1. This is a picture of Suicide Silencem, a heavy
metal rock core band. I think this picture
depicts their look well as the darckness and
heavy use of black instantly tells us that
they’re are a heavy band and not a pop band.
I think this image is intense which matches
their image.
This picture is of Enter Shikari, who are an
electro rock/trance band. They produce very
fast upbeat music whilst still maintaining that
heavy rock sound. This image represents them
well as it looks exciting and colourful. Lack of
formal symmetry shows the bands personality,
out of control and exciting.
The Wombats are an indie/pop band; they have
a very niche market and a unique sound to
their music. This picture is obscure and weird,
which shows the personality of the band, I think
its fun and attracts the eye with its bright
colours and interesting shapes.
Hip-Hop band, The Black Eyed peas set a
very colourful outlook on music, the wall
setting shows their hip-hop street like image
and the clothes they are wearing are
interesting and different, coordinating with
their sound

2. Snoop Dogg is an urban rap artist. The
dark backdrop of the picture creates a
sense of mystery and danger. The smoke
is covering his face which takes away all
sense of personality, adding to his
mysterious street image.
This is a picture of famous reggae artist Bob
Marley. The green, yellow and red effect are
Rasta colours which is part of his personality,
heavily involved with his music. The picture is
bright and happy which is the general feel of
the music he makes, ‘feel good’ music. The
picture says a lot about the artist without
listening to his music.
Netsky is a Drum and Bass DJ, as you can see
from this image unlike the other artists and
bands I’ve looked at his image isn’t a perfectly
panned out photoshoot, it’s of him performing
his music, I like this better as I think it tells us
more about the artist. The lights and colours in
the shot suggest liveliness which is a lot ike his
music. The artist being focused with a
background of a massive crowd gives a sense
of positive atmostphere.
Frank Turner is a country artist, although
this is image is quite basic I think it puts
across his image quite well. Him and his
guitar which is his main instrument are the
main focus which tells the audience what
he’s about straight away, simplicity at it’s
best shows through on this image.
