Design thinking, design doing, making
In Design Factory, the work takes place in
interdisciplinary teams strengthening each
student’s own area of expertise. The idea of
Design Factory is to enable learning by
doing authentic industry projects and
solving development challenges.
Design Factory also offers various
workshops for 3D printing, laser cutting,
electronics, wood and metal working

All Design Factory courses follow Design Thinking
processes where students empathize with the
users, define the problem, ideate, prototype, and
test their ideas.
Courses include
• Product Development Project 5 – 10 cr
• Service Design 15 cr
• Design Factory Workshops 2-15 cr
• Data Analytics 15 cr
+150 students participated in Design Factory

1000 students yearly participate in Design

Design Factories are an expanding network in
RUN-EU, we also have Future Design Factory in
NHL Stenden and FORGE Design Factory in TUS
