Writing provides a number of mental and physical
health benefits such as memory enhancement,
reduced stress levels or sleep, and serves as a
potential therapeutic method. Such is the case of
some patients who find it difficult to accept their
illness and used this method to combat anxiety and
to obtain better results.
Reading helps us to understand texts much better
and grow our vocabulary. In addition, it stimulates
our reasoning and critical thinking when making
relevant decisions. This long-term habit can bring
these benefits and more in a career where you need
to read and investigate different perspectives to
create successful business strategies.
Social volunteering allows us to connect with others in
order to develop our interpersonal capacity, in turn, helps
us develop our career by encouraging our interest, since we
develop our human side by empathizing with society and in
the long term with our personal future and client.
Playing a musical instrument allows creativity and problem
solving to develop thanks to the ability to imagine many
possible solutions. By constantly facing difficulties, we can
develop patience, discipline, and perseverance, which are
important to any career one wants to pursue.
Traveling helps our stress levels to
reduce with all the work that is done. A
point to mention could be the one that
enhances our ability to solve problems,
since it takes us out of our comfort zone
by presenting ourselves with situations
in which we have to face such as getting
lost in the streets or the language
problem.
Performing in a workshop or theater
helps us lose our shyness when
expressing ourselves to other people, in
turn allowing our body language to
develop. In addition, it helps us gain
confidence and improve our social
relationships. These soft skills are
essential for an administrator.
Long-term running allows our mental
health to remain stable, providing better
irrigation throughout the body and
oxygenation in the brain; in this way we
can be more productive during the day
doing our work better.
Painting and drawing enhances the creative
capacity of the individual, since it makes the
brain go to work and continually do new
things that it can create. It also helps us with
our mental health, as it helps us communicate
our emotions and feelings through art.
Video games have helped users to improve
their responsiveness when dealing with the
unforeseen when planning solutions to
problems, fostering teamwork and most
importantly, improving strategy and
leadership. All this has a positive impact on
decision-making when managing a
company in various fields.
Gardening allows us to improve our quality of
sleep by reducing cortisol levels, which
increases relaxation and mental well-being of
the person. On the other hand, it prevents
the appearance of Alzheimer's according to a
study carried out by the University of
California, thus reducing the risk of suffering
from dementia. All this points to the fact that
this hobby contributes to our mental health,
which is a relevant point in our career.
Yoga helps relieve tension and
contractures in the body by performing
effective postures to release stress, thus
allowing our mental and physical health to
remain optimal to perform during the day,
in turn, providing us with energy to
perform during the day.
Performing exercises helps us in our form and
physical resistance, thus improving our flexibility and
strength. On the other hand, it helps us to be more
disciplined and persevering, since we set ourselves a
goal which we want to achieve, yes or yes.
Everything will depend on the level of commitment.
All of the above can be put into practice in our
career by creating a resilience mindset.
Meditation improves emotional health and
increases happiness due to certain breathing
postures, generating changes in our thinking,
reducing our level of anxiety. These changes
can be maintained in the long term as long as
you have the habit of meditation.
Teaching generates great personal satisfaction
by reinforcing our knowledge with other
people, allowing us to compress information
and present it in a creative and
understandable way. It also keeps us
constantly updated with the correct
information, reviewing trends, techniques and
methodologies to better perform our work.
Taking a nap will allow us to learn much
more, since by resting for small periods of
time our body has a 10% increase in
learning capacity. At the same time,
concentration increases, allowing us to
retain more information in the short term,
which makes it a relevant hobby for our
administrative career.
