Naoto In Detective Prince
From the outside, Naoto seems cool, calm, and collected. At times she can come off as cold or
unemotional, but only because, despite her small stature, she attempts to put on the air of someone
much more mature than her age. Through this demeanor (and while masquerading as a male), she
earned the title of Detective Prince, and was a consultant of the police, although she also often worked
on her own. Even with this exterior, however, it s easier to illicit an emotional reaction out of Naoto
than it first appears. This is especially true when dealing with a case, or when someone close to her is
being threatened. Despite her serious appearance, she can act quite childish and narrow minded at
times.
Her work and her job is one of her driving forces; her parents were both detectives, and died during an
investigation when she was young. Partly out of adoration and partly to find her place, she started
training soon after the accident to become a detective and continue the Shirogane line. It s no small
matter; Naoto is a workaholic. Although she works as a consultant for the police, she is also often on
her own, and will fall just short of doing anything to solve a case. When it became obvious that the
police had arrested the wrong suspect in the Inaba murders, Naoto acts as a decoy (and the next
victim) by readily ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This acceptance that she strives for has two dimensions; she both wants to be accepted and respected
in the workplace, and accepted by her peers as a friend. In the workplace, she was (and still is) very
rarely taken seriously because of her age, despite her accomplishments. However, at the end of her
social link, she vows to keep working cases and trying harder so that she ll one day be

Zamperini Argumentative Essay
Louie Zamperini is an example to follow. Not because he was an athlete or a solder, because of his
actions and motivations The most important, from my point of view, is his family. He would ve done
everything for them. That s the most important reason why he decided to change and by the same way
change others. The best example for that is when he stared running, he was doing it for his mama, for
his dad and Pete and his sisters, and that before doing it for himself. An other example is when the
Japanese gave him the opportunity to speak on radio, the first thing that he did was speaking to his
family and how much he missed them. Another remarkable thing that Zamperini did was being the life
of the raft. He was the one who was giving hope to

No One Will Steal My Car Because It s An Old Clunker
Car theft usually happens when you least expect it. You may be walking to your car after a hard day at
the job only to find an empty spot where you thought you left it. As you walk through the parking lot,
hoping against hope that you may have parked it in another spot, the awful feeling finally sinks home:
your car was stolen. Unfortunately, this all too common experience happens to many people because
they weren t prepared. They thought it couldn t happen to them because they acted on common car
misconceptions about theft that left them without a car. Here are three of them: No One Will Steal My
Car Because It s an Old Clunker There are at least two reasons why this is a myth. First, old cars are
easier to steal because they lack the latest anti theft technology of the newest cars. While it s true that
smart thieves do find ways of defeating state of the art anti theft devices, there are fewer of them
around. It s basically a bell shaped curve thing. The more smarts required to steal a car, the fewer the
thieves around with the required smarts. The rest simply go after easy targets like your old clunker.
The second reason is that professional thieves often prefer older cars because ... Show more content on

warming up in the driveway is an easy opportunity. It s unlocked, the engine is already running, and
the interior is all warmed up and cozy. My Car Alarm Will Deter Thieves That may have been true
several decades ago when the very first car alarm came out. Today, most people regard car alarms as
an annoying form of noise pollution. Too many cars have sounded false alarms because their owners
sat on their key chains or something bumped the car. Most people assume this and aren t going to
investigate. Experienced thieves can disable car alarms in a matter of

Theme Of Death In The Trenches
During the war, death was a rampant issue that ran amok in the trenches. But it wasn t always
physical, or quick. Joseph Boyden illustrates in his novel that death is different for everyone and every
time. For some, it can feel decades long or quick as a breath. It could be world shattering, or just
another event that happens in your day. More than roughly forty percent of all men who participated
and died in the war were killed by snipers. For 15 year old Sean Patrick, this was the horrifying reality
he had to face. Shot through the neck by a German sniper, he writhed on the ground in pain for a few
last precious moments of life, however in great immense pain. Life taken from him as quick as a
gunshot. Mind, body, and soul. Sean Patrick

Donnie Trumpet s The Social Experiment
On May 28th, shortly before midnight, a rare treasure was released to the public courtesy of Donnie
Trumpet The Social Experiment. Users of iTunes everywhere (including myself) woke up on May
29th, a Friday, to find a free download of Surf. the highly anticipated debut album of The Social
Experiment. The Social Experiment is a band that makes music that is hard to categorize. Ranging
from hip hop to Jazz, to R B, it s tricky to put a label on this band s sound other than it just feels good.
Fronted by wildly popular independent artist, Chance the Rapper, the band consists of Donnie
Trumpet doing exactly what his name hints at. Peter Cottontail, (Music Director/Keys), Greg Stix

They could have made thousands by selling the album on iTunes, physical copies, vinyls etc. And plus
they are already fronted by a popular rapper so they wouldn t have a problem with being found. But
the answer is simple, perhaps too simple but refreshing. And that s because with Surf, they weren t
looking for money. As you may remember, Chance announced the album back late last fall and said
that it would be released before the end of 2014. Some may have been irritated at Chance for not
keeping his word, but those people are so used to rappers that are signed to labels issuing a deadline to
maximize profits. Chance The Rapper is not one of those. Chance The Rapper is a free rapper. Chance
took those 6 months to make the music that him and his friends were creating perfect. And not perfect
for a record label, perfect for themselves. Which is what every artist should be doing. The popular
song Wanna Be Cool perfectly deciphers this. It is about not wanting to be cool, but wanting to be
yourself. Which (cheesy line approaching) is the coolest fucking thing you can be. In the high school
of hip hop. There are many rappers out there that make music that isn t necessarily them. But what
will maximize profits. Do you think Big Sean wrote I Don t Fuck With You because it truly spoke
from his heart? Fuck

Link Between Mis And The Circadian Clock
Aaron Kendrick
Essay 1 The Link between Myocardial Infarctions and the Circadian Clock
The circadian clock holds large importance in a number of bodily functions including the
cardiovascular system. In particular there are a number of connections between the circadian clock
and myocardial infarctions (heart attacks). Myocardial infarctions (MIs) as a term is more commonly
used in scientific journals than heart attacks, therefore, the term myocardial infarction (MI) will be
used throughout the duration of this paper. Overall a discussion of the link between MIs and the
circadian clock, the effect of disrupted sleep on MIs, and certain cases where there is an attenuation of
the link between the circadian clock and MIs will be considered ... Show more content on

Furthermore, they determined that the lack of an evening peak may be due to less population wide
synchronization of MI triggers between 6 and 8 pm (Kanth et al, 2013). However, they did not express
what these triggers were. Although the common triggers for MIs are an increase in sympathetic
activity, increase in platelet agreeability and a decrease in plasma fibrinolytic activity. Which means
that hemostasis, the stopping of flow of blood, is altered and an imbalance between myocardial
(muscle of the heart) oxygen supply and demand occurs in the morning. Together these triggers are
known to potentially lead to acute MI (Kanth et al, 2013). Therefore, I infer that these triggers have
been desynchronized among the population between 6 and 8pm. Another study supports this idea and
showed that the number of circulating platelets and their ability to aggregate follows a circadian
rhythm, where the highest number of platelets was found in the afternoon, but an increase in
aggregation occurred in the morning. This paper also discussed that the peak levels of lipoprotein and
fibrinogen, which are discussed in the previous article as plasma fibrinolytic activity , coincided with
the peak frequency of MIs (Fournier et al, 2015). However, overall neither paper makes an explicit
case for why there is a desynchronization of triggers during the evening

Crime And The Crimes Of Crime Essay
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (2006) crime is defined as an offence punishable by
the State on behalf of the general public whose standards do not permit the offending behaviour.
Whilst countless studies have been conducted over the years surrounding crime and the committing of
crimes by individuals , there has also long been debate surrounding whether or not crime is gendered
and if so, to what extent. Over the decades a number of studies have been conducted in order to
answer this question, with significantly varying results uncovered. Whilst some studies, including
those by Darrell Steffensmeier and Emilie Allan (1996) and Jennifer Schwartz and Darrell
Steffensmeier (2008) have found that gender plays a significant role in the committing of crimes, other
studies including that of Kenneth Polk (1993) have found that the prevalence of gender differences in
crimes is reliant on the nature of the crime itself.
According to Frances Heidensohn (1985), gender appears to be the single most crucial variable
associated with criminality (p.22). In agreement with this statement, Steffensmeier and Allan (1996)
highlighted in Gender and Crime: Toward a gendered Theory of Female Offending , that worldwide
criminologists agree that the gender gap within offenders of crime is universal, in that men are always
more likely to commit a criminal act than women. However, Steffensmeier and Allan (1996) s
research also highlighted discrepancies between the opinions of

The Importance of Teaching English Essay
The Importance of Teaching English In the world were over seven thousand languages have exisisted,
one language had become dominate. This dominant language is English. In the majority of countries

England. English has taken many forms, American English, the Queen s English, Australian, Canadian
English, and several others. Even American English has taken several types of English, Jersey
English, East Coast English, West Coast English, Southern English, slang English, and Ebonics. All of
these languages have major variants between them, but are all of them are still understood aboard.

In addition, lorry is their word for a truck. While their words are greatly differently then American
words people from both countries would understand what the other was saying. While many of these
of the types of English vary as much as American and British English, it is still understood around the
world. Without there being English many of the Presidents, dictators, tyrants, and terrorist couldn t
understand each other. At all of their meeting there would have to be someone that spoke all of the
languages that the members of the meeting spoke, or several translators which would make the it even
more difficult. Also, with all the types of ethnic groups that are in America, there was to be one
common language that everybody can understand. If America didn t speak English, everybody in
America, and around the world, would have to find one common language for the entire world to learn
to speak. English was merely the easiest for everybody to pick up. English can be traced back as far as
the early 1100 s B.C. The Anglo Saxons in England spread their language as many different enemies
tried to take over England, but failed. They would force their prisoners to learn their language, and
inter grade themselves into society. The language grew even more steadily as the criminals of England
were being sailed all the way around the world to Australia. The criminals would be dropped off there
and forced to learn

A Clean Well-Lighted Place 1
A Clean Well Lighted Place
In the short story A Clean Well lighted Place by Ernest Hemingway the setting is very important. The
story takes place in a Spanish speaking country in a café, but more so than the actual place the time is
what makes the setting so crucial to the story. The story takes place at night Hemingway uses this in
contrast to the well lighted cafe with its artificial light. The contrast between dark and light is the main
idea of the story and it is best expressed through the setting of the story. There are many different
examples of this some are literal examples and some are more symbolic. The setting is symbolic as
well as literal. It is a place that is not safe after dark a place where some one even a soldier ... Show

After the younger waiter goes home he carries on the conversation by himself. He explains that music
isn t good that a bar isn t good that a person of dignity would not be in places such as those. A clean
well lighted café was different for him. A bar or a nightclub, where music is played, is for people who
want the night who want to stay out and be in none respectful places. The older waiter tells the
younger waiter I am of those who like to stay late at the café with all those who don t want to go to
bed. With all those who need a light for the night (Hemingway 150). People like the older waiter and
the old deaf man not only want to be out at night but they need to bee out at night because they don t
like the light or the day and the café provides a clean and respectful place for them to be. The older
waiter says, each night I am reluctant to close because there might be some one who needs the café
(Hemingway 150). The setting also becomes a safe but artificial place for people like the waiter and
the old deaf man to be. The setting in the story is dominated by the dark and the nothingness that
comes with the night. Even when the light is available the characters in the story still naturally go to
the shadows created by the tree and the artificial light in the dark. The dark is more comforting to
these people because they do not like who they are or what they have become. The setting in this story
is also a dark and unsafe environment for people who would

Personal Statement On Personal And Social Holiness
In my last, in process paper I discussed how my pursuit of personal and social holiness developed my
calling in ministry. As I reflect on the journey of discovering my call to ministry, I cannot help but to
reflect on the mountaintops and valleys the Lord I have walked. It is refreshing and convicting at the
same time as I read through the texts for this module, knowing that the Holy Spirit is at work refining
me more like Christ, and also affirming the choices and decisions I have made to be where I am today.
As you read through this paper my hope is that one will see my personal/social victories and failures,
and how God has been at work molding me like a potter. I grew up in a Christian home, or at least a
partial Christian home. I say that because my mom had me in church every Sunday, but my dad really
did not take part in it unless it was Christmas or Easter. I mention this, because it was in that partial
Christian home, where I was first exposed to pornography. As I reflected on the content of this
module, my journey of overcoming temptations, and being forgiven for poor decisions strikes a chord
as I reflect on the process of integrity, and part of that journey has been filled with the pollution of
porn. Author Headley, describes Grace not so evident in its arrival, but transforming in power
(Headley, 180). This description resonates with me as I found myself in sin many times, and the
transforming power of grace seemed to always sneak up when I least suspected it.

The At The Graph, There Been Fluctuations On The Price Of...
From looking at the graph, there have been fluctuations in the share price from the 24th September
2014 till 5th November 2014. For a week from the 8th October 2014, the share prices have dropped.
This could have been due to a decrease in revenue. As a result, this may have led to investors falling
out with Cineworld and therefore, people may not have wanted to invest in the company due to its
poor sales. From the 15th October 2014 to the 29th October, there has been a steady increase in the
share price. This could have been due to an increase in sales and therefore building up investors
confidence to buy shares in Cineworld. Task 3 Cineworld Group was founded in 1995 by Steve
Wiener and Senior Management Team. It is one of the leading cinema groups in Europe. Between
1996 and 2004, 35 multiplex cinemas opened with the first one being located in Stevenage. Originally
a private company, Cineworld re registered as a public company in May 2006 and was listed on the

What Is The Impact Of Foraging Mode A Snake
This essay is about the impacts of foraging mode on the morphology, physiology and ecology of
snakes. But before exploring the impacts, need to understand how or why snakes select particular
habitats, be it a desert, grassland, rainforest, aquatic, etc. whether active during the day or night is also
important. The reason is foraging mode (food that an animal eat and the way it obtains it) is central to
their ecology.
It is important to note that snakes have undergone adaptive measures since their origin. They have
diversified into large number of species occupying large ecological habitat. The driving and limiting
factors of this selection have to be highlighted. Examples physical limiting factors include

The Demise Of The Qing Dynasty
Many people argued that Empress Dowager Cixi accelerated the speed of the demise of the Qing
dynasty. Cixi might be a blasting fuse but she was not accounted for the final fall of the dynasty. The
actions Cixi took had profoundly changed the foundation of feudal China so as to push China forward
into a modern stage. Although many historical data suggested that whatever Cixi had done were to
consolidate her authority and personal status. But no matter what, the impact on the country was
obvious. Cixi broke the previous traditions from Confucianism that had been lasted for centuries.
Tensions between the Manchus and Han Chinese had been greatly improved, which made a great
contribution to China for later unification. Under the reign of the Empress Dowager, the social
structure had undergone a series of changes. Qing s demise is doomed, this was resulted from issues
that had stacked up from previous generations. Moreover, Cixi did her best to secure China s status in
the world in such a chaotic period in history. She made undeniable contributions to China.
Confucianism is a traditional ideology that has already penetrated into every Chinese head. Its main
principle is to follow the past, changes and new technologies or new objects are not necessary.
Whatever happened in the past are the best standards to follow. The way that Qing government
responded after being defeated in the Opium War was shocking from current perspective. China

What Is The Point Of View In The Call Of The Wild
The title of the book is, The Call of the Wild. The author of the book is Jack London. Call of the Wild
is a book based on animal fiction. This book is important because it tells a story about a dog that goes
through a tough journey and the lesson is telling the readers to not give up considering the conditions
and keep trying.
The time and place The Call of the Wild takes place is in the 1890 s during the Klondike Gold Rush in
Canada. The Call of the Wild s point of view is told from third person limited omniscient. The setting
and point of view affects the story because if it was not told in 3rd person limited omniscient it would
change a majority of the story because most time it is giving a look inside another character s head.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GMOs?
It has been no secret that one of the biggest contributors to GMO crops is Monsanto. This is the same
company responsible for Saccharin, Aspartame, DDT, Agent Orange, Bovine Growth Hormone and
Glyphosate. In addition, they are also responsible for PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls that were used
for coolant fluids for electrical transformers, capacitors, and electric motors). This eventually led to
Monsanto paying out over $600 million in 2003 to residents of Anniston, Alabama, who experienced
severe health problems, including liver disease, neurological disorders and cancer after being exposed
to PCBs.

The Autobiography Of Miss Jane Pittman
In the novel The Autobiography Of Miss Jane Pittman, there were many different stories about

Middle-Class Life Narrative
On the way to work, I tried not to think about Jacob being engaged, but it was impossible. Questions
filled my head as I stopped at red lights and stop signs. Could he actually propose to someone else if
we were still legally married? Did I really want to sign the papers when it was time? Was I going to
change my last name back to Blue? Was I going to have to move? I had no clue, but I knew that I
couldn t afford the mortgage on my house by myself and the rest of the bills. I liked the lifestyle I
lived. I drove a Volvo SUV and didn t have a closet full of high dollar clothes, which was perfectly
fine with me because I didn t need all of that. Middle class living was fine with me. I was satisfied
with just having the bills paid. Coming home to a decent house, in a decent neighborhood was
definitely a blessing. I deserved to be happy, with or without Jacob and that was the bottom line. From

Comparing Women In The Odyssey And Lysistrata
Since the beginning of time, women have always been looked down upon mentally. During the time
period of The Odyssey and Lysistrata, women were known as less powerful gender. They have never
had much say about what goes on around them. Some women were recognized as a sex symbol. In
The Odyssey, some women were goddesses that just wanted sex and other women had to stay at home
to help raise their kids and do all of the feminine work. Compared to The Odyssey, in Lysistrata,
women denied sex against their men to get what they want. In addition, they did not have many
political rights and a say so on what goes on in their country. In comparing both of these stories,
women show similarities toward each other. In The Odyssey it shows that all the women are uniquely
different by their relationships, desire, and personality towards men. In addition, all the women help
represent the typical role of a woman. Their role is very critical in the ongoing adventure in this epic
poem. Homer represents women as strong roles and real life characters such as them being strong,
tough, and diligent. In the story there are three major types of women, which are the goddess, the good
hostess/wife, and seducers. With each one of these female characters they are a vital importance and
add a different type of factor to the story. As Odysseus returns home to his wife Penelope and his son
Telemachus from fighting in the Trojan War he is faced with many obstacles that he must get through

After the number is confirmed every element in the row, column and the box is check to see if the

The Irish Immigration During The Nineteenth Century
During 1850 and the following two decades, a mass Irish immigration to America took place. The
mass immigration carried aspiring individuals and families to come to the the land of opportunity for
the betterment of their future and their children s. Under the rule of Britain, Ireland was thwarted from
industrializing and expanding. While, overseas, the United States was thriving from the technological
advancements and entrepreneurial success, appealing to many emigrants. The Irish immigration in the
late nineteenth century was a result of primarily devastating social factors such as the Great Potato
Famine in Ireland. Most of their expectations were not met in the United States because they were
poorly treated at their low paying, dangerous jobs and were often discriminated due to stereotypes,
resulting in an overall, emotional and physically painful experience with numerous hardships.
During and after the devastating Great Potato Famine in Ireland, many Irish left the country for
America. They viewed America as a land of opportunity that provides more stability and security. The
majority of the immigrants to America were tenant farmers and laborers. The tenants were among the
poorest citizens in respect to the social hierarchy. Under the rule of England, many tenants had to
work harder to produce crops and grains for England rather than for themselves and Ireland. As a
result, many tenants were producing crops that were for commercial uses rather than personal. They

Analysis Of William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
Introduction What s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as
sweet. This quote from Shakespeare is from the balcony scene when Juliet tells Romeo that his name
is meaningless and that he is still a handsome young man and that only their family names are
enemies. This same quote can be applied in today s society in how people address each other based on
different situations, especially when addressing women. There are many different titles that can be
used to address women as opposed to men, but despite the title used, the woman herself does not
change. Only the meaning and stereotype associated with the title used changes.
Throughout the years, the titles used to address women have slowly shifted meaning from that of a
social status to that of a marital status. Erickson (2014) explains that the titles Miss and Mrs. are the
oldest coined terms used to address women, and both of them derive from the title Mistress. Both titles
were generally only used for those of higher power and status. Miss described young girls while Mrs. ,
described women who had governed subjects, was skilled, or who taught. Upon reaching adulthood, a
Miss became a Mrs. , and according to the Oxford English Dictionary, it was common for older,
unmarried women to still use the title Mrs. so they could increase their standing to be on par with
married women. This was why sometimes this referred to as a title of politeness or courtesy title. But

Digital Vs. Digital Pen
Abstract This digital pen is a computer invention that transmits writing into digital media. Digital
technology is entering today s classrooms and learning environments. Digital pen and paper user
interfaces bridge the gap between both worlds by electronically capturing the interactions of a user
with a pen on real paper. Our Digital pen and paper platform is a quick, easy and reliable way of
capturing and sending information from outside the office. Use a digital pen to fill out a form, draw a
sketch, and then send an exact image of the form to your office via mobile phone or PC, securely, in
an instant. The digital pen also known as an electronic pen together with normal paper overprinted
with a dot pattern captures the pen strokes with a tiny camera. It records an exact image of the
handwriting and the form it was written on. The data is securely uploaded via a compatible mobile
phone or by docking with a PC .In this paper we are going to introduce how written document is

To be a good naval officer or military member, one must learn from the success and failure of those
around them. During the American Civil war, the Confederate navy attempted to adopt the same
strategies previously used by US Naval forces in the revolutionary war and was a failure due to their
inability to recognize economic, and strategical changes.
Tactics Recycled
The similarities between the United States, during the revolution, and the Confederacy uprising are
surprisingly abundant. During the start of the Revolutionary war in 1776, the state of the colonies was
not very structured. Among a fractured government and a nonexistent military, the newly founded

At the start of the war, if the confederacy had been its own country, it would have been considered the
4th wealthiest country (Bateman Weiss). Though they were considered wealthy, most of the funds had
been put into slavery and agriculture so when the time came to purchase supplies from a foreign ally,
they began to go into debt. By purchasing gunboats, frigates and other supplies from the British, the
South quickly began to use up its liquid wealth. Without the wealth to pay sailors, more men began
commerce raiding thus reducing the already low amount of men the south had to fight. Now that
wealth was an issue, the strategy of privateering and commerce raiding began to have negative effects.
Though the commerce raiding was successful, the act also caused significant losses to navy personnel
and overall ability. The Confederacy was forced to use more shallow water tactics in efforts to draw
the Union Navy into fire from forts on land. Due to the Confederacy s inability to notice how the
Colonial Navy used low funds and succeed, the Southern state was unsuccessful in the war of

Gabriel Garcia Marquez s Short Story Sleeping Beauty on...
I. Introduction Gabriel Garcia Marquez is not the first author to reinvent classic European fairy tales.
Yet his short story Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane, alternatively titled The Plane of Sleeping Beauty
is a remarkable retelling of the Grimm Brothers original Briar Rose. The original story includes
themes of jealousy, fate, and romantic love. Marquez abandons jealousy, as there is no evil queen
spinning a trap for the princess. Therefore Marquez s Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane provides a
unique lens for viewing and revisiting the Grimm Brothers Briar Rose. Marquez s story distorts the
original fairy tale, highlighting the power of unrequited physical attraction between strangers. II. Body
Paragraph: Introducing the Lens A. Summary: The narrator is a man traveling from Paris to New York.
While waiting in line to check in, he spies the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen in my life. The
man proceeds to follow the woman, and fate would have it that he picked the seat right next to her.
The woman sleeps the entire time on the plane, giving rise to the sleeping beauty motif. Unlike the
original Briar Rose, though, the narrator never becomes her prince. He does not kiss her to wake her
from the slumber, and they do not live happily ever after. Instead they barely speak. B. As a lens for
Briar Rose, Marquez s Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane is told from the prince s perspective. Only for
Marquez, the prince neither kisses nor wins over the heart of

Victoria Geography
The landscape of Victoria is key to surviving down there. Located in the Western Cordillera, the
mountainous area has long narrow inlets called fjords that separate this area. The Coastal Mountains,
although rugged and glaciated at times, have many different large forests along the mountain that
consist of cedar and oak trees that can work as protection from predators or animals lurking around. In
addition, the rolling landscapes/lowlands contain granite rocks that create a beautiful scenery and

First of all, the climate and the vegetation will work hand in hand in your survival. Victoria is a place
that has a more moderate, dryer climate in the summer and mild, average amount of precipitation. This
is important to the vegetation because it s not too cold where you can t grow anything (seeds, flowers,
herbs etc.) and it s not too hot in certain areas where your crops will burn out and leave you hungry.
Then, the landscape and the climate work together varying from the availability of water to the
population of people fleeing there. Victoria has a very beautiful scenery and the climate works with it
so that you can feel comfortable when appreciating the view. Although it is one of the major tourist
attractions, but not many people spend a lot of their time in the forests on the mountains, therefore
giving you an advantage of space and utilities. In addition the climate works so that the water that is
near you will not diminish and can access it easily by simply walking down to the fjords. Keep in
mind that soil and vegetation also work hand in hand because depending on where you decide to
camp, there will be different types of soil that can affect your planting (I.e. Leached soil). If you re
looking to plant more seeds and herbs look out for sandy loam, which is an even mixture of all the
types of soils and will be easiest to attend to by composting any fruit or nut items you have. Lastly the
climate and the soil work well together because although it can be quite dry in Victoria, there is
enough precipitation to treat the soil instead of damaging (for example having too much precipitation

We see notable risks in a pure laissez faire let them work it out for themselves approach. Large
amounts of money, resources, and effort are being committed (by government agencies, by academic

development, maintenance, and promotion of various forms of communications technologies for use
in global science. However, in the absence of a valid theory of how scholarly fields adopt and shape
technology, scientists and policy makers are left only with context free models, and hence resources
may be committed to projects that are not self sustainable, that wither, and that do not effectively

Research Paper On Elephant Poaching
The Poaching Of Elephants And Rhinos.

Although it was made illegal around the 1800s, poaching remains a big problem across the world.

But what would that do? One of the main challenges is that nobody can predict how legalizing trade
will affect the behavior of the end users in Asia. The government doesn t know if it will make people
more or less likely to poach elephants and rhinos. Many conservation groups have expressed concern
over the concept of legalizing the rhino horn trade. One key issue regarding this solution to rhino
poaching will be to understand how the trade in rhino horn will be regulated. One of the main reasons
for their opposition is that the government doesn t think it will be enforceable. This is because markets
where the trade would be active like in Vietnam simply do not have the necessary enforcement
regimes in place, history shows that occasional sales of elephant ivory have not reduced poaching for
ivory (african wildlife detective). While some people think legalizing the ivory trade is a good idea
most people do not agree with this

Stroke And Infarction With Hormonal Contraception
Stroke and Infarction with Hormonal Contraception
During one year, one in 3,000 women who are taking oral contraceptives will develop a blood clot
(James, n.d.). These blood clots can lead to more dangerous events such as a thrombotic strokes or
myocardial infarctions. Through a nursing research article from The New England Journal of
Medicine, a study was conducted in Denmark to assess the risks of taking oral contraceptives and its
correlation with stroke and infarction. The article explains the purpose, the subjects of the study, how
the subjects were protected, findings, and implications that may be used for practice. The
pathophysiology of how oral contraceptives cause blood clots and how these blood clots cause strokes
and infarctions will also be discussed.
A thrombotic embolism appears to correspond with the estrogen dosage. Estrogen/progestogen oral
contraception affects blood clotting by increasing plasma fibrinogen and the activity of coagulation
factors, thus making the blood more prone to clotting. The inhibitor of coagulation is usually
decreased as well. Platelet activity is also enhanced with acceleration of aggregation (Bonnar, 1987).
These changes that occur in the blood while taking oral contraceptives create a state of
hypercoagulability. Hypercoagulable state means there is an abnormally increased shift toward blood
clotting. The hypercoagulability state of the blood causes the formation of blood clots that travel to the
brain or the heart

Gunther Schuller s Music For Brass Ensemble
In the second movement of his Music for Brass Quintet, Gunther Schuller utilizes unique articulations,
rhythmic variance, and different combinations of mutes resulting in tension built from the swiftly
changing textures. Throughout the movement Schuller takes advantage of brass instruments ability to
double and triple tongue quickly. As seen in measure 3, he sets up the trumpet, horn, and trombone to
tongue at different speeds while raising in dynamic. Due to the similar timbre of these instruments, the
result is an unstable homophonic texture that sounds aggressive. Schuller then has the instruments
jump down to a piano dynamic. This decision is risky, due to the fact that all of the instruments are

here. The horn continues the ostinato figure from the previous figure. Overall this allows for the rest
of the ensemble to act as the solo voices collectively, and allows the rhythmic variance they have
against the horn to stand out. In measure 68 we see the opposite combination used, where everyone is
muted except for the tuba. This was likely done so that the tuba would have a distinct difference in
color comparatively. This is necessary for its melodic line to cut through the ensemble. The end of the
piece features the only change in the muted horn in the movement. In measure 73 Schuller marks the
horn to play half muted. This technique results in a hold unstable sound, perfect for summing up the
themes of the movement.
In Gunther Schuller s second movement of his Music for Brass Quintet, he utilizes brass instruments
range, articulations, and muting abilities to create an unstable rhythmically complex piece that still
carries a melodic

Pride And Fire Chapter 1 Summary
With the force of a tornado fire and smoke pour out of the cardboard box engulfing the entire
apartment building in flames. Theodore turns around and watches as the fire eats away at the building
killing everyone unlucky enough to live on the second and third floors. The flames reflect off the
moon and Theodore s eyes. In the distance the former prince can hear sirens so Theodore runs away
from the apartment faster than a rabbit running from a fox. Theodore runs to the restaurant which is
now mostly empty except for Frederick and two of his goons. Theodore walks through the restaurant s
front doors and into the back room where Frederick is eating a piece of lasagna. The lasagna was
obviously just taken out of the stove, but Frederick ignores ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Bullets begin making their way through the metal walls forcing Caroline to run behind a desk waiting
for her chance to gain the upper hand. The group of men stop firing their weapons and everything goes
quiet. Caroline peers out of the dirt lined window and sees the man in the circle has sprung back to
life. The group of men all lye on the ground around the man in pools of their own blood and bullet
casings. Caroline holsters her weapon runs out of the office and down a flight of metal stairs. The man
in the circle looks at Caroline as if hes looking at an old friend and patiently waits for her to say
something to him. What happened? Well it would appear that these men weren t properly trained in
gun safety based on the fact they shot at me. That s not what I m talking about how are you alive and
what happened to the people who killed you? You must have been seeing things a trick of the light
perhaps they didn t kill me giving me the chance to kill them while they were busy shooting at you.
Who are you? Benjamin Lennon at your service madam. Well I m Caroline Murphy a NYPD
detective, and I am going to need to take you to the station so I can ask you a couple of

Article Review On Donald Trump
Among the websites that were listed for us to examine were some that focused on certain topics such
as the salaries of our congressmen and the happenings of the US treasury, and others that were broad
and covered many topics. I found myself spending more time on these websites that covered many
topics. The Daily Caller is one of these broad websites that featured the current events in politics, the
international community, entertainment, sports and business. The political section on the Daily Caller
seems to favor a more conservative stance, but is by no means a conservative website. Donald Trump
of course was making news, with his words that were directed to North Korea during his speech at an
airbase in Japan. These soldiers in Japan ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People have been pushing for a more background checks and calling for convicted domestic abusers to
not be allowed guns. The Daily Caller reported that there is in fact already such a law in place. In 1996
there was a federal law passed that prohibits people who have been charged with domestic violence
from purchasing or possessing guns. In 2016 the Supreme Court upheld this law. Gun control is a
touchy subject, and I personally feel that the laws that the government enacts can always be
circumvented. For example, this Devin Kelley should never have been allowed to buy a gun, and yet
he did. The increase in recent years of mass shootings is not due to a more readily available supply of
guns and ammo or laxer laws, rather it is the people. These nut jobs are the crux of the problem, and I
don t have a solution to fail safely prevent mentally disturbed persons from acquiring guns. That being
said, I do think that laws are effective, although not foal proof. I m confident that there has been
several shooting prevented by denying certain persons guns, and that s why I m for gun control laws.
While the world section of the Daily Caller covers many avenues of new, a large portion of it seems to
be focused on conflicts in the international community. North Korea is suffering under the heaviest
sanctions that have been placed on them. A former North Korean financial official has stated that he is
unsure if North Korea will be able to survive

The Pros And Cons Of Stress
Stress is a major part of everyday life, it is defined as a response to a threat or pressure. Stress is
caused by stressors, which are physical or psychological demands to which an individual responds. A
reaction or response to a stressor is called strain (Landy Conte, 2016, p. 372). Whether it be physical
or psychological stress, sound mental and body health are crucial when it comes to performing job
functions safely, efficiently, and effectively. Increased levels of stress can often lead to mental health
and psychical disorders at the expense of the worker. This very reason is why it must be studied,
resolved, and prevented in the workplace when possible. Beginning with an assembly line worker,
common stressors related to this position can include physical stressors such as repetitive actions,
heavy lifting, and persistent standing, or psychological stress concerns with autonomy and lack of
control. There is concerns that doing repetitive motions and tasks can lead to musculoskeletal
disorders, such as repetitive strain injuries. OSHA has stated this including the mention of performing
same or similar tasks repetitively. Exposure to these known risk factors for MSDs increases a worker s
risk of injury ( Ergonomics , 2017). Heavy lifting and persistent standing can contribute significantly
to physical stress. Standing for long periods of time in the same position, as most assembly line
workers do, can lead to circulatory issues as well has fatigue and muscle

Importance Of Suspension Of Disbelief In Theatre
Suspension of disbelief is an essential feature of theatre. Is it essential in other areas of knowledge?
The title states that suspension of disbelief is an essential feature of theatre, a discipline within the
area of knowledge of the arts and it includes suspending our own awareness of this unreality, in order
to be immersed in and enjoy the story we are reading, watching or listening to. Therefore, it could be
argued that suspension of disbelief is essential in the Arts and other areas of knowledge, because in
order to be immersed and have a deeper understanding you need to suspend your own thoughts of the
unreality of what you are interpreting or visualising. Whilst theatre is one of the disciplines in the Arts,
which like other subjective areas of knowledge such as Religion provide personal and subjective
knowledge through the suspension of disbelief, it could be argued that suspension of disbelief is also
essential in other more objective subjects, such as Maths and Science. Whilst the Arts and Religion,
heavily rely on interpretation of symbolic and figurative meanings, which cannot be evidenced
through a direct correspondence with reality, Science and Maths also rely on abstract concepts that
create a visual representation of reality through symbols and equations, rather than a reality that can be
directly observed. It could be argued that suspension of disbelief is, an essential part of knowing in so
much as knowing is a process of joining between shared

Character Analysis Of Buster Keaton s Sherlock Jr
In Sherlock Jr, demonstrate a man which is a movie projectionist frustrated in love because the object
of his affections is attracted to a dishonest rival. Sherlock Jr is also an aspiring detective, and when the
girl s father s pocket watch disappears he tries to take charge of the situation. But the rival contrives to
make him look like the culprit. While projecting a show about two lovers and a similar domestic
crime, Sherlock experiences a bizarre daydream of entering the world of the movie. Buster Keaton
introduces a man who is trying to impress a girl by giving her a ring. There are certain things in the
scene that makes it part of the plot; such as the ring and the reaction to it, the framing, and acting.
Buster Keaton uses the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the close up; which appear in a second minute shot, it goes back to the medium shot to have the
same scenery before the close up. The close up is interpreted when the director wants to have a better
vision for the audience to see the ring that Sherlock Jr gives to the girl. Thus, the audience attentive
the importance of the object to the main characters.
Further, he uses a close up of the ring to show excitement and anxiety of the scene. As I mentioned,
the close up of the scene is important because it s a demonstration of a better perspective of the ring.
The excitement in a way the girl wants to know what is inside the ring, and the feeling of wearing it.
The anxiety of being nervous at the same time.
In addition, the setting happens in the girl s house which is middle class. In my perspective, the
director chooses this setting to emphasize the events yet to come, and it is where the plot begins to
form. For example, its fashion, and the quality of the furniture made it seem to have the feeling of a
middle class house. Thus, the setting of the house presents the major events of the film overall. Keaton
uses the actor s facial expressions, framing to build the excitement and anxiety of the scene. He uses
acting to express their facial expressions to demonstrate emotions by showing excitement and
disappointment while giving a ring, and anxiety in both characters. The close up of the ring illustrates

Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardi s Saying Grace
Saying Grace is a still life painting by French painter Jean Baptiste Siméon Chardi and it was finished
in the year 1740. The painting portraits the modesty of everyday scenery during 1700 s in Paris,
France. The portrait shows a humble, middle class interior scene, were a mother and her two young
children are gathered around the table for a meal. While the mother arranges the table, the two
children are preparing themselves to say grace by lowering their eyes and heads. Holding a silver
spatula in her right hand, the mother with kind looking eyes, checks her younger child saying her
prayer; while holding one of the child s plate on her other hand.
One can assert that the family comes from humble beginnings by the light colors on their

Analysis Of The Disney Competitive Strategy
A company that would like to expand and continue the health of the company needs to formulate
strategy. There should be goals that plans and actions of a company would attempt to reach. A
company may utilize competitive strategies that in which goals are made with competition in mind
and corporate strategy concerns goal directed plans and actions that target business choices (Coulter,
2013). The Disney Difference and how it Affects the Company s Corporate, Competitive and
Functional Strategies The Disney Difference is the strategic plan that was implemented by the Disney
CEO in 2005, Bob Iger. Mr. Iger determined that there was too much Disney product of inferior
quality available to the public. He also noted that much of Disney s products were old and outdated as
well as targeting too narrow of a young audience. Mr. Iger began to create formulate strategies that
would attract a wide variety of consumers (Coulter, 2013). The Disney brand is traditionally one that
parents trust with their children. When determining what is a functional strategy, not only is there the
world market to explore, but there is the age market. The goals of competitive strategy should be to
develop a brand that multiple ages, genders and cultures would enjoy. Disney competes with other
companies, such as Nickelodeon and Universal Studies. The reason for this these strategies is
maximize consumption which really is profit and corporate survivability (Meyers, McKnight

  • 2. Naoto In Detective Prince From the outside, Naoto seems cool, calm, and collected. At times she can come off as cold or unemotional, but only because, despite her small stature, she attempts to put on the air of someone much more mature than her age. Through this demeanor (and while masquerading as a male), she earned the title of Detective Prince, and was a consultant of the police, although she also often worked on her own. Even with this exterior, however, it s easier to illicit an emotional reaction out of Naoto than it first appears. This is especially true when dealing with a case, or when someone close to her is being threatened. Despite her serious appearance, she can act quite childish and narrow minded at times. Her work and her job is one of her driving forces; her parents were both detectives, and died during an investigation when she was young. You may be walking to your car after a hard day at the job only to find an empty spot where you thought you left it. As you walk through the parking lot, hoping against hope that you may have parked it in another spot, the awful feeling finally sinks home: your car was stolen. Unfortunately, this all too common experience happens to many people because they weren t prepared. They thought it couldn t happen to them because they acted on common car misconceptions about theft that left them without a car. Here are three of them: No One Will Steal My Car Because It s an Old Clunker There are at least two reasons why this is a myth. First, old cars are easier to steal because they lack the latest anti theft technology of the newest cars. While it s true that smart thieves do find ways of defeating state of the art anti theft devices, there are fewer of them around. It s basically a bell shaped curve thing. The more smarts required to steal a car, the fewer the thieves around with the required smarts. The rest simply go after easy targets like your old clunker. They could have made thousands by selling the album on iTunes, physical copies, vinyls etc. And plus they are already fronted by a popular rapper so they wouldn t have a problem with being found. But the answer is simple, perhaps too simple but refreshing. And that s because with Surf, they weren t looking for money. As you may remember, Chance announced the album back late last fall and said that it would be released before the end of 2014. Some may have been irritated at Chance for not keeping his word, but those people are so used to rappers that are signed to labels issuing a deadline to maximize profits. Chance The Rapper is not one of those. Chance The Rapper is a free rapper. Chance took those 6 months to make the music that him and his friends were creating perfect. And not perfect for a record label, perfect for themselves. Which is what every artist should be doing. The popular song Wanna Be Cool perfectly deciphers this. Link Between Mis And The Circadian Clock Aaron Kendrick Essay 1 The Link between Myocardial Infarctions and the Circadian Clock The circadian clock holds large importance in a number of bodily functions including the cardiovascular system. In particular there are a number of connections between the circadian clock and myocardial infarctions (heart attacks). Myocardial infarctions (MIs) as a term is more commonly used in scientific journals than heart attacks, therefore, the term myocardial infarction (MI) will be used throughout the duration of this paper. Overall a discussion of the link between MIs and the circadian clock, the effect of disrupted sleep on MIs, and certain cases where there is an attenuation of the link between the circadian clock and MIs will be considered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, they determined that the lack of an evening peak may be due to less population wide synchronization of MI triggers between 6 and 8 pm (Kanth et al, 2013). However, they did not express what these triggers were. Although the common triggers for MIs are an increase in sympathetic activity, increase in platelet agreeability and a decrease in plasma fibrinolytic activity. Which means that hemostasis, the stopping of flow of blood, is altered and an imbalance between myocardial (muscle of the heart) oxygen supply and demand occurs in the morning. Together these triggers are known to potentially lead to acute MI (Kanth et al, 2013). Therefore, I infer that these triggers have been desynchronized among the population between 6 and 8pm. Another study supports this idea and showed that the number of circulating platelets and their ability to aggregate follows a circadian rhythm, where the highest number of platelets was found in the afternoon, but an increase in aggregation occurred in the morning. This paper also discussed that the peak levels of lipoprotein and fibrinogen, which are discussed in the previous article as plasma fibrinolytic activity , coincided with the peak frequency of MIs (Fournier et al, 2015). However, overall neither paper makes an explicit case for why there is a desynchronization of triggers during the evening ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Crime And The Crimes Of Crime Essay According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (2006) crime is defined as an offence punishable by the State on behalf of the general public whose standards do not permit the offending behaviour. Whilst countless studies have been conducted over the years surrounding crime and the committing of crimes by individuals , there has also long been debate surrounding whether or not crime is gendered and if so, to what extent. Over the decades a number of studies have been conducted in order to answer this question, with significantly varying results uncovered. Whilst some studies, including those by Darrell Steffensmeier and Emilie Allan (1996) and Jennifer Schwartz and Darrell Steffensmeier (2008) have found that gender plays a significant role in the committing of crimes, other studies including that of Kenneth Polk (1993) have found that the prevalence of gender differences in crimes is reliant on the nature of the crime itself. According to Frances Heidensohn (1985), gender appears to be the single most crucial variable associated with criminality (p.22). In agreement with this statement, Steffensmeier and Allan (1996) highlighted in Gender and Crime: Toward a gendered Theory of Female Offending , that worldwide criminologists agree that the gender gap within offenders of crime is universal, in that men are always more likely to commit a criminal act than women. The story takes place in a Spanish speaking country in a café, but more so than the actual place the time is what makes the setting so crucial to the story. The story takes place at night Hemingway uses this in contrast to the well lighted cafe with its artificial light. The older waiter tells the younger waiter I am of those who like to stay late at the café with all those who don t want to go to bed. With all those who need a light for the night (Hemingway 150). • 25. Comparing Women In The Odyssey And Lysistrata Since the beginning of time, women have always been looked down upon mentally. During the time period of The Odyssey and Lysistrata, women were known as less powerful gender. They have never had much say about what goes on around them. Some women were recognized as a sex symbol. In The Odyssey, some women were goddesses that just wanted sex and other women had to stay at home to help raise their kids and do all of the feminine work. Compared to The Odyssey, in Lysistrata, women denied sex against their men to get what they want. In addition, they did not have many political rights and a say so on what goes on in their country. In comparing both of these stories, women show similarities toward each other. In The Odyssey it shows that all the women are uniquely different by their relationships, desire, and personality towards men. In addition, all the women help represent the typical role of a woman. Their role is very critical in the ongoing adventure in this epic poem. Homer represents women as strong roles and real life characters such as them being strong, tough, and diligent. In the story there are three major types of women, which are the goddess, the good hostess/wife, and seducers. With each one of these female characters they are a vital importance and add a different type of factor to the story. • 28. Analysis Of William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet Introduction What s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet. This quote from Shakespeare is from the balcony scene when Juliet tells Romeo that his name is meaningless and that he is still a handsome young man and that only their family names are enemies. This same quote can be applied in today s society in how people address each other based on different situations, especially when addressing women. There are many different titles that can be used to address women as opposed to men, but despite the title used, the woman herself does not change. Only the meaning and stereotype associated with the title used changes. Throughout the years, the titles used to address women have slowly shifted meaning from that of a social status to that of a marital status. Erickson (2014) explains that the titles Miss and Mrs. are the oldest coined terms used to address women, and both of them derive from the title Mistress. Both titles were generally only used for those of higher power and status. Miss described young girls while Mrs. , described women who had governed subjects, was skilled, or who taught. Upon reaching adulthood, a Miss became a Mrs. , and according to the Oxford English Dictionary, it was common for older, unmarried women to still use the title Mrs. so they could increase their standing to be on par with married women. Yet his short story Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane, alternatively titled The Plane of Sleeping Beauty is a remarkable retelling of the Grimm Brothers original Briar Rose. The original story includes themes of jealousy, fate, and romantic love. Marquez abandons jealousy, as there is no evil queen spinning a trap for the princess. Therefore Marquez s Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane provides a unique lens for viewing and revisiting the Grimm Brothers Briar Rose. Marquez s story distorts the original fairy tale, highlighting the power of unrequited physical attraction between strangers. II. Body Paragraph: Introducing the Lens A. Summary: The narrator is a man traveling from Paris to New York. While waiting in line to check in, he spies the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen in my life. The man proceeds to follow the woman, and fate would have it that he picked the seat right next to her. The woman sleeps the entire time on the plane, giving rise to the sleeping beauty motif. Unlike the original Briar Rose, though, the narrator never becomes her prince. He does not kiss her to wake her from the slumber, and they do not live happily ever after. Instead they barely speak. B. As a lens for Briar Rose, Marquez s Sleeping Beauty on the Airplane is told from the prince s perspective. Only for Marquez, the prince neither kisses nor wins over the heart of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First of all, the climate and the vegetation will work hand in hand in your survival. Victoria is a place that has a more moderate, dryer climate in the summer and mild, average amount of precipitation. This is important to the vegetation because it s not too cold where you can t grow anything (seeds, flowers, herbs etc.) and it s not too hot in certain areas where your crops will burn out and leave you hungry. Then, the landscape and the climate work together varying from the availability of water to the population of people fleeing there. Victoria has a very beautiful scenery and the climate works with it so that you can feel comfortable when appreciating the view. Although it is one of the major tourist attractions, but not many people spend a lot of their time in the forests on the mountains, therefore giving you an advantage of space and utilities. In addition the climate works so that the water that is near you will not diminish and can access it easily by simply walking down to the fjords. Keep in mind that soil and vegetation also work hand in hand because depending on where you decide to camp, there will be different types of soil that can affect your planting (I.e. Leached soil). If you re looking to plant more seeds and herbs look out for sandy loam, which is an even mixture of all the types of soils and will be easiest to attend to by composting any fruit or nut items you have. Stroke And Infarction With Hormonal Contraception Stroke and Infarction with Hormonal Contraception During one year, one in 3,000 women who are taking oral contraceptives will develop a blood clot (James, n.d.). These blood clots can lead to more dangerous events such as a thrombotic strokes or myocardial infarctions. Through a nursing research article from The New England Journal of Medicine, a study was conducted in Denmark to assess the risks of taking oral contraceptives and its correlation with stroke and infarction. The article explains the purpose, the subjects of the study, how the subjects were protected, findings, and implications that may be used for practice. The pathophysiology of how oral contraceptives cause blood clots and how these blood clots cause strokes and infarctions will also be discussed. A thrombotic embolism appears to correspond with the estrogen dosage. Estrogen/progestogen oral contraception affects blood clotting by increasing plasma fibrinogen and the activity of coagulation factors, thus making the blood more prone to clotting. The inhibitor of coagulation is usually decreased as well. Platelet activity is also enhanced with acceleration of aggregation (Bonnar, 1987). These changes that occur in the blood while taking oral contraceptives create a state of hypercoagulability. Hypercoagulable state means there is an abnormally increased shift toward blood clotting. The hypercoagulability state of the blood causes the formation of blood clots that travel to the brain or the heart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While it would be assumed that the only muted voice would be the foreground of the section, the opposite is presented here. The horn continues the ostinato figure from the previous figure. Overall this allows for the rest of the ensemble to act as the solo voices collectively, and allows the rhythmic variance they have against the horn to stand out. In measure 68 we see the opposite combination used, where everyone is muted except for the tuba. This was likely done so that the tuba would have a distinct difference in color comparatively. This is necessary for its melodic line to cut through the ensemble. The end of the piece features the only change in the muted horn in the movement. Gun control is a touchy subject, and I personally feel that the laws that the government enacts can always be circumvented. For example, this Devin Kelley should never have been allowed to buy a gun, and yet he did. The increase in recent years of mass shootings is not due to a more readily available supply of guns and ammo or laxer laws, rather it is the people. These nut jobs are the crux of the problem, and I don t have a solution to fail safely prevent mentally disturbed persons from acquiring guns. That being said, I do think that laws are effective, although not foal proof. I m confident that there has been several shooting prevented by denying certain persons guns, and that s why I m for gun control laws. While the world section of the Daily Caller covers many avenues of new, a large portion of it seems to be focused on conflicts in the international community. North Korea is suffering under the heaviest sanctions that have been placed on them. A former North Korean financial official has stated that he is unsure if North Korea will be able to survive ... Stress is caused by stressors, which are physical or psychological demands to which an individual responds. A reaction or response to a stressor is called strain (Landy Conte, 2016, p. 372). Whether it be physical or psychological stress, sound mental and body health are crucial when it comes to performing job functions safely, efficiently, and effectively. Increased levels of stress can often lead to mental health and psychical disorders at the expense of the worker. This very reason is why it must be studied, resolved, and prevented in the workplace when possible. Beginning with an assembly line worker, common stressors related to this position can include physical stressors such as repetitive actions, heavy lifting, and persistent standing, or psychological stress concerns with autonomy and lack of control. There is concerns that doing repetitive motions and tasks can lead to musculoskeletal disorders, such as repetitive strain injuries. OSHA has stated this including the mention of performing same or similar tasks repetitively. Exposure to these known risk factors for MSDs increases a worker s risk of injury ( Ergonomics , 2017). Heavy lifting and persistent standing can contribute significantly to physical stress. Standing for long periods of time in the same position, as most assembly line workers do, can lead to circulatory issues as well has fatigue and muscle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Importance Of Suspension Of Disbelief In Theatre Suspension of disbelief is an essential feature of theatre. Is it essential in other areas of knowledge? The title states that suspension of disbelief is an essential feature of theatre, a discipline within the area of knowledge of the arts and it includes suspending our own awareness of this unreality, in order to be immersed in and enjoy the story we are reading, watching or listening to. Therefore, it could be argued that suspension of disbelief is essential in the Arts and other areas of knowledge, because in order to be immersed and have a deeper understanding you need to suspend your own thoughts of the unreality of what you are interpreting or visualising. Whilst theatre is one of the disciplines in the Arts, which like other subjective areas of knowledge such as Religion provide personal and subjective knowledge through the suspension of disbelief, it could be argued that suspension of disbelief is also essential in other more objective subjects, such as Maths and Science. Whilst the Arts and Religion, heavily rely on interpretation of symbolic and figurative meanings, which cannot be evidenced through a direct correspondence with reality, Science and Maths also rely on abstract concepts that create a visual representation of reality through symbols and equations, rather than a reality that can be directly observed. It could be argued that suspension of disbelief is, an essential part of knowing in so much as knowing is a process of joining between shared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The close up is interpreted when the director wants to have a better vision for the audience to see the ring that Sherlock Jr gives to the girl. Thus, the audience attentive the importance of the object to the main characters. Further, he uses a close up of the ring to show excitement and anxiety of the scene. As I mentioned, the close up of the scene is important because it s a demonstration of a better perspective of the ring. The excitement in a way the girl wants to know what is inside the ring, and the feeling of wearing it. The anxiety of being nervous at the same time. In addition, the setting happens in the girl s house which is middle class. In my perspective, the director chooses this setting to emphasize the events yet to come, and it is where the plot begins to form. For example, its fashion, and the quality of the furniture made it seem to have the feeling of a middle class house. Thus, the setting of the house presents the major events of the film overall. Keaton uses the actor s facial expressions, framing to build the excitement and anxiety of the scene. He uses acting to express their facial expressions to demonstrate emotions by showing excitement and disappointment while giving a ring, and anxiety in both characters. The close up of the ring illustrates a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
