different pace so it
is important that teachers recognize the correct sensitive times to introduce new concepts based on
individual needs. The prepared environment is the fourth premises of her theory which means that the
teacher preselects the learning materials she wants her students to be exposed to during class time.
Teachers manipulate and prepare the classroom environment so that students have specific choices to
guide their experience towards what is planned for their development. The last premises of Montessori
s learning theory is auto education which is often seen as the main goal of the Montessori method.
Auto education is when children teach themselves by making choices and experiencing things in the
planned environment. Montessori used these premises to create 4 unique planes of development which
track children s development and outline what environmental changes need to be made to ensure the
appropriate learning experience for children. The first plane, infancy, lasts

The movie takes place in multiple locations be it Kentucky, London, Argentina or more. The
audiences are introduced to these locations before each scene through extremely long establishing

Sanity And Insanity In Shakespeare s King Lear
Determining the sanity and insanity of an individual can be extremely hard, especially when you do
not know much about the person. In Shakespeare s King Lear there are many character who seem like
they are going mad, and an example of such a character is King Lear. King Lear succumbs to anger,
rash decisions, and grief driving him to insanity, thus leading to the destruction of the kingdom. King
Lear is a character who displays a great deal of anger throughout the course of the play, he often
allows his anger to take over him. A lot of things that are said and during the course of the play are due
to Lear s anger which is a leading factor for his insanity. Lear loses his temper during a love test when
his daughter does not give the answer that he was looking for, he disowns her calling Cordelia his,
sometime daughter, (1.1.119) and gives her share of the land to her sisters. This in turn leads to his
insanity because in his blind rage he does not acknowledge the sincerity behind Cordelia s veiled
words; unlike her sisters she does not try to flatter her father in order to receive more land, whereas
her sisters have their secrets agendas and do not truly love Lear. In addition to this, King Lear is also
enraged when the Earl of Kent who is a loyal follower of Lear, goes against the banishment of
Cordelia and speaks up in favour of the youngest daughter. Lear is livid with Kent going against him
and banishes Kent, as well reminding him that, if on the tenth day

The Christian Bible, the Hebrew Scripture, The Muslim Koran: Words are Not Important, Our Actions

Matt 13:3 He told them many things in parables.
13:10 Why do you talk to them in parables?
That s the crucial question: Did God, should God, have intended direct and final communication with
us? If so, Jesus certainly failed his mission. There is little evidence that Jesus appearance cleared
anything up or gave us God directly. Wittgenstein, who wanted our language to be clear, knows well
enough that neither the Hebrew nor the Christian God s words could fall within his constructed
linguistic net. They would always come from outside, from the mystical. Thus, where our clarified

Heaven obviously contains no single, authorized publishing house. And what is now printed in many
instances existed first in oral tradition, that notoriously changeable and often obscure medium. Some
divine czar of communication should have allowed into written form only the authorized versions,
with clear Wittgensteinian definition of all terms. Any authoritarian dictator, bent on preventing
discord, could have done a better job, if put in charge of the divinities printing house. Thus, as the
source of a clear, single, religious creed, all sacred texts are failures. They were too loosely compiled.
Our divinities either need a course in exposition and writing or they never intended to offer us a clear
text in the first place. In God s name, why not? For Heaven s sake, didn t they realize what confusion
would result from their laxity? Wasn t it Nietzsche who remarked: Isn t it strange that, when God
decided to turn author, he should have learned to speak Greek? We have the biblical story of the Tower
of Babel, which explains how we came to have so many obscure and divergent languages. But surely
the heavenly U.N. Security Council could have elected to authorize, and to allow us to speak, only one
language, putting all the rest of our vague tongues to shame.

The Importance Of Checking FICO Scores
Why should I check my credit score?
Knowing your score can give you a general idea of what kinds of financial products and loans you can
access. Additionally, if you check your score and it isn t what you expected, this may be indicative of
fraud or identity theft. Checking your score regularly can help you catch things early and clean up any
problems.
In laymen s terms, what is my FICO score?
It is a number created and published by the Fair Isaac Corporation. The standard range is from 300 to
800. The average U.S. consumer has a score of 637. Higher is better. Ideally, you want to be at 700 or
higher. A higher score lets you borrow more money and qualify for lower interest rates.
Where can I get free FICO scores?

These usually do not offer access to your actual FICO score. They offer an estimate of your credit
score. It may be off by a few points. These are primarily considered to be educational tools.
For example, Credit Karma gets you access to a score based on information from TransUnion and
Equifax but not Experian. Credit.com gets bases their score on information from Experian. Mint.com
uses information from Equifax, and Credit Sesame uses information from TransUnion.
How can I improve my score?
You should be paying all your bills on time consistently. Even if you have plenty of money, late
payments reflect badly on your credit history. If you have too much debt for your income, you need to
work at paying it down. If you are living beyond your means, you need to change that fact. Although
financial products may help, this is mostly about earning more and spending less.
Why do there seem to be so many new ways to check my score?
This is due to a relatively recent policy change. FICO has a new program called FICO Score Open
Access.
If you have any long term goals, such as home ownership or college for your child, you should go
ahead and get free FICO scores today. Knowing where you currently stand is an essential first step in

Introduction The Blocker Burn Unit is a six bed Burn Intensive Care Unit located at the University of
Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. It has a long and storied history of providing innovative
burn care to its patients. The Burn unit was initially founded after a massive explosion in Texas City
Harbor that injured hundreds of people in 1944. Since inception, the unit has dealt with disaster both
fabricated and natural. In 2008, the BBU was one of only a handful of services to remain open and
operational after Hurricane Ike landed and dealt massive injury to UTMB. The BBU not only
sustained operations but also briefly expanded to provide pediatric burn care when Shriners Burns
Hospital was subsequently unable to reopen post hurricane. This paper will detail the realities
confronted by the BBU both currently, and in the future, with an exploration as to those implications
on fiscal outlook and provision of care.

businesses flock to the triad, bringing people from all over the country and the world into one

character of the mother are two very important elements. The character of the mother can be said to be

The Juvenile Justice System
Juvenile justice is the section of law that applies to persons under the age of 18 not capable of
receiving sentencing in the adult court system or old enough to be responsible for criminal acts
committed in society. In most states the age of criminal culpability is 18 however, the age requirement
can be set lower in accordance to certain crimes and statutes set by the state the juvenile lives in.

If adult and juvenile case procedures were the same many juveniles would have criminal records
going into adulthood for minor offenses or even just mistakes in judgment that could affect his or her
future. Adults have a better understanding of the laws and what is right and wrong in addition the
consequences of their choices than juveniles do.
A juvenile waiver is occurs when a judge transfers a juvenile into the adult court system. This method
releases the juvenile from any protection the youth would have under the juvenile court system. At this
point the child is put through the same court process an adult offender would face. In most states the
average age a youth would be set forth into the adult system is 17; however in some cases children as
young as 13 have faced adult trials. Normally a waiver into the adult courts is put into effect because
of a long history of offenses by the juvenile or if the crime is well thought out to be serious or severely
heinous.
In 1997 28 states had already put into exclusion the offense of murder from the juvenile system. This
meaning that a youth would be sent directly into the adult system if he or she was facing such a
charge. This number is most likely going to increase that has put more emphasis on the debate of
juveniles sent into the adult system. According to

In Romanian culture, it is incredibly important to respect your elders as well as each other. I deduced

  • 2. Do Hard Things Book Report Do Hard Things, by Alex and Brett Harris, is a book about teenagers exceeding society s low expectations for them. In chapter one, the brothers lead off with how this book is not your average teen book, and how our youth generation is in need of a change. The brothers started their own blog in the summer of 2005. The boy s blog was called The Rebelution which is revolution and rebellion combined, and is defined as, A teenage rebellion against low expectations. The boys first posted on their blog about The Myth of Adolescence, and how they felt that teenage years had turned into a vacation from responsibility. The blog instantly had other teenagers asking, Why weren t teens rising against our culture s low expectations? Alex and Brett focus solely on how we have to go out of our ... They give an example on how a girl named Kelsey posted on their blog about dressing modestly, and guys point of view on girls dressing modestly. Alex, Brett, Kelsey, and David produced an online modesty survey. The survey was a huge success, and the boys state on how they would ve never been able to do this project alone. Small hard things are discussed in the book and why it can be so hard to do these small tasks. Overall the main reasons are they don t go away after you do them. These small things do not seem important and do not make a difference because nobody is watching. The final step Alex and Brett mentioned was taking a stand, and mentioned how to do hard things even if that meant standing alone. Eva, a girl that lives in Germany talked about how kids in her village drank did drugs, and partied every weekend. Eva felt that she should start living for God. In result, Eva ended up distancing herself from her peers. Eva s friends stopped speaking to her making her feel like an outcast. • 3. The Design Argument a. Outline the Key Concepts of the Design Argument [21 marks] The design argument is also referred to at the Teleological Argument stemmed from the Greek work Telos meaning end or purpose. It is an A posterior argument (from experience) based on our empirical senses and it is synthetic meaning that it is from observation. The argument is also inductive meaning there a number of possible conclusions. The main basis of the Teleological argument is based on a designer commonly known as the classical God of theism (hereafter referred to as God) The outline of the design argument is that the universe has order and purpose and is regular, the complexities of the universe demonstrate some form of design, a design requires a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is obvious that both are not there by chance. Another analogy for this is the eye is designed so well for the purpose of seeing. A designer gave each part of the universe a special purpose. Paley makes the inductive leap to say that this designer is God. The Anthropic principle is a key feature of the Design argument and suits the theory of Design qua Regularity proposed by F.R. Tennant showing that science and religion are one in the same. He argues that human life flourishes on earth, therefore there must have been a supreme designer, that designer being God. Tennant accepts the scientific reasoning of evolution as a fine balance of fine tuning and God s chosen way to support life. Tennant also argues that the world could so easily have been chaotic and that the universe is not chaotic, nature is the outcome of intelligent design. Others argue that the earth runs so smoothly and everything works together therefore The world is compatible with a single throw of a dice and common sense is not foolish in suspecting the dice has been loaded cited by Vardy. James Lovelock of the 20th century furthered the anthropic principle in ways of the Gaia Hypothesis, engineering on a planetary scale cited by Vardy. He suggests that the oxygen content in the air, the salt content in the sea and the temperature of the earth are all precise in order for human life to flourish. If the oxygen content in the air ... • 4. Points to Consider When Giving a Speech Essay Now that I have delivered my first speech, I feel fortunate to only be held accountable for what I know. Yes, the introduction and conclusion of a speech are very important, however, the body of the speech needs to be given adequate consideration during the preparation of a speech. Once the introduction is completed I believe the audience subconsciously demands that the body of the speech is well organized and informative. This is important to ensure that the audience stays engaged in the presentation. Although I believe I did a decent job in my introduction speech, I now know which areas I need to work on in the body to make the presentation more complete. After reading Chapter 8 of The Art of Public Speaking, by Steven Lucas, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My first point was very short. It was so short that it probably should have been included in my second point. I do feel, however, if I had been afforded more time to speak, I would have balanced my points out more effectively. As I gain more experience in the public speaking arena, I believe I will be able to condense the main points effectively in the time I am allotted. We all want our listeners to stay interested in what we have to say; in formal public speaking, and everyday conversation. It seems far easier to keep the audience interested in everyday conversation because the setting is generally more informal. However, in a formal setting, connectives are vital to keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. I now realize that simply pausing between main points are not good connectives,in most cases. Pausing, in my opinion, gives the audience an opportunity to mentally drift away from the speech, depending on the length of the pause. Pausing may be acceptable if the speaker is using signposts, but when signposts are used, the audience is made aware of what s coming after the pause, which makes them more likely to keep listening. In my opinion, connectives are extremely important in certain situations where the audience is only attending out of necessity such as in a business meeting. In these situations, many members of audience aren t very interested to begin with. A speaker needs to use effective connectives or risk losing the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The F.L.Q was Quebec nationalist group that became famous after Quebec declared they wanted to break away from the rest of Canada. Piaget Cognitive Theory And Social Learning Theory Piaget s Cognitive Theory and Social Learning Theory Defined Theories of cognition assumes that conscious thinking is the basis for almost all behavior and emotions (Hutchinson, 2015). A central concept in Piaget s theory is that a schema (a person s own interpretation of the world) is developed through one of two things; social learning, which is when one watches and absorbs the experience of others or through direct learning, which is when one watches and absorbs from their own experiences (Hutchinson, 2015). Individuals are expected to develop schemata as a means of maintain a psychological equilibrium. An experience that one cannot assimilate creates anxiety, and their schemata are adjusted to create new experiences and restore oneself back to a state of equilibrium. Another one of Piaget s theory to reduce the cognitive development of egocentricity, which is self centeredness (Hutchinson, 2015). Jean Piaget discovered that our capacity for reasoning is developed in four stages: sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operations, and formal operations stage (Hutchinson, 2015). Sensorimotor (birth to 2 years) is when and infant gradually learns to coordinate sensory and motor activities, and develops a beginning sense of objects existing apart from self. Preoperational stage (2 to 7 years) is when a child starts to discover rules that they can apply to new information, sometimes they can over complicate the rules which leads to them making mistakes.
