impact of three different Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices on a
power system and to analyse their capabilities with respect to various disturbances. FACTS devices
discussed in this paper are Static Var Compensator (SVC), Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor
(TCSC) and Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). The impact on power flow and Power
Oscillation Damping due to these devices is analysed in detail. Simulations based on different choices
of Power Oscillation Damping (POD) signal are simulated for small and large disturbance incurred on
the system. Effect of Linear (residue method) and Non linear (CLF) based POD signals on the system
is shown in the paper. Impact of each device is considered separately followed by a comparative study
between them. All simulations are done with the help of SIMPOW and all figures are plotted in
MATLAB .

Along with the imagery used, the setting whereby the horror takes its place is an important part of a
horror story. This also helps create a daunting atmosphere. Also a specific setting maybe associated

On June 10th, 1999 a gasoline pipeline ruptured in Whatcom Falls Park. This park is located in
Bellingham, Washington where the pipeline was controlled by the Olympic Pipeline Company. This
break in the gasoline pipeline let over a million liters of gasoline flow into a nearby river in the park.
After about an hour and a half the gasoline in the river ignited and caught on fire. The fire burnt along
the river for one and a half miles. As a result of the gasoline catching on fire, three people were killed
with another eight people injured. It has been estimated that total damages to property reach as high as

I begin my research communicating the idea of stability is the absence of open conflict among elite
groups. Among all elite s there are many power struggles, but to keep these conflicts among
themselves their needs to be like mindedness, this in fact is a type of censorship to the public. To

The vast majority of people would not like to admit that they use many different forms of logical
fallacies on a day to day basis. To better explain, fallacies as a definition are faulty arguments, which
at first glance appear to be correct (Boss, 137). It troubles me to say, that some days I perform more
than one fallacy in an attempt to try and get my points across. That being said, the three that stood out
to me the most were Ad Hominem Fallacy, Popular Appeal, and Appeal to Pity (Boss, 141 146).
