3D has been around for a long time, the earliest confirmed 3D film called The Power of Love
(Directed by Nat G. Deverich, Harry K. Fairall) , which was displayed at an out house called
Ambassador Hotel Theatre in Los Angeles on the 27th of September 1922. Since then 3D films hasn t
exactly been the best film experience for everyone to watch, I m sure Deverich and Fairall wasn t

extra money rather than films specifically made to be in 3D. A good example is Avengers: Age of

Obviously theirs a mile stone with avatar in terms of the emotional reality of CG characters that can
now I think continue and have acceptance from here on, I think that we re at an interesting stage now

In Sophocles Oedipus the King and Plato s Allegory of the Cave, the main characters begin in a state
of darkness, either literally or figuratively, but throughout the texts, both are able to see the light
eventually and grasp higher knowledge. One difference between the two texts is that the main
character in The Allegory of the Cave is physically restrained from enlightenment. Meanwhile in
Oedipus the King, Oedipus is restrained by his rash, arrogant, and illogical actions. The contrast in the
situation between the two develops the idea that when someone acts solely on intuition, such as
Oedipus, he will be blinded by ignorance. This surfaces in Oedipus the King when Oedipus spurns
religious traditions, logical reasoning, and insightful advice; which then culminates in his downfall.
Oedipus s arrogance leads to ignorance right from the beginning of the play when he disputes the
prophet Tiresias. This dispute shows how arrogant and egotistical Oedipus is because religion was an
impactful part of ancient Greek life, which makes speaking out against a prophet such as Tiresias even
more shocking. When Tiresias refuses to answer Oedipus s questions because the answers are too
painful, Oedipus pushes on for answers. Tiresias denies Oedipus s request again, and Oedipus verbally
attacks Tiresias saying, You scum of the earth, you d enrage a heart of stone! (381). Oedipus is
infuriated by the fact the Tiresias refuses him. Although some may point out that Oedipus is
