Symplectic Elements is a new centralized research management system that will allow staff to manage their research profiles, import publication data, and deposit full-text research outputs into the institutional repository. It will retrieve publication information from citation databases automatically and notify users by email. Data can be reused to populate dynamic bibliographies on staff webpages. The system provides LDAP authentication for academic staff and aims to link various research activities like REF submissions and case studies.
