5. UGANDA’S HEALTH SECTOR STRATEGIC PLAN
• The Ministry of Health (MoH) with technical support from the National Planning
Authority developed the Ministry of Health Strategic Plan 2020/21 – 2024/25.
• The process was spearheaded by a Core Team from the MoH, Department of
Planning, Financing and Policy Department as a major driver of Uganda’s health
sector for the next five years.
• Other key actors in the development and review process of the Plan include the
Health Policy Advisory Committee members and Technical Working Groups with
representation from the Development Partners, Medical Bureaus, Civil Society
Organizations, Private Sector and other MDAs.
