Sped Student Reflective Report
A trend that surprised me was the students that are a lower academic level were more effective with
tools. For example Lan a student, I have had for 3 years is a SPED student that wants to be a
mechanic. I have a good relationship with Lan, however, during class, he was defiant, often refused to
work, and was a distraction. Yet he mastered using the compass in two attempts. I ask him to help
others use the tool to increase his confidence. This also allowed others to see him as a valuable
member of our class. I have observed Lan engaged more since and telling others to get to work . He
also began to join group work and help refocused other when off task, saying come on let s get to
work . These are things he would not do before this unit. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, Bob told me he was having trouble at home. He was making poor choices, and his
parents are involved in some activities that are causing grandparents to try to gain custody. I also
consider the lack of support and education in the home. With this in mind, I give in class study time
and allow peer tutoring. Lan and Bob asked to work together to correct their formative assessment,
they were the only perfect scores on the summative. The students that were not in class for the
practice, but, were in attendance for the physical activities were able to correctly answer problems
where an object on a graph was to be transformed as demonstrated in questions 1 4 on the summative
assessment. Those students did not use tracing paper, the students that had the in class practice did.
The students that did not use the tracing paper struggled with questions 9 14 on the summative

Socialization Of Homeschool
Parents have the right to choose the path for their child education. They should take the time to
consider the long term effect it could have on their child. Home schooled children could be missing
out on valuable lessons in life and the opportunity to participate in school activities and sporting
events. Socialization plays an important part of a child s growth and understanding of the real world.
Children must learn to respect people in authority outside of the home setting. Just anyone can not
teach education; there should be some guidelines for homeschool just as there are for public schools.
There are many memories made from public or private school settings. As one smart person once
stated, If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane
asylums would be filled with mothers. (Howe). Children and parents need separation periods to
develop and understand different people s perceptive.
Socialization is an important development tool. Every interaction your child has helped him learn
language skills, ways to cope with emotions and how to work within social norms. Once your child is
in school, teachers and peers start to be a major part of socialization, which impacts development by
helping your child feel competent. During early school years, a teacher provides structure and
discipline in a child s day. Homeschool children may not have a structured schedule due to what may
be going on at home. Maybe due to a sibling or

University Health Systems Is The Leading Trauma Center For...
The organization that I have chosen is University Health Systems also known as Bexar County
Hospital. University Health Systems is the leading trauma center for South Texas.. The medical
benefits that are offered can only be used within the organization and the family medical offices. The
University Health Systems is a large organization that is part of the medical school; as well it is the
County Hospital where all the inmates go for treatment. They are expecting every employee to use or
go though the county clinics to seek treatment, which is a challenge in itself as the clinics, are so busy
on any given day or night. There are many reasons to rethink the compensation and benefits that this
organization offers employees. They do offer a large PTO amount each payday; however that is used
for everything such as, sick leave, holiday pay, and vacations. If one of the departments is closed for
the holiday then you are forced to take PTO even if you do not want to. During the first year of
employment, full time staff accrues 28 days at the rate of 8.62 hours every two weeks. The accrual
rate increases with each year of full time service, up to a rate of 38 days per year (University Health
Systems, 2015). Another benefit that is offered is a 457 account in which the company will match 25
cents on the dollar. That is not a very good retirement plan. When looking at the organization as a
whole, there must be some way that the compensation benefits can be re evaluated and

Bilateral Vs. Unilateral Contracts
Esmeralda Aguayo Bus 18 Term Paper Bilateral vs. unilateral contracts As mentioned in The Legal
Environment of Business by Don Mayer, Daniel M. Warner, George J. Siedel, and Jethro K.
Lieberman, a contract can be defined as a legally binding agreement. The requirements of a contract
include an agreement meaning tan offer that has been accepted, consideration which is something of
value, legal purpose defined as the requirement that the consideration matter be legal, proper form
which is the requirement that certain contracts be in writing, and two or more competent parties. When
a contract is formed it must be established whether the contract bilateral or unilateral. A bilateral

The notice of the terms was included outside the parking lot and Thornton accepted the offer by

Frederick Roe who is the defendant and the proprietor of The Carbolic Smoke Ball , placed an
advertisement and promised to pay $100 to anyone who used the Carbolic Smoke Ball for two weeks.
Mrs. Louise Carlill did both and sued to recover her $100, as was promised by Frederick Roe. Carlill
stated that some arguments on the advertisement were not accurately reported. It was also seen that
Carlill had not used the smoke ball correctly or even get influenza which was also one of the
requirements in order to receive the $100. At the court, Carbolic Smoke Ball Co brought up many
legal issues in regards to contract law. One of the claims was that the advertisement was an open door
to treat and that it was too popular in order for the advertisement to be an offer. Furthermore, in a
bilateral contract the acceptance of the offer needs to be communicated and ad seen Carlill never did
that. The court rejected most of these arguments and continued that there was a contract. Moreover,
communication is not necessary since this case has to do with a unilateral contract. Acceptance and
consideration as mentioned is something of value could be establish in the caser of Mrs. Carlill since
she used the Smoke Ball for those two

Toyot The Car Company
Toyoda and Honda are both automobile giants in the world. As everyone knows, Toyota is Japan s
No.1 car company, and Honda is the second car company in Japan. Toyota was founded by Kiichiro
Toyoda in 1937 in Japan, two years after he built his first car. The company began to produce cars,
trucks, vans and SUVs, expanding rapidly through the years. One of Toyota s notable achievements
was the creation of the high end luxury brand, Lexus. Its rival, Honda, came a few years later. Soichiro
Honda first established the Honda Technical Research Institute in 1946 to develop and produce
motorbike engines. In 1948, Honda Motor Company was founded. Honda then joined forces with

The Literary Works Of The First Century Romans
Understanding ancient civilizations is always a hard process. The only resources that are readily
available, are the texts written by people of the times. But which helps better the understanding of the
society and political structures: historical or literary works? The first century Romans are a great
example of this. The literary works of the first century Romans, help further the knowledge about the
ancient civilization. While the historical works do show a lot of the facts from the era, the literary
works possess more information about the people s lives in that time. The political aspects of the
Romans were very advanced. The government system they had set up, was better than any of the other
civilizations of the time. (Virgil, Aeneid) Under the rule of Augustus, the Romans were at some of the
strongest times of the empire s existence. The empire in this time conquered most of the known world.
They were not a force to be taken lightly. Virgil connected the political aspects of his time to the
Greek gods quite often. He would reference the Roman empire as being strong and mighty much like
the gods. (Virgil, Aeneid) He also described the empire as always in a state of tranquility, order, and
emotional stability. (Virgil, Aeneid) Augustus was also highly regarded to during his reign. One
historical fact from the Aeneid that Virgil mentions, would be the hatred between Carthage and Rome.
This was truly a big struggle during the ancient Roman times. The way that Virgil

Elizabethan Era of Music Culture Essay
The music was played very often as a normal routine. People considered it a must to know how to
play an instrument, sing, or be involved somehow with music in this age of time. Instruments in the
1600 s were able to make any type of music; the amazing part was no matter how many instruments
you used it would always sound pure and the same. Another unique thing about the music and culture
in the 1600 s is that it was also healthy for the body. During the Elizabethan Era the people would
gather together to dance and dance for hours, their stamina must have been incredible. Music was use
to entertain most people. Before the music became a big part in people life during the Elizabethan Era

Did you know at times you would be dancing with a complete stranger and you could ve been lucky
enough to meet your dance partners, this made dancing all the more exciting in the Elizabethan Era
time period. Not only did the people love to dance but they would dance for hours and hours a day. I
love to dance but I could imagine how tired I would be after so many hours of dancing. We had two
people to visit our school and what I learned about the women were that no matter what you would
have great posture, reasons being is because they wore this body brace what we call girdles in this age
of time. What the body brace would do is automatically sit the women up at all times. Even if women
so much bend over it could break your ribs. They also told us about the theatre and how they would
practice the stunts they do in most of the drama and actions plays. What many people didn t know was
that the person performing the stunts did very little movements and the person who the stunts was
performed on did most of the work to make the stunt seem so real. All of Shakespeare plays were not
very popular in that period of time like they are now and it s amazing because most things they did we
thought were weird and it flips during our age. It states on the Elizabethanera.org that the history of
the theater is fascinating. How plays were first produced in the yards of inns the Inn yards, the very

Economic and Political Issues that Helped Hitler Rise to...
In the following investigation, the following question will be addressed: In what ways did economic
and political issues in Germany between 1922 and 1932 contribute to Hitler s rise to power? The
scope of my research will fall between the years of 1922 1932, the start of Hitler s attempt to run for
office. A variety of primary and secondary sources will be used to answer the question. The bitterness
caused upon the change of government systems in Germany will be analyzed, along with his
childhood that all primarily drove Hitler to run for power. Then, the harsh effects World War I had on
Germany along with the Great Depression that followed as a result will also be looked at. Finally, a
conclusion will be reached. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, if this were to have existed in a dictatorship, one would merely get used to how
something went because that was how life would be from now on if there was a dictator present. With
all the mess and distress already present, the body of laws present in a democracy is much slower to
be established, while it usually took much less time with a dictator. Rather than one person having to
agree on a law or come up with one, a democracy requires the whole body instead to ratify or accept
it. This is due to the fact that your own personal needs must be given up in a dictatorship, while they
are respected and valued on the other hand in a democracy. Therefore, seeing from all these changes,
the alteration in government that the German government faced must have produced overwhelming
challenges for Germany as a whole. They must completely abandon the norm for them and accustom
themselves once again to a new way of life. Not only will these bring upon conflicts within the human
population, but in all aspects including political, social, and economic qualities. In specificity to all
these problems, it was many problems that accumulated and grew through time that presented a
chance for Hitler to rise to power. Adolf Hitler was not only a strong and powerful leader that could
have rose to power completely on his own, yet many of the inhabitants in Germany was tired of
everything and needed a changed

How did Edward Jenner s discovery and the promotion of the smallpox vaccination enable the

Inherit The Wind Matthew Brady Character Analysis
Matthew Harrison Brady
Inherit the Wind is a fictionalized account of the Scope Trial. The character of Matthew Harrison
Brady is based on the historical figure of William Jennings Bryan. In the play Inherit the Wind by
Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, Bertram Cates is behind bars, awaiting trial for teaching
evolution. Brady will lead the prosecution, and Henry Drummond will represent the defense. Some
may feel that Brady does not care for Cates, and that Brady only wants publicity. However, I disagree.
I believe he truly cares for others and only wants to help. Matthew Harrison Brady is a great man.
In the play, Brady is admired by many. Reverend Brown tells everybody to get ready! Let us show Mr.
Brady the spirit in which we welcome him (1.1.17). When Brady first comes in, all the townspeople
gather together. As soon as they see Brady they start singing Gimme that old time religion, Gimme

The play implies that Brady helped the women get their suffrage. We see this when the Mayor tells
Brady that The lady folks of this town wouldn t have the vote if it wasn t for you, fightin to give em
all that suffrage (1.1.21). He also stands up for Rachel, Cates s friend. In the prayer meeting, Brown is
praying that a lightning strikes his own daughter for defending Cates. Brady comes up to him and
says, I know it is the great zeal of your faith which makes you utter this prayer! But it is possible to be
overzealous, to destroy that which you hope to save so that nothing is left but emptiness (2.1.66 67).
Finally, Brady stands up for the law. He says, I have come because what has happened in a
schoolroom of your town has unloosed a wicked attack . . . an attack upon the law which you have so
wisely placed among the statutes of this state (1.1.20). He stands up for what is right, his friends, and

The Messenger In Antigone
The Messenger delivers an important news to Creon is that Haimon is death, and Antigone killed
herself in the cave. I think that the Messenger means when he says that Harmon was driven mad is
that Haimon went crazy and killed himself because his own father; Creon, killed his girlfriend.
I think that Creon went to bury Polyneices before releasing Antigone because he is afraid that
Antigone will interrupt him while he s doing the burial if there is any mistake or dissatisfaction that
Antigone may seem to have for his brother Polyneices. So that when he release Antigone, Polyneices
burial has been done, and Antigone can t complaint about any mistakes that happened while burying.
Yes, I think that if Creon have release Antigone before burying Polyneices, Haimon and Antigone
would come back together because of their power of love, and this tragic will not going to happen.

Iran Contra Affair Case Study
I. Foreign Policy Puzzle
The Iran Contra Affair in the 1980 s not only caused a disruption in our nation, but also tarnished the
name of President Ronald Reagan. The Iran Contra Affair involved two parties, the Contras, a rebel
group in Nicaragua fighting against their communist government, and Iran. The deal in Iran was a
trade to help negotiate the retrieval of American hostages located in Lebanon. During this period of
time, President Reagan approved the operation that involved the selling of missiles to Iran during an
arms embargo (Hunter, 2012). It was also said by President Reagan that as a country we would not be
rewarding terrorists by any means. One of the bigger issues regarding the money going to the Contras
was the fact that there was no congressional approval (Hurwitz et al., 1989). After the Iran Contra
affair came into the light, President Reagan denied that he knew about the selling of the arms and then
money from the deal, going to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Unusual Tactics by the United States in the Pacific War
The war in the Pacific was unlike any war the United States had fought up until that time. They couldn
t use their normal ground attack tactics; they had to figure out how to win from above. Unlike in the
European front they couldn t move through and allied country to forge a ground attack against their
enemy. They needed to find a way to hit Japan from the air with the added difficulty of the mainland
being across an ocean from the target. Before any attack could be launched the U.S. needed supplies in
the form of long range bombers. These bombers were extremely important in the Pacific Theater,
without them the U.S. wouldn t have beaten Japan.
After the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 it took the United States until
April of 1942 to retaliate. That was done through the Doolittle Raid. A group of 16 B 25 launched
from the USS Hornet to conduct the first bombing on Japanese soil. Despite not having very much of
a military significance the raid of Tokyo was a great boost to the moral of military and the public of
the United States. It showed both Japan and the U.S. that Japan wasn t out of reach and was no longer
isolated in the Pacific. After the 1942 campaign it wasn t until 1944 when the U.S. launched another
bombing attack on Japan. At the beginning the War in the Pacific had a slow start, much of that had to
do with the preparation it took to attack the enemy in a new style of warfare.
The Doolittle raid proved the need for a long range bomber.

The Legal Protections For Disabled People
Disability in America Legal protections for disabled people in America are essential because disabled
people face overwhelming discrimination, and the legislation helps provides equality in an unfair
world.
Imagine driving home late at night, falling asleep behind the wheel, and swerving into oncoming
traffic. When you wake up in the hospital, you can t use your legs. You might not be disabled today,
but what about tomorrow? Some people are born with a disability, and some people become disabled.
Some disability rights activists use the term temporarily abled to describe how there isn t a line set in
stone between us and them . Disabled people face discrimination because they are dehumanized and
seen as lesser than abled people. As a result, politically correct terms used to describe disabled people
change frequently, an example of the euphemism treadmill . Ableism is when disabled people are seen
as broken and able people are seen as superior, which results in words used to describe disability
becoming insults. When a child calls someone stupid, or retarded, or dumb, or an idiot, or lame, or
moronic, they aren t thinking about how the words they are using oppress disabled people by turning
who they are into an insult. Our society raises children to believe that some people are better than
others, an example of the entrenched discrimination disabled people face. Only 45 countries in the
world have laws that specifically protect disabled people (CITE), but disabled

Pre school education
The pre school sector includes a patchwork quilt of places provided by state, voluntary and private
nurseries, childminders and playgroups available to children between the ages of two and five.
At the end of 2000 there were 937,000 pre school places available 264,000 in day nurseries, 353,000
in playgroups and other settings and 320,000 with childminders.
The government has promised to improve the quality of education available for this age group and to

But some parents have complained that reducing class sizes has worsened the problem of trying to get
places for their children in popular, over subscribed schools.
Test targets
The government has also set targets for levels of literary and numeracy, on the grounds that a child
who does not learn to read well and handle numbers early on runs the risk of falling further behind in
all subjects.
So, in England, by 2002: On average 80% of 11 year olds should be reaching the standard expected
for their age in English and 75% in maths.
In 2000, the equivalent figures were 75% (English) and 72% (maths).
There are also wide variations between local education authorities across England.
Since September 1998, all primary schools in England have been strongly recommended it is not
mandatory to devote at least an hour each day to literacy, with a similar daily numeracy session from
September 1999.
Secondary schools
In England, children must continue in full time education until they are 16 though now a majority stay
on after that.
The modernisation of the comprehensive system has been one of the key themes of the government s
campaign to raise standards in education.
In state sector secondary schools there has been increasing diversification, with the emergence of
beacon schools , specialist schools and the setting

Life in Colonial America Essay
The Puritans that arrived in America from 1630 to 1649 prompted by religious persecution made a
commitment to the covenant with God, whom had ordered the puritans to fly into the wilderness ,
(Reich, 2011, p. 72). This covenant was to bind all residents tightly together both religiously and
socially. Centered on a common pasture, a village could consist of a meetinghouse, land and multiple
family homes that support the whole group or a city on the hill (Brinkley, 2010, p. 76), (Reich, 2011,

Middle Ages Feudalism Essay
There have been many different types of government systems throughout the history of mankind, but
there was one especially important system in the middle ages. During the middle ages, the system of
feudalism was very helpful and turned Europe into a better place. Like all systems, feudalism had a
structure and this was called manorialism and in manorialism there were manors. In these manors
were different roles that all were important to feudalism, but the role of a farmer was probably the
most important to feudalism. Feudalism had a big effect on the people in the Middle Ages and the role
of farmers played a key part in this system being important.

Religion and the church had a say in this chain. In that time there were places that with the church
were leaving behind their orthodox beliefs and values and going in the new direction of belief which
included the chain of being (Melani). The Great Chain of Being involved everything in the world. The
concept of the Great Chain of Being was that everything in the universe had a certain place in a certain
and specific order and this was shown as a chain which was vertically extended. There were different
levels to the chain. At the bottom of the chain were varies inanimate objects which includes metal,
stones and fire, water, air, and earth, which are known as the four elements. Above the inanimate
objects, were classes of vegetative. This included trees, flowers and other types of plants. Above these
vegetatives were animals, than humans, and then angels. At the very top of the chain was God. Among
each of these different levels and large groups were hierarchies. For example among the metals, gold
was the nobility and stood highest meanwhile, lead had less sprit and more matter, so it was lower.
Various species of plants, animals, angels, and humans were ranked in a similar way in their own
segments (Melani). The Great Chain of Being was an important belief of the people in the middle

The Car Rider Community
Motorcyclists notice the road and the world differently than those not a part of the motorcycle society.
All of us have a universal role in mind of getting from point A to point B but in an enjoyable, quick,

This is not the case for someone who rides a motorcycle, as they will stop for anyone on the side of

splashing in all places, on the road, on the bike, including the rear tire making it extremely interesting
veering off the side of the highway to find a spot to pull over to park the bike until it could be towed.
While sitting there for roughly three hours I had numerous riders pull off the road to see what my
situation was and if they could assist in any way. Of course my bike was not going to go anywhere
because it could not hold any oil anymore, but they all offered to give me a ride to a dealer to get a

The Effects Of Ddt On The Environment
The purpose of the project is to determine whether or not a rise in Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene
(DDE) concentrations over time will correlate to a decrease in Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane
(DDT) concentrations. The motivation for the project was to see if the use of DDT and DDE has any
negative affects on the environment, and if so how bad is the affects? This topic was chosen because
DDT use was a major environmental issue and is still considered a problem today. It s important to
recognize the long lasting affects that pesticides have on an ecosystem.
The pesticide DDT was first utilized in 1939 when a Swiss chemist, Paul Hermann Muller revealed
the effectiveness of the 1st modern synthetic insecticide. In 1945, farmers gained access to DDT to use
as an agricultural insecticide; it was also widely used in homes and institutions for insect control.
Years later in 1969, DDTs safety concern grew. Following an investigation conducted by John F.
Kennedy s team of scientists, it was recommended that persistent toxic pesticides , including DDT,
become phased out. In 1971, the U.S. District Court of Appeals ordered the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), to ban DDT; in 1972 3 DDT the ban became effective.
As of today, even though DDT has been banned for 20+ years, DDT/DDE can still be found in the
environment. DDT/DDE residue is a major problem, especially because DDT/DDE have the same
toxicity but DDE is more harmful to the environment because organisms have

authenticity in hip hop is that it has to do with being associated to the street or the urban ghetto. The
core of Hip Hop cultural activity , a site of originality, culture, perception, and cognizance (Alim

individuals to be true to their roots, and not to front or make believe something they are not (Rickford

and artistic strength and most of its well known rap artists, come primarily from urban African
American communities (Blake 1993). In 1999, it was dubbed the most important musical genre in
America by the New York Times (Strauss 1999: 28), and has debatably been one of the foremost youth
cultures in the United States since the early 1990s. Despite the multi ethnic nature of the founding
community of hip hop, young African American working class, urban males emerged as the art s
central representatives. However, the centrality of African Americans in articulations of authentic, hip

Economics Of Banking Chapter Summary

Capital Regulation and The Basel Accords 1. Introduction: why capital regulation? 2. Effects of capital
regulation 2.2. A model where banks have equity in excess of regulatory demand. There is some
empirical evidence that banks choose a composition of funding where the share of equity is larger than
what is demanded by regulators. Below we consider a simple model of largely competitive financial
markets, due to Allen, Carletti and Marquez (2011), where this is the case. We consider a one period
economy with firms having access to a risky investment and in need of financing, and banks that lend
to the investors and monitor them. An investment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If this is a result of market forces, it must be a market where all bargaining power is left with the
borrowers, none with the banks. Therefore, it may be questioned whether the result can be seen as a
decision by banks to hold more than the minimal capital required. If instead we introduce a regulator,
determining k so as to maximize a social welfare function defined as we get that rL ≥ 2 − k, and
inserting this into (1) we get that k ≥ 1 1 B + Π = q(y − rL ) + q(rL − (1 − k)rD ) − krE − q2 = q(y − (1

counter to intuition, we look at a simple model proposed by Hakenes and Schnabel (2010). It is in

Essay on An Annotation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The City in...
An Annotation of Edgar Allan Poe s The City in the Sea
Edgar Allan Poe had his own unique view on what poetry should be. A lecture he wrote, The Poetic
Principle, covers his viewpoints and sheds light on many of his poems. We will use it to examine The
City in the Sea. First, Poe felt that the goal of all poetry should be Beauty. What is poetry? It is not the
mere oral or written repetition of forms, and sounds and colors and odors, and sentiments. No,
whoever just repeats his experiences to the world in the form of song or written verse, no matter how
enthusiastically he is doing it, is not attaining beauty. Even if he describes the most beautiful thing, or
sings about it, this is not poetry. Poe believes that there is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The soul catches a glimpse of the Beauty it is looking for in poetry.
Yet, Beauty for Poe would probably be a different beauty for the rest of us. Beauty for Poe often
concentrates on death, or has a melancholy theme. While some would think that melancholy would be
depressing, it elevates and thrills the soul for Poe. Sadness for Poe is a part of Beauty. In the Poetic
Principle, Poe examines other poet s works, displaying the poetical characteristics of the works. In
these works, such as Bryant s June Poe describes that the melancholy is essential to Beauty. In Bryant
s cheerful description of the grave an intense melancholy is created, and that melancholy we find
thrilling us to the soul while there is the truest poetic elevation in the thrill. The impression left is one
of a pleasurable sadness. And...let me remind you that this certain taint of sadness is inseparably
connected with all the higher manifestations of true Beauty. Therefore, Poe felt that elevation of the
soul, Beauty, and sadness were all very closely related, and dependant on one another.
Through poetry, one can catch a glimpse of this divine, eternal Beauty. The soul is in effect lifted up
into heaven

Reasons For Choosing Dw Sports
My reason for choosing DW Sports is due to that fact that it is an award winning Health club and
Retail business across the whole of the UK Northern Ireland. DW Sports also offers a variety of high
class products and they are also in conjunction with top brands like Adidas, Nike, Asics, New Balance,
Under Armour, Canterbury and many more. DW Sports is serious about becoming the UK s number 1
go to retailer for online sporting goods.
My reason for selecting JD Sports is due to the fact that JD Sport has long been established as the
leading UK specialised multiple retailer of fashionable branded and own brand sports and casual wear.
The group now has over 400 stores and is continuing to grow. Therefore I feel like both websites
would be good to evaluate and in return get ideas of ways to make my website a success when
creating it.
I will start off by evaluating my first company website which is DW Sports. Firstly I am going to talk
about the colour scheme DW Sports have used. The overall colour scheme of the website is red, white
and black and these are the colours which are present within the company logo. I personally feel like
this was intentional to make their website and their products easily identifiable as their own. I feel like
the black background was a good idea as the red compliments it and the writing is white and quite
large therefore it stands out and it is clear to read.
The overall layout of the whole website I feel is simple while professional looking.

How Did John Deere Make The Cast-Iron Plows
The first real practicable plow was invented by Charles Newbold, and his cast iron version of the plow
was patented in 1797. It was disliked by many farmers in the area because they believed it allowed the
weeds to flourish. As other inventors built new ideas of the plows, these farmers got rid of their former
views and began using the plow. The cast iron plows were good for the light, sandy soils of the East
Coast, but they were very sluggish in the thick soil of Illinois ( Just ). John Deere introduced a tool of
agriculture, the self scouring plow, that would become a booming manufacturing business for many
years to come. John Deere was born in Vermont in 1804 to William and Sarah Deere. His father had

Character Analysis Of Dorian Gray And The Picture Of...
Dorian Gray from The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the player from Doki Doki Literature Club are both
the protagonist of their stories and share a similar personality trait The Two Face. The Two Face is a
character that expresses two different sides to their personality one that they keep hidden and the one
that they show to others. Dorian s Two Face personality is the split of his physical body, which does
not age and allows Dorian to do what he wants in his society, and his painting, which changes form to
reflect Dorian s sinful acts; meanwhile the Player s Two Face personality share the same body, that of
the character who is written to forget the strange or unnerving events that happens within the game,
and the person playing the game, who will most likely remember the events for a long time. Both
Dorian and the player get what they want without much refusal from the other character. For instance,
in The Picture of Dorian Gray, Basil, when wanting to paint Dorian s picture without Lord Henry
staying in the room, Dorian begs Basil to let Lord Henry stay, to which Basil agrees, adding Dorian s
whims are laws to everybody, except himself (Wilde, 19). This hints at the early whims of Basil giving
in to and seeing the good side of Dorian, but it is more of Dorian wanting Lord Henry to stay with him
to influence him of his ideology of only liking things for the beauty, not the substance, since Lord
Henry gave him a bit of advice earlier in the confrontation of the three men;

How Elasticity Is Important For Economics And It Is A...
Elasticity is one of the most important theories in economics and it is a measure of responsiveness.
There are for the most part two sorts of elasticity, the flexibility of interest which incorporates value

versatility of supply the extent to which an interest or supply bend responds to an adjustment in cost is

Value elasticity assumes a vital part in the lives of customers. The value flexibility of interest is the

no need of a government. However, as time passed, the need for the benefits of civility became
necessary. It is at this point that people agree to leave the state of nature, and thereby give up their
absolute freedom. Locke focuses mainly on the lack of any natural moral authority of one person over

I am always playing when there is no staffs on or at least one and he will probably be facing alot of
problems because there will be no other staffs member online to help him and it will be very hard for
him because different players has different behaviour, if i were to get accepted, i will always be on and
could even help him or any other staff out to solve more issues that occur at that time and we can
watch the server fully because there is only at least 50 players on whenever i am on. This would
benefit the server due to the point that there is a lot of issues going on at different times and they have
to be dealt with quickly. Another reason of why I want to become a staff member is, because
becoming a staff can give more experience of being a staff also learning about teamwork working with
other staffs memeber to solve things or deal with players. I can also apply this knowledge of dealing

The Segregation Of African American Culture
I feel for the most part the characteristics in this united or consistent with my experience in the African
American culture. Slavery did set us back some years, but I have to say it has made us stronger. Most
of us had to face great obstacles to get in a good place, but no matter what we keep making it through
the adversity. After slavery, we as a culture had to make it through the jim crow laws. This sparked the
civil right movement that gave blacks a voice to speak out against the injustice that had been quietly
dealt with for years. In most of these different processes blacks had to face a criminal justice system
that never seemed to be on their side. Blacks had to literally practice before the went up to testify in
court in the justice system because of the very rigid injustice presented in courts. Blacks did earn their
right to vote in the justice system, and they did earn their freedom in the justice system, but the justice
system was geared for whites and not blacks, but through actual quoting the actual law, blacks was
able to fight for their freedom. The actual law did protect its people. but it is what people inject into
laws the are discriminating. Later, came the muslim movement that made blacks realise that they
control their own destiny. African Americans has even came up as for in the middle class, but the
problem is that it is a big gap between the low class and the middle. Most Blacks feel they cannot trust
the police, and I believe it is from the past.

African Americans Freedom Summer Essay
Freedom Summer The 1960s was a very hostile time for African Americans, especially in one
particular state. In Mississippi, only 7% of the African American population was registered to vote,
while other southern states had about 50% 60% of the black community participating in elections.
Though preventing someone from voting based on their skin color was unconstitutional, many towns
in Mississippi made it almost impossible for anyone of color to enter the voting booth. Many efforts to
try to encourage voting in African Americans failed due to the fear of what would happen after the
attempt. The possible consequences for those who pursued in the right to vote was having their name
publicized in local newspapers, losing their job, or facing the threat of violence against ... Show more

African Americans were taught to be second class citizens compared to white people, bowing to white
men and having to be respectful to all the unlawful rules of segregation. The Klu Klux Klan was never
causing the mayhem in Mississippi; an organization called the Citizens Council was the group
generating the strife against the black community. The Citizens Council was running the state because
it involved many political leaders, those in charge of voting registration, the police force, and mass
amounts of citizens. Efforts were made by bold African Americans to increase the number of black
voters in Mississippi, but people were too afraid to challenge the white community and those that did
try to register to vote were simply denied. Many times, the poor black community did not receive food
during the wintertime as a punishment for defying the white man by trying to register to vote; this was
the last straw. In the summer of 1964, the campaign called Freedom Summer, or also known as the
Mississippi Summer Project, was launched in order to bring awareness to the hateful and backwards
setting of

  • 2. Sped Student Reflective Report A trend that surprised me was the students that are a lower academic level were more effective with tools. For example Lan a student, I have had for 3 years is a SPED student that wants to be a mechanic. I have a good relationship with Lan, however, during class, he was defiant, often refused to work, and was a distraction. Yet he mastered using the compass in two attempts. I ask him to help others use the tool to increase his confidence. This also allowed others to see him as a valuable member of our class. I have observed Lan engaged more since and telling others to get to work . He also began to join group work and help refocused other when off task, saying come on let s get to work . These are things he would not do before this unit. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, Bob told me he was having trouble at home. • 3. Socialization Of Homeschool Parents have the right to choose the path for their child education. They should take the time to consider the long term effect it could have on their child. Home schooled children could be missing out on valuable lessons in life and the opportunity to participate in school activities and sporting events. Socialization plays an important part of a child s growth and understanding of the real world. Children must learn to respect people in authority outside of the home setting. Just anyone can not teach education; there should be some guidelines for homeschool just as there are for public schools. There are many memories made from public or private school settings. As one smart person once stated, If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers. (Howe). Children and parents need separation periods to develop and understand different people s perceptive. Socialization is an important development tool. Every interaction your child has helped him learn language skills, ways to cope with emotions and how to work within social norms. Once your child is in school, teachers and peers start to be a major part of socialization, which impacts development by helping your child feel competent. During early school years, a teacher provides structure and discipline in a child s day. Homeschool children may not have a structured schedule due to what may be going on at home. Maybe due to a sibling or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

University Health Systems is the leading trauma center for South Texas.. The medical benefits that are offered can only be used within the organization and the family medical offices. The University Health Systems is a large organization that is part of the medical school; as well it is the County Hospital where all the inmates go for treatment. They are expecting every employee to use or go though the county clinics to seek treatment, which is a challenge in itself as the clinics, are so busy on any given day or night. There are many reasons to rethink the compensation and benefits that this organization offers employees. They do offer a large PTO amount each payday; however that is used for everything such as, sick leave, holiday pay, and vacations. If one of the departments is closed for the holiday then you are forced to take PTO even if you do not want to. During the first year of employment, full time staff accrues 28 days at the rate of 8.62 hours every two weeks. The accrual rate increases with each year of full time service, up to a rate of 38 days per year (University Health Systems, 2015). Another benefit that is offered is a 457 account in which the company will match 25 cents on the dollar. That is not a very good retirement plan. When looking at the organization as a whole, there must be some way that the compensation benefits can be re evaluated and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An example of unilateral can be seen in the case Carlill v. Carbolic Smoke Ball Co Ltd. Frederick Roe who is the defendant and the proprietor of The Carbolic Smoke Ball , placed an advertisement and promised to pay $100 to anyone who used the Carbolic Smoke Ball for two weeks. Mrs. Louise Carlill did both and sued to recover her $100, as was promised by Frederick Roe. Carlill stated that some arguments on the advertisement were not accurately reported. It was also seen that Carlill had not used the smoke ball correctly or even get influenza which was also one of the requirements in order to receive the $100. At the court, Carbolic Smoke Ball Co brought up many legal issues in regards to contract law. One of the claims was that the advertisement was an open door to treat and that it was too popular in order for the advertisement to be an offer. Furthermore, in a bilateral contract the acceptance of the offer needs to be communicated and ad seen Carlill never did that. The court rejected most of these arguments and continued that there was a contract. Moreover, communication is not necessary since this case has to do with a unilateral contract. The only resources that are readily available, are the texts written by people of the times. But which helps better the understanding of the society and political structures: historical or literary works? The first century Romans are a great example of this. The literary works of the first century Romans, help further the knowledge about the ancient civilization. While the historical works do show a lot of the facts from the era, the literary works possess more information about the people s lives in that time. The political aspects of the Romans were very advanced. The government system they had set up, was better than any of the other civilizations of the time. (Virgil, Aeneid) Under the rule of Augustus, the Romans were at some of the strongest times of the empire s existence. The empire in this time conquered most of the known world. They were not a force to be taken lightly. Virgil connected the political aspects of his time to the Greek gods quite often. He would reference the Roman empire as being strong and mighty much like the gods. (Virgil, Aeneid) He also described the empire as always in a state of tranquility, order, and emotional stability. The scope of my research will fall between the years of 1922 1932, the start of Hitler s attempt to run for office. A variety of primary and secondary sources will be used to answer the question. The bitterness caused upon the change of government systems in Germany will be analyzed, along with his childhood that all primarily drove Hitler to run for power. Then, the harsh effects World War I had on Germany along with the Great Depression that followed as a result will also be looked at. Finally, a conclusion will be reached. ... On the other hand, if this were to have existed in a dictatorship, one would merely get used to how something went because that was how life would be from now on if there was a dictator present. With all the mess and distress already present, the body of laws present in a democracy is much slower to be established, while it usually took much less time with a dictator. Rather than one person having to agree on a law or come up with one, a democracy requires the whole body instead to ratify or accept it. This is due to the fact that your own personal needs must be given up in a dictatorship, while they are respected and valued on the other hand in a democracy. Therefore, seeing from all these changes, the alteration in government that the German government faced must have produced overwhelming challenges for Germany as a whole. They must completely abandon the norm for them and accustom themselves once again to a new way of life. Not only will these bring upon conflicts within the human population, but in all aspects including political, social, and economic qualities. In specificity to all these problems, it was many problems that accumulated and grew through time that presented a chance for Hitler to rise to power. The character of Matthew Harrison Brady is based on the historical figure of William Jennings Bryan. In the play Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. The deal in Iran was a trade to help negotiate the retrieval of American hostages located in Lebanon. During this period of time, President Reagan approved the operation that involved the selling of missiles to Iran during an arms embargo (Hunter, 2012). They couldn t use their normal ground attack tactics; they had to figure out how to win from above. Unlike in the European front they couldn t move through and allied country to forge a ground attack against their enemy. They needed to find a way to hit Japan from the air with the added difficulty of the mainland being across an ocean from the target. Before any attack could be launched the U.S. needed supplies in the form of long range bombers. These bombers were extremely important in the Pacific Theater, without them the U.S. wouldn t have beaten Japan. After the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 it took the United States until April of 1942 to retaliate. That was done through the Doolittle Raid. A group of 16 B 25 launched from the USS Hornet to conduct the first bombing on Japanese soil. Despite not having very much of a military significance the raid of Tokyo was a great boost to the moral of military and the public of the United States. It showed both Japan and the U.S. that Japan wasn t out of reach and was no longer isolated in the Pacific. After the 1942 campaign it wasn t until 1944 when the U.S. launched another bombing attack on Japan. At the beginning the War in the Pacific had a slow start, much of that had to do with the preparation it took to attack the enemy in a new style of warfare. The Legal Protections For Disabled People Disability in America Legal protections for disabled people in America are essential because disabled people face overwhelming discrimination, and the legislation helps provides equality in an unfair world. Imagine driving home late at night, falling asleep behind the wheel, and swerving into oncoming traffic. When you wake up in the hospital, you can t use your legs. You might not be disabled today, but what about tomorrow? Some people are born with a disability, and some people become disabled. Some disability rights activists use the term temporarily abled to describe how there isn t a line set in stone between us and them . Disabled people face discrimination because they are dehumanized and seen as lesser than abled people. As a result, politically correct terms used to describe disabled people change frequently, an example of the euphemism treadmill . Ableism is when disabled people are seen as broken and able people are seen as superior, which results in words used to describe disability becoming insults. When a child calls someone stupid, or retarded, or dumb, or an idiot, or lame, or moronic, they aren t thinking about how the words they are using oppress disabled people by turning who they are into an insult. Our society raises children to believe that some people are better than others, an example of the entrenched discrimination disabled people face. The motivation for the project was to see if the use of DDT and DDE has any negative affects on the environment, and if so how bad is the affects? This topic was chosen because DDT use was a major environmental issue and is still considered a problem today. It s important to recognize the long lasting affects that pesticides have on an ecosystem. The pesticide DDT was first utilized in 1939 when a Swiss chemist, Paul Hermann Muller revealed the effectiveness of the 1st modern synthetic insecticide. In 1945, farmers gained access to DDT to use as an agricultural insecticide; it was also widely used in homes and institutions for insect control. Years later in 1969, DDTs safety concern grew. A lecture he wrote, The Poetic Principle, covers his viewpoints and sheds light on many of his poems. We will use it to examine The City in the Sea. First, Poe felt that the goal of all poetry should be Beauty. What is poetry? It is not the mere oral or written repetition of forms, and sounds and colors and odors, and sentiments. Therefore I feel like both websites would be good to evaluate and in return get ideas of ways to make my website a success when creating it. I will start off by evaluating my first company website which is DW Sports. Firstly I am going to talk about the colour scheme DW Sports have used. The overall colour scheme of the website is red, white and black and these are the colours which are present within the company logo. I personally feel like this was intentional to make their website and their products easily identifiable as their own. I feel like the black background was a good idea as the red compliments it and the writing is white and quite large therefore it stands out and it is clear to read. The overall layout of the whole website I feel is simple while professional looking. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. How Did John Deere Make The Cast-Iron Plows The first real practicable plow was invented by Charles Newbold, and his cast iron version of the plow was patented in 1797. It was disliked by many farmers in the area because they believed it allowed the weeds to flourish. As other inventors built new ideas of the plows, these farmers got rid of their former views and began using the plow. The cast iron plows were good for the light, sandy soils of the East Coast, but they were very sluggish in the thick soil of Illinois ( Just ). John Deere introduced a tool of agriculture, the self scouring plow, that would become a booming manufacturing business for many years to come. • 33. Character Analysis Of Dorian Gray And The Picture Of... Dorian Gray from The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the player from Doki Doki Literature Club are both the protagonist of their stories and share a similar personality trait The Two Face. The Two Face is a character that expresses two different sides to their personality one that they keep hidden and the one that they show to others. Dorian s Two Face personality is the split of his physical body, which does not age and allows Dorian to do what he wants in his society, and his painting, which changes form to reflect Dorian s sinful acts; meanwhile the Player s Two Face personality share the same body, that of the character who is written to forget the strange or unnerving events that happens within the game, and the person playing the game, who will most likely remember the events for a long time. Both Dorian and the player get what they want without much refusal from the other character. For instance, in The Picture of Dorian Gray, Basil, when wanting to paint Dorian s picture without Lord Henry staying in the room, Dorian begs Basil to let Lord Henry stay, to which Basil agrees, adding Dorian s whims are laws to everybody, except himself (Wilde, 19). This hints at the early whims of Basil giving in to and seeing the good side of Dorian, but it is more of Dorian wanting Lord Henry to stay with him to influence him of his ideology of only liking things for the beauty, not the substance, since Lord Henry gave him a bit of advice earlier in the confrontation of the three men; ... I visited McDonald s first just after what could be considered the dinner rush. When walking into the store the first thing I noticed was the floor was fairly dirty, especially near the trash receptacles. There were clearly visible items of food that had fallen off of people s trays as they attempted to clear their trays off. I got into the line to order and noticed that there were three people ahead of me. There was only one McDonald s employee working the registers while I saw another standing by on their cell phone. I believe the second employee not working the registers was a manager. She was unaware of the line that had grown and when she looked up she signed into a register to help. I had gone into the store with the intention of only ordering a sweet tea, but if I were to have been offered an item I would buy it. I gave my order to the manager of only a sweet tea and she gave me my total. It was interesting to see that the manager did not try to upsell my order as I was only getting a $1 drink. As the drinks were a self service, I went to go get the sweet tea and found they were out of sweet tea. I informed the manager and she said they would get another one out. John Locke believes there is a natural law, a moral standard that is intrinsic in the origin of human nature. Humans, being basically good by nature, are born equal and free, with out the ties of government. Because humans were in essence good, there was no need of a government. However, as time passed, the need for the benefits of civility became necessary. It is at this point that people agree to leave the state of nature, and thereby give up their absolute freedom. Slavery did set us back some years, but I have to say it has made us stronger. Most of us had to face great obstacles to get in a good place, but no matter what we keep making it through the adversity. After slavery, we as a culture had to make it through the jim crow laws. This sparked the civil right movement that gave blacks a voice to speak out against the injustice that had been quietly dealt with for years. In most of these different processes blacks had to face a criminal justice system that never seemed to be on their side. Blacks had to literally practice before the went up to testify in court in the justice system because of the very rigid injustice presented in courts. Blacks did earn their right to vote in the justice system, and they did earn their freedom in the justice system, but the justice system was geared for whites and not blacks, but through actual quoting the actual law, blacks was able to fight for their freedom. The actual law did protect its people. but it is what people inject into laws the are discriminating. Later, came the muslim movement that made blacks realise that they control their own destiny.
