The Natural Form Of Vitamin B9
Folate is a vitamin B9. It is the natural form of vitamin B9. It is water soluble vitamin and has a
complex structure that affects its absorption. It is an essential vitamin for proper cell Growth and
embryo development.
It is naturally found in foods like: lentils, beans, asparagus, spinach, turnip greens, and broccoli.
Folic acid is the synthetic form of vitamin B9. It is added to foods and utilized in vitamin
supplements
The intestine can absorb folic acid better than folate and it is processed more efficiently in the body.
Availability of folic acid is estimated to be about twice that of food folate.

George Wesley Bellow s Rain On The River
The artist George Wesley Bellow s oil painting, Rain on the river, 1908, 15 is s a famous piece of
art located in the Rhode Island School of Design Museum. In the RISD Museum George Wesley
Bellow s oil painting is located in the modern and contemporary gallery. The colors used by the
artist help tell the story of the painting. While observing the painting the smoke from the train
stood out the most, this seems to be the most important part for the curator. The bright modern
building makes George Wesley Bellow s painting stand out because of his use of dark colors.
George Wesley Bellow focuses on the white smoke from the train and the dark colors in his oil
painting, Rain on the river. The smoke coming from the train in the middle of the painting

La Mosquitia Summary
This article mainly talks about the people of Mosquitia region, near Nicaragua and Honduras. Its
is adjacent to the Maya, which is one of the most studied places. The Mosquitia is the most
mysterious areas of Central America. It was in a place of dense vegetation covering a large
amount of land. There were stories about how people would disappear to the Mountain of La
Mosquitia and were never seen again. Chris Fisher, an archeologist decided to go study that area
even though it was said that the soils couldn t support human life. When Fisher arrived, he found
settlements showing social organization and lots of architecture, all showing that there indeed had
been a city. What was most interesting about this article is finding that there were

The Lost Boys Sociology
Media, including movies has been an outlet for many directors and screenwriters to express both
their opinions and to illustrate the social temperature in which they lived while injecting their
own views into their work. Media fossils like The Lost Boys directed by Joel Schumacher not
only provide a thrilling tale for viewers, but also critiques, comments, and upholds different social
norms in an amusing manner as an outlet for often controversial subjects such as peer pressure
amongst young people. The Lost Boys may be a gory film, but to ignore the film s social context
would be to ignore the complexity of the movie itself.
Many young people today as well as in the eighties were under a siege of pressure from their
peers to conform to the group s expectations. When the older brother Michael first goes into David
and his friends tomb, he is blatantly pressured into drinking and performing dangerous acts that he
wouldn t normally do. Michael is frequently coached by the group who even chanted his name
when he becomes increasingly resistant to let himself fall off of the bridge. Michael s interaction
with the motorcycle crew shows that negative peer pressure was just as ... Show more content on

Throughout the decades, these major cultural differencescontained within the borders of Spain have

The violence of the ETAremained backstage for a few months until February, when it continued its
violence in the shooting of Alberto Jimenez Bercerril, the deputy mayor of Seville, and his wife,
Asuncion Garcia. This was significant because it was the first time the terrorists had targeted non

status to be murdered in less than a year.
Global attention focused back on HB and the ETA the following month, only this time putting
them as the victims of political treachery. CESID, the Spanish secret service that became the

their promise to reform the secret service to be merely a joke. CESID had set up a listening post

Use Pop Ups to Your Advantage Use a pop up on your site to add users to your email list. This
method is effective for rounding up lots of useful leads. Make sure you have a message in your
pop up that is catchy and consise. That way, the people who visit your site will likley be
interested in your business and you will gain quality leads. Social Metrics Leverage your
followers to establish your brand as an industry expert. When readers see how many followers
and positive ratings you have on various social media platforms, they will realize the value you
have to offer. Make your numbers look impressive by combining them. For example, instead of
saying you have 10,000 followers each on FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn, go with 30,000
followers on social media. The higher the number you provide, the more impressive it will be.
So, put your followers to work for your brand when you solicit emails for your subscription list.
Play Up Your Client List In the same way the number of of followers you have serves as an

It seems odd to think that mathematics could be closely connected to religious belief systems, but it
is very true. Mathematics, like religion, helps to explain the unexplainable. Humans tend to notice
patterns and similarities in nature, finding them soothing and within reach of understanding. These
calming patterns are very often found in religious buildings, art, and philosophies as well as in
mathematical theory. For example, Sacred Geometry is a method of explanation that finds
incredible similarities between many religions, methods of thought, and philosophies that ascribe

Persuasive Essay About Shrek
Shrek, the movie, should be chosen as the best movie of the year for many reasons, some of
which include the characters clear depth and emotions, the original character designs, and the
family friendly jokes allowed the movie to be accepted as a masterpiece by the public. Sixteen
years later, the movie scores solidly at a 7.9 out of ten on IMDb. The movie cost an estimated
sixty million dollars to create and the fact that aged well, with the movie still looking well to this
day, makes it great. (IMDb). The family friendly jokes still can make children laugh, and adults
can find a few jokes hidden in the movie that the kids don t understand. The movie is a wonderful
tale about an ogre finding more about himself on a quest to save the beloved princess, who finds her
knight atop a donkey. The movie starts out with the best introduction to the character, with the song
All Star by Smash Mouth. The song alone, right at the beginning, sets up the adventure the carefree
ogre is about to embark on. Additionally, it reflects how Shrekfeels about himself. Shrek is stuck
up and only cares for himself, shown prominently in the movie when he talks to others. It was said
by himself, that he went on the perilous quest to save Fiona solely to get his swamp back. Shrek is
a character that is far outside the normality of many main characters in other movies (Emotional
depth 3). In that time, many characters in animated films were the same cliche, always nice. Shrek

The Crucible Of Salem Witchcraft Hysteria
Mid January 1642, 9 year old Betty Parris and 11 year old Abigail Williams, with the help[ of the
Parris slave Tituba, participated in an act that set off a spark that would start the Salem
Witchcraft Hysteria. Wishing to know about their future, Betty and Abigail suspended a raw egg
in a glass over a light. The images would act as messages and clues. Although this seems innocent
enough after this reading they began to display unusual behavior associated with possession
symptoms. This led to a full scale investigation and arrests of the slave Tituba, Sarah Good, and
Sarah Osborne under the charges of witchcraft. Tituba was the only one to confess, this
confession unknowingly saved her from the gallows that Good and Osborne would soon meet.
This first event led to hundreds of other trials and hunts that put both men and women into jail or
even hung. Between February 1692 and May 1693 the witch hunts of Salem began and ended, it
was of time of great suspicion, a time where you could trust even your own family. The halt of
these horrid events came from Sir William Phips, a new royal governor of the colony, when he
stopped court proceeding of those accused, which included his wife Mary Spencer Hull, and
declared all peoples in jail under the crime of witchcraft be released. The beginning of the hysteria,
though, has been under debate between historians for years. Some Historians believe the cause was

Most Valuable Life Lessons Learned In The Losing
The most valuable life lesson I have learned so far is time management. Doing professional
theater full time since I was ten years old has taught me how to find a balance between learning
lines, rehearsal, and school work. This type of management and self discipline helps me get
projects done on time and will help me to be punctual in the workplace as an adult. I learned this
skill from my mentor, Katie Cummings, but also through experience and many late nights spent
catching up from poor time management. In Lessons Learned in the Losing, the author describes
how his son, Sam, overcame his clumsiness to play varsity football. The most important thing to
Sam about playing sports was to work hard and achieve personal goals.Setting personal goals in

Negotiating With The Dead By Margaret Atwood
Negotiating with the dead
We all use writing differently, some use it just to get a grade. Others use it to express themselves.
We all have a different perception on writing and how we do it. I took a look at Margaret Atwood
s Negotiating with the dead and found out you can learn, express yourself and have fun while
writing.
In Margaret Atwood s Negotiating with the Dead, she describes writing from a personal
standpoint, we all write in our own way. It also shows we have that we have positive and
negative sides to writing. She describes writing in different ways to show how many writing
styles/ideas there are. The best examples that distinguish writing are taking risks, express
yourself and amuse/please the reader. These play hand in hand because you have to take risks in
your writing, and you don t know if people will like it or not. In all the pieces you write, you
have to express yourself in some type of a way. To amuse/please the reader you have to try to
connect the text with the reader s personal experience. You have to make the reader understand and
appreciate your writing when he/she is done reading your piece.
Writing is a way in which people express themselves. We write for fun, for popularity, and for
practice. Practice makes perfect, so we practice writing in school. We all have at least had practice
through grade school. Also, we practice writing for the real world when we have a job, because we
all need to learn how to write in a formal way to our

The Education System And The Lack Of Education
While reading the research paper, one thing which is clear about the author is that he is someone
who understands the need of education for every individual. He understands the importance of
education and how it can change someone s life completely. Throughout the paper, author tries to
force the reader to understand the educationsystem and the lacking in it. The author has used
many references and is telling people to work hard as it is the key to success, in order to make
our country flourish and better than other we have to educate our own people and this is the
thinking of the author. My goal in this paper is to bring out the facts and present the reality of
the writing of the author. In this research paper, Henderson has come up with a problem which
is faces almost by every student in his life, the problem when he wants to study but he is stuck
between job and studies, even if he manages the time he gets so tired that he is not able to
complete his assignments. But suppose that he is also done with the assignments and he is
working really hard day and night and is making sure that he gives time to his job as well as his
studies, he does all this because it s all in his hands that whether he studies hard or not, he does
job or not but at some point he is unable to do anything because it is not in his hands and that is
the bills he has to pay for his own studies.
The author is capable of bringing facts in the light and aware the readers about those facts. He is

The Leadership Style Of Transformational Leaders
Everyone views power differently within organizations. Political power permeates
organizational life and depending your own outlook can be perceived in many different ways. It
can also depend on where one is positioned within the organization as to how that power is
perceived. Nelson and Quick described political skill as the ability to get things done through
favorable interpersonal relationships outside of formally prescribed organizational mechanism
(Nelson Quick, 2013, p. 408). CTCA utilizes its political skills within a transformation leadership
style. Per Daft (2015), transformational leaders have the ability to lead changes in an
organizations vision, strategy, and culture as well as promote innovation in products and
technologies (p. 360). As further described in Daft, transformational leadership paints a grand
vision of desired future in a way that it makes the pain of change worth the effort. It inspires
followers to go beyond their own self interest for the good of the group (in CTCA s case the
patient). It elevates the concerns of lower levels of need to higher level psychological needs.
And lastly, it develops followers into leaders. (Daft, 2015, p. 361) CTCA practices the personal
powers of expert and referent power. The expert power is established by their constant drive to be
a leader in the field of oncology and always bringing in the latest and greatest tools to treat our
patients with. This expertise lends to employees respecting the

Social Media Issues In School
Social Media has been quite an issue in today s society. Social media has become an issue with
people of younger generations, especially those in school. Schools today have the biggest
problem with controlling their students and the way they use their social media both on their
own time and during school hours. Authors Steven Anderson and Bradley Shear have both
addressed this problem in today s society in their articles that deeply describe what can and
should be done to resolve the issue in schools. Anderson explains a way that a school can create
their guidelines for device usage in schools while Shear explains how schools have illegally and
legally prohibited social media and device usage in schools. Both authors have written their
articles for mainly adults and especially for those who work for middle and high schools.
Anderson s article is the most informative article of the two as it has a better writing style and gives
schools a better point of view as to how to resolve the social media problem in today s society.
Anderson s article, How to Create Social Media Guidelines for Your School, is a great process
paper type of article. Anderson starts his article with a great explanationof the social media problem
which leads to his seven steps to solving it. Of course this isn t the only way of solving the
problem, his point is to give his audience an example of how to solve it rather than the only way.
This article is backed up with many different resources that are

Levinas vis-Г -vis the Other Essay
Levinas vis Г vis the Other
Philosophy, arising from its Greek tradition of a love of wisdom , seeks to critically examine those
questions most fundamental to humankind; it is concerned with essential concepts (or rather,
questions) of being (metaphysics), rightness and goodness, knowledge, truth and beauty. As a
branch of metaphysics, ontology seeks, in particular, to understand the nature of being (or existence)
by placing objects within categories and organized totalities, while always assuming God as the first
cause (causa sui). (Rebidoux) Yet as most philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle and Descartes each
attest to their distinct definition of being , there is an exception to these ontological contenders:
Emmanuel Levinas. By ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before evaluating Levinas humanity opening theories, however, it seems necessary to understand
the process by which one can come to know the initial Other. For before the subject can enter into a
just, fraternal relationship with the Other, he must be wholly prepared to welcome its face.
According to Levinas, before encountering the Other, one is in a sleeping state within the Order
of Being. Mundane and superficial, this Order allows only for categorization and objectification
of things. At this stage even animate objects are reduced to their formal properties: a cat, for
example, is classified according to its genus and species, recognized only as one instance of cat ; a
human, similarly, is reduced simply to another instance of humanity. (Rebidoux, 26 Jan 2004)
It is from this state of perpetual sleep, Levinas orders, that one must awaken. Whilst sleeping within
the Order of Being, one is instinctually awoken by the Infinite. This Infinite, according to Levinas,
is a consciousness that occurs in revelation of the transcendence of the Other. (Rebidoux) The
Infinite emerge as an appearance of unending depth that overflows both

Sarah Kane Crave Analyse
My over arching idea for my production of Crave is that I want to give the play some context
while also maintaining the theme that these characters could represent anyone. The reason I
want to give the play some background is because on my first read of the play, before I read the
Saunders article in which Sarah Kane talks about the relationships between C and A, and B and
M, a lot of the themes of the play were lost on me because I was so focused on trying to figure
out what was going on. I know Sarah Kane didn t want the characters to get stuck in specific
categories, but by establishing relationships between the characters I think the audience will be
able to focus more on what the characters are saying and less on trying to discern what... Show

I don t want the rest of the stage to be dark though, as that would isolate the characters when I
want them to talk to each other, so the rest of the stage is slightly dimmer then the spots. The
tone and color of the fill lights changes slightly throughout the show, following the color changes
of the cyclorama. The cyc is my central design element for the show. When I read Crave, it
seemed to me that the play was divided into different emotional sections, and I want to use the
cyc to reflect that. When the lights come up after the characters enter, I want the cyc to be a
medium dark purple, which I think helps give the feeling that the play is taking place in the city,
which is what I gathered from the dialogue. The purple should be dark enough that it gives the
audience a sense of unease, as each of the characters relate depressing tales and talk heatedly with
one another. When A begins his speech, I want the cyc to fade into a bright amber that assaults the
audience s eyes when it first appears. This symbolizes how upon first glance, A s speech appears
happy and innocent, which the color yellow is associated with, but that yellow is tainted with
something darker and sinister, making it amber. Then, when C mentions being raped, I want the
cyc to fade to a scarlet red, because this I think this marked the transition to the most violent part
of the play. Then when C says, No one can hate me more than myself , I want the cyc to start
transitioning to a medium blue. As the play continues, I want that blue to get continually darker,
symbolizing the characters sinking into despair. When B says Kill me , I want the cyc and all of
the lights to fade away, implying that the characters have passed away. Then for the last few lines
of the play, I want just the cyc to light up bright white, so you can only see the actors silhouettes. I
want the audience

Exhibition Review Dale Chihuly, the Halcyon Gallery
Dale Chihuly is an American artist, born September 20th, 1941 who is known for his glass
sculptures. One of his most well known pieces is the blue and green glass sculpture hanging in the
front entrance of the Victoria Albert Museum in London (figure 1). His work has included over
200 museum collections worldwide, and I visited his exhibition in the Halcyon Gallery on New
Bond Street in London on the 23rd of January 2012.
The entire exhibition was made up of glass sculptures fitting into several different genres created
by the artist; for example Seaforms , Persians , both created in the 1980 s, and Fiori , which he
created in the 2000 s. Chihuly explored a variety of glass ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As the pieces were 3D, standing out from the wall, interesting coloured shadows and highlights
were created with the lighting on the white walls. The viewers could walk beneath the pieces to
view the underneath of each bowl like disc, and see the detail of different coloured glass swirled
into the piece. The curving edges of the discs created a natural feel to the piece, softening it.
Another part of the exhibition that I found visually stimulating were the Basket themed pieces,
created in the 1970 s, as I thought their smooth edges and insides captured and reflected the
lights really effectively (figures 8 and 9). I also really liked the multiple baskets stacked inside
one another, showing how Chihuly can handcraft the basket shapes on a variety of scales. The
lip wrap on each basket is often a contrasting colour, developed from the tradition of Venetian
glassmaking, and is a trademark of Chihuly s work. I feel the bold colour lip wraps help to draw
the viewer s eye into the centre of the baskets, revealing the smaller baskets within.
I really liked the contrast in the colour of the two chandelier pieces in the windows of the
Halcyon Gallery (figures 10 and 11). The deep red and blues within the Cranberry and Clear
Chandelier and the Dusky Sky Chandelier draw the attention of passers by, encouraging you to

The Stereotype Of A Young Girl
1.As a young girl, I have always associated most white people with the quality of being rude or
racist. For example, not holding doors as I walked behind them or ignoring my friendly smiles
and/or comments. I vividly remember several occasions where I would be walking two steps
being a Caucasian person and they would fail to hold the door open allowing it to slam in my face.
There is also an uneasy stare that is given while shopping, such as following African Americans
around the store to watch them to make sure they are not stealing. The belief that white peopleare
rude is not limited to black people, but other minorities as well because their cultural beliefs and
practices are often disrespected.
2.The stereotype emerged from personal experiences throughout my daily life. My mother would
also agree that most individuals who are white are rude to minorities because of their sense of
entitlement. She would often have to console me because at a young age, I would acknowledge the
difference in treatment I received. In reference to other cultures, their cultural beliefs are often
disregarded and are not given the time to understand. When someone is not fluent in English, they
are often disregarded instead of taking the time is comprehend their statement. Blacks are
automatically characterized as thieves or hoodlums, Muslims are terrorist and Mexicans are all
labor workers, which are incorrect statements and over generalized.
3.As a result, thinking that most Caucasians

Southern Colonies Characteristics
Southern Colonies Attributes Report
This paper is about the different characteristics of the Southern colonies for use in the plausible
war. Based upon the areas of geography and climate, resources, and political and social life, the
southern colonies will prove to be an asset to England in a possible war with France.
The geography of the southern colonies consists of deep wide rivers, the Atlantic coastal plain,
and good harbors. These will all be positive attributes due to the rivers and harbors can be used for
transportation and the Atlantic coastal plain is easy to travel on. The climate however, can be
challenging at some points. The summers are very hot and humid which could be difficult to
function in. But the winters are very mild and would be much better. Overall the geography and
climate seem fall in the middle. The geography is an asset but the climate may be an obstacle.
Natural resources of the Southern region, to state a few, are cotton, tobacco, and harbors. These
are good because since cotton and tobacco are both cash crops we can ... Show more content on

Social life comprises of establishing the Church of England, Indentured servitude, and slavery. The
establishment of the Church of England show once again their close ties and support to the
crown. Slavery accentuates the point that since this is a major piece of the people s lives it
could be a problem if they decide to join the French. Indentured servants seem to be leaning
towards positive. Since most of the masters of the indentured servants were loyal to the crown
and England provided them a passage to this new life in the colonies they will very likely be on
England s side. The social and political life mainly is the connections to the king and will prove to

The Syrian Refugee Crisis: Canada is Not Playing its Role.
The Syrian civil war originating in 2011 has put millions in perilous situations, now involving most
of the international community. With approximately 6.5 million people internally displaced, and
millions more fleeing the country as refugees or seeking refugee status, the Syrian war has become
a worldwide refugee crisis, in desperate need of international help1. Over the past couple decades,
Canada has proved to be a leader in the acceptance of refugees from around the world, especially
during a crisis. But as of today, the country has done little to fulfill its global role in protecting
those affected in Syria, mainly due to processing delays ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the RHSP, it is estimated that Canada accepts 25,000 refugees every year6, taking in
around one tenth of the yearly total of refugees relocated.7 Moreover, when it comes to human
crises, Canada has a history of fast tracking refugee applications originating from the countries
affected, in order to free citizens from harm as quickly as possible. These crises include the 2007
war in Iraq, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines,
together involving thousands of foreigners granted temporary residence permits or permanent
residence in very little time8. But in Syria s case, Canada has accepted a mere 200 refugees, even
though several thousands of dollars have been raised by the 85 private sponsor groups that exist
within Canada and are formally recognized by the government9. This effort on the part of the
Canadian government pales in comparison to several other countries of resettlement. To avoid
increasing the Syrian death toll of more than 100,000 to date, neighboring countries such as
Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan have accepted 1 million, 667,636, and 588,979 Syrian refugees
respectfully10. Many European countries have also done their part. Sweden alone has offered a
new home to over 30,000 Syrian refugees at least for the time being11.
Canada s failure to live up to expectations is in part to do with unreasonably long refugee
application processing time, and poor management of these

What do you think the word agriculture chemicals mean, is it good or is it bad? What I have a hard
time with is agriculture is the many sources of our food, but its equipment and chemicals are
making the earth worst. Even though technology `has made agronomy less harmful to the earth, we
are still putting the harmful chemicals and burning fuel to help grow crops.
The agriculture program in at full force the 10 years and growing a high yield of crops. Soybean
production in 2015 totaled a record 3.93 billion bushels, up slightly from 2014. The average yield

Plate Tectonics Theory
The good thing about science is that it s true whether you believe in it or not, stated Neil Degrasse
Tyson. The Theory of Plate Tectonics is accredited to most of the creations of mountain ranges, the
Centennial Drifting Theory, earthquakes, and other landforms nature has made.
The idea of plate tectonics was formulated in the 1960s (Andel). Plate tectonics explains the origin
of Earth s surface features ( Plate Tectonics BrainPop). Alfred Wegner was just guessing about the
way plate tectonics were formed and no one believed him (Plate Tectonics). Scientists thought all
hills and uneven ground was due to the Earth shrinking. Scientists later found out that plates move
about 5 to 10 cm. per year. During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, researchers found out that
plate tectonics had influenced the composition of Earth s atmosphere and the oceans. After Wegner
died, his Theory of Pangea was proven correct due to further research on plate tectonics
(Kratochvil). Plate tectonics is also a prime cause of long term climate change (Andel). Plate
tectonics also give the rock cycle the ability to keep continuing. ( Plate Tectonics BrainPop)
Plates tectonics are very complex, they have many steps that make them work like they do. Plates
float on top of the mantle, it is the part of the earth between the core. The mantle starts to churn in
circular convection currents as they drag the tectonic plates along ( Plate Tectonics BrainPop). The
Earth s crust is split into

Religious Metaphors In The Story Of Langston s Salvation
Salvation means for most people that this is when their perception changes in life and about life.
Salvation is when someone comes to a certain realization that things around them are changing,
and the way they once looked at life is now different. Salvation relates to the story of a young
individual in this story name Langton that was saved from his own innocence. Langston was a
twelve year old who majority of his time in the church with his aunt. As he grew up he saw the
many changes of people and faces the church. Langston was starting to lose faith. He did not
know if he should believe there was a Jesus. Langston gave up hope on Jesus when he was lost
and confused, and he felt there was no one there to help him in his time of need. Hughes faced
some challenging experiences and this demonstrated to him how adults may confuse children,
especially when adults don t take the time to explain the religious metaphors children are trying to
understand. Langston s, Auntie Reed is primarily responsible for his loss of faith at an early age.
Langston s aunt should of taken the time explaining to Langston that Jesus words were as they
appear in The Sermon on the Mount serve as a useful guide for living one s life, she told him that
when you were saved you saw a light, and something happened to your insides! At that point when
Langston heard those words he was more confused than before. Langston wanted to make sense of
the information his Auntie Reed was sharing with him but he

Essay on Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town Analysis
The poem anyone lived in a pretty how town by E.E. Cummings talks about the cycle of life and
the importance of structure, symbolism, and language of the poem. For instance, the poem has
nine stanzas, which has a rhyming pattern of AABC. The rhythm of the poem is significant for it
supports one of themes, the cycle of life. Cumming uses season to explain the poem s progress.
spring summer autumn winter (3) and sun moon stars rain (8) symbolizes time passing, which
represents life passing. In the poem, as the seasons and skies rotate, life continues along with

The plot of anyone lived in a pretty how town is simple, but it is the choices of language that
makes this poem complex. The story begins with anyone, which can be considered as a specific
person. Anyone is a guy who the Women and men, or the someones and everyones, of the town
don t care about, because he is different than they are. Although, the children of the town can see
the love of Anyone and Noone, but even they begin to dislike the difference of Anyone as down
they forgot as up they grew. (10) Anyone and Noone soon later are buried side by side, while the
people carry on living their lives, learning nothing from Anyone and Noone. Cumming uses his
own grammar to describe the relationship of Anyone and Noone. Anyone is not just anyone so
using anyone s any was all to her (16) shows the appreciation for Anyone s individuality. Because
of Anyone s any , this confronts the someones (17) or everyones (17) making Anyone unique.
The poem reveals the love that Anyone and Noone shares. This love they have, everyones does
not have. When Anyone sang his didn t and danced his did (4) and Noone laughed his joy and
cried his grief (14), gave differences of when someones and everyones laughed their cryings and
did their dance (18). Rhythmically, the poem can be thought as a free verse. Basically, it is in past
tense. For example, at the point when Anyone

How Did Walt Disney Affect The World
If I say the word Disney , most people would automatically think of Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan,
and all of the beloved characters that we ve grown up with and grown fond of, right? Hollywood
s best known studio, Walt Disney Animation, wasn t always a billion dollar organization, but still,
after almost 100 years, manages to capture the hearts and captivate the eyes of the world. In this
expository essay, I will explain how Disney began, how it grew, and how it still manages to affect
the world, even after Walt Disneys death. Disney, the best known studio in Hollywood, California,
started small. Walt Disney, and his brother Roy, produced many short live action and animated
films called the Alice Comedies in the back of a small office from Holly Vermont Reality in Los
Angeles in 1923, with the rent only $10 a month. By month four, the staff moved to a larger
building, which read Disney Bros. Studio on the window. One year later, Walt and Roy moved
into a Hyperion Avenue lot in Los Angeles ( The Walt Disney Studios History ). After failed
attempts to make the audience enjoy the Alice Comedies, Disney created Oswald the Lucky
Rabbit. Universal Pictures distributed it, but Disney lost the contract in February of 1928 to
Charles Mintz. In 1928, Disney created a mouse, whom his wife wanted to call Mortimer , but he
chose the name Mickey , with his chief animator, Ub Iwerks. Disney s first sound film, Steamboat
Willie, starring Mickey, released November 18, 1928. The third of

Writing In The Help
Writing in The Help Writing has had a profound place in human history. It has allowed humanity
to prosper, by recording our knowledge and preserving our thoughts. Kathryn Stockett s historical
fiction novel The Help, about the experiences of black maids in 1960 s Mississippi, features many
symbols and examples of the powers and advantages of writing. This includes the book and
articles Skeeter writes, Aibileen s writing, and the written and unwritten laws of the South. Racial
prejudice is alive and well in Jackson, and indeed almost all of the South. However, various people
are shown trying to change this. But how are they planning to accomplish this in a world dangerous

Aibileen is shown to be a great writer and instrumental in getting Skeeter s book off the ground.
Ever since Aibileen dropped out of school to pay the bills, she has been practicing her writing in
the aforementioned prayer book. Indeed, Aibileen s son, Treelore Clark, had been working on a
novel about working as a black man in Jackson which inspired Skeeter s book. Unfortunately,
Treelore was killed before he was able to finish his book and testify against the racism and
prejudice of the South. Even with this seed of dissent motivating her, Aibileen was unable to
bring herself to talk about her experiences until she wrote them down. For Aibileen, writing is
like writing to God she is wholly truthful. it allows her to be more truthful and organize her
thoughts, which proves instrumental in telling her story: telling the truth. In The Help, writing is
used to allow the truth to be told about their unique experiences. Writing has the power to
solidify ideas, for better or for worse. Putting things on paper makes it much clearer than anything
you keep in your head. For example, when Skeeter Phelan stumbles upon a book describing all
the Jim Crow laws of the South, they suddenly become much more profound much more real.
Skeeter had been exposed to these ideas for her entire life ( We all know about these laws ), but
this was the first time (she s) seen them written down .By writing them down, the rules became
more powerful and more like actual laws rather than something that can be

Stick With A Strategic Plan
In today s society, it is very easy to get distracted and become lost. From an early age we are
taught how to manage our time, how to set up goals, and how to make plans to achieve those
goals to avoid becoming lost or distracted. But the trick can be sticking to our goals, as with most
people their goals and priorities change, or they accomplish their goals through hard work and
dedication. A business, however should stick with its strategic plans, as coming up with one plan
but going in a direction separate from the plan can cause trouble and quite possibility force the
business to shut down. If an individual or business accomplishes their goals what then? Well we

Operational plans are created by the frontline or lower level managers who are on the floor with
the employees. They are aimed at the lowest levels of the business, and ...are focused on the
specific procedures and processes that occur (Hartzell, n.d.). Frontline managers determine how
the tactical plans will be reached with operational plans. Operational plans become more specific
by focusing on how many employees are scheduled to work, how many shifts will be needed, and
how much of the annual budget is spread across the different departments of the company. With the
operational plans in place the business can move forward with achieving its goals as set by the
tactical and strategic plans (Solomon et al., 2012). Without formal planning, a company might
misunderstand its purpose, the focus of the business will be unclear to managers, and resources
will wasted. ...the sum total of the organization s effort might yield suboptimal results or outcomes
or yield optimal results that do not directly or indirectly contribute to the organization s purpose for
existence (Simerson, pg. 2). With this mind, it becomes clear why it is so important for businesses
to come up with the right strategic plans, which lead to creating the right tactical plans, which lead
to creating the right operational plans, so that the goals that have been set by the strategic plans can

The Intense Debate Over Cloning
Technology has enabled people to realize many things their ancestors would not have even dreamed
of. Cloning is absolutely one of them. Having identical twins without being born on the same they
is like a dream come true. But what is cloning exactly? Cloning ,particularly in biotechnology, is the
process used to create copies of DNA fragment, cells, or organisms. Attempts at cloningmight go
back to much earlier times such as the attempt made by Hans Dreisch in the late 1800 s to clone
a sea urchin, but it was not until 1951, when the first successful clone of frog egg was created,
that goal was finally achieved. Still, the world had to wait for another 44 years before the first
mammal was cloned. It was certainly sensational when the first cloned mammal, a sheep named
Dollywas born on 5th July 1996. Since it was a milestone in humanstory, Dolly gained a world
wide fame overnight and took its place in the front pages of many newspapers and even tabloids
next to celebrities. However, there is a painful twist to this otherwise happy story because the
death of Dolly at the age of six brought about an intense debate particularly about the ethical side
of cloning and it has been a controversial issue ever since. Despite of all the debate it has caused

AIA Contract
In the instant matter, the 2007 settlement agreement reflects an intent to modify the prior AIA
Contract, not to fully extinguish it. Or, in the words of Judge Wallace, the 2007 settlement
agreement was merely a narrowing of the universe of potential claims, (E. 2283), but not an

at 214, all the rights and obligations of the prior agreement no exceptions. (E. 2267, 2269;

consistent with National Surety s concessions to this effect demonstrate that it was not clearly and

Male Deception In Much Ado About Nothing
Much Ado About Nothing is a study of male deception, taking varying forms of their deceit,
betrayal and treachery. So the phrase, Men were deceivers ever, proves to be a very accurate
representation of Much Ado About Nothing. Moreover, characters such as Don John, Borachio and
even Don Pedro and Claudio prove Balthasar s phrase to ring true, through their respective roles and
intentional actions in the play. Don John, who is notably the main antagonist, is a stagnant portrayal
of Balthasar s quote. Not only does he spend his every waking moment stirring trouble, but most
importantly he takes satisfaction in it. He contingently makes it his mission and purpose to reign
havoc, and to deceive characters of another s false wrongdoing. For reference,

Somjit Luancharoen (1995, no page number) gave the definition of consumer behavior as the

Comparison Of Harper s Weekly And Time Magazine
Have you ever thought about what people back in the day read in their spare time since we all
just immediately get on our phones? I compared and contrasted the August 2015 Time magazine,
and the June 4th 1864 edition of Harper s Weekly. I have come to the realization that when
people say times have changed, they are not kidding. It is crazy to read in between the lines and
see how Americans lived over 150 years ago. The way things are placed and discussed are very
different in both Harper s Weekly and TimeMagazine, but the two are similar in some ways also.
Although there are many differences between the two, there are some similarities. I found that both
have an article or two about foreign countries. By having these articles this means that Americans
have always been interested in what other countries are up to. For example, in Time Magazine on
page 11 there is an article written by Julia Zorthian that talks about Brazil turning against their
president, and the antigovernment rallies. Another example in Time Magazine is on page 40 and it
talks about the explosion that happened in a chemical warehouse in Tianjin, China. They said that
this explosion is a symbol of the way others look at China. The covers on both of the magazines are
pictures of political figures that are impacting and did impact Americans in the United States. In
Time Magazine Donald Trump is on the cover, and in Harper s Weekly William T. Sherman is on

Ownership is the act and state of having something in control or possession. Aristotle claims that
owning tangible objects help to build moral character, while Jean Paul Sartre proposes that
ownership extends beyond to include intangible things such as skill or knowledge. Different objects
can have varying effects on the development of selfidentity, leading us to who we grow as a person.
A sense of self can be a reflection to what we own, whether it is a tangible or not. Ownershipof
intangible and tangible objects play a vital role for the growth of self identity, as it teaches crucial
morals in life to develop personal character.
Through the ownership of tangible objects, we as humans, have the ability to attain a perception of
responsibility and the development of moral character. Ownership provides a guide towards
important life lessons such as maturity and responsibility, which eventually contributes to shaping
identity. Responsibility is not a simple skill someone can learn without personal experiences: for ...

Owning a loved pet, or owning valuable memories that can never be forgotten, it proves that
owning these artifacts and characteristics, brings out the unique personality traits of someone.
Someone reminiscing their childhood memories can show the importance or value of having a
childhood. Ownership can truly reveal crucial life lessons you may never learn with the absence
of ownership. The skills you obtain become your identity, which shows how ownership and moral
character associate with one another. Owning something does not specifically have to be a
physical object, as long as you can control what it is. Once I obtain skills and knowledge, no one
can diminish them from my ownership. Though the moment may fade, the memory is everlasting.
Ownership is a critical building block to who are you and who you can eventually become in the

The Anatomy And Physiology Of Blood Vessels Essay
Circulation
1.Compare and contrasts the anatomy and physiology of blood vessels: arteries, veins and
capillaries. Why are these differences significant in the overall function of the circulatory system?
Please be specific.
The arteries are thicker and more elastic because of the fast pumping of blood that leaves the heart
to other organs to the body, as where the veins are small due to the low blood flow because of the
slow movement from the capillaries to the veins not like the forceful pumping from the heart to the
arteries to the rest of the body. The Oxygenated blood goes through the arteries except the
pulmonary arteries. Then Deoxygenated blood goes through the veins except the pulmonary veins.
The lumen of the artery is narrow, were as the lumen of the veins is wider. There are not valves in
the arteries, were as the valves are present in veins. In the arteries, endothelial cells of tunica
intima are more long then wider, and have more elastic membrane that is more developed. Then
the Tunica media is more muscular, and the tunica extrema is not as developed. In veins, the
endothelial cells of tunica intima are not as long and have more elastic membrane then being
developed. The Tunica media is less muscular were the tunica extrema is more developed.
Arteries are deep within and the veins are more superficial. Capillaries are microscopic vessels;
they carry blood from the arterioles then go to the small veins or venules. The wall of the capillary

1993 Pulitzer Prize For Photography
The picture above won the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Photography. As shown, this picture is very
depressing, sad, heartbreaking, and unfortunate. Any sorrowful word that can think, will describe
this photo. The first time I saw it at the Newseum last year, I cried because it touches my heart to
see a young starving child yearning for food to eat at the middle of nowhere, but can t find one.
Just looking at this photo explains the emotions. I ll just begin by describing the story behind this
particular photo.
Similarly to the emotions from the photo, the story behind it is also tragic. It starts off with a South
African journalist, Kevin Carter, who was assigned to document the recent political events
occurring in Sudan. As he passes through a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, there are two point on this image. The first is the girl and the second is the vulture. In
between both points there is an imaginary line that connecting the point. This line directs the eyes
to move from one point to the other point. Speaking of lines, this picture is an example of a
diagonal line because the subjects are in an angle. The imaginary line between the subjects, but also
in the picture, carries some form of distance and depth. Another element is the focus area. It is clear
that the subjects are more in focus than the background. This is very important because the
photographer might have used this technique to send a very powerful message about starvation and
the need for aid in Sudan. In addition, this scene was in a moment because if the vulture could have
flown away, this picture would have a different meaning. The contents are strong, naturally placed,
and balanced. Related to the focus area, the visual weight or emphasis is mostly on the child. Again
that send a strong message. Lastly, I want to mention that the picture is balanced because both
subjects are flat and the center of gravity is the distance between

the nature of mortality and of man s inherent ignorance of the inevitable. Berman s advice brings to

A prominent feminist, novelist and sociologist, Gilman, in her final year, 1935, chose death over
terminal cancer. Rather than suffering any longer, she made the decision to commit suicide, and
made her decision public. She began to receive letters from fans, family and friends. Regarding
these letters, in her article, The Dying of Charlotte Perkins Gilman , Denise D. Knight notes that,
Despite the fact that Gilman s death took place nearly sixty five years ago, long before society
became receptive to such issues as assisted suicide and dying with dignity, not a single
correspondent attempted to dissuade her from carrying out her plans. On the contrary, the letters
demonstrate not only an unconditional support for Gilman s philosophical position but also an
extraordinary amount of compassion, respect, and acceptance during a time when it was widely
considered that suicide would virtually guarantee eternal damnation

mine sites, such as reducing the labor exposure to landslides and geotechnical risks. This is the
main reason for the deployment of automated systems in the mine sites through the MOF project.
It does not only reduces the risk but also reduces the cost of money spent on labors in order to
increase the production when there is a sudden demand for the product and also reduces the

This is depicted when all electronics and gadgets in the community stop functioning when the
Martians land. The residents appear defenseless. This becomes more complicated and
heightened when they realize that none of their can do absolutely nothing to defend them. Even
the atomic bomb that is dropped, does nothing to harm the Martians because they have a force
field around their ship; they are literally impenetrable. This scene is emblematic of the Iron
Curtain that was raised to separate the Soviet Union from the rest of the world. Once the bomb
falls and fails, there are scenes of riots, looting, and mass hysteria; a physical reflection of the
anxiety felt all over the nation during the Cold War. Although weapons and technology does
nothing to stop the threat, religion and nature, combined, rise to defeat it. After a evacuation of
the majority of the town, Dr. Clayton Forrester (Gene Barry) has to figure out how to stop the
impeding threat of destruction. Taking refuge in the last buildings, a church (again a reflection of
how religion was held in America), Forrester encounters a mass of people in prayer; praying for
all it to end. After Forrester arrives in the town, the attacks seem to abruptly end, and the Martians

Othello
Iago, in Shakespeare s Othello, is a deceiving character because he tells lies in order to get what he
wants. He interacts with people only to manipulate them, but most importantly he never reveals his
true feelings or motives. Iago might say things that suggest what his motive is, but he soon
contradicts himself with another suggestion making it extremely difficult to understand him.
Although Iagos true motives cannot be determined, some motives could be jealousy, the enjoyment
of seeing people suffer, or power. Iago s jealous of Othelloand Cassio because he thinks that both
of them slept with his wife, Emilia. In Iago s first soliloquy at the end of act 1, Iago says that
Othello might have slept with his wife and even though this is a... Show more content on

Iago is a very clever person and he enjoys seeing how idiots make fools of themselves. One of
these idiots is Iago s buddy, Roderigo. Roderigo is a typical wealthy, Venetian aristocrat who is
madly in love with Desdemona and he has given Iago the task of helping him woo her. Iago uses
this to his advantage, even though Iago uses Roderigo to ruin Cassio and Othello, he gets some
amusement by watching Roderigo prance around and go nuts over Desdemona. Iago also finds it
funny when Roderigo wants to go kill himself after he finds out that Desdemona married Othello.
There are multiple times throughout the play where Roderigo should have known that Iago was
just using him for money and some laughs and since Roderigo doesn t pick up on this, Iago can
use Roderigo to his advantage.
Power is probably the most important motive. Iago is very conniving and clever and he can use
this to manipulate people. It is clearly seen that Iago thrives for power because he loves
manipulating people so that they doe exactly what he says. He does this to Roderigo many
times, like when Iago tells Roderigo to give him all of his money and when he convinces
Roderigo to kill Cassio. He even controls Othello to the point that Othello suspects his wife and
decides to kill her. Iago s thirst for power is also seen when Cassio is appointed to be Othello s
lieutenant because this was, supposedly, the basis for his revenge. He really wanted to be
lieutenant because it is a

In the RISD Museum George Wesley Bellow s oil painting is located in the modern and contemporary gallery. The colors used by the artist help tell the story of the painting. The Lost Boys Sociology Media, including movies has been an outlet for many directors and screenwriters to express both their opinions and to illustrate the social temperature in which they lived while injecting their own views into their work. Media fossils like The Lost Boys directed by Joel Schumacher not only provide a thrilling tale for viewers, but also critiques, comments, and upholds different social norms in an amusing manner as an outlet for often controversial subjects such as peer pressure amongst young people. The Lost Boys may be a gory film, but to ignore the film s social context would be to ignore the complexity of the movie itself. Many young people today as well as in the eighties were under a siege of pressure from their peers to conform to the group s expectations. When the older brother Michael first goes into David and his friends tomb, he is blatantly pressured into drinking and performing dangerous acts that he wouldn t normally do. Michael is frequently coached by the group who even chanted his name when he becomes increasingly resistant to let himself fall off of the bridge. • 11. Persuasive Essay About Shrek Shrek, the movie, should be chosen as the best movie of the year for many reasons, some of which include the characters clear depth and emotions, the original character designs, and the family friendly jokes allowed the movie to be accepted as a masterpiece by the public. Sixteen years later, the movie scores solidly at a 7.9 out of ten on IMDb. The movie cost an estimated sixty million dollars to create and the fact that aged well, with the movie still looking well to this day, makes it great. (IMDb). The family friendly jokes still can make children laugh, and adults can find a few jokes hidden in the movie that the kids don t understand. The movie is a wonderful tale about an ogre finding more about himself on a quest to save the beloved princess, who finds her knight atop a donkey. The movie starts out with the best introduction to the character, with the song All Star by Smash Mouth. The song alone, right at the beginning, sets up the adventure the carefree ogre is about to embark on. Additionally, it reflects how Shrekfeels about himself. Shrek is stuck up and only cares for himself, shown prominently in the movie when he talks to others. It was said by himself, that he went on the perilous quest to save Fiona solely to get his swamp back. Shrek is a character that is far outside the normality of many main characters in other movies (Emotional depth 3). In that time, many characters in animated films were the same cliche, always nice. The Crucible Of Salem Witchcraft Hysteria Mid January 1642, 9 year old Betty Parris and 11 year old Abigail Williams, with the help[ of the Parris slave Tituba, participated in an act that set off a spark that would start the Salem Witchcraft Hysteria. Wishing to know about their future, Betty and Abigail suspended a raw egg in a glass over a light. The images would act as messages and clues. Although this seems innocent enough after this reading they began to display unusual behavior associated with possession symptoms. This led to a full scale investigation and arrests of the slave Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osborne under the charges of witchcraft. Tituba was the only one to confess, this confession unknowingly saved her from the gallows that Good and Osborne would soon meet. This first event led to hundreds of other trials and hunts that put both men and women into jail or even hung. Between February 1692 and May 1693 the witch hunts of Salem began and ended, it was of time of great suspicion, a time where you could trust even your own family. The halt of these horrid events came from Sir William Phips, a new royal governor of the colony, when he stopped court proceeding of those accused, which included his wife Mary Spencer Hull, and declared all peoples in jail under the crime of witchcraft be released. The beginning of the hysteria, though, has been under debate between historians for years. • 14. Negotiating With The Dead By Margaret Atwood Negotiating with the dead We all use writing differently, some use it just to get a grade. Others use it to express themselves. We all have a different perception on writing and how we do it. I took a look at Margaret Atwood s Negotiating with the dead and found out you can learn, express yourself and have fun while writing. In Margaret Atwood s Negotiating with the Dead, she describes writing from a personal standpoint, we all write in our own way. It also shows we have that we have positive and negative sides to writing. She describes writing in different ways to show how many writing styles/ideas there are. The best examples that distinguish writing are taking risks, express yourself and amuse/please the reader. These play hand in hand because you have to take risks in your writing, and you don t know if people will like it or not. In all the pieces you write, you have to express yourself in some type of a way. To amuse/please the reader you have to try to connect the text with the reader s personal experience. You have to make the reader understand and appreciate your writing when he/she is done reading your piece. Writing is a way in which people express themselves. We write for fun, for popularity, and for practice. Practice makes perfect, so we practice writing in school. We all have at least had practice through grade school. Also, we practice writing for the real world when we have a job, because we all need to learn how to write in a formal way to our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The author has used many references and is telling people to work hard as it is the key to success, in order to make our country flourish and better than other we have to educate our own people and this is the thinking of the author. My goal in this paper is to bring out the facts and present the reality of the writing of the author. In this research paper, Henderson has come up with a problem which is faces almost by every student in his life, the problem when he wants to study but he is stuck between job and studies, even if he manages the time he gets so tired that he is not able to complete his assignments. But suppose that he is also done with the assignments and he is working really hard day and night and is making sure that he gives time to his job as well as his studies, he does all this because it s all in his hands that whether he studies hard or not, he does job or not but at some point he is unable to do anything because it is not in his hands and that is the bills he has to pay for his own studies. • 16. The Leadership Style Of Transformational Leaders Everyone views power differently within organizations. Political power permeates organizational life and depending your own outlook can be perceived in many different ways. It can also depend on where one is positioned within the organization as to how that power is perceived. Nelson and Quick described political skill as the ability to get things done through favorable interpersonal relationships outside of formally prescribed organizational mechanism (Nelson Quick, 2013, p. 408). CTCA utilizes its political skills within a transformation leadership style. Per Daft (2015), transformational leaders have the ability to lead changes in an organizations vision, strategy, and culture as well as promote innovation in products and technologies (p. 360). As further described in Daft, transformational leadership paints a grand vision of desired future in a way that it makes the pain of change worth the effort. It inspires followers to go beyond their own self interest for the good of the group (in CTCA s case the patient). It elevates the concerns of lower levels of need to higher level psychological needs. And lastly, it develops followers into leaders. (Daft, 2015, p. 361) CTCA practices the personal powers of expert and referent power. Schools today have the biggest problem with controlling their students and the way they use their social media both on their own time and during school hours. Authors Steven Anderson and Bradley Shear have both addressed this problem in today s society in their articles that deeply describe what can and should be done to resolve the issue in schools. Anderson explains a way that a school can create their guidelines for device usage in schools while Shear explains how schools have illegally and legally prohibited social media and device usage in schools. Both authors have written their articles for mainly adults and especially for those who work for middle and high schools. Anderson s article is the most informative article of the two as it has a better writing style and gives schools a better point of view as to how to resolve the social media problem in today s society. Anderson s article, How to Create Social Media Guidelines for Your School, is a great process paper type of article. Anderson starts his article with a great explanationof the social media problem which leads to his seven steps to solving it. Of course this isn t the only way of solving the problem, his point is to give his audience an example of how to solve it rather than the only way. • 19. Levinas vis-Г -vis the Other Essay Levinas vis Г vis the Other Philosophy, arising from its Greek tradition of a love of wisdom , seeks to critically examine those questions most fundamental to humankind; it is concerned with essential concepts (or rather, questions) of being (metaphysics), rightness and goodness, knowledge, truth and beauty. As a branch of metaphysics, ontology seeks, in particular, to understand the nature of being (or existence) by placing objects within categories and organized totalities, while always assuming God as the first cause (causa sui). (Rebidoux) Yet as most philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle and Descartes each attest to their distinct definition of being , there is an exception to these ontological contenders: Emmanuel Levinas. Before evaluating Levinas humanity opening theories, however, it seems necessary to understand the process by which one can come to know the initial Other. For before the subject can enter into a just, fraternal relationship with the Other, he must be wholly prepared to welcome its face. According to Levinas, before encountering the Other, one is in a sleeping state within the Order of Being. Mundane and superficial, this Order allows only for categorization and objectification of things. At this stage even animate objects are reduced to their formal properties: a cat, for example, is classified according to its genus and species, recognized only as one instance of cat ; a human, similarly, is reduced simply to another instance of humanity. (Rebidoux, 26 Jan 2004) It is from this state of perpetual sleep, Levinas orders, that one must awaken. Whilst sleeping within the Order of Being, one is instinctually awoken by the Infinite. This Infinite, according to Levinas, is a consciousness that occurs in revelation of the transcendence of the Other. (Rebidoux) The Infinite emerge as an appearance of unending depth that overflows both ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. Sarah Kane Crave Analyse My over arching idea for my production of Crave is that I want to give the play some context while also maintaining the theme that these characters could represent anyone. The reason I want to give the play some background is because on my first read of the play, before I read the Saunders article in which Sarah Kane talks about the relationships between C and A, and B and M, a lot of the themes of the play were lost on me because I was so focused on trying to figure out what was going on. I know Sarah Kane didn t want the characters to get stuck in specific categories, but by establishing relationships between the characters I think the audience will be able to focus more on what the characters are saying and less on trying to discern what... The tone and color of the fill lights changes slightly throughout the show, following the color changes of the cyclorama. The cyc is my central design element for the show. When I read Crave, it seemed to me that the play was divided into different emotional sections, and I want to use the cyc to reflect that. When the lights come up after the characters enter, I want the cyc to be a medium dark purple, which I think helps give the feeling that the play is taking place in the city, which is what I gathered from the dialogue. The purple should be dark enough that it gives the audience a sense of unease, as each of the characters relate depressing tales and talk heatedly with one another. When A begins his speech, I want the cyc to fade into a bright amber that assaults the audience s eyes when it first appears. This symbolizes how upon first glance, A s speech appears happy and innocent, which the color yellow is associated with, but that yellow is tainted with something darker and sinister, making it amber. Then, when C mentions being raped, I want the cyc to fade to a scarlet red, because this I think this marked the transition to the most violent part of the play. Then when C says, No one can hate me more than myself , I want the cyc to start transitioning to a medium blue. As the play continues, I want that blue to get continually darker, symbolizing the characters sinking into despair. When B says Kill me , I want the cyc and all of the lights to fade away, implying that the characters have passed away. Then for the last few lines of the play, I want just the cyc to light up bright white, so you can only see the actors silhouettes. I want the audience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of his most well known pieces is the blue and green glass sculpture hanging in the front entrance of the Victoria Albert Museum in London (figure 1). His work has included over 200 museum collections worldwide, and I visited his exhibition in the Halcyon Gallery on New Bond Street in London on the 23rd of January 2012. The curving edges of the discs created a natural feel to the piece, softening it. Another part of the exhibition that I found visually stimulating were the Basket themed pieces, created in the 1970 s, as I thought their smooth edges and insides captured and reflected the lights really effectively (figures 8 and 9). I also really liked the multiple baskets stacked inside one another, showing how Chihuly can handcraft the basket shapes on a variety of scales. The lip wrap on each basket is often a contrasting colour, developed from the tradition of Venetian glassmaking, and is a trademark of Chihuly s work. I feel the bold colour lip wraps help to draw the viewer s eye into the centre of the baskets, revealing the smaller baskets within. I really liked the contrast in the colour of the two chandelier pieces in the windows of the Halcyon Gallery (figures 10 and 11). These crises include the 2007 war in Iraq, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, together involving thousands of foreigners granted temporary residence permits or permanent residence in very little time8. But in Syria s case, Canada has accepted a mere 200 refugees, even though several thousands of dollars have been raised by the 85 private sponsor groups that exist within Canada and are formally recognized by the government9. The idea of plate tectonics was formulated in the 1960s (Andel). Plate tectonics explains the origin of Earth s surface features ( Plate Tectonics BrainPop). Alfred Wegner was just guessing about the way plate tectonics were formed and no one believed him (Plate Tectonics). Scientists thought all hills and uneven ground was due to the Earth shrinking. Scientists later found out that plates move about 5 to 10 cm. per year. During the late 20th and early 21st centuries, researchers found out that plate tectonics had influenced the composition of Earth s atmosphere and the oceans. I.W. Berman Props., 276 Md. at 8; Clark, 286 Md. at 214; Restatement (Second) of Contracts В§ 279 cmt. a. So the phrase, Men were deceivers ever, proves to be a very accurate representation of Much Ado About Nothing. Moreover, characters such as Don John, Borachio and even Don Pedro and Claudio prove Balthasar s phrase to ring true, through their respective roles and intentional actions in the play. Don John, who is notably the main antagonist, is a stagnant portrayal of Balthasar s quote. Not only does he spend his every waking moment stirring trouble, but most importantly he takes satisfaction in it. He contingently makes it his mission and purpose to reign havoc, and to deceive characters of another s false wrongdoing. For reference, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, Carman (1990) argued that the five dimensions should be specific for each industry and it should not be general (Carman, 1990). Moreover, Fan Chan (2008) also pointed out that SERVQUAL five dimensions cannot fully evaluate service quality of the hotel, and should be integrated with other dimensions (Chen, 2008). • 40. Comparison Of Harper s Weekly And Time Magazine Have you ever thought about what people back in the day read in their spare time since we all just immediately get on our phones? I compared and contrasted the August 2015 Time magazine, and the June 4th 1864 edition of Harper s Weekly. I have come to the realization that when people say times have changed, they are not kidding. It is crazy to read in between the lines and see how Americans lived over 150 years ago. The way things are placed and discussed are very different in both Harper s Weekly and TimeMagazine, but the two are similar in some ways also. Although there are many differences between the two, there are some similarities. I found that both have an article or two about foreign countries. By having these articles this means that Americans have always been interested in what other countries are up to. For example, in Time Magazine on page 11 there is an article written by Julia Zorthian that talks about Brazil turning against their president, and the antigovernment rallies. Another example in Time Magazine is on page 40 and it talks about the explosion that happened in a chemical warehouse in Tianjin, China. They said that this explosion is a symbol of the way others look at China. The covers on both of the magazines are pictures of political figures that are impacting and did impact Americans in the United States. • 44. The Anatomy And Physiology Of Blood Vessels Essay Circulation 1.Compare and contrasts the anatomy and physiology of blood vessels: arteries, veins and capillaries. Why are these differences significant in the overall function of the circulatory system? Please be specific. The arteries are thicker and more elastic because of the fast pumping of blood that leaves the heart to other organs to the body, as where the veins are small due to the low blood flow because of the slow movement from the capillaries to the veins not like the forceful pumping from the heart to the arteries to the rest of the body. The Oxygenated blood goes through the arteries except the pulmonary arteries. Then Deoxygenated blood goes through the veins except the pulmonary veins. The imaginary line between the subjects, but also in the picture, carries some form of distance and depth. Another element is the focus area. It is clear that the subjects are more in focus than the background. This is very important because the photographer might have used this technique to send a very powerful message about starvation and the need for aid in Sudan.
