This document discusses using the Internet of Things (IoT) for home automation. IoT allows everyday objects to be connected to the internet and controlled remotely. The document proposes a home automation system that uses sensors like temperature, gas, light, and motion detectors to monitor a home. If thresholds are exceeded, such as the temperature rising too high, the system will automatically actuate processes to restore conditions, like turning on the air conditioning. User control and monitoring is also provided through a web server interface. The system aims to improve convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security for users.

Proposed Home
Automation System Model
Sensors: temperature, gas, motion and LDR
Threshold levels for the required
sensors are set
Sensor data : sent to the web server and
stored in the cloud
sensor parameters –compare –
threshold values →actuation is done
The user can also monitor the electric
appliances through the internet via
web server and can control remotely
12. Front End Design:
HTML(Hyper Text Mark-up Language): HTML file is a text file containing small mark-up tags.
The mark-up tags tell the Web browser how to display the page.
Cloud computing : Practice of using remote servers on the internet to manage, store and
process data instead of using a personal computer
o Example of cloud computing is Gmail, where we can access stored data from any computer
with internet access.
14. Experimental setup of HAS
• Door → motion

internet
15. WEB SERVER PAGE
o After the successful
connection to the server, the
data of sensor are sent to
the web server for
monitoring of the system
o system. By entering the
assigned IP address in the
web browser this web server
page will appear
o gives the status→ Remotely
control
o All the required data is
stored in the cloud (Gmail)..
16. conclusion
HA using IOT → experimentally proven → simple appliances.
monitors → the sensor data, like temperature, gas, light, motion
sensors
actuates a process → switching on the light when it gets dark
stores the sensor parameters in the cloud (Gmail) → analyse the
condition of various parameters in the home anytime anywhere.
Future work
o capturing the photo of a person moving
around the house → store in cloud → reduce data storage than CCTV
o energy monitoring, or weather stations
