The software, which will be launched from DODAggregator, is a daily deal aggregate platform designed to let individuals create their own daily deal hub that showcases deals from across the expanding number of daily deal and group buying websites. This new software allows easy entry into the already famous model of group buying and daily deal services without any prior technical knowledge.
Technology and human life cannot be separated. We use technology in our daily life to travel, to communicate, to learn and more. However technology has also caused us concerns. Its poor application has results into serious threat to our lives and society. So we have conducted a survey to see its effect in our lives

IT teams, particularly in open-source projects, have developed various innovative tools and concepts to support their particular needs. These teams are often very large, globally distributed and mostly consisting of volunteers. We will introduce some of the tools and concepts, discuss how they can be used by teams and organizations in other fields and illustrate some successful examples.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology to StudentsMhister Laagan
It is important for the students to learn and understand both the disadvantages and advantages of technology since it becomes a part of their daily life. Similarly, technology use must not be excessive. In fact extreme technological use in students can cause all sorts of problems; socially and physically so it is important for the students to understand that yes, technology is an amazing thing; but at the same time, it should not be used all of the time. They should not be overly dependent on it.

Webinar: The Third Wave of Nonprofit Technology: Technology for Social Change...TechSoup
Sam Chenkin discuss the changing nature of technology within nonprofit organizations. Using technology to be efficient is no longer enough to stay relevant as a nonprofit. Even using data effectively is old news. Today, nonprofits are expected to “disrupt” social ills through the network effects and scale of technology.
This event explains this trend, its opportunities, and its dangers. We talk about how the commodification of data storage, analytics, and AI is making software development a compelling option for nonprofits. And we talk about how your nonprofit can take an idea from inception through to the creation of a website or app.
In this webinar we examine the true cost of free looking beyond upfront costs and into implementation and support costs. From there we look at some of the existing free tools and how they stack up to some of the more expensive alternatives.
The overuse of technology may have a more significant impact on developing children and teenagers. On the other hand, it has numerous advantages easier, faster and more effective communication, better, more efficient manufacturing techniques, less wastage, more efficient stock management and ordering systems.

Quick Reference Notes
Week 6
BA101 Introduction to Business
•Brian Arthur, author of the book The Nature of Technology, believes that “more than anything
else technology creates our world. Technology creates our wealth, our economy our way of
being.”
• Technology:
• Allows us to look at the world differently to see beyond what is to what could be
• Allows us to create innovative solutions
• Allows organizations to operate with little manpower reducing the cost of doing
business
• Connects the organization to their distributors, their customers and their employees
• Allows instantaneous access to information so organizations are better able to offer
lower pricing of their products without having to sacrifice quality
• Information technology, or IT is essential for organizations to efficiently conduct business.
Four Most Important Roles of IT:
Managing Communication • Email is the chosen form of communication
for many businesses
• Email provides an easy and low cost way for
businesses to communicate with employees,
distributors and customers.
• The internet also allows businesses to
communicate, advertise and sell their
products to people around the world.
Managing Inventory •Keeps track of the quantities of each product
• Triggers an order when the amount falls
below the pre-determined quantity in stock
Managing Data • Storing of electronic versions of all
documents
• Instant availability of documents
Managing Customer Relationships • Software used to help to improve how they
manage relationships with customers
• Software can record all interactions a
business has with a customer

Welcome to week six. Let’s get started. Please select lessons, week 6 in the getting started folder. This week's learning objective is to understand the role information technology plays in organizations. Your activities this week included some reading of related articles, a lecture, and discussion question, and an assignment. Go ahead and print out the getting started page. It is always a good idea to do this. Keep it next to you - one of the things I like to do is check off each activity as I complete them to make sure that I have completed everything successfully for the week. So what is required of you this week? As in any way to be sure to read the material. Be sure to ask questions of your professor if you have any participate early and often in the discussion forums and complete your assignments focusing on completeness, timeliness, and professionalism.
Let’s take a look at lecture one in week six which is the role of information technology in organizations. During this lecture we will discuss the role information technology plays in organizations. I'd like to begin our lecture by taking a minute to discuss technology in general. As long as there have been human beings on this planet there has been technology in ...

Contract cheating in Canada - exploring legislative options 2021-10University of Calgary
Slides from our webinar in which we offered an introductory discussion about the commercial contract cheating industry (e.g., term paper mills, homework completion services, and paid imposters who take exams on behalf of students). One question people often ask is, “Why aren’t these services illegal?” The short answer is: Academic cheating services are not currently illegal in Canada, but they are in other countries. In this session we’ll provide an overview of which countries have successfully enacted legislation against predatory industry that profits from academic misconduct. We will provide an overview of the legal structures in Canada that might facilitate or present barriers to such legislation being enacted in this country. We do not promise answers or solutions to the complex issue of contract cheating, but instead provide an evidence-base for deeper discussion.
The intended audience for this session is primarily for those in Canada interested in contract cheating from the Canadian legal context. Participants from other regions are also welcome.
By the end of this session engaged participants will be able to:
Describe what contract cheating is
Understand how legislation against contract cheating has been enacted in other countries
Discover legal aspects of contract cheating in Canada and beyond

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
