DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED)
I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the
promotional for the film “house of M”
Film is about:
Opening
A two teen (one boy one girl) whose parents get into an argument (it will be shown
with shadows) which will end up with one of them dead (the audience does not know
which of the parents killed and witch dies). After that the heroes ( Marty, he is 15 and
Lucy) run away (dark, cloudy outside) after a minute of running both next to a tree,
fade to black.
Middle
Marty and Lucy are woken up by police who question them about how they ended up
there and where there parents are, he does not speak and she escape to go to their
grandma. He is taken to the police station but before he gets there he escapes. After
he tries to get to his grandparents. He travels through a dark scary forest then gets
lost in the city where he encounters a gang who he befriends, has to fight alongside
them four 4-5 months, but when he steels and eventually kills someone and side the
gang, he runs away from the group.
End
The main character finds his grandparents’ house.
The plot element that I will feature are:
The house
Murder weapon
Night
The main characters (Marty and Lucy)
Forest

Billing block
IMAGE LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
 Pool of blood to show genre of the movie (horror) and how their will be death.
 Outline of house to show mystery and it makes it look universal as the house outline
is generic to show how it could happen anywhere.
 Parents shadows to show them not being there for the main character before the
takes place. To make the murder mysteries and confusing.
 Main character on the poster to show how the movie is about.
 Bright cloths to show innocence a how he is not ready for this to happen.
 City to show where a part of the narrative will take place.
 City has red sky to show danger.
 Dirt path to show how it is not easy.

FONT LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This font will be for the movie name as it suggests
horror.

This will be for everything else (headline, relies date)
TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING POWER)

also can enjoy the movie

HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
The colors will show how the movie is a horror and it will appeal to horror fans. The leads
will be a young adult witch will appeal to the young adults as it will be relateble to them and
they could identify with them.
It will appeal to the C2 D and E as the family of the son is not rich and his parents were in
that social grope and when the main character runs away, he is in the lowest social group.
DISTRIBUTION
Year before realise
The distribution will start with the teaser poster on the Halloween before the movie realise.
Office website established and twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube are all also establish.
All are updated until film realise.
6 Months before realise
Teaser trailer realises
Theatrical poster released
2 months before realise
Theatrical trailer realises
Tv spots star appearing on tv
Trailers, posters and billboards become common
Posters
Posters are perhaps the most important part of the marketing as if someone is not
interested in a movie, they will not watch a trailer but a poster can be seen anywhere from
twitter and a cinema to bus stops and billboards an audience is much more likely to come
across a poster witch could be anywhere then a trailer witch needs a tv or computer to play
but a poster is a placed of paper witch could be hanged anywhere.
Week before realise
Promoted by social media influencers (On YouTube movie review channels and content
related to movies)
Frequent of TV spots increases
Interviews with Actors are common (On News programs and chat shows also on YouTube)
Exclusive content on social media
HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
All posters will be resliced on social media and in Theatres and on Bus stops as most casual
viewer are going to see them their but for, they will also be in cinemas as we don’t want to
isolate the more frequent cinema audience.
Trailers
When the trailer comes out it will be on TV past the watershed.
The trailer will be shown on YouTube as ads in videos.
POSITION IN THE MARKETPLACE
Overall the marketing will show the genre of the film, a breath Idea of the narrative, the
main character. The posters have the same colores as in other horror posters such as in
“The Descent” or “Friday the 13th”.

To promote the new movie that is coming to cinema. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED) I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the promotional for the film “house of M” Film is about: Opening A two teen (one boy one girl) whose parents get into an argument (it will be shown with shadows) which will end up with one of them dead (the audience does not know which of the parents killed and witch dies). Middle Marty and Lucy are woken up by police who question them about how they ended up there and where there parents are, he does not speak and she escape to go to their grandma. He is taken to the police station but before he gets there he escapes. After he tries to get to his grandparents. He travels through a dark scary forest then gets lost in the city where he encounters a gang who he befriends, has to fight alongside them four 4-5 months, but when he steels and eventually kills someone and side the gang, he runs away from the group.
