To extract a program from a Red Lion HMI using Crimson Software, you need a USB cable to connect the HMI to a computer with the matching version of Crimson installed. In the software, select the USB connection under Link, then click Extract to upload the program file from the HMI to your computer where it can be saved. Ethernet IP settings can also be configured by clicking Network to set up a TCP/IP connection to the HMI.

2. You will need a USB to Printer Cable to
connect to Red Lion HMI.

3. On the Red lion Crimson Software site down load the version
your company is using. Its important to use the version that is
currently used on the Red lion HMI. Load the software on a
computer.

4. Open Crimson software and find Link. Under the Link tab go to options
and make sure USB is selected. The USB cable must be connected to
Red lion HMI and computer.

5. Under the tab link is Extract. Clink on it and program will up load to
computer from Red lion HMI. Under file you can save the
configuration.

6. Ethernet IP can be setup by left click
on Network.

7. TCP/IP is used to connect to the
Redlion HMI from Ethernet Port.

8. Now you can extract a file from a
Red lion HMI and set up Ethernet IP
