OBSCURA
Camera obscura from Latin, meaning "dark room": camera "(vaulted) chamber or room,"
and obscura "darkened, dark"), also referred to as pinhole image. The term "camera
obscura" also refers to constructions or devices that make use of the principle within a box,
tent or room the second half of the 16th century and became popular as an aid for drawing
and painting.

CALOTYPE
Calotype or talbotype is an early photographic process introduced in 1841 by William
Henry Fox Talbot, using paper coated with silver iodide. The term calotype comes from
the Greek (kalos), "beautiful", and (tupos), "impression“
Talbot made his first successful camera photographs in 1835 using paper sensitised
with silver chloride, which darkened in proportion to its exposure to light.

DAGUERREOTYPE CAMERA
The Daguerreotype process, or daguerreotypy, was the first publicly
available photographic process, and for nearly twenty years it was the one most commonly
used.To make the image, a daguerreotypist would polish a sheet of silver-plated copper to a
mirror finish.

Wolcott improved on Daguerre's lens camera by making a camera that used a mirror
instead.On October 7, 1839, Wolcott made the first portrait in the world with a prototype of
his daguerreotype camera when he took a picture of his partner Johnson.

Thomas Sutton's Panoramic Camera is a wooden-bodied camera for wet-plate panoramic
photography on curved glass plates. The lens is constructed as two glass hemispheres,
enclosing a water-filled spherical space.

George Eastman pioneered photographics films in camera.His first camera was KODAK.it
used a simple box having a fixed lens and a single shutter speed.

This was the camera which revolutionized the photo industry for the public.it was a basic
cardboard box camera with a simple meniscus lens which captured images on a film role.

LEICA
The leica was the practical 35mm camera that used standard cinema 35mm built by Oscar
barnack in 1913.it frame was 24×36mm it was best suited for landscape photos.

MINIATURE CAMERA
A miniature camera for all. ... This was until the famous Minox subminiature
camera, first devised in 1922. Nearly a century after the photograph was
invented, the spy camera was conceived. Some of the first miniature
secret cameras were designed by Walter Zapp in Germany between 1937
and 1943.

Ekakta first single lens reflex camera (SLR) for 127 roll film in later models it pioneered the
first build in flash socket,activated by shutter.

Worlds first instant picture camera. It used patented chemical process to produced finished
positive prints from the exposed negatives in under a minute.

A company called a photo pack produced a cardboard camera begining in 1949 which shot
8n exposers and was mailed in for processing.

SONY MAVICA
It was first analog camera in essence it was a video movie camera that recorded single
frames.The image quality was considered equal to that of then current television.

FUJI SDS-1P CAMERA
It was first true digital camera that recorded images as a computerized file recorded images
to a 16mb internal memory card powered by a battery to retain data.

KODAK DC 100
First commercially available DSLR camera was mounted on a Nikon F-3 body. Realeased
by KODAK in may 1991.

WEBCAM
First developed in 1991, a webcam was pointed at the Trojan Room coffee
pot in the Cambridge University Computer Science Department (initially
operating over a local network instead of the web). The camera was finally
switched off on August 22, 2001. The final image captured by the camera can
still be viewed at its homepage.[11][12] In 2004, the oldest webcam still
operating was FogCam at San Francisco State University, which had been
running continuously since 1994.

NIKON 1st SLR
A 2.74 mega-pixel this camera was the first digital SLR developed by entirely by a major
manufacturer and affordable cost which was targeted at professional photographers.

CANON EOS D30
The Canon EOS D30 is a discontinued 3.1-megapixel professional digital single lens reflex
camera (DSLR) body, initially announced by Canon on May 17, 2000. It is part of the Canon
EOS line of cameras and uses the EF lens mount. The EOS D30 was Canon's first "home
grown" digital SLR.

There's a strong argument that the first real camera phone was produced by
Sharp and released in Japan by J-Phone (now SoftBank Mobile)
in November of 2000. The J-SH04 could take photos, like the one on the right
(from Japanese site Showcase) at 110,000-pixel resolution or 0.11-
megapixels.
