Aim To give some tips on how to prepare  PowerPoint  presentations for  academic purposes .
Introduction Preparing a PowerPoint presentation is not very simple. Even in the academic area students set up their presentations with some unnoticed details which can compromise the whole or some part of the presentation.
Text Use  words  or  phrases  instead of sentences and paragraphs. No more than two fonts. Minimum size 24 pt. Just use capital letters when it is necessary.  Use sans-serif fonts ( Verdana  or Arial). Check the spelling and grammar!

Images Picture=1,000 words Use images to  complement  your message – not for decoration. Simple graphics. Animation Schemes. Avoid the built-in Clip Art gallery. Exhibit an image referring to the topic when is the time for oppening the debate with the audience.
 
Final Considerations  Dose the number of slides. Use a laser(something like that) to show specific points.  Test the equipaments in the place. Do not take more time and effort preparing the Powerpoint slides than studying its content.
