What is a Free Verse?A free verse is a type of poetry that is compose of rhymed on unrhymed lines that have no specific metrical pattern.  This type of poetry originated in the early 20th century. This style of poetry allowed poets to improvise and break from the traditional methods of composing poetry.
Step 1 	Select a topic and format for the poem.
The poem can describe a person, place or thing
The poem can be in the for of a storyStep 2Select a tone for your poem. The free verse can be serious, funny, educational or sad.
This will help the reader get a better understanding of the message that poem is trying to depict  Step 3Use words to describe your topic, as opposed to telling the reader about the topic.
