This study investigates the drillability of migmatite gneisses in Lokoja, Nigeria, by analyzing the correlation between various rock strength properties and penetration rates. Findings indicate that uniaxial compressive strength varies from 239.60 to 283.01 MPa, while the penetration rates range from 1.10 to 1.60 m/min, demonstrating that higher equivalent quartz content inversely affects penetration rate. The research emphasizes the importance of rock properties in predicting drilling efficiency for construction purposes.
