According to WHO health is a state of
complete physical, mental and social
wellbeing and not merely the absence of
disease.
WHAT IS HUMAN RIGHT TO HEALTH?
The human right to health means that everyone
has the right to the highest attainable standard
of physical and mental health, which includes
access to all medical services, sanitation,
adequate food, decent housing, healthy working
conditions, and a clean environment.
The WHO goes on to clarify that it is the state's legal
obligation to ensure uniform access to "timely,
acceptable, and affordable health care of appropriate
quality as well as to provide for the underlying
determinants of health, such as safe and potable
water, sanitation , food , housing ,health related
information and education and gender equality “ to
all its people.
The right to health contains four elements..
Availability: A sufficient quantity of functioning public
health and healthcare facilities, goods and services, as well
as programmes..
Accessibility: Health facilities, goods and services accessible
to everyone.
Acceptability: All health facilities, goods and services must
be respectful of medical ethics and culturally appropriate as
well as sensitive to gender and life-cycle requirements.
Quality: Health facilities, goods and services must be
scientifically and medically appropriate and of good quality.

Right to health is a fundamental right
guaranteed to every citizen of India under
Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
The right to health is inherent to a life with
dignity.

necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment,
sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances
beyond his control”

and they play a crucial role in our development
Everyone should have access to the health services they need,
when and where they need them, without suffering financial hardship.
No one should get sick and die just because they are poor, or because they
cannot access the health services they need.
HOW TO ASSURE PROPER HEALTH CARE?
Awareness among masses by conducting seminars and
classes.
Conducting medical camps in rural areas.
Assure proper nutrition especially in growing children and
pregnant women.
Provide affordable medical treatment .
Mass drive of vaccination and immunization thus preventing
infectious spread.
