Lawrence Vs Texas Legal Individualism
Legal Individualism is a legal interpretation that emphasizes liberty, self reliance and independence.
Legal individualism means everyone is equal based on law system there is no external standard
that we can convincingly propose and maintain the separation of equality and inequality and also
every individual becomes the bearers of legitimate rights. The legal individualismexpresses
American culture because of in an individualistic society, the law preserves the idea that everyone
can freely choose to interact with others in their own way whether for economic, artistic, religious
or romantic purposes. Not everyone s choice will be fine. Not an individual is unreliable. Not that
they can not abuse their freedom. All this is granted. But no one is to make others the reason for
their master, but other people may be smart. Both the case Lawrence v. Texas
, The Republic of
Choices and Bellah s habits of heart mention that legal individualism is deeply in the America
society nowadays. The case of Lawrence v. Texas involves two adults who fully and mutually
agree to engage in sexual acts that are common to homosexual lifestyles. The state can not belittle
their own survival or control their own destiny by proclaiming private sex as criminal acts. Many
commentators interpret opinion as a liberal ethical approach that fundamentally broadens privacy
and freedom of constitutional rights to cover all no victim crimes. Judge Scalia responded to the
view that the exclusion of the

Electrical Submersible Pump
Electrical Submersible Pump Analysis and Design

Electrical Submersible Pump Analysis and Design
Case Services, Inc.
Abstract
Case Services software provides production optimization for a variety of different methods of
artificial lift. This paper discusses the dominant factors in electrical centrifugal submersible pump
design and monitoring. Emphasis is placed on three areas: Well inflow performance behavior. Fluid
Pressure Volume Temperature and phase behavior. Pump equipment performance specifications.
An examination of fluid dynamics within a centrifugal pump provides appreciation for the need to
analyze the pump one stage at a time. The importance of individual pump testing is also identified.
This paper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, it is crucial to analyze pump performance based on a known good condition. Experience
has shown that each serialized pump demonstrates unique performance data. Therefore, a factory
pump test should be obtained before the pump is installed in a well. The data from this test can be
used throughout the equipment life for accurate performance analysis. This discussion is limited to
conventional applications of centrifugal pumps specifically excluding: Pumps installed below the
producing formation. Downhole gas separation. Variable frequency drive considerations.
Focus is placed upon the pump itself. The downhole motor is discussed only in passing. Steady
state operation (no pump cycling) is also assumed.

The Basics
This section describes the formulas that are the basis for the csSubmersible suite s calculations.
When employing any pumping method, optimum artificial lift is achieved only when the pump is
closely matched to the well s ability to produce fluids. This is especially true with centrifugal
pumping. Before the pump design process can even begin, an accurate model of the well s inflow
performance must be developed.

E.E. Cummings and His Wondrous Works
Edward Estlin Cummings was born on October 14, 1894 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cummings
began writing his poems as early as ten years old. His unique ideas and various poetic devices that
were included in his poetry induced him to be one of the most remembered poets of modern day
time. E.E. Cummings was an intriguing poet that is known for many poetic ideas. Among them,
Cummings was known for his ability to create meaning using structure and his avant garde
approach towards language. In his work, Cummings experimented radically with form, punctuation,
spelling and syntax, which caused him to abandon traditional techniques and structures to create a
new, highly distinctive mean of poetic expression. By introducing this new innovative writing style,
Cummings has influenced thousands of poets to carry on with his expression, which is what he had
hoped for.
The wide range of writing style that Cummings included while composing his poems gave him the
title of originality. While some of his poetryis free verse (with no concern for rhyme or meter),
many have a recognizable sonnet structure of 14 lines, with an intricate rhyme scheme. E.E.
Cummings poem, Fame Speaks, is an example of one of his more formal poems. The rhyme
scheme is an example of a petrarchan sonnet. The sonnet Fame Speaks talks about how E.E.
Cummings wants to be remembered as a great poet and not forgotten in the future. On the other
hand, a number of his poems feature a typographically cheerful style,

Response To The Jesus I Never Knew By Philip Yancey
Response to The Jesus I Never Knew the Jesus I Never Knew, by Philip Yancey, was a lot more
interesting than I was expecting. When I first read the plot, or summary, on the back of the book
itself, I begin to wonder what this book what relate to me in what way. As I continued to dig deeper
in the marvelous writingof Philip Yancey, I instantly began to relate to his occurrences, and
remembering of Jesusas a young child. Just as I begin to read the first chapter, I noticed Yancey
referred to Jesus as the nurturer in his Christian walk. As children we always have an imagination
of what Jesus is and ours were very similar. He is the man we run to when there is no one there to
comfort us in our valleys. As Yancey continues, he begins... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But his appearance is not what made people want to follow Him, and listen to what Jesus had to
say, because what he said, need to be heard by the people on this earth.
Yancey brings Sermon on the Mount, in to perspective and breaks down what we think is
something to look up to in our lives, but then talks as if, this day in time, the things we should be
doing as Christians is somehow hard to do. To summarize, how to be a Christian. How do we
compare our lives to the high expectations. When sometimes we cannot go a day without sin. I
don t think Yancey was bashing the sermon itself, but explaining that sometimes being a Christian
is hard, and our expectations are high. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus in everything we do in life,
we will be the best we can be.
Something we all love about Jesus was his ability to preform miracles on human beings just like
us. Yancey tries to explain why Jesus was on this earth and did the things He did while he was
here. Yancey begins to describe some of the miracles Jesus did like water to wine for example.
Then Yancey questions why some of these miracles were preformed and why some were not.
This was hard for me to understand because I have never thought about this before. Why did some
people receive the blessing of healing and others did not? Honestly, I begin to come up with my
own thoughts and begin to think I cannot compare people that received and people who did not.

Gay Fertility Options
Dallas IVF offers gay fertility options to help members of the LGBT community become parents
When gay patients come to Dallas IVF, they often ask our fertility specialists if they have more
family building options than adoption. Our Dallas fertility center is always excited to tell patients
that we offer successful gay fertility options, including egg donation and surrogacy.
Egg donation is one of the popular gay fertility options at our Dallas fertility center

Some patients prefer to ask a friend or a family to be their egg donor, while others may opt to use
an anonymous egg donor.
After selecting the egg donor, one of our fertility specialists will perform intrauterine insemination,
IUI, on the egg donor if she will be carrying the pregnancy. If another woman, known as a
surrogate, will carry the pregnancy, then our fertility center will perform in vitro fertilization, IVF.
Surrogacy is another gay fertility option that is related to egg donation
When patients select egg donation as their family building tool, the fertility specialists at our Dallas
fertility center must also discuss surrogacy. After all, gay patients need a woman to carry the
pregnancy. Patients have two options for surrogacy.
In an arrangement called traditional surrogacy, the egg donor will also serve as the surrogate. The
surrogate will undergo IUI using the father s sperm.
In a situation known as gestational surrogacy, a woman other than egg donor will serve as the
surrogate. The donor eggs are fertilized with the father s sperm during IVF and the resulting
embryos are transferred to the surrogate s uterus of the

Christian Brothers Academy
I can surely say that my senior year would not be nearly as enjoyable without the GURU program.
The ability to facilitate an engaging discussion with not one but two groups of freshmen at
Christian Brothers Academy is something I look forward to every cycle. By discussing some
relatively controversial subject topics with these freshmen, I put myself in a role model position,
one to influence positive decision making in order for these kids to make their own transition into
AcademyMen, to really make the most out of their four years at CBA. I have learned a lot about
the ten freshmen that I oversee. I can say that I know each of them pretty well now. But finally, I
can say that I have also learned a lot about myself over this past semester... Show more content on

Also, it definitely affects my worldview with God and my Christian morality in the context of a
LaSallian school. We owe everything that we have become to God, and personally I owe a lot
to Christian Brothers Academy for making me the Academy Man that I am today. Moreover, I
see myself as a liaison between these freshmen and the CBA faculty, staff, and family in order
for them to eventually transform themselves in their lives while keeping God as a major focus.
By embracing my own self value through Christian morality, I must also encourage these
freshmen that they are valuable because of their relationship with God in this LaSallian school,
exemplifying the teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle. As an example, Peck States in The
Road Less Traveled, this feeling of being valuable is a cornerstone of self discipline because
when one considers oneself valuable one will take care of oneself in all ways that are necessary.
Self discipline is self caring (Peck 24). Self discipline is so important in my own life, and I look
to teach the freshmen the importance of it as well. My own relationship with God is one based on
self caring, the petitioning for forgiveness and the constant gratification that goes along with it.
When it comes down to it, we all have the free will to believe what we want to believe, however, it
is integral to these

People are watching the same movies, reading the same magazines, and dancing to the same

Systems Thinking. He uses a rainstorm as an example of how humans interrelated actions have
a diverse affect on each other, and how humans usually don t see those invisible links because it
takes years to take form. Because people don t usually see them for years and only focus on
snapshots, it arises the questions of why there problems never seem to get solved. According to
the author Peter Senge, Systems thinking is a conceptual framework, a body of knowledge and

Personnel mastery is an essential cornerstone of the learning organization; an organization

Thehomemog Case Analysis
The decline in circulation of traditional general interest print magazines and their migration to
the digital space has done a lot to fuel the misconception that Print is Dead. This trope has been
repeated so often that the public believes it applies to all print media a perception that could not
be more wrong. By virtue of its name, TheHomeMag is perceived to be a magazine and therefore
part of the decline and again the perception is wrong. TheHomeMag is a niche publication, and
with advertising being its predominant content it has far more in common with print catalogs. And
that s good news because print catalog circulation has resurged to the levels of its peak in 2007.

Women s Status Of Women
INTRODUCTION
Throughout history and civilization women seem to have been in a constant state of evolution
either towards a submissive role or a strong role but nonetheless, changing. This paper will discuss
women from the lower and middle ranks in history and their status in the various civilizations.
This paper argues that the status of lower and middle class women deteriorated over time and only
the Paleolithic period seemed to comprise of a gender neutral society.
THE STATUS OF WOMEN OVER TIME
In the Paleolithic society, women seemed to have an equal contributing hand towards the survival
of the community. Men traveled and hunted while women gathered fruits from areas within the
vicinity of their residence. Although hunted meat brought home by the men was important, the
vegetables and fruits gathered by the women were equally as important for survival especially when
men failed at their hunt. The interdependence of the sexes ensured that one sex is not dominant
over another. (Bentley and Ziegler, pg.10).
The Venus Figurines (named after the Roman goddess of love) of early homo sapiens were small
structures of women that depicted prominent sexual features focusing greatly on fertility and new
life. These figurines are believed to also play a role in rituals to increase fertility. (Bentley and
Ziegler, pg.14) This shows that women were always subjected to their physical appearance and the
fact that they were seen as baby carriers.
From the Neolithic era, women are

Private Prisons And Public Prisons
The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), which is essentially the Enron of the private
prison industry, has long touted private prisons as an alternative to government owned prisons.
Indeed, CCA has set forth three reasons justifying the creation of private prisons for federal inmates:
Cost Effectiveness. Private prisons are less expensive to operate and will save the federal
government millions of dollars.
Safety. Private prisons are effectively protect inmates safety.
Humane Treatment. Private prisons are modern facilities that provide humane treatment to inmates.
Studies have shown that private prisons achieve none of these goals, and the reason is simple:
private prisons operate under a fundamentally different regulatory structure that alters the choices
and motives of its participants. Indeed, unlike their federal counterparts, private prisons operate in a
market economy where maximizing profits is vital to sustainability and thus a driving factor in
corporate decision making. Under basic economic theory, when operational costs exceed current
and future estimates, corporations must identify ways in which to reduce such costs and therefore
increase profitability. This is precisely what happened in the private prison context. Corporations
such as CCA often underestimate the cost of operating private prisons in a manner that would
increase safety and treat inmates more humanely. As a result, operators of private prisons made the
deliberate choice

What Is Tarantino s Pulp Fiction
Tarantino s Pulp Fiction is a fusion of Alfred Hitchcock and Jean Luc Godard because he creates a
style different from conventional movies of the 1980s. Godard and Hitchcock are known for their
outlandish, but revolutionary plays on storytelling. Tarantino does not abide by any rules in his film.
The film has three different stories that are intertwined to create one film. Tarantino borrows this
technique from Hitchcock. Bates Motel displays the story of Marion dies in the first 40 minutes ,
Norman Bates, and Marion s sister and husband. Somehow, both filmmakers are able to make
things work that most filmmakers would fail at. The use of episodic like films is prevalent in

Neil Armstrong As A Hero
This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind. (Neil Armstrong). In the 1960s, the
race began between America and the Soviet Union to see who could be the first to launch humans
to the moon. Several years later, America achieved a goal that was believed unlikely and almost
impossible a few years earlier. During the 1960 s Neil Armstrongchanged the world and became an
American hero.
Neil Armstrong had a long journey before he got to take those first steps on the moon. As a
child, he moved with his family to several Ohio communities before they settled in Wapakoneta
when Neil was 13 years old ( Armstrong, Neil Alden ). Neil Armstrong s family moved a lot
around Ohio until they finally found a place to settle. Neil was only 13 years old. Moving could
have made it hard for Armstrong to make friends and he could have had a hard time dealing with
school. Also, according to www.notablebiographies.com, Neil Armstrong was the oldest of three
children. He had a sister named June and a brother named Dean. His parent s names were Stephen
and Viola Armstrong. His sister June, was four years younger than him. Later on, In 1947,
Armstrong entered Purdue University. He began studies in aeronautical engineering. But in 1949,
the United States Navy called him to active duty. Armstrong became a Navy pilot and was sent to
Korea in 1950, near the start of the Korean War.In 1952, Armstrong returned to Purdue. He earned
a bachelor s degree in aeronautical engineering there in 1955. Also in 1970, he earned a master s
degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Southern California ( Armstrong, Neil Alden ).
Before Neil Armstrong finished school, he was in the Navy, but cared enough about his education
to continue it 2 years later. He even returned to school 15 years later. This lead to him getting a
master s degree and a bachelor s degree. The beginning of Armstrong s life led to many different

The factors, issues, and occurrences that are found in a company s industry and competitive
environment should be considered the strongest of the external threats. However, the factors and
forces in a company s macro environment having the biggest strategy shaping impact typically
pertain to the company s immediate industry and competitive environment the actions of rivals
firms, buyer behavior, supplier related conditions, and so on (Thompson, et al., 2010, p. 57).
Environmental scanning is very important to the health and success of a business. This is
especially true of SRI . Since SRI is dealing a lot with the foreclosure and REO markets,
environmental scanning will be needed to keep the company abreast of constant and volatile
changes in this market. SRI will constantly need to use this process to be able to keep up with

Environmental scanning is the process of dealing with the measurement, projection and evaluation
of changes in the different environment variables (Oladele, 2006). Most of the organization[s]

POT1 TPP1 heterodimer and its functions
TPP1 is identified as a bridge protein in the shelterin where it binds with POT1 with the PBD,
and bind with TIN2 with its CTD CC22 domain. The interaction between TPP1 and other shelterin
protein is revealed using the Oxytricha Nova telomere end binding proteins (TEBP). In O. Nova,
TEBP has two heterodimers TEBP О± and TEBP ОІ that cap the ends of the chromosomes [13].
The TEBP О± is the homologue unit of the human POT1demostrates similar sequence to
mammalian POT1 protein [15]. The TEBP ОІ unit homologous to the mammalian TPP1 OBD as
indicated in the TPP1 structure section [16]. In fact, the solved structure of TEBP illustrations the

4a). This protein had the characteristics of two interactions and a 544 amino acid residue. To further
support the claim of the TPP1 interaction with POT1, TPP1 antibody was pulled down with flag
tagging POT1 (Fig. 4b). Hence, these data validate the claim of the POT1, and TPP1 form one
complex [17]. Figure 4 Large scale affinity purification with the flag tagged TIN2 and known
proteins were eluted with flag peptide . b) IP with flag POT1 and TPP1 (PTOP) antibodies. [17]
In order to appreciate the function of TPP1, POT1 s function must be understood. The main
function of POT1 is to recognize and bind ssDNA. Indeed, TPP1 PBD interacts with POT1.
Indeed, TPP1 is the responsible protein of recruiting the POT1to the ss telomeric DNA. In fact, data
presented suggest that the TPP1 PBD is the main reason of the POT1 recruitment and interaction to
the telomeric DNA [18]. The deletion of TPP1 interaction domain in the POT1, POT1 is not
recruited to the telomeric DNA. Similarly, knocking down the TPP1 results in inhabitation of the
POT1 recruitment. These data prove that TPP1 is responsible for the recruitment of the telomere.
Several studies made it clear is that TPP1 and POT1 play a very important role preventing the
DNA damage response and chromosomal fusion. For example, knocking down either TPP1 or
POT1 in a mouse ATM/ ATR DNA damage response is observed. Hence, it is

Furthermore, Connelly excels at comparing the legal system to Haller s own philosophies.
Much of the book revolves around the concept that the law is a machine, and that there are many
gray areas. Haller uses all of the technicalities of the law in order to provide for the best defense
of the client, and it is these technicalities or gray areas that is what makes the whole novel so
believable. An example of this is when his investigator, Raul Levin, gives Haller a video of
Roulet meeting the victim at the bar. Haller knows that he will have to turn it over to the
prosecution in accordance with the rule of discovery, but at the same time, he uses it to his
advantage because he didn t technically have to turn over anything until I was sure I planned to
use it in trial (105). In today s legal system, there are countless instances of cases winning on
technicalities or on very unspecific laws, so much that is clear to see how Haller s methods are
constantly replicated in the real world. 5.Haller is initially a very unlikeable character

Feminist Perspective On Pornography
Many people have argued that pornography is a form of artistic expression, protected by the First
Amendment of the Constitution, others feel there is a distinct line between art and porn
(Pornogrpahy). Pornography is made to provide sexual pleasure to anyone who hears, sees or reads
it, it involves erotic acts. Pornographycould be talking, acting, or anything that may sexually
stimulate someone. Pornography is also, the portrayal of sexual activities and it comes in the
form of magazines, movies, videos, and more. Pornography is often seen to overstep the bounds
of the First Amendment and misrepresent what is means by freedom of speech. Pornography isn
t something that everyone can agree on. For example, feminist are one group of people have a
variety of feelings and beliefs towards pornography. While feminist usually share the same way of
thinking this is one topic that causes a major division between them. Disagreeing to agree is a
common compromise that people face in life, but in the case of pornography feminist can not seem
to do so. Andrea Dworkinand Catharine A. Mackinnon(Feminist Perspectives), are just two of the
women that have stood up against pornography. There are a plethora of feminist see
pornography as a way to keep women oppressed and subjected to man. Almost as if porn is
taking women in a step backwards.Mackinnon believes porn is an act of sexual violence
(McElroy) and Dworkin sees it as sexist and a deliberate means of subordinating women to men
(Feminist Perspectives). Dworkin and Mackinnon collectively view pornography as not a form of
speech, but as an active discrimination and violence against women (Feminist Perspectives).
Popular pornography includes abusive scenes and language that is extremely derogatory towards
women. Through research it is also believed that due to the acts of violence and sexual abuse
depicted in pornography it is causing men to reenact and bring what they ve watched to life
(Purcell). Consequently, due to the voices of the anti porn feminist there has been many legal
actions taken against the porn industry. There has been several ordinances drawn up, a few were
done by Catharine A. Mackinnon. Mackinnon and Dworkin had a civil rights ordinance that

Analysis Of The Native American Folktales In The Snake...
Today we often read a book or Youtube a video to learn something new or to entertain ourselves
but during the fifteenth century, technology did not exist and paper was considered a luxury. The
Native Americans used to entertain themselves by passing around stories orally, called Indian
folktales. The Native American folktales have different themes that portray different life lessons.
The life lessons that will be covered in this essay will be having self discipline, knowing that every
good thing comes to an end, and with every mistake there is a consequence. In The SnakeBrothers,
the main theme is not listening to directions. one of the life lessons to be learned is to listen to
directions. The characters were four brothers all of whom were hunting for game in order to
survive. They happen to come across a buffalo who promised them it s meat but with the offer
came a direction. The older brothers disregarded the directions and only took the meat while the
youngest brother took on the buffalo s directions. This is proven in the story by, The youngest
brother went to the top of the hill and spread out the skin, skull, hooves, and tail just as the voice
had told them. The older brothers suffered a consequence for not listening to the buffalo s
directions, which happened to be them turning into snakes and not being able to return to their
village. The youngest brother however, found much success after listening to the buffalo s
directions. He was able to bring back the

The Importance Of Traditional Family Values
Traditional family values comprise a number of different values and beliefs held in high esteem
regarding family life. Chief among the values is an emphasis on a loving, lifelong marriage, with
the male as the breadwinner and the wife as the mother and homemaker. Traditionally, members
who follow these values oppose premarital sex, easy access to contraceptive information, and
abortions, as most of these in some way or another are viewed as sins. Prior to the 1970s,
traditional familyvalues didn t play a large role in American politics, and instead mainly
influenced family life. Beginning in the 1970s, however, this changed as these values became a
catchphrase and political platform of the American right. From Ronald Reagan to Pat Robertson,
Conservatives couldn t comment on the decline of the family enough. How, then, did these
values become such an integral part of of political life, as opposed to remaining private matters?
The answer lies in the 1960s. From the 1940s to the early 1960s, after both World War II and The
Great Depression, Americans were more eager than ever to establish families. Following
traditional family values, these couples set a trend for earlier marriages with a greater number of
kids than those of Europe during the same time period. Consequently, divorce rates dipped as many
families found stability, peace, and love within these marriages. The heterosexual man of the
relationship was typically the breadwinner, working during the day to provide

From the examiner s report: Many answers demonstrated a significant amount of sociological
knowledge, but failed to take note of the wording of the question, and therefore were unable to
apply the knowledge appropriately. For example, many students ignored the reference to today and
instead launched into a lengthy account of the nature of childhood in the Middle Ages, and
subsequently struggled to focus on the 6 of 8 question. Other students were able to discuss the way
in which childhood was socially constructed and the changing nature of childhood, without
explicitly discussing whether childhood today is being lost. More focused answers tended to use
Postman and Palmer to suggest that childhood was being lost, contrasting these with the views of
Opie and Pilcher that childhood remains distinct. Many made reference to the mass media without
necessarily tying it to the specifics of the question; similarly, others referred to the
commercialisation of childhood without linking this explicitly to the question. Many students
compared various cross cultural models of childhood, and in some cases contrasted these with the
experience of childhood in modern industrial societies. Relatively few students were able to
differentiate between stages of childhood, or address gender or class differences. Overall only a
minority of answers retained their focus on the issue of whether childhood is being lost in society
today. June 2014 Examine the reasons for

How Did Julie Andrews Impact The Music Community
Julie Andrews has left her mark on a myriad of awards, titles, roles, styles, and even beloved
characters we all know and love with her natural grace and elegance. She has also experienced
one of the most fruitful, illustrious careers of all time. But even more significantly, Andrews has
impacted the music community by bringing a new air of elegance to the stage, raising the bar
of vocal ability standards internationally, and expressing the beauty of music through her
impeccable, crystalline voice. Born on October 1st, 1935, to Barbara Ward Wells (a pianist) and
Edward Charles (Ted) Wells in Walton On Thames, Surrey, England. Barbara and Ted divorced
soon after the outbreak of World War II, and Barbara was remarried to Ted Andrews, who would
make an essential and insurmountable impact on young Andrew s life. Back when the now
seventy nine year old performer was only eight, her stepfather decided to get her singing lessons.
Her teacher Lillian Stiles Allen was hired promptly and began instructing young Andrews in
operatic techniques. No sooner did they start training did they discover Andrews possessed a
freakish four octave voice, and an exceptionally advanced vocal talent and crystalline tone quality
for an eight year old girl. Stiles Allen states Andrews possessed the rare gift of absolute pitch, and

Analysis Of The Book The Big Boat
The Big Boat Going to the LACMA art museum was a very good experience to see many
different types of artwork by different artists. In 1920 Robert Michel created a painting named
Ship , which it contained many visual elements such as cool and warm colors curvilinear
geometric figures. First of all, Michel shows the viewer a lot of curvilinear lines meaning a
consisting of, bounded by, or characterized by a curved line, or a along a curved line of a set of
coordinates determined by or determining a system of three orthogonal surfaces (definition from
the internet). Geometric meaning, a set of points or vertices lines connecting the points in a
closed chain, as well as the resulting interior points. Such shapes are called polygons and include
triangles, squares, and pentagons (definition from the internet). And irregular shapes meaning
polygon that does not have all sides equal and all angles equal. A polygon is regular only when
all angles are equal and all sides are equal, otherwise it is irregular (definition from the internet).
He also adds warm, cool and intensity colors to catch the viewer attention. The person analyzing
the painting really has to pay very close attention to Micheles art work. Michele tends to add a lot
of small detail to his art work mostly about life; such as the sea representing water, animals like
elephants, numbers, moving flags representing air, two humans in the house representing a family,
a clock representing time, rims, and boats both

Othello Movie Vs Play
To be honest, I have never read Shakespeare s work before. I also am not a big fan of Dramas or
love stories. Othello has all of this, but it does also have a very suspenseful and dark side, which
kept me interested. Shakespeare s Othello is story that takes place in the 1600 s and is centers
around four main characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army; his wife, Desdemona,
his lieutenant Cassio and his trusted ensign, Iago. I found Othello to be a great story, play and
movie because it encompasses all of the things we all experience in life such as: racism, love,
jealousy and betrayal. As I read Othello, I found that once I started reading, I didn t want to stop. I

He has a way of making you feel that you are really watching people from that time. I also seen a
lot of the passion as Iago in him. When I read the play, I feel Kenneth Branagh nailed Iago s
image that I read in the play. In the play, Iago has to be two faced all the time. He shows one side
of him to one person, and another side to another. In the film, Iago works very hard to keep up
his appearance with all the different characters. No character sees more than one side of him,
and his plots are kept to himself. I think the role of Iago was a tough one to play because of the
ability to make people truly believe how convening he was, but Branagh did a great job. I also
noticed that when Othello was speaking, his facial reactions would visibly change when
Othello looked the other way. It was incredible how quickly the change from an evil expression
to a loving and loyal expression was made. In one scene, Iago and Othello are hugging, and Iago
s face reflects contempt as soon as his face is beside Othello s face. This is another reason why I
thought the movie brought more of the emotions out in me. I could actually see the facial reactions
as well as eh facial reactions of my kids when they watched the movie with

with the help of the residents which also gave the film the authenticity of being in the hood . She
became sort of an urban anthropologist, because everything the viewer sees is as it really is. The
colors and textures used, change throughout the scene, but everything they used was taken directly
from the neighborhood that you find yourself in throughout the clip.
Cinematographers and art directors play a very important and creative role in film production.
They work closely with the director and give a film its unique visual look and identity. The art
director, David Lazan and cinematographer, Mauro Fiore, shot the film almost entirely in
sequence, following the clock from the crack of dawn to a very dark night of reckoning.
Compressing intense action and emotion into a brief time frame became one of their key
challenges. They had to make sure the film felt like it was one single day unfolding which became
the single biggest challenge during the production.
Explain how the artists utilize lighting in the scene. How does the lighting affect our emotional
understanding of certain characters? What sort of mood does the lighting evoke? How does
lighting impact the overall story the filmmaker is attempting to tell? Describe the setting, including
the time period, location, and culture in which the film takes place.

Liar s Poker Rhetorical Analysis
A key example of a strong rhetorical device was climax ordering. When speaking about the
success he achieved from his book Liar s Poker , Lewis claims, I had a career, a little fame, a
small fortune and a new life narrative. (Lewis 2). This is a perfect example of climax ordering,
because Lewis states all of these new components in his life from least significant to the greatest
piece to evoke a suspenseful theme for inspiration. A powerful example of a logical fallacy was
glittering generality, Lewis uses this item when he says, you are the lucky few. Lucky in your
parents, lucky in your country, lucky that a place like Princeton exists that can take in lucky people,

Wainwright Building
The relationship between form and function had always been the core of Sullivan s career. In his
point of view, anything, whether it is organic or inorganic, could be deemed as the representation of
its content and function, and every particular function has developed its own form. Sullivan explain
this idea by illustrating oak tree in his Kindergarten Charts, he wrote, generally speaking outer
appearances resemble inner purposes. For instances, the form, oak tree, resembles and expresses the
function or purpose, oak (Sullivan, Kindergarten chats). In here, form could be understood as
phenomenon of things, but not just the appearance. In his article, The Tall Office Building

But, actually, what Sullivan really cares about is the form. Otherwise, he would not have this much

architectural form, especially its ornament, but with a kind of ambivalence in his mind. On the one
hand, he believes that architecture could be great without any decoration or ornament. On the other
hand, thoughtful designed ornament is also indispensable to architecture. Finally, he gave the
answer, he thinks particular ornament should be applied on the particular kinds of architecture, just
like different trees have various types of leaves. So, architectural form is not influenced by the
extrinsic factor, but the growth of itself. Now it is understandable why Wainwright Building got
such a luxuriant ornament on its top. Under the eave, the surface between windows are extended,
and sophisticated spiraled leaves surrounds the circular windows. It is just the metaphor of the

High performance techniques for sparse linear algebra are important within many application

According to [4] solving sparse linear systems or more specifically computing
SpMV can be done using direct methods and iterative methods approaches.
Direct algorithms give better results and performance than iterative. The most public direct solver
is Gaussian elimination. Nevertheless, this concept becomes inefficient when used with large
linear systems due to memory limitations they have and they are not effective for large sparse

Alan Paton once said, There is only one way in which one can endure man s inhumanity to man and
that is to try, in one s own life, to exemplify man s inhumanity to man. By stating these words, Paton
means that the only way one can stop the mistreatment of humans is to completely abolish
inhumanity and strive for more humanity. Throughout the novels Tuesdays with Morrie and Night,
both inhumanity and humanity are displayed. Inhumanity is the extremely cruel behavior bestowed

Wiesel interprets the things that he and his family, along with the rest of the Jews, had to
endure under Hitler s power. Hitler and his Nazi soldiers are accountable for the millions of
Jews deaths due to the inhumanity that they illustrate. The Nazi soldiers did things such as beat,
burn, and tortured the Jewish people just because they were Jewish. They forced them to travel
like a herd of animals without food or water. They took away their hair, clothes, and family,
without giving them a warning. Hitler wanted to exterminate the Jewish people. One example of
how inhumane the Jews were treated is that they did not have names. When arriving to the
concentration camps, they were given identification numbers. This took away the Jews pride.
Another example of the terrible treatment Elie received is when he was beaten by a whip for a
long period of time. Twenty four...twenty five! (Weisel 58). Elie was whipped twenty five times

will try to work in the same way. Management should convince workers that it is better to prefer
long term and stable growth and improvement than quick, short term profits. Lack of strategy. If
there is no any sequence of realizing goals in a company, employees will feel uncertainty about
possibility of constant professional and carrier growth. Organization should have continuously

Advantages of TQM:
TQM gives some short term advantages, however majority of advantages is long termed, and
tangible benefits from them appear only after successful realization. In big organizations this
process can take few years. Long term benefits expected from implementation of TQM higher

Social Themes In Cry, The Beloved Country By Alan Paton
Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton In the novel, Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton, it
follows the narratives of Stephen Kumalo and James Jarvis as they struggle to keep their families
together and deal with the loss of their sons. During the story, Stephen Kumalo shows the readers
his country through his eyes as he travels to Johannesburgto save his sister, Gertrude. As he finds
Gertrude, he comes to know that his son, Absalom, has been caught up in criminal activities during
his tenure in Johannesburg. So, Kumalo tracks down his son to find out that he killed James Jarvis
s son, Arthur Jarvis. This shows the change that moving to an urbanized area can make on a person.
A man that was once kind, humble, and living on the farm with his familyturned into an anxious
and scared man in a big city. In the novel, Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton, the motif of
contrasting images found in the rural versus the urban landscape is depicted through the
difference in social class, lack of care for the human life, and the destruction of families. The
difference in social class is a glaring problem in the novel, Cry, the Beloved... Show more content

For example, all the character that moved to Johannesburg became different people. The change of
culture and surroundings from the rural landscape the big city influenced the characters that they
could not shake. Stephen Kumalo s brother, Joseph, was an example of someone that influenced the
wealthy elite of Johannesburg to stay wealthy and push down the everyone else. Next, the people
that lived had a glaring lack of care for the human life. Everyone only cared for themselves in
Johannesburg. Furthermore, Johannesburg influenced the destruction of the families that moved
there. In conclusion, the culture shock that character experienced greatly influenced a change in

Epic Hero Changes
Maya Angelou once said, I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place
for all people. This may be true for modern times, but texts throughout the ages prove the
characteristics and morals of heros have changed over the years. While reading British Literature,
one becomes familiar with four main categories of heroes: the Epic Hero, the Romantic Hero, the
Tragic Hero, the Postmodern Hero.
An Epic Hero is the first hero in British Literature. The most important task of an Epic hero is to
seek out fame and glory. They will shed their own blood, kill anyone in their way, and complete
seemingly impossible tasks to earn honor from others. Another characteristic is their ability to boast
about themselves. An Epic Hero ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before. Most heroes are super strong and courageous. They face problems that one in modern
times would not face, like fighting for a throne or killing another for a woman s love. A
Postmodern Hero is not like that. They are not always courageous and normally their tasks and
problems are the same a one s own. A reader can now see themselves much easier in the
Postmodern Hero. This iconic style of hero can be found in Grendel by Gardner. In this story
Grendel, the monster, has some monster like characteristics and some human like
characteristics. He attempts to answer the question that many people are trying to solve to. This
is Who am I and where do I fit in? In this way Grendel relates to the reader. Also, he is in search for
love from his mother and tries to fill that void in her heart. All she knows how to do is hug him.
She is incapable of communicating with him. In this way Grendel s problems can also be
related to by the reader. Those in this time period seem to be more open to flaws. This society
realizes that everyone makes mistakes and not all heros are perfect. It is okay to be scared to do
something brave. It is okay to not look like others around you and it is okay to

Booesman s Monologue
Question one
Like the words in brackets suggest, Boesman in this monologue is angry and has an element of
aggressiveness. This monologue is recited at a very violent voice. The monologue however
resembles an irony as Boesman speaks so much about freedom that he claims to have and yet
does not have at all. He speaks of being free yet he does not have a place to rest his own head, to
call his own nor to even feel safe around. He speaks of freedom yet he always lives on the run for
a Whiteman and they still wonders around in search of a place and identity in hope of finding out
who they are. They move around clueless trying to find a place to repeat their pattern of building
their pondok where the Whiteman will not find them, yet he speaks of ... Show more content on

Boesman gets relief by beating up his wife Lena. Often when he is drunk he reveals his adopted
ways of the colonizers and he plays the part of a Whitman and want his wife to submit to him,
address him as my baasie and always use the word please . Another form of abuse one can look at
in play is the abuse of power by the white man, they use the power they have to oppress the black
community, take their land and colonise

  • 2. Lawrence Vs Texas Legal Individualism Legal Individualism is a legal interpretation that emphasizes liberty, self reliance and independence. Legal individualism means everyone is equal based on law system there is no external standard that we can convincingly propose and maintain the separation of equality and inequality and also every individual becomes the bearers of legitimate rights. The legal individualismexpresses American culture because of in an individualistic society, the law preserves the idea that everyone can freely choose to interact with others in their own way whether for economic, artistic, religious or romantic purposes. Not everyone s choice will be fine. Not an individual is unreliable. Not that they can not abuse their freedom. All this is granted. But no one is to make others the reason for their master, but other people may be smart. Both the case Lawrence v. Texas , The Republic of Choices and Bellah s habits of heart mention that legal individualism is deeply in the America society nowadays. The case of Lawrence v. Abstract Case Services software provides production optimization for a variety of different methods of artificial lift. This paper discusses the dominant factors in electrical centrifugal submersible pump design and monitoring. Emphasis is placed on three areas: Well inflow performance behavior. Fluid Pressure Volume Temperature and phase behavior. Pump equipment performance specifications. An examination of fluid dynamics within a centrifugal pump provides appreciation for the need to analyze the pump one stage at a time. The importance of individual pump testing is also identified. This paper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition, it is crucial to analyze pump performance based on a known good condition. Experience has shown that each serialized pump demonstrates unique performance data. Therefore, a factory pump test should be obtained before the pump is installed in a well. The data from this test can be used throughout the equipment life for accurate performance analysis. This discussion is limited to conventional applications of centrifugal pumps specifically excluding: Pumps installed below the producing formation. Downhole gas separation. Variable frequency drive considerations. Focus is placed upon the pump itself. The downhole motor is discussed only in passing. Steady state operation (no pump cycling) is also assumed. 05/30/01 Page 2 Electrical Submersible Pump Analysis and Design Case Services, Inc. The Basics This section describes the formulas that are the basis for the csSubmersible suite s calculations. When employing any pumping method, optimum artificial lift is achieved only when the pump is closely matched to the well s ability to produce fluids. This is especially true with centrifugal pumping. Before the pump design process can even begin, an accurate model of the well s inflow performance must be developed.

Cummings was an intriguing poet that is known for many poetic ideas. Among them, Cummings was known for his ability to create meaning using structure and his avant garde approach towards language. In his work, Cummings experimented radically with form, punctuation, spelling and syntax, which caused him to abandon traditional techniques and structures to create a new, highly distinctive mean of poetic expression. By introducing this new innovative writing style, Cummings has influenced thousands of poets to carry on with his expression, which is what he had hoped for. The wide range of writing style that Cummings included while composing his poems gave him the title of originality. While some of his poetryis free verse (with no concern for rhyme or meter), many have a recognizable sonnet structure of 14 lines, with an intricate rhyme scheme. E.E. Cummings poem, Fame Speaks, is an example of one of his more formal poems. The rhyme scheme is an example of a petrarchan sonnet. The sonnet Fame Speaks talks about how E.E. Cummings wants to be remembered as a great poet and not forgotten in the future. On the other hand, a number of his poems feature a typographically cheerful style, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When I first read the plot, or summary, on the back of the book itself, I begin to wonder what this book what relate to me in what way. As I continued to dig deeper in the marvelous writingof Philip Yancey, I instantly began to relate to his occurrences, and remembering of Jesusas a young child. Just as I begin to read the first chapter, I noticed Yancey referred to Jesus as the nurturer in his Christian walk. To summarize, how to be a Christian. How do we compare our lives to the high expectations. When sometimes we cannot go a day without sin. I don t think Yancey was bashing the sermon itself, but explaining that sometimes being a Christian is hard, and our expectations are high. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus in everything we do in life, we will be the best we can be. Something we all love about Jesus was his ability to preform miracles on human beings just like us. Yancey tries to explain why Jesus was on this earth and did the things He did while he was here. Yancey begins to describe some of the miracles Jesus did like water to wine for example. Then Yancey questions why some of these miracles were preformed and why some were not. This was hard for me to understand because I have never thought about this before. Why did some people receive the blessing of healing and others did not? Women s Status Of Women INTRODUCTION Throughout history and civilization women seem to have been in a constant state of evolution either towards a submissive role or a strong role but nonetheless, changing. This paper will discuss women from the lower and middle ranks in history and their status in the various civilizations. This paper argues that the status of lower and middle class women deteriorated over time and only the Paleolithic period seemed to comprise of a gender neutral society. THE STATUS OF WOMEN OVER TIME In the Paleolithic society, women seemed to have an equal contributing hand towards the survival of the community. Men traveled and hunted while women gathered fruits from areas within the vicinity of their residence. Although hunted meat brought home by the men was important, the vegetables and fruits gathered by the women were equally as important for survival especially when men failed at their hunt. The interdependence of the sexes ensured that one sex is not dominant over another. (Bentley and Ziegler, pg.10). The Venus Figurines (named after the Roman goddess of love) of early homo sapiens were small structures of women that depicted prominent sexual features focusing greatly on fertility and new life. These figurines are believed to also play a role in rituals to increase fertility. • 14. Private Prisons And Public Prisons The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), which is essentially the Enron of the private prison industry, has long touted private prisons as an alternative to government owned prisons. Indeed, CCA has set forth three reasons justifying the creation of private prisons for federal inmates: Cost Effectiveness. Private prisons are less expensive to operate and will save the federal government millions of dollars. Safety. Private prisons are effectively protect inmates safety. Humane Treatment. Private prisons are modern facilities that provide humane treatment to inmates. Studies have shown that private prisons achieve none of these goals, and the reason is simple: private prisons operate under a fundamentally different regulatory structure that alters the choices and motives of its participants. Indeed, unlike their federal counterparts, private prisons operate in a market economy where maximizing profits is vital to sustainability and thus a driving factor in corporate decision making. Under basic economic theory, when operational costs exceed current and future estimates, corporations must identify ways in which to reduce such costs and therefore increase profitability. This is precisely what happened in the private prison context. Corporations such as CCA often underestimate the cost of operating private prisons in a manner that would increase safety and treat inmates more humanely. Although it is only a brief moment that Haller urges Roulet to stay quiet, it is an important moment that highlights an extremely common problem in today s jail system, which is that of eavesdroppers and the way they can further endanger their fellow criminals. Furthermore, Connelly excels at comparing the legal system to Haller s own philosophies. Much of the book revolves around the concept that the law is a machine, and that there are many gray areas. Haller uses all of the technicalities of the law in order to provide for the best defense of the client, and it is these technicalities or gray areas that is what makes the whole novel so believable. An example of this is when his investigator, Raul Levin, gives Haller a video of Roulet meeting the victim at the bar. • 25. The Importance Of Traditional Family Values Traditional family values comprise a number of different values and beliefs held in high esteem regarding family life. Chief among the values is an emphasis on a loving, lifelong marriage, with the male as the breadwinner and the wife as the mother and homemaker. Traditionally, members who follow these values oppose premarital sex, easy access to contraceptive information, and abortions, as most of these in some way or another are viewed as sins. Prior to the 1970s, traditional familyvalues didn t play a large role in American politics, and instead mainly influenced family life. Beginning in the 1970s, however, this changed as these values became a catchphrase and political platform of the American right. From Ronald Reagan to Pat Robertson, Conservatives couldn t comment on the decline of the family enough. How, then, did these values become such an integral part of of political life, as opposed to remaining private matters? The answer lies in the 1960s. From the 1940s to the early 1960s, after both World War II and The Great Depression, Americans were more eager than ever to establish families. Following traditional family values, these couples set a trend for earlier marriages with a greater number of kids than those of Europe during the same time period. From the examiner s report: Many answers demonstrated a significant amount of sociological knowledge, but failed to take note of the wording of the question, and therefore were unable to apply the knowledge appropriately. For example, many students ignored the reference to today and instead launched into a lengthy account of the nature of childhood in the Middle Ages, and subsequently struggled to focus on the 6 of 8 question. Other students were able to discuss the way in which childhood was socially constructed and the changing nature of childhood, without explicitly discussing whether childhood today is being lost. More focused answers tended to use Postman and Palmer to suggest that childhood was being lost, contrasting these with the views of Opie and Pilcher that childhood remains distinct. Many made reference to the mass media without necessarily tying it to the specifics of the question; similarly, others referred to the commercialisation of childhood without linking this explicitly to the question. Many students compared various cross cultural models of childhood, and in some cases contrasted these with the experience of childhood in modern industrial societies. Relatively few students were able to differentiate between stages of childhood, or address gender or class differences. Overall only a minority of answers retained their focus on the issue of whether childhood is being lost in society today. June 2014 Examine the reasons for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But even more significantly, Andrews has impacted the music community by bringing a new air of elegance to the stage, raising the bar of vocal ability standards internationally, and expressing the beauty of music through her impeccable, crystalline voice. Born on October 1st, 1935, to Barbara Ward Wells (a pianist) and Edward Charles (Ted) Wells in Walton On Thames, Surrey, England. Barbara and Ted divorced soon after the outbreak of World War II, and Barbara was remarried to Ted Andrews, who would make an essential and insurmountable impact on young Andrew s life. Her teacher Lillian Stiles Allen was hired promptly and began instructing young Andrews in operatic techniques. In 1920 Robert Michel created a painting named Ship , which it contained many visual elements such as cool and warm colors curvilinear geometric figures. First of all, Michel shows the viewer a lot of curvilinear lines meaning a consisting of, bounded by, or characterized by a curved line, or a along a curved line of a set of coordinates determined by or determining a system of three orthogonal surfaces (definition from the internet). Geometric meaning, a set of points or vertices lines connecting the points in a closed chain, as well as the resulting interior points. Such shapes are called polygons and include triangles, squares, and pentagons (definition from the internet). And irregular shapes meaning polygon that does not have all sides equal and all angles equal. A polygon is regular only when all angles are equal and all sides are equal, otherwise it is irregular (definition from the internet). He also adds warm, cool and intensity colors to catch the viewer attention. The person analyzing the painting really has to pay very close attention to Micheles art work. Michele tends to add a lot of small detail to his art work mostly about life; such as the sea representing water, animals like elephants, numbers, moving flags representing air, two humans in the house representing a family, a clock representing time, rims, and boats both ... Othello has all of this, but it does also have a very suspenseful and dark side, which kept me interested. Shakespeare s Othello is story that takes place in the 1600 s and is centers around four main characters: Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army; his wife, Desdemona, his lieutenant Cassio and his trusted ensign, Iago. I found Othello to be a great story, play and movie because it encompasses all of the things we all experience in life such as: racism, love, jealousy and betrayal. He shows one side of him to one person, and another side to another. In the film, Iago works very hard to keep up his appearance with all the different characters. No character sees more than one side of him, and his plots are kept to himself. I think the role of Iago was a tough one to play because of the ability to make people truly believe how convening he was, but Branagh did a great job. I also noticed that when Othello was speaking, his facial reactions would visibly change when Othello looked the other way. It was incredible how quickly the change from an evil expression to a loving and loyal expression was made. In one scene, Iago and Othello are hugging, and Iago s face reflects contempt as soon as his face is beside Othello s face.
