About ‘Herts Corner’
Herts corner is a footballing magazine which will be based around
football clubs in Hertfordshire.
Our magazine will look at:
• Insights into some of the biggest football clubs in Hertfordshire
• In-depth interviews with club staff and footballers
• Behind the scenes in some of the biggest football clubs and academies
in Hertfordshire
Why?
Recently racism has taken the feel good factor
from football. Players have been abused on and off
the pitch. Fans have been banned and games have
almost been called off due to the growing toxic
atmosphere.
Why does this have an impact on Hertfordshire?
• It was reported that racist chants were
sung at Tottenham Hotspur, a north
London football club with a heavy
Hertfordshire support.
Because of this, we at Herts Corner
feel as if it is our mission to spread
positivity and bring back a communal
aspect to Hertfordshire football.
USP- (Unique Selling Point)
‘Herts Corner’ is a magazine which is exclusive to
the region of Hertfordshire.
This means that our we cover exclusive content
based of Hertfordshire football teams, such as
Watford F.C., Onslow Football Academy and more.
This is important for our audience as Hertfordshire
is a very football orientated county.
Because Hertfordshire doesn’t have any notable
footballing magazines we feel as if it would be very
easy for us to enter the new market
Target Audience
Because of this we have planned to aim our
magazine to as wide a demographic as we
possibly can.
• Our target audience would be aged 14-25
• ‘Herts Corners’ Primary target audience
would usually be 14-25 year old males
• However due to the recent rise in interest
of women's football, our secondary
audience would also be 14-25 year old
women.

Because our target demographic is
younger we've determined that the three
social media platforms that we would
focus on would be Snapchat, Twitter and
Instagram

Martins is widely regarded as one of
the biggest newsagents in the U.K. With
over 30 stores located in Hertfordshire
region alone.
This would be vital for our magazines
success as gaining the trust of a well
established distributor which would not
only gain better supplier-distributor
relations but also public recognition.
