Gun Control Essay Outline
Writing an essay on the topic of "Gun Control" can be both challenging and thought-provoking.
The difficulty lies not only in presenting a coherent and well-structured argument but also in
navigating the sensitive nature of the subject. Gun control is a multifaceted issue that involves
legal, ethical, and social considerations, making it necessary to approach the topic with a
balanced perspective.
Crafting an essay outline requires thorough research to understand the historical context, existing
laws, and various opinions surrounding gun control. One must delve into statistical data, explore
case studies, and analyze the impact of different policies on society. The challenge is to
synthesize this information into a clear and compelling argument while acknowledging the
complexities of the issue.
Furthermore, addressing opposing viewpoints is crucial in creating a well-rounded essay. The
debate on gun control often sparks passionate opinions, and navigating through these opposing
arguments while maintaining objectivity can be challenging. Striking the right balance between
presenting facts and incorporating persuasive elements is key to a successful essay.
Moreover, the emotional aspect of the topic adds another layer of complexity. Discussing
incidents involving gun violence requires a delicate and respectful approach. It's important to be
empathetic while still maintaining a focus on the overarching policy issues.
In conclusion, writing an essay on gun control necessitates a comprehensive understanding of
the topic, the ability to navigate through conflicting opinions, and the skill to present a
compelling argument. The writer must strike a delicate balance between emotional sensitivity
and analytical rigor to provide a nuanced perspective on this contentious issue.

Factors Influencing The Formation Of Policy
Introduction
Our nation continues to grapple with the challenges of public higher education. A
variety of ideas have been presented to help public higher education continue
evolving. While legislators present their case through economic fluctuation, an ever
changing assessment of the value of higher education, and demographic changes
amongst other pressures affordability, access, and accountability (AAA) continue to
dominate the discourse. This is a national phenomenon that plays out in the state
legislature. Donald E. Heller edits a collection of essays titled The States and Public
Higher Education Policy: Affordability, Access, and Accountability. These essays
help address many of the factors influencing the formation of policy. While this is an
informative compilation only chapter 1, 2, 4, 8, and the concluding chapter will be
analyzed. This analysis will provide an overview of the key arguments, a critique of
the chapters, and present comments and questions about the implications of these
policy proposals.
Key Arguments
In the first chapter authored by Donald E. Heller discusses trends in the
affordability of public colleges and universities. He attempts to challenge how
college cost is assessed in relation to financial aid. With the inclusion of additional
fees that students are required to pay and a student and family s ability to pay, we
still continue to see that the cost of college takes a bigger percentage of family
resources each year. This problem is even worse
Buck Stereotypes
For the young black child looking in the toy aisle and at the TV and searching in
books for someone like them, a role model and a place to connect with it,
representation matters. To the young white child, going to a mostly white private
school or homeschooling (like I did) who gets their worldview and idea of how
things are from their parents, TV, mainstream media, and books representation
matters. When black children look to the media and don t see themselves reflected in
it, they are told that they don t matter. When white children look to the media and are
presented with people who mostly look like them, with the only people who are not
white being presented as criminals, they learn to think of others as criminals and
themselves as superior. The relations between raceand media have come a far way
and still have a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many of the stereotypes we see of black people in media date back to slavery, and
are simply updated over the years to fit the untrue narrative people are used to. A
large number of these stereotypes were used to justify and excuse slavery. The fact
that they re still in circulation is disgusting. For example, the Buck stereotype is
the stereotype of the violent male sexual predator with a lust for white women. An
old example of this stereotype is in the 1915 movie The Birth Of A Nation . A
modern example is Terry Crews character in the movie White Chicks a black man
who exclusively pursues white women. This stereotype was used to make black
men look like a threat to white women, and white men their saviors . Then there s
the Jezebel stereotype an overly sexualized black woman, a siren , portraying black
women as bitches and whores . The idea of the Jezebel was used as an excuse for the
sexual abuse of black women during slavery to make it seem like they deserved
whatever happened, and reflect blame back on the
Santiago In How To Read Literature Like A Professor
As Santiago continues to struggle with the Marlin many characteristics become
obvious, specifically characteristics that show a parallel to Christ. Referring back
to the example used in How to Read Literature Like a Professor, Santiago shares
similarities to Christ. Throughout his struggle with the Marlin, many references are
made to being alone and far from land. This isolation is similar to that of Jesus, and
along with the doubts of his peers, puts Santiago in a similar situation as that of
Christ s. The old man also acquires cuts on his hands and carries the fish on his back.
Jesus carried the cross that eventually killed him upon his back, and was pierced
through the hands. This poses the question of whether Santiago will share the fate

Life during the Holocaust:
Life in the ghettos, Dr. Mengele s medical care, and food in the camps
Genocide during WWII was unbelievably cruel and awful. The Holocaust was sure to
be remembered from this time period and have permanently engraved horrible
memories into those who survived. During the Holocaust many victims suffered
while living in the ghettos, soon to reach the camps they also suffered there as well.
The encounters with Dr. Mengele were unbearable too. Elie Wiesels memoir Night is
very important especially the fact that it accurately describes what really happened
during the Holocaust. One of these many reasons is that Wiesel was an actual
survivor of the Holocaust. His descriptions of his experiences in the ... Show more

Mengele (a typical SS officer: a cruel face, but not devoid of intelligence, and
wearing a monocle); a conductors baton in his hand, he was standing among the
other officers (Wiesel 29). From this moment on Elie stood frightened like never
before. Dr. Mengele being head of selection process only took the fittest people to
work. For this process you would want to be between the ages of 16 40. Elie
Wiesel and his father lied about their age to make sure they would make it through
selection. Elie was 15 but said he was 18 and his father was 50 but said he was 40.
Without lying they probably would have both been selected to go to the
crematories (Wiesel 30). Elie Wiesel remembers when Mengele was selecting
more victims but just by marking their number down. Luckily Wiesel was not
selected but more or less hid his number from the doctor as he was running past.
The end of the road was near for those who had gotten marked down in the doctors
little book (Wiesel 68). Though selection was a big piece of the Holocaust so were
the medical experiments held by Dr. Mengele on innocent victims of the Holocaust.
His experiences are very similar in detail to others as well. Typically known for
getting his reputation as an SS doctor at Auschwitz, Josef Mengele was also known
for conducting medical experiments on those who suffered during the Holocaust. Dr.
Mengele did many horrible experiments on those who suffered during the Holocaust.

The Complications Of The Relations Between Henry VI

Unsolved issues and the complications of the relations between the House of
Lancaster and the House of York initiated the government s main struggle: no heir
to the throne. The main struggle of the War of the Roses was the feud between the
house of York (symbolized by a white rose) and the house of Lancaster (symbolized
by a red rose) (J. Lacey, 2012). Henry VI led the house of the house of Lancaster; On
the other hand, Richard of York led the house of York
. Although both houses share
Edward II as their ancestor, they fought over the throne and thus, the War of Roses
developed. However, Henry VI had the legitimate right to throne, but unlike his
father, were weak and a poor leader. This situation became worse when the people

Internal And Internal Factors That Affect Employee
Behavior
There are lots of factors both internal and external which affects the organization and
its employees time to time, some of these factors are controllable and some are
uncontrollable, Mostly the internal factors are controllable and the external factors
are uncontrollable but it depends on the situation. The employee behavior is one of
the most effective internal factor which affectthe organization in core level. And it is
how the employee react to a particular situation at their workplace. The employees are
the back bone of the organization, so that the organizations goal can be affected by
the employee behavior, that s why it is important that we know about the factors
which affects/influence employee behavior.

is integral to the way employee works every day.it is important because it outlines
how the bank can make sure that the decision they make are the right ones. And also
by following this code the staffs would have to become Courageous, Responsive,
International, Creative and Trustworthy (Conduct), as following the code is a rule.
And another code is Act responsible and within authority this helps the employee to

immediately to mind. Hershey is the leading manufacturer of chocolate in North
America but that is not all what Hershey is all about. Considering the humble
beginnings of its founder, Milton Hershey, Hershey Food Corporation s success is
as sweet as the chocolates it produces and as lovely as the candies it offers its
customers. But before gaining its sweet success, it had undergone business dilemma
like bankruptcy. But due to good governance, it was able to turn this dilemma to
strengths. Its growth in its local markets can be described to be vast. In a few years

Urban Legend Of Crocodiles In The Harlem City
The legends of crocodiles in the sewers of major cities is a gripping form of urban
legend that makes it own genre, between horror and cryptozoology. The legend in this
form extends as far back as the 1930 s in the United States, and has been circulated
through the internet since the internet itself circulated the globe, and many accounts
of sightings have spread through Youtube s pseudo documentary community, and
Facebook s unique niche for fantastic tales. Humans crave wild and fictitious stories
of monsters in the city, and a creative few supply them with such tales. This legend is
stamped throughout American history and each version of it has the same theme a
vicious beast lurking beneath our cities, lying in wait to swallow it s next victim....

The reptiles were rumored to survive the plumbing, and eventually make their way
to the city sewers, living their days out beneath urban centres, eating rats and refuse,
and frightening the occasional sanitary worker or pipe engineer. Certain accounts of
this legend vary, sometimes changing the city, altering the animal, or exaggerating
how the teller reacted, such as taking the offensive and killing the beast. Salvatore
Condoluci is one of the first to report this incident. He initially claimed that he had
caught and ultimately killed a seven to eight foot long alligator they discovered
beneath an open manhole on 123rd Street near the Harlem River, (NYT 2009). The
most popular renditions of the beast in the sewer involve different animals. In the
recent Suicide Squad movie, the character Killer Croc, who is a human genetically
spliced with a crocodile, is forced to live in the sewers of a maximum security
prison camp, furthering the idea that reptiles are suited to live in sewers. In the
most recent Spider Man movie, spider man is forced to batter with Dr. Curt
Connors, a man who is also genetically spliced with a lizard, and takes refuge in
New York s sewer system, away from the human populace. The most iconic

people suffered for the the explosive Atomic Bomb.
The first Atomic Bomb the U.S. Americans dropped was in war 11 they name for
the atomic bomb was called little boy the little boy atomic bomb was a gun type
weapon with a uranium core in the back of the bomb then close to the uranium core
was a Hollow uranium bullet with is a bullet in the back on the bomb and then in
the middle of the bomb is a Gun barrel which is a tube where the bullet travels when
the gun bullet fires and then at the very top of the atomic bomb inside is a cylinder
target witch is a target that enables you to detect and track images rolled into the
cylinder it also can identify the side length and diameters of the cylinder target and
adding the images that you want to detect. And then once the atomic bomb hits any
object the bomb explodes witch means that the Gun barrel traveled through the bomb

11 October, 2016 In 1775 General Thomas Gage, Commander if the British Force in
the Massachusetts Colony, issued orders to the troops quartered in Boston,
Massachusetts to march to Concord and and destroy the colonial military stores that
were there. The reason the British were in Massachusetts in the first place was
because the people of Massachusetts were very rebellious and have had many
violent resistances against the British already. The secret orders that Gage issued
were hardly a secret and some colonials knew about this movement a week before the
British moved out. Both the British troops and the colonial militia meet each other at

John Bateman, a British soldier who was captured by the colonists said that he
heard a command to fire given to the Regulars, and that none of the colonists fired
at the Regulars(3). This completely goes against the British evidence which clearly
says that they did not give the command to fire and were giving orders to not fire.
Also, since he was captured by the colonists, he obviously wants to say something
that pleases them since they are his audience. That makes his evidence unreliable
since he could have made that up to please the colonists who had captured him. Next
up is Sylvanus Wood who was a commonwealth of Massachusetts and gave a sworn
testimony on June 17, 1826. He Said that The officer then swung his sword, and
said Lay down your arms, you damn d rebels, or you are all dead men fire (5). He
also said One member of the company told me, many years since, that after Parker s
company had dispersed, and he was at some distance, he gave them the guts of his
gun (5). Wood said that The British ordered their troops to fire, as well as him
saying that one of the colonists did in fact fire against the Regulars. This contradicts
the fact that Bateman said that none of the colonists fired at the Regulars while
Wood is saying that at least one colonists did fire upon the Regulars. It also seems a
bit unreliable since Wood s testimony was made almost 50 years later after the event

Storyboard A With regards to the evaluation of the first storyboard, I will be taking
into consideration the 10 Usability Heuristics. I will be going into each one of them
and evaluating the storyboard accordingly. Visibility of system status This heuristic
takes into consideration how the system alerts and informs the user about the
current activity that is being carried out by system within an acceptable time frame.
I believe that our storyboard conforms to this heuristic in that fact that at the top of
the window it tells the user of the system what page they are currently on. I believe
that the buttons and the text boxes with the fact that they also instruct the user what
to do in real time fall under this category. However if I was going to improve on the
design we could have colour coded the text boxes so they change... Show more

In our system we have adopted and applied this heuristic as when an error message
appears it has a constructive message that alerts the user as to how they can fix the
error by indicating the problem and its location. E.g when a user enters a username
that doesn t follow the format of the username then an error message appears stating
what went wrong and where. Help and Documentation This heuristic covers the need
for simple yet informative documentation, that way when the user is stuck they have
a guide that will inform them on what they have to do. Our system has been
constructed in such a manner that it is straight forward, so there is no requirement
for help and documentation to be created. However if I was going to make an
improvement to our system then I would create such documentation that way it
would clear up any ambiguity if the user does get stuck on a specific function of the
system. Evaluation of Storyboard
Temperatoria In Treblinka II
Before, they killed us with hatred and without method; today they are exterminating
us without hatred but with method, and this is serious. It is no longer men we are
up against, it is machines (Treblinka). Treblika was designed as a Nazi
extermination camp occupied in Poland. The camp was consisted of two separate
units; Treblinka I was a forced labor camp, and the second camp, Treblinka II, was an
extermination camp. It was operated between 1941 to 1944 and approximately
850,000 men, women and children were murdered, including more than 800,000
Jews. (Niss) However, under the Nazis dreadful torture, some Jews gathered
together to plan for the revolt. Treblinka I was found officially on 15 November

Erikson s Theory On Development
From leaning objective 8.9, explains the development of the personality along with
social interpersonal skills, and the concept of the self from infancy to adulthood, I
wanted to compare the first five stages of Erikson s theory on development to Ken
Wilber s first five stages of his nine stages, that he calls spaces. The first five stages
of Erikson s theory, which he notes as crisis, are trust versus mistrust, autonomy
versus shame and doubt, initiative versus guilt, industry versus inferiority, and
identity versus role confusion. The first four personal spaces, of Wilber s theory
are the archaic, the magical, or egocentric, the mythical, and the rational. Erikson s
theory states that an emotional crisis must be successfully met for normal
development. Wilber s theory is similar in that he uses an example of a multiple
story building. If one stage isn t completely understood, but not mastered, then that
floor will end up leaning, and a building like that cannot be sustained for long
before its structural integrity is compromised. Erikson s theory is based that social
interactions were the most important thing to consider for healthy development of
children. The first stage, starting from infancy on to 1 year of age, has the crisis of
trust versus mistrust. This just means that they develop either of these skills based
on how well their needs are taken care of. The next crisis starts at 1 year of age up to
3 years of age, toddler age. This one is called autonomy
How Customer Loyalty Is Not Effortlessly Achieved Since...
Section l: Literature Search.
Many companies today have come to the conclusion that customer loyalty is not
effortlessly achieved since customers have so many options and alternative to choose
from. Customers are the decision makers of where and when to shop. The research in
this chapter will focus on what factors or elements impact customer s loyalty.
According to Harvey Thompson (2004), there are numerous factors that influence
customer s loyalty. One of these factors is the price of the products rather than the
perception of value. Another factor is the attribute of the product and how well it
caters to the customers wants and needs. Service is another element in which the

Communication: Communication is an art in which retail industry have a great need
to master it in order to maintain customer loyalty. According to Klie Leonard (2013),
it is a necessitate to keep a continuous line of communication between the customer
and the supplier. Customer engagement may lead to customer loyalty for engaging a
customer during their visit to the store can make customers feel welcome and valued.
As Leonard illustrates (2013) companies should instruct employees to actually listen
and comprehend what the customer are saying and then decided what to do with that
information. Similarly, Thompson (2004) mentions a distinctive competency that a
company should possess is listening to customers and providing what they want. This
allows for the customer loyalty to begin, cultivate and as long as it s maintained, the
customer will continue to return to experience the nurturing effect that has grown
among them. Leonard (2013), makes it a point to express that a company should also
keep all promises made to their customer this, in turn, will result in trust.
Price: According to Docters, Reopel, Sun, and Tanny (2003) personal experiences is
an entity which customers will recall numerous times during their life span.
Nevertheless, in the mind of the customer

Literature Review Of Royal Jelly
REVIEW OF LITERATURE Royal jelly (RJ) is a honeybee product secreted from the
hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of the worker honeybees. It contains a
mixture of very important compounds that give it therapeutic and nutritional
properties. These compounds as protein, glucose, lipid, vitamins, minerals, aspartic
acid, gelatin, sterols, phosphorous compounds, acetylcholine, nucleic acids, and
numerous trace ingredients. The ingredients are in the form of water, crude protein
and monosaccharides. The remainder of the royal jelly is composed of an ether
soluble fraction of fatty acid (Galaly et al., 2014).
Royal jelly is a viscous jelly substance which is partially soluble in water with a
density of 1.1 g/ ml. Its colour is whitish to yellow, the yellow color increases upon
storage. Its odor is pungent, the taste being sour and sweet. Old RJ, which stored
for long time tends to be darker and possess a rancid taste. For optimum quality, RJ
should be stored in frozen state. According to water content, the viscosity of RJ
varies and it slowly becomes more viscous when stored at room temperature or in a
refrigerator at 5ВєC. The viscosity of RJ increases with increment of water insoluble
nitrogenous compounds and a reduction in soluble nitrogen and free amino acids
(Ramadan and Al Ghamdi, 2012).
Royal jelly contains proteins, more than 80% of RJ proteins are soluble proteins
called major royal jelly proteins (MRJPs) which are glycoproteins. These proteins

through a router, or the sequence of IP addresses that access a given web page.
Like all data stream algorithms, this algorithm must process each item in the stream
quickly, using very little memory. GETONESP1.E(srream S): t 4 0 while S is not

the algorithm, the variable ВЈ stores the length of the input stream S; this number is
not known to the algorithm in advance. IfS is empty, the output of the algorithm is
(correctly!) undefined. In the following, consider an arbitrary non empty input
stream S, and let n denote the (unknown) length of S. Framework Related:

Transvaginal Ultrasound Essay
As a result, even tortuous and lengthy tracts may be monitored at any level. Most
times, no contrast material is required, as urine or menstrual blood are easily
recognizable to demonstrate the tract and the direction of the flow. Lastly, low or
high pressure may be generated real time during the scan, and thus leading to the
clear manifestation of the flow as well as the resistance of the fistula.
Ureterovaginal
Ureterovaginal fistulas can be detected by means of transvaginal ultrasound, as the
distal third of the ureter, where fistulas usually occur, can be visualized distinctly.

Ultrasound equipment is readily available, easy to use and most surgical specialties
have incorporated basic sonographic skills in their training curriculum. Diagnosis of a
fistula may be completed during the first scan and dynamic examination with patient
involvement can provide additional clinical information. If required, contrast material
might be used intracavitary and as a rule is not associated with a burden to the patient
s health. We should bare in mind, that color Doppler or 3D imaging can shed light on
the characteristics of the fistula, such as inflammation of the tissues and edema.
Without a doubt, that information can be very helpful for the timing of the
procedure, whereas, serial sonographic examinations may reveal changes in
characteristics of the fistula over time. Ultrasound might well be applied intra
operatively, if needed. It is worth mentioning, that ultrasound examination might be
undertaken by the surgeon, thus providing crucial additional information for the
clinical investigation. Another benefit associated with the usage of ultrasonography
is that it can be performed even during the physical examination, just next to the
examination bed with minimal stress to the patient. Last but not least,
ultrasonography uses different probes, but all may be used, if required, during an
examination on the same sonographic

Examples Of Psychological Resilience
Psychological Resilience
People contend with many difficult and trying times every day. These may be the
loss of a loved one, a serious illness, the loss of a job or source of income, a terrorist
attack, to mention but a few tragic events. More often than not, these events tend to
be life changing, and how people react to them matters. For the most part, most
people react to such incidences with a sense of uncertainty, accompanied by a
flood of strong emotions. In retrospect, people have the tendency to adapt
c0onsidrably to such life changing situations, albeit over time. This process
involves a lot of resilience, which is an ongoing process that necessitates effort,
time, and engagement, with the people going through a series of stages. Of
interest to this discourse, therefore, are some of the coping strategies individuals
employ, to cope with some of these challenging situations. To do this, this essay
uses the example of Frederic Henry in Ernest Hemingway s A Farwell to Arms.
First, we will talk about how Henry has a series of misfortunes from his past, which
he appears to cope with rather well. Second, we will talk about Catherine Barkley,
Frederic s love interest. She has also lost her fiancГ© when she meets ... Show more

psychological dysfunction may range from persistent negative moods, or even a

resilience. In this sense, Neill observes that psychological stressors, also dubbed risk
factors, are those experiences of major chronic or acute stress, such as the death or
someone close, chronic illness, or even the sexual, emotion, or even physical abuse

community violence, such as the recent upheaval of terrorist attacks across the
Vasco Da Gama Summary
The author of this traveler account is Vasco da Gama himself. He was born about
1460 in Portugal and was a famous navigator for the King of Portugal. Da Gama
starts off his journal by describing his voyage to the Bay of St. Helena in 1497, also
describing himself as the Captain Major in third person. Da Gama had anchored in
the bay for eight days to clean their ships and took captive on of the natives,
feeding him and dressing him well, he was returned to land and that helped da
Gama gain entry with the other natives to their land. He describes the inhabitants
as ...tawny colored. Their food is confined to the flesh of seals, whales and
gazelles, and the roots of herbs. They are dressed in skins, and wear sheaths over
their virile members. They are armed with poles of olive wood to which a horn,
browned in the fire, is attached. Their numerous dogs resemble those of Portugal, and
bark like them. Da Gama notices the similarity of dogs in St. Helena to those of his
home country of Portugal, which I don t think he expected to see. Vasco goes on to
explain how he showed them merchandise that he brought from Portugal and all the
natives were amazed by it. The following night, da Gama is at supper and then says
that he hears shouting and sees one of his crew being chased by the natives across the
beach and quickly they depart from this bay, due to some miscommunication where
the natives started to attack them.
Many things interested da Gama and had led him to navigate all the
Feminist Arguments About Gender Equality
Outline
Premises: (Given) gender has been a point of controversy throughout history. (Given)
controversy leads to differences in viewpoints and interpretations.
Proposition: (Thus) over time, the standpoint used to make arguments about gender
equality has shifted from a humanist to a feminist point of view.
Reasons and Evidence: (Because) humanism and feminism have been different
standpoints for a while. (For example) the terms humanist and feminist cannot be
used in place of one another because they imply different ways of thinking about the
similarity and equality between men and women. (For example) feminist views argue
for equality itself while humanist views argue about the way in which women are

Audience: Mainly those interested in feminism, gender equality, or differences in
argumentation style. The author does not assume that her audience is familiar with
the differences between the humanist and feminist standpoints in argumentation and
makes sure to explain the styles at the start of the literature review. The audience
does not need to have any specific knowledge on the subject.
Goal: Demonstrate the difference between the humanist and the feminist standpoints
for arguments of gender equality. Show how over time the favored argumentation
standpoint has shifted from humanism to feminism. Describe how scholars favored
different argumentation styles in different time periods. Help readers be more aware
of the evolution of argumentation regarding gender equality.

Drugs And Anti-Addictive Drugs In Football And The NFL
As many of us do not want to believe it, football is a very dangerous sport and the
NFL is full of controversies. Being a very rugged sport, athletes are exposed to
various injuries and are handed dangerous opioids by coaches and team doctors.
Pushing the human body past their designed limit is harmful in the long run. With the
hits that come along in football many players get trauma and have countless
concussions. CTE short for chronic traumatic encephalopathy is degenerative disease
found in people who suffer repetitive braintrauma.
Many former and current NFL players have faced many issues because of
painkillers. 52 percent of the retired players said they used prescription pain
medication during their playing days. Of those, 71 percent said they misused the
drugs then, and 15 percent of the misusers acknowledged misusing the medication
within the past 30 days. (Barr). Many professional football players are prescribes

Pokemon Candies and Eggs While Walking with Your Buddy Pokemon
The Pokemon Go Buddy System is the best update yet. Niantic told fans to expect
more from the game, and this latest feature is just one of the many to watch out for.
The new system will allow you to choose any Pokemon in your collection as your
buddy that will accompany you as you go in search for Pokemon and will also
appear next to you, behind you, perched on your shoulder, or flying alongside you in
the avatar screen. A Buddy Pokemon is categorized as medium, shoulder, big and

The Buddy system gives you in game rewards, such as a candy for walking certain
distances with your Pokemon buddy. But what makes it really exciting is that the
distance and time to earn candies is measured in the same way for hatching eggs. For
many players, this makes a great replacement for the tracking system that has been
removed, and what they have been waiting for to get an update.
Its effect is threefold:
It helps players to find specific Pokemon in the wild.
Introduces a new way of evolving Pokemon.
Provides an extra incentive that will re ignite the waning interest of players, what

Chapter Three Gnarly Wipeout Dude It was one of those mornings when the sun
chased away the shadows and smeared the sky with too much color. A breeze
tousled my hair as I sat with my back pressed against an ancient oak tree. I tried not
to think too much about Gramps, but I kept wondering: if the centaurs were real
and if all this magical stuff was possible, surely there had to be a way to help him
and them at the same time. An acorn dropped from overhead and left an impression
in the dirt. Prints. Of course. Why hadn t I thought of that before? I bolted to the

Effects Of Juvenile Delinquency
It is ironic in America, today, one must have a driver s license to operate a vehicle,
a permit to own a gun and even a license to own a dog, but one does not have to
have training or a license in order to become a parent. Without specialized educational
programs in child development and parenting, many of our future parents will not
have a chance at becoming successful parents and worse, yet, many parents today are
already contributing to the ever increasing problem of juvenile delinquencysimply by
not knowing how to be parents. Being a parentis a lifelong commitment and new
parents must learn parentingskills immediately; they do not have the luxury of
internships and often times, mistakes in parenting will have drastic effects on the
child.
There are many reasons for the widespread crisis in families today. There have
been many changes in our social environment over the last twenty five years. These
changes have made a risky environment for today s youth. Children and teenagers
spend more time with their friends. Illegal Drugs and deadly weapons are used
increasingly as ways to solve problems. Illicit and explicit sexuality and violence are
the main subjects of choice in the media; and the impact of media influence has
widened and become more vivid with the introduction of computers and video games.

Passive Observations And Active Experimentation
To answer this question we must clearly understand the main three aspects which
are Passive observation , active experiment , and whether if there was another way
to produce knowledge. Passive observations and active experimentation are very
associated to each other because experimentation is simply the methodological
observation of things. Both passive observation and active transport might not be
distinct modes of learning. The question asks whether if there is another way of
producing knowledge. Inductive and deductive reasoning can also count as a way
of producing knowledge. Inductive reasoning is reasoning in which the properties
pursue it supply strong evidence for the conclusion. Deductive reasoning is the
logical way of getting to a conclusion. The areas of knowledge that will be
discussed in the essay will be Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The way of
knowing that will be discussed in the essay will be doing vs. thinking and ethics
/ culture. The two knowledge questions that will execute in this essay are To what
extent can we determine the source of our knowledge? and To what extent can we
determine which form of the different forms of knowledge is more important?
Mathematics is an inductive epistemology being either observed or physically
represented. The theory of special relativity is the accepted physical theory regarding
the relationship between space and time that is based on two principles, the principle

In the early history of the civil rights movement two distinguished African American
leaders, Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. William Edward Burghardt Du Bois arose
to accomplish one goal, education for all African Americans. throughout the turn of
the century, between the years 1895 and 1915 there have been several theories on
how African Americans were about to attain first class citizenship. With 2 separate
views on a way to accomplish this goal, the African Americancommunity was split in

Creating a Model to Forecast the Adjusted Close Price of...
Aim of the Project
My intention is to create a model in order to forecast the adjusted close price of
Paddy Power PLC shares. I will examine some of the different Statistical Modelling
techniques and evaluate the merits of each in turn.
I will use the Generalised Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH)
model if it is found that the variance of the time series is non constant. My final
forecasting model will primarily use the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average
(ARIMA) model to predict future closing prices of the share, with a GARCH model
of the variance incorporated.
I will use the R Software to implement these methods. R is a large open source
statistical software which is favoured by many professional statisticians and
academics.

Immanuel Kant s Good Will
It is difficult to credit just one philosopher as the most influential. Thomas Hobbes
Social Contract Theory may very well be responsible for the relationship between
rulers have forged with its people, as he believed man should submit to authority for
without a leader to govern the people, man would live in disarray. Immanuel Kant
suggests an act of Good Will should be considered a moral obligation not a desired
gesture. He understood in an unconditional moral obligation that is binding in all
circumstances and is not dependent on a person s inclination or purpose (Philosophy
.com). Although each of these philosophers make compelling arguments, one has to
wonder, who inspired them? Since the dawn of time, men behaved like beasts with no
concept of morality, no political conviction or even the perception of happiness. One
philosopher above all others may have singlehandedly designed societies way of
thinking, and may have also inspired the aforementioned philosophers Aristotle.

Happiness is one of man s greatest pursuits; it is, after all, within our nature to seek

The Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Essay
Literature Review 2.1 Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Solar
radiation estimation models were developed using meteorological parameters and
site geographical locations. These meteorological factors have a major influence
on the outcome of solar radiation intensity that reaches the earth s surface [11 14].
In addition, most models were developed with well maintained recorded data
provided by weather stations. For these reasons, earlier studies correlating solar
radiation to meteorological parameters were conducted by Angstrom in 1924. In
his research, a simple numerical technique correlating solar radiation to sunshine
hours was developed. Equation (1) represents the modified form of Angstrom
model by Prescott as [15]; H_i/H_o =a+bS(1) where by H_o is the global solar
radiation on a clear day, H represents final solar radiation outcome, a and b are
regression coefficients and S equals number of sunshine hours in a day. Since then,
numerous models and numerical techniques have been developed using
meteorological parameters together with the sites geographical locations in
developing solar radiation models. Most of these models fall into three categories
[16]; Stochastic Algorithm Satellite Derived Empirical Technique Correspondingly,
several methods were used to estimate solar radiation intensity [17]. The development
of models using empirical relationships has gain wider spectrum of applicability
because of its simplicity and convenient use of variables
Contemporary Academic Deliberations Of Love s Alchemy

Contemporary academic deliberations of Love s Alchemy by John Donne and On
My First Son by Ben Jonson has given rise to one controversial issue: whether love
should be labeled as uncertainty. In fact, some argue that the poem Love s Alchemy
expresses the cynical love, whereas, the poem On My First Son focuses more on
pious love. These contrasting views have also been articulately conveyed through
words, such as, Alchemy and Farewell in the individual poetic works of both Donne
and Jonson, respectively, with one conclusion: to alter men by first enticing them to a
fantasy world, wherein they are rendered unstable, and later, compelling them to
correct themselves. Furthermore, though both of these aforementioned poems are

In fact, Donne is in a constant quest to find a deeper meaning of love, though he is
only met with disappointments at the end. To elaborate on this point, though Donne
concedes that he had once found love when he mentions, I have loved, and got, and
told (line 3), he (Donne) still carries the disjointed feelings that he got from this love.
Furthermore, Donne utters, Tis not the bodies marry, but the minds, (line 19). Here
Donne s profound connection and obsession with death, and that he is constantly
aware of it. The words, shadow , angelic short scorn are related to the underworld
that one may not easily embrace; thus, causing displeasure. Many who might
object to the notion that a woman plays a special role in a man s life and she has
the ability to make her man happy, Donne attacks this very notion as well: Our ease,
our thrift, our honor, and our day, Shall we for this vain bubble s shadow pay?
(line13 14). By these verses, Donne implies that though men have to work harder to
serve their women, in return, however, men do not receive the same amount of true
love that they deserve; their love remains unrequited. As a

adults and teens in any gender, size, and ethnicity that mainly targets fit, light skinned
young women who are into the latest fashion trends.
The arrangement and spacings of the furniture give Forever 21 a modern look to draw
in their target customers. For example, their pieces of furniture. Customers who walk
in the store will observe white furniture such as tables and shelves throughout the
store, which makes the store look spacious for the items to look neat and presentable.
Although the store has many pieces of furniture, the store does not provide benches

Summary Of The Language Problem By Stanley Goldman
Act II deals with the famous interrogation scene which begins with some legitimate
questions but soon a torrent of ridiculous questions are showered on Stanley.
Language is used as a violent tool of abjection by Goldberg and McCann and it
serves to intensify Stanley s paranoia and lay the foundations of his nervous
breakdown. Austin E. Quigley in his article The Language Problem suggests that,
Stanley is confronted by two visitors, who overcome his self confidence neither by
employing silence nor by concentrating on an inefficient use of language. They
verbally bludgeon him into submission and silence by the sheer number and variety
of their accusations (289).
The interrogation scene begins with Stanley initially trying to defend himself but ...

In this an all male household, there is a female character Ruth, who is also the wife
of Teddy. Teddy and Ruth are a married couple with three children and they return to
Teddy s home in London after spending six years in America a surprise to the family
who is unaware of Teddy s marital status or that he has three sons. Ruth s past life
is not clear in this play so we have to assume a few things about her. We know for
sure that she was a body model and maybe a prostitute before meeting Teddy her
husband. What makes her choose this profession in the first place is not
mentioned. Was she compelled by a flesh peddler or poverty? Or she had willfully
chosen this profession to be sexually desired by others. The second proposition
seems more realistic as towards the end of the play she agrees to stay with Teddy s
family, serve them and take up prostitution as a profession. Now what triggers a
woman to be sexually desired by males? The answer is power. A woman who is
generally weaker in terms of physical might in comparison to males, for which she
is also, treated as an abject who is to be controlled or dominated by the patriarchal
society, can exercise full control and power over her male counterpart with the help
of her sexual powers and
The Start Of The 2003 Iraq War
The start of the 2003 Iraq War has been debated by many historians. The arguments
made by Krebs and Lobasz in their article Fixing the Meaning of 9/11 Hegemony,
Coercion, and the Road to War in Iraq are very persuasive, as are the arguments
made by David Lake in What Caused the Iraq War? . These arguments center around
the mindset of the Bush Administration, which was fearful of Weapons of Mass
Destruction (WMD) and eager to use the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as rationale for war
regardless of clear evidence. Other historians have presented considerable arguments
as well, such as Debs and Monteiro, who argue that Iraqs possibility of having
nuclear weapons posed concern to the Bush administration. However, the best
rationale for the start of the 2003 Iraq Warcombines the coercion model put forth by
Krebs and Lobasz with the Lake assertion that the post war rebuilding was not
adequately considered. Krebs and Lobasz have the most salient arguments on
manipulations of information, with insightful points regarding the motives of the
Bush administration. Their points, however, aren t complete as David Lake
contains stronger information in certain parts of the debate. Lake adds important
observations about Saddam s inability to admit to not having nuclear weapons and
the U.S. s failure to estimate the costs of the post war were key causes for the start
of the war. Krebs and Lobasz first point is that the Iraq War was made acceptable to
the American public by fixing
Essay on Ice Hockey
Ice Hockey
I. History
Around 1820 the sport started to catch on among the visitors to the frozen lakes.
People had played field hockey and another game in Europe for years, but this new
version of the old sport required that it s players put on skates. Using metal blades
that could be strapped to their boots, the players would cut branches from trees to use
as sticks; for pucks they would use round pieces of cork or wooden balls. In the
1870s, each team was made up of nine players skating at the same time, and body
checking was not permitted. There were no substitutions, so players were expected to
play the entire 60 minutes of the game.
By 1880, the game had begun to grow into the game we know today; teams were ...

Play begins with a face off, when the referee drops the puck between the opposing
centers. Unlike most sports, player substitutions occur during play. A goal is
scored when the puck is driven into the opponent s goal. A player who scores three
goals in one game is said to have scored a hat trick. Games are divided into three 20
minute periods, and, if the score is tied, they proceed into an overtime period that
varies under different sets of rules.
Penalties are assessed for various infractions, and the offending player is sent to a
penalty box for two minutes for a minor infraction and five minutes for a major one.
Teams may not substitute for their penalized players during the penalty, except
during a misconduct penalty, which usually requires a player to spend ten minutes
in the penalty box. No team can be at more than a two player disadvantage at a
time, and a team with a one or two player advantage is said to have the power play.
III. Playing Area
Ice hockey is played on an oval ice rink about 200 ft (about 61 m) long and about 85
ft (about 25.5 m) wide and enclosed by a board wall about 4 ft (about 1.2 m) high.
Two goals, each 4 ft high and 6 ft (1.8 m) wide, are centered on goal lines at each
end of the rink, not more than 15 ft (4 m) from the end wall. Two blue lines divide
the playing area into three equal sized zones: the
Phonological Development in Children
Phonology is study of the sound system of the language and the rules for their
combination. There are about 200 sounds used in languages throughout the world. As
we all know, sound is the beginning of language learning. In learning to talk,
children must acquire knowledge of the phonological forms of words and phrases of
their native language and must learn the articulatory and phonatory movements
needed to produce these words and phrases in an adult like manner. Children learn
their phonological system of native language even since as young infant. They first
year of an infant s life which is before they can utter their first word are known as
prelinguistic stage. Children do not utter their first word until they are about one...

to learn about language structure is known as prosodic bootstrapping . While children
at 8 months old generally do not understand the meaning of the most single word yet,
they still able to understand the meaning of certain phrases they hear a lot. By 9

Identity Theft Or Identity Fraud
The evolution of technology has enabled criminals a new form of prey. This
problem is known as identity theft or identity fraud. The development and growth
of the world wide web and personal computers being have made everyday things
easier for everyone, but have also made it easier for criminals to gain access to
information needed to steel someone s identity. This is a crime which cost people
thousands of dollars and countless hours of time spent to regain their losses and the
damages done by having their life turned upside down by identity theft.
Albrecht(2016). This paper will discuss just how big of a problem identity theft is, a
few of the typical types of identity theft, possible preventative actions that should be
taken to avoid identity theft, and the actions a person having identity stolen should
take once they realize they have been compromised. The main thing that seems to
have to be done is preventative measures by both the potential victims and creditors
to keep information private so thieves cannot get the access in the first place. The
more difficult that you make it to get to your information the less likely you are going
to be victimized. Albrecht(2016).
The basic definition of Identity theft is the unauthorized use or attempted misuse of
an existing credit card or other existing account, the misuse of personal information to
open a new account or for another fraudulent purpose, or a combination of these types
of misuse The Bureau of Justice
Living Off Of Minimum Wage
Living off of Minimum Wage in the United States
In Barbara Ehrenreich s documentary novel, Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By
In America (2001), she claimed that it is almost impossible to live off of minimum
wage in the united states. She supports her claim by writing a documentary novel
explaining the details of the life of the American struggles caused by the minimum
wage. Through her book, she supports that minimum wage salary is insufficient
means of survival and leads to a difficult life. After encountering many people who
falsely accuse welfare receivers of being lazy and not work hard enough, she wrote
a book to challenge and change the public s negative opinion towards them and also
about the day when the minimum wage workforce will stand up for themselves and
demand to have a higher wage. Ehrenreich s purpose for writing this novel was to
bring attention to wage workforce by showing the general American public the life of
their fellow citizens who are struggling to survive.
The main, primary theme that Nickel and Dimed focuses on is the hardship and
distress caused by the poverty in the United States. Ehrenreich s main concern
regarding this theme is how it is practically impossible to have basic necessities for
survival with the amount of money earned from a minimum wage salary. She grasps
the reader s attention and proves her claims and arguments by using a unique
technique called investigative journalism, which allows her to get the first hand
experience

Natural Gas During The Middle East And Other Opec
Members
Introduction James Buchan, renowned journalist and political pundit, stated in a
2006 edition of the New Statesman, A century ago, petroleum what we call oil was
just an obscure commodity; today it is almost as vital to human existence as water.
Had Mr. Buchan been writing this article today, it is likely that he would argue oil is
more vital to human existence than water. There is no denying the human
dependence on oil, relying on it to provide us light and heat, power our machines,
and transport us throughout the globe. Almost forty years ago much of the western
discourse on oil was dedicated to forecasting the future of oil, making predictions on
where it would come from, who would control it, and how much it would cost....

Tensions between Israel and Gaza, the turbulent political make up in Syria, and the
deep rooted dispute between Turkey and Cyprus were initial challenges that have only
intensified with continued resource discoveries. These political constraints have
profound implications on commercial prospects for the natural gas considering they
have delayed or completely called off bidding rounds for petroleum companies. The
purpose of this paper is to provide an analytical report on the economic realities of
the natural resource findings in the Eastern Mediterranean region. It will focus on
the parties involved including state and non state actors. It will probe the potential
opportunities for extraction, looking specifically at the possibility of monetizing the
resources for all players. Finally, it will assess the challenges needed to overcome in
order to make any option a viable one.
Assessment of Reserves by Country The United States Geological Survey estimated
that the Levantine Basin exceeds 3455 Billion cubic meters (Bcm) in natural gas
resources. With the recent discoveries off the coast of Cyprus and Israel, the total
estimated reserves have skyrocketed. As of 2013, the discoveries for each nation are
as follows:
1. Israel
By 2013, the two major Israeli discoveries consisted of the Leviathan and Tamar gas
Realism Vs. Realism Of The United States
Realism versus Idealism. This argument is almost as old as the world we live in. The
Unites States has gone through a lot of stages in its history. The United States was
sometimes realist and sometimes idealist and that led to different presidents,
governments and polices.
A Realist is a person who believes that the word and the people of the word can t
change. They believe that we can make the world a better but the people will still
be the same no matter what you do to them. For example Mahan was a realist who
believed that a man s role in the world is to clime with his country to the top
knowing that some one will claim that spot from you in the future. In the history of
the united states there were a lot of examples or realist politicians. One of the first
and most important realists is Alexander Hamilton. An Idealist is a person who
believes that the people can be changed by education and time. An idealist is a
peaceful person who believes that we can solve our conflicts without wars. They
believe that war is the failure in human evolution and that we should not turn to it to
solve our problems because all war is a symptom of man s failure as a thinking
animal (John Steinbeck). Woodrow Wilsonis an example of an idealist presedent
Afred Thayer Mahana was a great realist, a U.S naval officer and a historian. Mahan
was also a professor in the Naval War College and lectured on naval history and

that all her work is already in her head that she only has to let it out when she is
writing. We can see Lori parks emphasies on just writing by the 365 days 365 plays,
which shows that she just writes, which helps her let out all the plays trapped in her
mind. She is strongly influence by greek myths, which is seen in her play Venus, as
well as the American Story. Her influences are shown in the play that is somewhat
What Are The Pros And Cons Of Domestic Terrorism
Domestic terrorism in America
In America we have a lot of domestic terrorism. Domestic terrorism didn t become a
problem until the 9/11 terror attacks on September 11 2001 in New York City when
planes were hijacked hit the buildings and killed over 3,000 people. Since then there
have been over 10 major terror attacks in the United States. Five of which have been
been the most effective to the United States the five are Pulse nightclub shooting, the
two church shootings, Las Vegas massacre, San Bernardino California shooting.
Domestic terrorism started in New York when a bomb exploded on Wall Street in the
financial district in the 1950s and 1960s. The pros to domestic terrorism is that it
makes our country stronger and knows what to

Management INTRODUCTION: Oil and gas theft and spillage along pipelines are
caused by two major phenomena: damages and ruptures. However, pipeline
damages are mainly due to sabotage. Due to diminished pipeline and aging process
of the pipes there will be ruptures in pipeline. In Nigeria oil and gas theft and
spillage occurs due to a number of causes which include corrosion of pipeline and
tankers, sabotage, oil production operations and insufficient or non functional
production equipment. Pipeline rupture is caused due to very old and lack regular
inspection and maintenance .As a result it is causing environmental pollution and
wastage of resources. To over come this problem an Engineering Systems
Development Company called Abuja Energy Surveillance (AES) Ltd has
developed a new oil and gas pipeline monitoring system using drones and

Suicide Squad Essay
Despite its highly anticipated and long awaited debut for fans, the DC Comics
motion picture Suicide Squad was annihilated by countless movie critics. One critic
went for the jugular and calls the film, ...a tired image, a stale and meaningless stab
at grandeur (Lawson, Suicide Squad Isn t Even the Good Kind of Bad ). Grandeur ?
What were these critics expecting to see? There was never any misrepresentation.
The movie was not made with any hopes to win an Oscar or a SAG nomination,
nevertheless, for what it is; the filmhit its mark (no Deadshot pun intended). At best,
it may receive accolades at the MTV Movie Awards and more than likely, the film s
stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Jared Leto
(Joker) will gain a golden popcorn statue due to their on screen chemistry alone.
The movie was not created for critics, it was made for fans of the comic book genre

  • 2. Factors Influencing The Formation Of Policy Introduction Our nation continues to grapple with the challenges of public higher education. A variety of ideas have been presented to help public higher education continue evolving. While legislators present their case through economic fluctuation, an ever changing assessment of the value of higher education, and demographic changes amongst other pressures affordability, access, and accountability (AAA) continue to dominate the discourse. This is a national phenomenon that plays out in the state legislature. Donald E. Heller edits a collection of essays titled The States and Public Higher Education Policy: Affordability, Access, and Accountability. These essays help address many of the factors influencing the formation of policy. While this is an informative compilation only chapter 1, 2, 4, 8, and the concluding chapter will be analyzed. This analysis will provide an overview of the key arguments, a critique of the chapters, and present comments and questions about the implications of these policy proposals. Key Arguments In the first chapter authored by Donald E. Heller discusses trends in the affordability of public colleges and universities. He attempts to challenge how college cost is assessed in relation to financial aid. With the inclusion of additional fees that students are required to pay and a student and family s ability to pay, we still continue to see that the cost of college takes a bigger percentage of family resources each year. This problem is even worse
  • 3. Buck Stereotypes For the young black child looking in the toy aisle and at the TV and searching in books for someone like them, a role model and a place to connect with it, representation matters. To the young white child, going to a mostly white private school or homeschooling (like I did) who gets their worldview and idea of how things are from their parents, TV, mainstream media, and books representation matters. When black children look to the media and don t see themselves reflected in it, they are told that they don t matter. When white children look to the media and are presented with people who mostly look like them, with the only people who are not white being presented as criminals, they learn to think of others as criminals and themselves as superior. The relations between raceand media have come a far way and still have a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many of the stereotypes we see of black people in media date back to slavery, and are simply updated over the years to fit the untrue narrative people are used to. A large number of these stereotypes were used to justify and excuse slavery. The fact that they re still in circulation is disgusting. For example, the Buck stereotype is the stereotype of the violent male sexual predator with a lust for white women. An old example of this stereotype is in the 1915 movie The Birth Of A Nation . A modern example is Terry Crews character in the movie White Chicks a black man who exclusively pursues white women. This stereotype was used to make black men look like a threat to white women, and white men their saviors . Then there s the Jezebel stereotype an overly sexualized black woman, a siren , portraying black women as bitches and whores . The idea of the Jezebel was used as an excuse for the sexual abuse of black women during slavery to make it seem like they deserved whatever happened, and reflect blame back on the
  • 4. Santiago In How To Read Literature Like A Professor As Santiago continues to struggle with the Marlin many characteristics become obvious, specifically characteristics that show a parallel to Christ. Referring back to the example used in How to Read Literature Like a Professor, Santiago shares similarities to Christ. Throughout his struggle with the Marlin, many references are made to being alone and far from land. This isolation is similar to that of Jesus, and along with the doubts of his peers, puts Santiago in a similar situation as that of Christ s. The old man also acquires cuts on his hands and carries the fish on his back. Jesus carried the cross that eventually killed him upon his back, and was pierced through the hands. This poses the question of whether Santiago will share the fate
  • 5. Road Rage 19 March 2012 Life during the Holocaust: Life in the ghettos, Dr. Mengele s medical care, and food in the camps Genocide during WWII was unbelievably cruel and awful. The Holocaust was sure to be remembered from this time period and have permanently engraved horrible memories into those who survived. During the Holocaust many victims suffered while living in the ghettos, soon to reach the camps they also suffered there as well. The encounters with Dr. Mengele were unbearable too. Elie Wiesels memoir Night is very important especially the fact that it accurately describes what really happened during the Holocaust. Mengele (a typical SS officer: a cruel face, but not devoid of intelligence, and wearing a monocle); a conductors baton in his hand, he was standing among the other officers (Wiesel 29). From this moment on Elie stood frightened like never before. Dr. Mengele being head of selection process only took the fittest people to work. For this process you would want to be between the ages of 16 40. Elie Wiesel and his father lied about their age to make sure they would make it through selection. Elie was 15 but said he was 18 and his father was 50 but said he was 40. Without lying they probably would have both been selected to go to the crematories (Wiesel 30). Elie Wiesel remembers when Mengele was selecting more victims but just by marking their number down. Luckily Wiesel was not selected but more or less hid his number from the doctor as he was running past. The end of the road was near for those who had gotten marked down in the doctors little book (Wiesel 68). Though selection was a big piece of the Holocaust so were the medical experiments held by Dr. Mengele on innocent victims of the Holocaust. His experiences are very similar in detail to others as well. Typically known for getting his reputation as an SS doctor at Auschwitz, Josef Mengele was also known for conducting medical experiments on those who suffered during the Holocaust. Dr. Mengele did many horrible experiments on those who suffered during the Holocaust. Dr. Mengele did many horrible
  • 6. The Complications Of The Relations Between Henry VI And... Unsolved issues and the complications of the relations between the House of Lancaster and the House of York initiated the government s main struggle: no heir to the throne. The main struggle of the War of the Roses was the feud between the house of York (symbolized by a white rose) and the house of Lancaster (symbolized by a red rose) (J. Lacey, 2012). Henry VI led the house of the house of Lancaster; On the other hand, Richard of York led the house of York . Although both houses share Edward II as their ancestor, they fought over the throne and thus, the War of Roses developed. However, Henry VI had the legitimate right to throne, but unlike his father, were weak and a poor leader. This situation became worse when the people surrounding Henry

  • 9. Urban Legend Of Crocodiles In The Harlem City The legends of crocodiles in the sewers of major cities is a gripping form of urban legend that makes it own genre, between horror and cryptozoology. The legend in this form extends as far back as the 1930 s in the United States, and has been circulated through the internet since the internet itself circulated the globe, and many accounts of sightings have spread through Youtube s pseudo documentary community, and Facebook s unique niche for fantastic tales. Humans crave wild and fictitious stories of monsters in the city, and a creative few supply them with such tales. This legend is stamped throughout American history and each version of it has the same theme a vicious beast lurking beneath our cities, lying in wait to swallow it s next victim.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reptiles were rumored to survive the plumbing, and eventually make their way to the city sewers, living their days out beneath urban centres, eating rats and refuse, and frightening the occasional sanitary worker or pipe engineer. Certain accounts of this legend vary, sometimes changing the city, altering the animal, or exaggerating how the teller reacted, such as taking the offensive and killing the beast. Salvatore Condoluci is one of the first to report this incident. He initially claimed that he had caught and ultimately killed a seven to eight foot long alligator they discovered beneath an open manhole on 123rd Street near the Harlem River, (NYT 2009). The most popular renditions of the beast in the sewer involve different animals. In the recent Suicide Squad movie, the character Killer Croc, who is a human genetically spliced with a crocodile, is forced to live in the sewers of a maximum security prison camp, furthering the idea that reptiles are suited to live in sewers. In the most recent Spider Man movie, spider man is forced to batter with Dr. Curt Connors, a man who is also genetically spliced with a lizard, and takes refuge in New York s sewer system, away from the human populace. • 11. John Barker s Diary Manassia Karasev Mrs. Aars APUSH 11 October, 2016 In 1775 General Thomas Gage, Commander if the British Force in the Massachusetts Colony, issued orders to the troops quartered in Boston, Massachusetts to march to Concord and and destroy the colonial military stores that were there. The reason the British were in Massachusetts in the first place was because the people of Massachusetts were very rebellious and have had many violent resistances against the British already. The secret orders that Gage issued were hardly a secret and some colonials knew about this movement a week before the British moved out. Both the British troops and the colonial militia meet each other at Lexington Green on the 19th of April, 1775. Suddenly a bullet whizzed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... John Bateman, a British soldier who was captured by the colonists said that he heard a command to fire given to the Regulars, and that none of the colonists fired at the Regulars(3). This completely goes against the British evidence which clearly says that they did not give the command to fire and were giving orders to not fire. Also, since he was captured by the colonists, he obviously wants to say something that pleases them since they are his audience. That makes his evidence unreliable since he could have made that up to please the colonists who had captured him. Next up is Sylvanus Wood who was a commonwealth of Massachusetts and gave a sworn testimony on June 17, 1826. He Said that The officer then swung his sword, and said Lay down your arms, you damn d rebels, or you are all dead men fire (5). He also said One member of the company told me, many years since, that after Parker s company had dispersed, and he was at some distance, he gave them the guts of his gun (5). Wood said that The British ordered their troops to fire, as well as him saying that one of the colonists did in fact fire against the Regulars. This contradicts the fact that Bateman said that none of the colonists fired at the Regulars while Wood is saying that at least one colonists did fire upon the Regulars. It also seems a bit unreliable since Wood s testimony was made almost 50 years later after the event took

Cm570 Unit 1 Storyboard Evaluation Program Design and Development CM0570 Lee Spratt w14008420 Evaluation of Storyboard A With regards to the evaluation of the first storyboard, I will be taking into consideration the 10 Usability Heuristics. I will be going into each one of them and evaluating the storyboard accordingly. Visibility of system status This heuristic takes into consideration how the system alerts and informs the user about the current activity that is being carried out by system within an acceptable time frame. I believe that our storyboard conforms to this heuristic in that fact that at the top of the window it tells the user of the system what page they are currently on. I believe that the buttons and the text boxes with the fact that they also instruct the user what to do in real time fall under this category. However if I was going to improve on the design we could have colour coded the text boxes so they change... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In our system we have adopted and applied this heuristic as when an error message appears it has a constructive message that alerts the user as to how they can fix the error by indicating the problem and its location. E.g when a user enters a username that doesn t follow the format of the username then an error message appears stating what went wrong and where. Help and Documentation This heuristic covers the need for simple yet informative documentation, that way when the user is stuck they have a guide that will inform them on what they have to do. Our system has been constructed in such a manner that it is straight forward, so there is no requirement for help and documentation to be created. However if I was going to make an improvement to our system then I would create such documentation that way it would clear up any ambiguity if the user does get stuck on a specific function of the system. The first five stages of Erikson s theory, which he notes as crisis, are trust versus mistrust, autonomy versus shame and doubt, initiative versus guilt, industry versus inferiority, and identity versus role confusion. The first four personal spaces, of Wilber s theory are the archaic, the magical, or egocentric, the mythical, and the rational. Erikson s theory states that an emotional crisis must be successfully met for normal development. Wilber s theory is similar in that he uses an example of a multiple story building. If one stage isn t completely understood, but not mastered, then that floor will end up leaning, and a building like that cannot be sustained for long before its structural integrity is compromised. Erikson s theory is based that social interactions were the most important thing to consider for healthy development of children. The first stage, starting from infancy on to 1 year of age, has the crisis of trust versus mistrust. This just means that they develop either of these skills based on how well their needs are taken care of. The next crisis starts at 1 year of age up to 3 years of age, toddler age. This one is called autonomy

Customer engagement may lead to customer loyalty for engaging a customer during their visit to the store can make customers feel welcome and valued. As Leonard illustrates (2013) companies should instruct employees to actually listen and comprehend what the customer are saying and then decided what to do with that information. Similarly, Thompson (2004) mentions a distinctive competency that a company should possess is listening to customers and providing what they want. This allows for the customer loyalty to begin, cultivate and as long as it s maintained, the customer will continue to return to experience the nurturing effect that has grown among them. Leonard (2013), makes it a point to express that a company should also keep all promises made to their customer this, in turn, will result in trust. It contains a mixture of very important compounds that give it therapeutic and nutritional properties. These compounds as protein, glucose, lipid, vitamins, minerals, aspartic acid, gelatin, sterols, phosphorous compounds, acetylcholine, nucleic acids, and numerous trace ingredients. The ingredients are in the form of water, crude protein and monosaccharides. The remainder of the royal jelly is composed of an ether soluble fraction of fatty acid (Galaly et al., 2014). Royal jelly is a viscous jelly substance which is partially soluble in water with a density of 1.1 g/ ml. Its colour is whitish to yellow, the yellow color increases upon storage. Its odor is pungent, the taste being sour and sweet. Old RJ, which stored for long time tends to be darker and possess a rancid taste. For optimum quality, RJ should be stored in frozen state. According to water content, the viscosity of RJ varies and it slowly becomes more viscous when stored at room temperature or in a refrigerator at 5ВєC. The viscosity of RJ increases with increment of water insoluble nitrogenous compounds and a reduction in soluble nitrogen and free amino acids (Ramadan and Al Ghamdi, 2012). Royal jelly contains proteins, more than 80% of RJ proteins are soluble proteins called major royal jelly proteins (MRJPs) which are glycoproteins. These proteins perform

We should bare in mind, that color Doppler or 3D imaging can shed light on the characteristics of the fistula, such as inflammation of the tissues and edema. Without a doubt, that information can be very helpful for the timing of the procedure, whereas, serial sonographic examinations may reveal changes in characteristics of the fistula over time. Ultrasound might well be applied intra operatively, if needed. It is worth mentioning, that ultrasound examination might be undertaken by the surgeon, thus providing crucial additional information for the clinical investigation. Another benefit associated with the usage of ultrasonography is that it can be performed even during the physical examination, just next to the examination bed with minimal stress to the patient. These may be the loss of a loved one, a serious illness, the loss of a job or source of income, a terrorist attack, to mention but a few tragic events. More often than not, these events tend to be life changing, and how people react to them matters. For the most part, most people react to such incidences with a sense of uncertainty, accompanied by a flood of strong emotions. I will examine some of the different Statistical Modelling techniques and evaluate the merits of each in turn. I will use the Generalised Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model if it is found that the variance of the time series is non constant. My final forecasting model will primarily use the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model to predict future closing prices of the share, with a GARCH model of the variance incorporated. I will use the R Software to implement these methods. R is a large open source statistical software which is favoured by many professional statisticians and academics. Data Set I have obtained the Adjusted Daily Close Prices of Paddy Power PLC as quoted on the Irish Stock Exchange for the past 3 years, from October 15th 2008 to October 13th 2011. I believe that a sample of this size is large enough to test for statistical trends, such as seasonality. I have plotted my data set using the R software package. Figure 1 is what was generated. A sample of the data can be found in the References along with a link to an internet page containing the data. Thomas Hobbes Social Contract Theory may very well be responsible for the relationship between rulers have forged with its people, as he believed man should submit to authority for without a leader to govern the people, man would live in disarray. Immanuel Kant suggests an act of Good Will should be considered a moral obligation not a desired gesture. He understood in an unconditional moral obligation that is binding in all circumstances and is not dependent on a person s inclination or purpose (Philosophy .com). Although each of these philosophers make compelling arguments, one has to wonder, who inspired them? Since the dawn of time, men behaved like beasts with no concept of morality, no political conviction or even the perception of happiness. One philosopher above all others may have singlehandedly designed societies way of thinking, and may have also inspired the aforementioned philosophers Aristotle. • 37. The Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Essay Literature Review 2.1 Empirical Solar Radiation Prediction Models Solar radiation estimation models were developed using meteorological parameters and site geographical locations. These meteorological factors have a major influence on the outcome of solar radiation intensity that reaches the earth s surface [11 14]. In addition, most models were developed with well maintained recorded data provided by weather stations. For these reasons, earlier studies correlating solar radiation to meteorological parameters were conducted by Angstrom in 1924. In his research, a simple numerical technique correlating solar radiation to sunshine hours was developed. Equation (1) represents the modified form of Angstrom model by Prescott as [15]; H_i/H_o =a+bS(1) where by H_o is the global solar radiation on a clear day, H represents final solar radiation outcome, a and b are regression coefficients and S equals number of sunshine hours in a day. Since then, numerous models and numerical techniques have been developed using meteorological parameters together with the sites geographical locations in developing solar radiation models. Most of these models fall into three categories [16]; Stochastic Algorithm Satellite Derived Empirical Technique Correspondingly, several methods were used to estimate solar radiation intensity [17]. The development of models using empirical relationships has gain wider spectrum of applicability because of its simplicity and convenient use of variables

Contemporary academic deliberations of Love s Alchemy by John Donne and On My First Son by Ben Jonson has given rise to one controversial issue: whether love should be labeled as uncertainty. In fact, some argue that the poem Love s Alchemy expresses the cynical love, whereas, the poem On My First Son focuses more on pious love. These contrasting views have also been articulately conveyed through words, such as, Alchemy and Farewell in the individual poetic works of both Donne and Jonson, respectively, with one conclusion: to alter men by first enticing them to a fantasy world, wherein they are rendered unstable, and later, compelling them to correct themselves. To elaborate on this point, though Donne concedes that he had once found love when he mentions, I have loved, and got, and told (line 3), he (Donne) still carries the disjointed feelings that he got from this love. Furthermore, Donne utters, Tis not the bodies marry, but the minds, (line 19). Here Donne s profound connection and obsession with death, and that he is constantly aware of it. The words, shadow , angelic short scorn are related to the underworld that one may not easily embrace; thus, causing displeasure. By these verses, Donne implies that though men have to work harder to serve their women, in return, however, men do not receive the same amount of true love that they deserve; their love remains unrequited. Or she had willfully chosen this profession to be sexually desired by others. The second proposition seems more realistic as towards the end of the play she agrees to stay with Teddy s family, serve them and take up prostitution as a profession. Now what triggers a woman to be sexually desired by males? The answer is power. A woman who is generally weaker in terms of physical might in comparison to males, for which she is also, treated as an abject who is to be controlled or dominated by the patriarchal society, can exercise full control and power over her male counterpart with the help of her sexual powers and

The arguments made by Krebs and Lobasz in their article Fixing the Meaning of 9/11 Hegemony, Coercion, and the Road to War in Iraq are very persuasive, as are the arguments made by David Lake in What Caused the Iraq War? . These arguments center around the mindset of the Bush Administration, which was fearful of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and eager to use the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as rationale for war regardless of clear evidence. Other historians have presented considerable arguments as well, such as Debs and Monteiro, who argue that Iraqs possibility of having nuclear weapons posed concern to the Bush administration. However, the best rationale for the start of the 2003 Iraq Warcombines the coercion model put forth by Krebs and Lobasz with the Lake assertion that the post war rebuilding was not adequately considered. Krebs and Lobasz have the most salient arguments on manipulations of information, with insightful points regarding the motives of the Bush administration. Their points, however, aren t complete as David Lake contains stronger information in certain parts of the debate. Lake adds important observations about Saddam s inability to admit to not having nuclear weapons and the U.S. s failure to estimate the costs of the post war were key causes for the start of the war. Krebs and Lobasz first point is that the Iraq War was made acceptable to the American public by fixing

Using metal blades that could be strapped to their boots, the players would cut branches from trees to use as sticks; for pucks they would use round pieces of cork or wooden balls. In the 1870s, each team was made up of nine players skating at the same time, and body checking was not permitted. A goal is scored when the puck is driven into the opponent s goal. A player who scores three goals in one game is said to have scored a hat trick. Games are divided into three 20 minute periods, and, if the score is tied, they proceed into an overtime period that varies under different sets of rules. Penalties are assessed for various infractions, and the offending player is sent to a penalty box for two minutes for a minor infraction and five minutes for a major one. Teams may not substitute for their penalized players during the penalty, except during a misconduct penalty, which usually requires a player to spend ten minutes in the penalty box. She supports her claim by writing a documentary novel explaining the details of the life of the American struggles caused by the minimum wage. Through her book, she supports that minimum wage salary is insufficient means of survival and leads to a difficult life. After encountering many people who falsely accuse welfare receivers of being lazy and not work hard enough, she wrote a book to challenge and change the public s negative opinion towards them and also about the day when the minimum wage workforce will stand up for themselves and demand to have a higher wage. Ehrenreich s purpose for writing this novel was to bring attention to wage workforce by showing the general American public the life of their fellow citizens who are struggling to survive. The main, primary theme that Nickel and Dimed focuses on is the hardship and distress caused by the poverty in the United States. Ehrenreich s main concern regarding this theme is how it is practically impossible to have basic necessities for survival with the amount of money earned from a minimum wage salary. She grasps the reader s attention and proves her claims and arguments by using a unique technique called investigative journalism, which allows her to get the first hand experience
