The article discusses studies that evaluated the effectiveness of different counseling approaches for treating anxiety and depression, including transactional analysis, gestalt therapy, integrative psychotherapy, and person-centered counseling. The studies found these approaches to be comparable in reducing distress, depression, and anxiety symptoms. Specifically, transactional analysis psychotherapy was found to be effective in short-term treatment based on pre- and post-treatment scale scores. A systematic review also found no significant differences in intimate partner violence disclosure rates between computer-assisted, self-administered, and face-to-face screening methods.
