How do we learn ? Hijacking educators brains , Autonomy
We can learn through:
1- Our five senses: like what happen in our childhood as the simplest way to learn and remain as the basic method to learn.
2- prior situations and last experiences: as we change our behavior if it followed by the bad situation and we fixed the behavior if it is followed by good experiences as known by Learning through Operant Conditioning
3- Telling Stories, watching movies, playing roles: that methods helpful in transferring the knowledge and different experiences.
4- Making experiments in laps , using tolls ,drawing : all this methods are effected methods to learn especially in experimental science which depends on handling tools, examine the results and drawing graphs or scheme.
We also learn by reading , by engaging in Collaboration and team work activities, by listening , watching movies , presenting , we learn by creating projects by brainstorm , communicating , Telling Stories , playing roles , solving quizzes, doing experiments in labs on handling tools and notice/observing its results then investigate rules or facts , by solving problems , by proving rules , by designing and developing software programs , by creating / developing projects based for learning , by creating / developing pictures , drawing , mind maps , by writing stories , journals , reflections , research papers , proposals , writing reports , Argumentative and scientific articles , by going in journeys to universities , museums , factories , laboratories , libraries , natural places , gardens , see , desert and zoos and finally by solving exams .

Find a way to reconcile it with prior knowledge , which is called
cognitive conflict this struggle ensured the information is
mastered So, how do we motivate students to endure this
struggle?
There are three key ingredients to intrinsic motivation.
A- Autonomy. (Giving students chances to make choices
during the learning process gives them a sense of empowerment.

B- Connection ( this has two pieces )
I-Students connect to each other
collaboratively.
II-To connect to the real world

C- The pursuit of curiosity in the progression towards mastery.
This requires a balance between two variables. Challenge - Ability
If the challenge is low and the ability is high, the brain becomes bored.
If the challenge is too high and the ability is low, the brain becomes stressed.
So, there must be a balance .
When the challenge is perfectly balanced with the ability the result is called
flow and this is the most intense enjoyment of learning that a brain can
experience.
When the three ingredients connection, progression and autonomy meet the
result is a storm of motivation.

There are two other key needs for the brain to be able to resolve cognitive
conduct
1- Activity: A- If the brain encounters new information in a passive state
the result is Passive learning which has little chance of being encoded in long
term memory.
B- By activating the student biology through movement and multi-sensory
experience the brain begins to experience Active learning which is much more
memorable.
2- Self-reflection : This is a pillar that sustains the student through the
struggles of cognitive conflict to translate learning to long-term memory.

When these compatible strategies applied every day in
every class the result becomes exponential with each
passing year. Students recall more prior learning from
long-term memory and the cycle of learning grow.
Learning is often defined as a relatively lasting change in
behavior that is the result of experience.
When you think of learning, it might be easy to fall into the
trap of only considering formal education that takes place
during childhood and early adulthood: but learning is
relativity an ongoing process taking place throughout all
of life.
