This document describes a study that assessed the knowledge of patients undergoing hemodialysis regarding their treatment and self-care. The study used a descriptive design and surveyed 100 patients undergoing hemodialysis at selected hospitals in Hubli, Karnataka. The study assessed patients' demographic characteristics and knowledge across four areas. It found that most patients were aged 41-60, female, had secondary education, and an income under Rs. 100,000 per year. The study also found that the structured teaching program significantly improved patients' knowledge and attitude scores regarding hemodialysis and self-care.
