They chose a date and invited all their relatives; their cousins, their aunts and uncles and their nieces and nephews to the wedding. They gave one of the nicest weddings of the town. They went to Madrid on their honeymoon and they visited the Prado. My grandfather rented a flat near the plaza where his father-in-law built a home. Two months after the wedding, my grandmother became pregnant and she gave birth to my father the next spring. The day after my father was born, my grandfather received a letter and it said that he had to fight in the war. Grandfather maintained his family and returned
